    Strawberry matcha latte
    Linh T.

Please, I think about this place all the time. This is just the cutest spot for random items, groceries, coffee, and pastries! The workers are SO incredibly kind! There are outlets to study if needed. It is not a loud place, just casual coffee shop noise level. We had to try their chocolate chip and pb&j cookies, DIVINE. Our strawberry matcha latte and mont blanc paired perfectly with the eats! Now I'm thinking about visiting again. I need more cookies!

I went in because I work nearby and saw a picture of the blue mango smoothie and knew I needed it. I knew it would be cheap, but let me go ahead and say it is $15 for the one smoothie! Now it is a nice size, it would probably fill me up for a meal. It was delicious and I would come back for it. The service was great and chatted with me about my recent move. Since it is also a partial grocery store, the seating arrangement is kinda weird if you want to sit with a group and not in the outside patio area. Will probably save this place for special occasions

OVERVIEW: Another fancy schmancy cafe/coffee shop that fits right into Austin. Advertised as "seed oil-free" and "essential foods for daily thriving," this mini grocer bakes up fresh breads, cookies, and breakfast/brunch foods while selling higher-end/top quality oils, spreads, and pantry goods. A much better use of the space than Halcyon IMO. Overall, I thought it was great - the cookies are obviously their highlight. I would revisit! Best to go earlier in the day when they open. QUICK FACTS: - Parking? Yes, free street parking before 10am on weekdays and the parking lot near the park. Paid garages available as well. FOOD & DRINK RATINGS: - Strawberry matcha latte ($8, 5/5): All the drinks are $8, which is on the steeper end, but they seem worth it. This was a solid strawberry matcha latte and I loved the cold foam on top. The strawberry on the bottom is thick and doesn't mix well, but the foam on top gives it the flavor. Definitely one of the better matchas I've had in Austin! - PB&J cookie (5/5): Stellar cookie. Love that it's thick and big without being overly gooey or sugary. Great flavor, super soft, and I want to try all of the other flavors now! - Ham, egg, cheese "burridough" (3/5): They described this as a burrito and kolache mix. It was just okay. The salsa was pretty flavorful, albeit not spicy. The toast was my friend's and I didn't try it, but it looked great!

Stopped by for a cookie and a match cloud on a weekday morning and loved the vibe of the market. All the staff were super friendly and patient while I had decision paralysis on what to order. Inside the store there isn't a lot of space to sit and chit chat, the chair are all at the counter facing the window. There is patio seating outside but it'll probably be too hot once summer hits in full force. All the items there seem to be on the more expensive side. To be fair that cookie was massive but I'm still on the fence if it was worth the price or not.

I think since this was the opening week, the place was pretty crowded, but even so, the service was fast, which I could appreciate. I was not very impressed by the vanilla cream cold brew because while the coffee is good (smooth, not acidic), the oat milk that they used was watery, which diluted the coffee and got rid of the flavor entirely when the ice melted in the drink. As for the vanilla cold foam, it was nice and thick. It is dairy based, so if you're lactose intolerant, I'd recommend a different drink. They do have a good sized menu with a lot of interesting drink combinations and yummy looking food, so if you're not feeling the coffee, there's a lot of other things you could try.

Happy to have a little market close by! Def on the slightly expensive side but good when you have a craving for cookies like I did. The cookies are huge and so many flavors!

ThoroughFare took over the Halcyon spot and brought a fresh new concept filled with unique grab & go items, small market, made-in cookware and of course, delicious baked goods like Rye sourdough & banana Nutella cookies. Great spot to hang with limited seating inside and a handful of tables on their patio overlooking Mueller Lake.

I'm so glad this corner anchor space in Mueller is finally back open after Halcyon closed a long time ago. This is Thoroughbread's sibling, focused on all natural ingredients, and is an all-in-one cafe, bakery, deli, and grocery. The bread selection, is of course, gorgeous. The signature drinks, juices and smoothies all look amazing and are at a decent price point for Mueller. I tried the brioche with butter and it was a tasty treat with some salt on top. The staff was very helpful with picks. I can't wait to go back and try all the giant cookies.

Signature ham sandwich, and morning juice

Stopped by ThoroughFare in Mueller and really enjoyed it. The Morning Juice was absolutely amazing: refreshing, bright, and full of fresh flavor. The Signature Ham Sandwich was excellent too. The flavors (especially the ham and spreads) really came together perfectly on their house-baked bread. Great spot with everything made from scratch.

    The best chocolate chip cookies

I've tried a number of items now. I've had the beet juice, which was so fresh and delicious. I will say you have to like the taste of beets because it's thankfully not masked. I've tried most of the cookies and I enjoy them all. They are the perfect gifting cookie! My favorites are the chocolate chip cookie, the chocolate chip pecan, and the trail mix cookie is unreal! I've only tried the banana pecan butter smoothie and I can't wait to try more!! When you try this texture you will be back for more. I had a sandwich with broccolini in it and I recommend that. And last, but not least my number one recommendation is a cold side dish. It was carrots with chili oil and it blew my mind. I've never had anything like it. I felt like everything was made with care and an appreciation for what they're doing. It was a welcoming atmosphere. Cool staff. Great vibe. Side note: Even my 8 year old loved it. That's a W in our book.

Came here the other day with my friends we all ordered drinks and cookies, the staff was so nice. They offered me a free cookie because I was scared to try a new flavor! the young man at the counter is so sweet he recognized my boyfriend bc we come here often and its always good vibes 10/10 will be back for more cookies and coffee

I've loved ThoroughBread, their OG spot, since day one. I've been one of their biggest fans of the sourdough and cookies from the start. It's my go-to spot when I'm hosting or picking something up for friends, and I always love having their bread and cookies stocked at home. So when they opened ThoroughFare in Mueller, I was beyond excited! and t absolutely lives up to the hype. Their menu has expanded in the best way, and now I'm hooked on even more: the matcha cloud is unreal, the ham and cheese sandwich is a staple, smoothies, fresh juices, and the whipped butters are next-level. Even the wine selection is chef's kiss. 10/10 every time

The outside is a little boring, but the interior is dressed up a bit with a chandelier and bright shiny display cases full of baklava and other desserts. The employee offered us a free sample, which was a good start. I may be guilty of falling for the "Dubai Chocolate" trend, but I chose a few pieces of baklava that had chocolate pistachio flavor profiles. I also took a risk on a nest shaped pastry filled with lemon filling, and I think it was my favorite of them all! They have tables where you can eat your treats there, and wash your hands afterwards, which is important because there's almost no way to do it without getting sticky fingers. I ate two pieces there, and saved two more for the evening, which was a lot for one day, but it was sure a treat!

Customers can't rely on what they see online -- or even the in-store menu. That's disingenuous. We won't be back. Very disappointing.

While we're glad you joined us, I'm sorry to hear your breakfast experience didn't meet expectations. We'll be reviewing your comments with our culinary team to improve consistency. We appreciate you giving us a try and hope to provide a better experience in the future. Warm regards, Wes Brown It's great to receive a response from the business manager regarding our experience at their restaurant, but all four us thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast. We had absolutely no complaints regarding our dining experience. Caroline is affiliated with the Marriott Element and Aloft hotels and that, I believe, where the affiliation ends. I try to avoid hotel eateries but I've had great dining experiences at hotels like the JW Marriott in Austin. We, four, stopped by on a Sunday AM for breakfast and we had a great time. They do have brunch cocktails available and their bloody Mary's were deemed excellent with just the right amount of spice. My bloody Maria was on point and we all got our Sunday Funday started. Breakfast was wonderful. Our eggs arrived cooked perfectly. The pepper bacon and real potato sides were off the charts delicious. They also offer a few TexMex breakfast options and Plus one was raving about her Huevos Rancheros plate. Service was excellent even though they became busy our server was very attentive. Pro tip: Sat and Sun AMs if you arrive early you can easily score a table.

Located in the corner of the plaza (next to the grocery store). Cute little bakery with a sweet older lady who speaks zero English but was nonetheless extremely welcoming and kind. She even gave my toddler a complimentary macaron. Sweet. I am usually pretty adventurous with trying new pastries/snacks and it generally works out well. Unfortunately, I did not like most of the things we took home that day (my husband agreed). A taro egg ball thing -- not fans. A gelatinous rice blob inside a bamboo leaf (believe it's called Zongzi) -- also didn't work for us. Finally, the beef puff (which seemed like a safe bet) fell short of expectations. It's my fault -- I ignored that part that said "beef floss." It had a stringy/processed texture that I just didn't like. I just wasn't a fan of the flavors/textures -- but obviously that's subjective. I did enjoy the garlic bread we also thankfully bought -- it was soft and flavorful. If you're not familiar with the foods, I'd recommend making sure you get a few "safe" items like the cream bread or garlic bread. Ultimately, even though I wasn't crazy about most of what I tried, it was a cute little shop with a nice lady running it.
