    Old fashioned in the making

I was browsing online for a location with a chill unique vibe and found this place. It has interesting art pieces with homage to various artists. We visited for the first time today and decided to split the Picatta Mixta for 2. It offered a nice variety and was all delicious! The chicharrones were crispy and savory. Yuca wedges were crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside, and the texture and mild taste was a nice contrast paired with the meats: beef and chicken fajitas as well as chicharrones. By the way, the chicken had a fresh-grilled taste. The beef was tender and tasty too! The dish also came with tostones and arepas that I recommend eating with the garlic cilantro dipping sauce. The slaw and guacamole are also nice additions to anything on the platter. The bartender is friendly and helpful. There's a good variety of mixed drinks and other beverages. I enjoyed the Dragon cocktail, a sweet and sour drink with a bit of spice. Their old fashioned is good, too. I am eager to return and try more of the menu.

Our server Ywrybhe was friendly, sociable, and very informative in making recommendations. I tried the burger and fries along with a signature cocktail that Ywrybhe recommended. The service was great, and the drinks, food, and ambience were all excellent.

The Point ATX may be marketed as a social bar with American food, but a closer look at the menu reveals a delightful fusion of Latin American flavors, influenced by the Venezuelan, Cuban, Mexican, and Colombian roots of its owners and staff. We came in search of authentic Venezuelan cuisine--cachapas, empanadas, and tequeños--and were thrilled to find all this and more, alongside classic American bar fare. Everything we tried was delicious, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommend!

The food was genuinely excellent, and the service was warm and attentive throughout. The bed was also a standout -- more comfortable than what I've experienced at most four-star hotels. I also loved the in-room Nespresso machine, which was a great touch. The only drawbacks are the location and setting. It's not ideal if you want to be close to a more metropolitan, walkable area, and being right on the creek means there can be quite a few bugs, especially in the evening. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for a relaxing, stylish getaway with great food and very comfortable rooms.

We were immediately greeted when we entered, and everyone was very friendly and helpful. We ordered our meals and found a shady outdoor table. The food didn't take too long, and we were summoned to pick up via text message. My daughters and one of the employees delivered our meals to the table. We enjoyed our spot for nearly 3 hours, and never felt rushed. We noticed that many people showed up for lunch... a family on bicycles, another family with 3 dogs, etc... Overall it was a pleasant experience. The food was freshly prepared and very tasty, and their drinks are fantastic... with a choice of size and hot or cold. From the street and the entrance you think you are in a coffee shop with food. But as we know, looks can be deceiving. This place was huge and it seemed to keep going and going. It really looks like a bar you can have some real fun at, but also chill if you prefer. Very clean and nicely furnished. We went for Sunday breakfast. Great menu with lots of choices. I tried the donut burger. Interesting combo of sweet and savory. I really liked it. It was a happy gloppy burger and dessert all in one. Highly recommend. My wife had the breakfast sandwich. She loved it and said she would order again. My daughter had the avocado toast. Well there is a dish to get excited about. The son in law had the chicken and waffles. He really liked it. He said the chicken was crispy and waffle was just right. The staff were all great. So friendly and helpful. All in all a win.

Bartender was friendly, interactive, professional, and kept my glass full. She was attentive without being pushy and did a great job of making my dining experience, very enjoyable. The enchiladas were outstanding, full of tender succulent, chicken, and the Verde sauce was something that really took the dish to another level. That sandwich is incredible. If you have not experienced it you need to... You will thank me later. For those who do not know, Sean Adams was a sports personality here in the Austin area that died prematurely. One of his favorite Meals was the prime rib sandwich so they named it in his honor. Pretty cool.

It tasted like a frozen burger. For the price they could have done a hand formed decent burger. I didn't order the $20 burger because that's just too much meat (1/2 lb). Hubby ordered the filet $37, he thought it was good, but over priced. You get some yummy mashed potatoes but no side salad or veggies. Hmmm! We also ordered the happy hour deviled eggs. They covered them in what I think was chili powder. The filling itself was good but getting a mouthful of chili powder was off putting. The waiter was really good. He kept our drinks full. The food came out fast too. For this price I hold them to a higher standard. They aren't giving high end quality, so next time we will find someplace else.
