Upstairs area perfect for studying. Only downside is that there are no outlets to plug mac/computer. Downstairs has tables and sitting and there are electric outages to plug in your devices! This Milk + Tea spot at a strip mall on Parmer is pretty chill. I've only been there a couple times, but it is a nice place. Besides the drinks which seem pretty standardized across Milk+Tea locations, I like how they have the interior of the store organized. There's where you order, of course. Order at a kiosk. But there are also several places to sit. Near the entrance, there are what you might call wooden bleachers. But across from them, there are some comfy chairs. They have some board game available. Further in, there is some seating on the second level. It's a pretty calm environment from what I can gather, so I like stopping by when I'm in the area. read more

They're known for their boba, but don't sleep on their matcha ! I'm not much of a boba drinker anymore, but their matcha drinks are so good. They use ceremonial-grade matcha, and you can truly taste the quality... smooth, well-balanced, and never bitter. They have so many matcha options, and I've tried three so far. The mulberry matcha is my absolute favorite. It's the perfect in-between sweet + tangy, made with whole milk, and the matcha flavor really shines through. Cute hangout spot with your friends. Drink amazing drinks + play games. Spacious with two levels, clean and has nice backdrops for photos. We got uji matcha, orange green tea and mango snow, all delicious! We had a great time chilling for a couple of hours. Was shocked to see minimal reviews on Yelp near the end of 2023 which made me think this spot was new. However it looks like it's just Ding Tea rebranded. Extremely familiar with Ding and I love them so I had high expectations. Price is steep though. Enter and order at a kiosk or up front, service is fast. No slight ice option so know less ice is still a ton of ice. They do have slight sugar but don't translate that to the ice levels, which we have in Seattle (slight being 25%). While some might complain that more ice is less of the drink (liquid), my main issue is that the ice waters down the drink extremely fast especially with Austin heat. Jasmine Green Milk Tea w/ Golden Boba - honey infused golden boba is just as expected: fabulous. Golden boba has an extra bounce compared to regular boba and Ding is one of the few places that offers it. Slight sugar helps the green tea be appreciated but I thought the tea wasn't that strong. Tasted a bit watered down but ice may be the culprit. read more

This place was a decent but average boba joint when it opened and it has only gone downhill since. A lot of the problems are actually from the clientele and management doesn't seem to care about doing anything about it. Basically whenever I go here with my partner we are overrun with rude zoomers who yell, shout, and bang on the foosball table and management just stands there and let them do whatever. Upstairs is supposedly the "study area" but the seats are always taken again by unruly dipsh*t teens blasting tiktoks on their phones without headphones and yelling loudly. Last time we were here there was a big group doing this AND all of them were drinking stuff from McCafe (yes, McDonald's coffee). There are at least TWO signs in the place that say "no outside food or drink"! Does management even care about enforcing their own rules? Apparently not! And it's clear that if anything they're trying to CATER to this crowd since that's all who goes here anymore. Hopefully all these people who just bring in outside food and drink without actually ordering anything are good for your business, because they're gonna make sure no one else comes at this rate. That doesn't even mention the drinks, which are overpriced and mediocre for what usually seems to amount to like ten bucks for a boba. The bobas are alright but nothing special, the sorta thing you can get at any boba shop. I had the pandan coffee here once and it actually was pretty terrible as far as that goes: weak iced coffee and flavorless green foam. Definitely don't get coffee at this place. But even for boba, you can do better. The seating has been usually spacious and accommodating which is why we started going here but if the crowd is going to make this a miserable experience every time and management doesn't care to do anything to enforce its own rules, then I with so many other boba options in town I don't see the point in coming here anymore. read more

I have been coming here since they opened. I always have a great experience. They are fast, attentive, and kind. At this point I have tried well over half the menu and enjoyed all of the different options. The environment itself is great, there are games to play, free wifi, and a upstairs area for more seating. Had the opportunity to check out Milk + Tea over the weekend for a working session and arrived around 11:30am. It was about thirty minutes into opening and they already had a handful of tables filled so you can tell it's a very popular spot. They have a pretty large menu and they focus on boba tea, build your own menu, fruit based drinks, and coffees. I opted for a brown sugar vietnamese coffee with oat milk and had it with 30% sweetener. Went ahead and added some boba for fun and gave my drink a nice texture. There are so many combinations you can move forward with and you're bound to find the winning combo. The staff working was very informative and knew how each drink would taste based on the sweetner and topping amount. So why the A-ok rating? I have to say that hygiene and cleanliness is very important to me and seeing how it was only thirty minutes into opening, it was unforgiving of the poor standards their bathroom was in. I have to say that gas stations have cleaner bathrooms and it was concerning to see the amount of grime the bathroom had. It wasn't buildup from a day but almost looked liked they hadn't been clean in days. Seeing their cleaning habits and hygiene levels had me concerned about how clean their setup and backstock/kitchen area really is. Was a bit hard to finish my drink and I left it sitting as we finished up our coworking session. I don't think I can consciously come back. It was enough to deter me away moving forward. read more

Very nice staff helpful with the menu. Decor is gorgeous and highly "grammable". Ha. Excellent, cute date spot or place to take the kiddos for cute pics and yummy drinks. Pretty good milk tea store in north Austin. I saw some photos online of this new store opening and had to come take a look for myself. It seems to be the same store as the old ding tea. But regardless I enjoyed my slush! They also had a cute upstairs area decorated with string lights. Would be a good place to do some work or studying. read more

Super yummy. I love boba shops and this was one I was really curious about. My friend and I came here and we loved our drinks. We both got a basic brown sugar milk tea, but I've also tried the crème brûlée one which was insanely good. We also got the gyoza here which also was surprisingly good. I didn't expect it to be just because it is a milk tea shop, but they were fresh and really tasty. The service was pretty quick too. We didn't wait long at all even for the gyoza and they actually brought us that part of our order. The atmosphere is super cute. Very much like coffee shop study vibes in my opinion. I could definitely see a lot of people coming there for some good treats and study or finish up some work. I will definitely be coming back to try more drinks read more

The only differences are related to branding. Though they did say that they'll be adding new recipes soon. If you liked Ding Tea, you will like milk+tea. Terrible service and drink. I went this afternoon. Lady who took order was very rude. I asked for a coffee but got a latte which tasted awful. Watered down fake milk with with fake flavors.
