Beer/Wine/Spirits Menu

The salad was quite large and the cheese burger was made to order. I enjoyed both. The place is a sports bar with several TVs showing different sporting events. The Brass Tap has both indoor and outdoor seating. I enjoyed talking with the bartenders as well as a few patrons. Just stop by and be yourself as long as society is accepting of it.

I loved the Brass Tap in Round Rock and was excited to try this new location. As a bar, it's a pretty solid place. Lots of TVs and plenty of variety on the drink menu. The service could use some work as our waitress was very disinterested in our table. The food was hit or miss. A few of the items were just not prepared well. I would not recommend the buffalo cauliflower (made up of tiny shredded cauliflower florets instead of larger nugget-sized pieces like most restaurants) and the Brussels sprouts were strange (undercooked and underseasoned). The Boom Boom shrimp was really delicious and my son enjoyed the burger with Mac n cheese on it. Overall, pretty good place to grab a drink and then maybe go eat somewhere else.

"Always Current", except it's not at all. It's simply a replacement for the paper menu they had when they opened.

Update: What a disappointment this place has become. Went in a couple of days ago, my sixth visit, and it will be my last. They advertise "over 200 craft beers", and that's simply nonsense. The last two times I've been in, they are out of Save The Wotld's Chasing Broncos, and the beertender told me this last time, "Yeah, we never got another keg". Lone Pint's Yellow Rose? No longer listed. These are world class hazy IPAs, from right here in Texas, and this place can't/won't stock them? Crazy. But they'll tell you they have Electric Jellyfish. Wow. So does every other restaurant in town. If I wanted to go to Chili's for a beer, I would. Clueless owners, hard to understand how they operate as a Brass Tap.

Fantastic beer selection, great atmosphere, staff is friendly and food is good. Italian sub and hot honey pepperoni pizza are both awesome.

I visited on a Tuesday night and was pleasantly surprised. They have trivia night, which added a fun vibe to the evening. The place is very clean and nicely decorated inside. The bar is a standout feature, as it opens up to a lovely patio outside, creating a great atmosphere. The bar itself is huge and impressive. The food was excellent. I tried the Italian club, which was delicious, and the tots were also great. There's a great variety on the menu, ensuring something for everyone. The selection of beers on tap is extensive and impressive. However, the service was mediocre. It was quite busy when I was there, so that might have been a factor. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and would recommend giving this place a try

Food is great and the bar staff is friendly! Love the beer selection! Wish they had 512 IPA but hey, you can't have it all..

If you're looking for an upscale dive bar with a great beer selection and solid food, this is the place. The staff was friendly, and next time, I'd definitely opt for outdoor seating--it looked much more inviting than the indoor space.

Boom boom shrimp!! Awesome!!

There's a large row of coolers that run along the right side with a wide variety of styles/breweries and even NA options-and the back has a lot of European and domestic 'whales' that run high price tags but are harder to find. You can mix and match pretty much anything. Is it a bar? You could say that, any of the beers in the cooler can be consumed on-site; there's picnic tables both inside and outside and there's bar type games: pinball, foosball, darts that you can play while you hang out and drink. They don't have a kitchen but there's always a food truck right outside or you can bring your own in. I've never been for bingo or comedy nights or anything like that. I come for the brews, chill out and eat good food; it's kind of like being in someone's rec room but with way more beer. My only real knock is the corkage fee, if you're going to drink on-site they do charge $2 bucks per, which doesn't seem like much but it adds up.

Somehow…read moreit's okay to argue with paying customers (a true lack of what customer service is all about)! My experience, for someone that was a regular, this was more than disappointing. The business has a music bingo on Friday nights (or every other) which can be over excessively load. I was with a group of 15+ people - fellow members of an International club visiting the location. The group decided to move out onto the patio because it was too load in the dining area to have a conversation. Shortly thereafter that, the host of the music bingo placed a load speaker out onto the patio and turned it up full blast. We tried to get him to turn it down, but he refused. Thus, our group disbanded leaving only 4 of us. It continued to be extremely load out on the patio and several people started to complain... so I took it onto my own to to turn the speaker down to a reasonable level - I received a applause from the other customers. Within moments, a staff member walked out onto the patio and turned the speaker up to a ear deafening level. I asked her to turn it down and her response was... "this is the way, it always is!" With an attitude like that I became upset - I gave her a piece of mind (a couple of word slipped out - nothing that she hasn't heard before in her life). Moments later, the manager came out and admonished me in a very disturbing manner, which again, was poorly handled. It will be suggesting to my fellow International members and my Meetup group, to look for alternative venues that will appreciate our business (there so many in Cedar Park). Apparently, Whitestone Brewery has more customers than they need. I didn't realize that I had not completed my review - this goes back to the beginning of the year. Note: the response from the Owner is completely inaccurate. Ryan wasn't even there the night it happen - only going on what his employees told him. I have witnesses (business owners that are very involved with the community) that observed the entire event and they were taken back by the whole disregard to customer service. Instead of being apologetic, he throws around statements that legitimizes his inadequacies. A real piece of work.

One stop shopping for primo eating and drinking good times…read more * * * Obsidian Brewery makes beer. I have no idea how the beer is. I may visit Obsidian Brewery time after time after time after time and never find out how their beer is. This is because a) They have an outstanding bar and b) They have an outstanding kitchen. For me, beer is a hardship beverage you drink when there is nothing else better available. When I go to a bar, I can sometimes be looking for mix-mastering. Usually I am looking for outstanding top of the line hard spirits. * * * When I walked into Obsidian, I looked at their bar. It was love at first sight. In front of me were twenty yards of three shelves of the most wonderful bottles I could possibly imagine. Half of them I had never heard of before. * * * I settled on a Buddha's Hand Gin. Buddha and Gin rarely appear in the same sentence Never mind the same label on a bottle. I ordered it straight up. I went immediately to Nirvana. Forget the meditation and the austerities. The Buddha's Hand Gin was as good as a trip to the Himalayas. Buddha's Hand is an obscure citrus fruit that grows multiple protuberances the way some horseradishes do. It is golden and looks like a hand. Ergo the name. The Buddha's Hand Gin is a citrus tinged gin with an edge more like orange zest than like orange juice. The additional botanicals make it strong, attention grabbing, fruity and yet combative. I was absolutely fascinated. Note that Buddha's Hand Gin is only one of the many items they have to explore there. I am totally ready to do more exploring. * * * The kitchen at Obsidian is also of distinction. The savvy local guide I came with adored his Thai Curry Wood Fired Rings. I went with a Cheesy Bread. This is open-faced grilled cheese on a thick slice of bread the size of a shoebox, with a wonderful homemade tomato sauce on about 1/3 of it. It is the best cheese pizza you have ever had. It is what cheese pizza is supposed to be if you don't use the standard canned ingredients that institutional providers sell to Domino's. I was as in love with my cheese bread as I was with my citrus gin. * * * The company was also outstanding. Which is just as well because Obsidian is a social place. Lots of Leanderthals having a fine time in couples and groups. This is not a loner's loser bar. You know - the dark rooms with misfits drinking their sixth beer while watching TV. This is a good folks good times full-of-sunlight place. So you definitely want to come with good folks. * * * Good food, good bottles, good people. And if you are feeling chipper, You can even have a homemade beer to celebrate.

I pulled up thinking I was just grabbing a little happy hour snack, and suddenly I'm knee-deep in plates like I'm at an all-you-can-eat taste-test sponsored by destiny. Happy hour food? We ordered everything. Literally. If it was on the happy hour menu, we said "yes." If there was a button that said "Are you sure?" we hit "confirm" without reading the terms and conditions. No regrets. Happy hour drinks? Dangerous. Delicious. Deceptively smooth. One more and I would've started singing along to the music videos like I was auditioning for a comeback tour nobody asked for. And speaking of music-- The vibe was straight fire. They were blasting 80s and 90s hits with the actual music videos playing, and I swear for a second I forgot where I was. I thought I was in a time machine, or at least in some kind of retro-themed VIP lounge where everyone has good taste. The nostalgia was hitting harder than the cocktails. The decor? Chef's kiss. It's giving "classy with personality," like the place knows it looks good but doesn't need to brag about it. Service? Perfect. Impeccable. Smooth like they rehearsed it. Savannah and Silvana were fantastic -- professional, friendly, zero stress, and somehow always there with exactly what we needed without hovering like a drone. Ten out of ten humans. The wild part? They have a huge menu. Like, "bring reading glasses" huge. But I didn't even make it past happy hour because that table turned into a small culinary battlefield and I was happily losing. I'm almost embarrassed it took me this long to discover this spot. This place is a hidden gem, and I'm already planning my return like it's a sequel
