The Sichuan green beans (despite this not being a Sichuan shop) were the best rendition of the dish of anywhere I've had in town - very good fry on the green beans with smoky wok hei, well seasoned with the pickled veg too. When your five year old opts to eat just this and rice, you know you got something special on your hand. The seafood fried noodle is also very good - tender squid, shrimp and veggies in the crunchy noodle nest is a great contrast in texture, as well as a lesson in simplicity. The peking pork ribs are also incredible - saucy, not overly sweet sauce clings to the riblets and gives you something incredible to gnaw on. Eventually they removed everything from the bill, but the lack of accountability and basic apology was incredibly disappointing. Finding a cockroach in your soup is bad enough, how this was handled made it worse. I hope management takes this seriously and improves both their food safety standards and customer service response.
