They nailed it in every sense of the imagination from themed drinks (alcohol and n/a) to the interior and exterior decor. Hoot & Annie is currently The Mos Eisley Cantina. And, it is! It's as though we've been transformed from this town that's about 20 minutes from Austin to the actual Mos Eisley Cantina. My boyfriend is a huge Star Wars nerd and absolutely loves it. The sandwich was good and flavorful, while the potatoes were decent. They could've used a little salt, which I didn't see on the table and never bothered to ask about, so that's on me. My girlfriend got their Avocado Toast with an egg on top. Can never go wrong with some avocado on glorious sourdough bread. Lastly, my friend got their Dutch Baby Pancake, which I tried a bite of, and whew, what a delight. Ruby's bar does a great job at making you feel comfortable. It really helps generate a good conversation on a Sunday morning, just from how relaxed the atmosphere feels. I asked and Sam confirmed they were half price during their late night happy hour. I ordered the pepperoni flatbread, which was above average and considering it was half price. It really hit the spot. However, when I closed out and was presented with my check, the flatbread was at full price. I asked Sam about that and he said he would have to talk to his manager. He came back and said it was his fault. There was not a late night happy hour and that I would need to pay the full price - are you kidding me?? That is what his manager told him to tell me. Sam apologized and admitted it was his fault, but also try to explain the situation by saying he was fairly new and still learning, but I still scratch my head at the manager's response to the situation.
