Atmosphere is casual and nice. The place is clean and staff friendly. If you are going to drinks and bar food then this is a great spot.

I don't see the appeal of this place but it was busy. 1 bathroom, that smelled like pee and had no paper towels. The hurricane that I order that was off of there board on drinks that they made was not a good drink. The garlic bread we ordered was overdone and almost fully burnt on the bottom. We ordered pizza also. One side was barely done while the other side was burnt. They put a lot of Italian season on top the pizza after it was cooked. Overall experience was great. The location has a trendy/modern feel. Although small inside it does have a great patio area. The service was great (she was kind, courteous, and helpful)! Food: We had a calzone and a Greek salad. The Greek salad was DELICIOUS (the sauce always makes a Greek salad... Obviously). I'm not a fan of calzones, so, I'm not the best "judge" for the job (my wife loves them--her pick. We shared both entrees). This is usually my go to place to sit with my dog and have beers and decompress but tonight it was awful. Kids from toddlers to teens running amok with minimal supervision, super loud (outside) couldnt even relax for 2 minutes without some kid bugging me to pet my dog (that is not grerat around kids, but its a fucking bar people). there was a tween running laps around the building every 2 minutes, toddlers walking around semi supervised by a adult with a drink in their hand letting them stumble up on my dog unannounced. Seek and ye shall find. This tiny hidden spot in old Leander checks off lots of my boxes - but doesn't impress. First off. This is a nice place dont get me wrong. I have been 3 times now just to see maybe it was an OFF day. Good menu , sports , decent tunes. So - those are pretty solid. Let me start with the menu. Pub grub for the most part with $10 pizzas unlimited toppings. So- naturally this is what i ordered each time. Each time it comes out it looks amazing and I'm excited. Like a Pointer Sister ( I 'm so excited ) . But the pizza never tastes cooked. The dough is mushy. Not a big deal. NExt time around I tell them to leave it in a bit longer for me. Comes out -- same. Not a deal breaker. Just need to change what I am eating. My belly prob says same thing. Next lets move onto the staff. For the most part the lady running the joint is on point. Friendly- helpful and witty. The remainder of the staff is quite the opposite. I have noticed this during a lunch visit with us being one of 2 people in the place, and in the evenings like during the sports games and crowds. Just abrasive . Again- I'm not there to make friends. I'm there to have a cold beer ( maybe 3) watch baseball or the slew of people who still have to think if they need to be wearing a mask when they enter an establishment( smh). So - The beer. They have a pretty typical tap list with 1-2 silver and gold medal choices. I saw Aldelberts there last night.. sweet!. But behind the bar is a ghostbuster lunchbox treasure chest of cans and bottles. WARNING! don't try to figure out what's in there. Hard to see them all... and after learning how friendly the bar staff(see above ) is - I gave up asking and went with an IPA. The crowds are not bad and for the most part follow distancing rules.. but - nothing enforced. This scares me. While I know its MY choice to patron , I would still like to see ppl adhere to the 6ft. Outside- good seating - tv;s good parking and over all fantastic. Have visited twice now after moving to Leander. True, the beer selection is pretty good but $5 is a bit high for many of the cans or bottles in the coolers/refrigerators when you consider most are 12 ounces as opposed to a 14-16 ounce draft draw. Yes, they have draft beers to choose from but it's a relatively small number compared to many other places. And the food. Gotta work on that piece of the proverbial puzzle. Have had the calamari and phillysteak hero (sandwich)--these were just so-so and seemed very likely to be of a frozen/boxed origin. Perhaps with the limited options in town many customers' perspective is somewhat skewed. I was hoping for and expecting more in lieu of the price ($8-10). The customer service is what helps keep this place going. The staff behind the bar both times were very friendly, pleasant, and courteous. Kudos to them. I will likely not return and continue giving my business to a couple other locations in the Cedar Park area with much better food, larger draft selection, and great staff. read more

Went here twice in one week and really wanted to give this place a try and support a restaurant in my hometown. 1st time just ordered a pizza with half onions and paid like $8 and the pizza was not to bad and I went back again, did a phone order for the same pizza. Go to the bar to pay and the girl says $10:82 and I ask her did the price go up and her reply was nope always been this price! I explain to her that I paid $3 dollars less a few days ago and she just gave me a dumb look and no reply! I left and went home and my 6-year-old daughter goes dad what is this in my pizza and it was all kinds of meat and stuff! Half the pie went in the garbage because they stuck meats in there! Wow I'm pretty upset. First game of the season and I was so excited to support my favorite local business. We got here before opening so we were the first to arrive. Sat down at the bar and asked to move because a regular sits there. Ok fine. Told the game was on a certain TV. Once people started arriving the manager said she didn't have enough boxes to play the game I wanted all of a sudden. We had ubered to the bar and now are forced to leave. I've been coming here for a couple of years. I like to shop at My Steel Magnolias, Patchouli Joes and then drop in for some good food, a few drinks and the staff has always been accommodating. My son tried to go there Saturday night, 6/20 and was SHOCKED by the "Trump Rally" going on there. They were actually showing the Trump Rally on TV. I couldn't believe it. I really did believe that Leander Beer Market was a place where you could go and be accepted no matter what. Where you could gather and not have to have the aggressiveness of a group overshadow, what I thought was a wonderful, inclusive, non biased local gathering spot for everyone, free of judgement. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and go with 4 stars since they literally just opened today, and since I can't do 3.5 stars. They've got a decent on-tap beer selection and a much wider bottle selection. Not a real large place, but it has a nice patio with a pool table. They have a decent menu that includes pizza, sandwiches and appetizers. The servers could definitely use more practice...the two draughts I had were a lot foamier than they should have been, and they weren't very familiar with their beer selection yet. The lighting struck me as a bit bright for a bar/pub type setting. On the other hand, prices were very reasonable. All-in-all, it's a promising start. You come here for their extensive selection of beer, and if after a couple you get the munchies, they offer a limited, but great food menu, reminiscent of the former Luigi's Restaurant (I really miss Luigi's). I have never been disappointed in the food here until tonight. It was terrible. The meatball casserole was very odd. 4 in an order and only 1/4 was normal consistency and color. Not sure what meat/poultry the others were made from. Could only manage to eat one. The chicken Caesar was bland and tasteless. The chicken was little burned bits of what appeared to be cut off of larger pieces. The Calzone and Stromboli were edible but not as good as we usually get from there. Perhaps a new cook? We will give them another chance but if it sucks again will have to go elsewhere :( read more

Having just moved to Leander from San Diego, I was really hoping to find a cool beer spot to hang out, and I think I found it. I've been there three or four times and have had EXCELLENT service each time, always by a different person behind the bar, aside from Justin. He has been there every time and has been great. Whoever does the hiring is in the right position. The selection of beers is far greater than what I'd expected when moving here and the ambiance is great.
