We went to this restaurant last night for dinner. It's a new restaurant in Georgetown. It's kind of hard to find because the signage is not up-but they do have a banner. It's important to know that it's directly next to the valet parking. First thing I saw was their lovely patio with outside seats. Upon entering the restaurant, the decor was very well designed. They have some beautiful oil, paintings and prints on the walls in addition to crystal chandelier pieces. This is a very classy restaurant. I'm very excited to have a place where I feel comfortable wearing my nice clothes! We were seated promptly by Patty. They have tables and booths. We were then served Pellegrino and given lovely menus that have leather covers. They have a separate wine menu, which is vast. One can actually buy a bottle of wine for over $3000! One can also buy a bottle of wine for $60. So there's something for everyone. They have white wine, they have Napa wine, and they have Italian wine, just to name a few. On their food menu, they have steak and chicken and shrimp and duck and more. They have some beautiful sides like carrots with goat cheese and feta. I'm gonna get those next time! Our server was Ashley and she was amazing. I am not an easy customer to serve because of my food restrictions, however, Ashley made it easy and fun. She served my husband some bread before the meal and she says to me "don't you eat any of this!" :) it was in a very kind and playful manner because I can't have gluten. She then suggested for me the brussels sprouts appetizer which she had altered for me. The brussels sprouts were fantastic. She then helped me select the salmon plate and she spoke with the chef and switched the sauce for me. It was amazing! It was a beautiful fresh piece of salmon on top of lovely vegetables, including snow peas; I happen to love, snow peas! To add one more touch of class to my dinner, the plates look like China. I love this place! Along with my dinner, I had a beautiful glass of Italian wine. My husband had a martini and he also had the salmon. Both of our dinners together plus the wine and the martini and the hors d'oeuvre and the Pellegrino was $130. Not bad for a very fine dining experience. As I looked around the room, I saw people on dates and I saw married couples on evenings out, and one thing they all had in common is everyone looked happy and content, as we were too. This is not a place for jeans and T-shirts Definitely wear nicer clothes. I saw some people wearing their nicest evening clothes, I was wearing some nice pants and a beautiful beaded blouse. My husband wore suit pants and a dress shirt. I look forward to coming back here. I highly suggest you visit

What a treat it was to dine at Sovian Restaurant last night! From the moment we walked in, I was impressed. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous, and I truly appreciated the upscale atmosphere--including the dress code! From the exposed brick walls and stunning chandeliers to the beautiful presentation of every dish, no detail was overlooked. We started with the beef tartare and oysters, and both were incredible. The oysters were topped with fennel, citrus, Fresno peppers, and a champagne mignonette that created the perfect balance of bright, fresh flavors. The beef tartare was packed with flavor, and the quail egg on top was the perfect finishing touch. They also surprised us with a few complimentary bites, along with fresh-from-the-oven bread that was absolutely outstanding! For our entrées, my husband ordered the Colorado lamb chops and kept saying, "WOW!" after every bite. It was truly a standout dish. I chose the salmon, and oh my goodness--it was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. We shared the Romanesco cauliflower as a side, and it was amazing. That's definitely a dish we'll be ordering again! By the time dessert arrived, I was already full, but I couldn't resist a few bites of the crustless cheesecake. It was rich, creamy, and so good. And can we talk about the wine list? One of the most impressive wine selections I've seen in Georgetown! If you're looking for the perfect date night spot, make plans to visit Sovian. Exceptional food, beautiful ambiance, outstanding service, and thoughtful attention to detail made for a memorable evening. It definitely did not disappoint, and I can't wait to go back!

Ally was great! Can't wait to go back.

I'm pretty sure we ordered everything on the menu! It was exquisite! Ally took service to another level. We can't wait to go back.

I visited on a Wednesday evening about an hour before closing and sat at the bar. The staff behind the bar were both super attentive and very friendly. The ambiance of the restaurant was perfect for sitting alone to enjoy a small dinner and drinks. There were many food items on the menu that I want to try so I will definitely be going back.

Terrific new place in the Rivery Summit, Georgetown, TX is Sovian Steakhouse Restaurant & Cocktail Lounge. It has a chill, soulful atmospheric vibe, so romantic! Still in its Soft Opening phase, the service was still excellent for the birthday dinner for my wife. We had puff pastry cream cups, pomme frites, and deviled eggs for appetizers. My wife had a Chardonnay whilst I had sparkling water. She had the prime filet mignon, well done, whilst I had the Wagyu New York Strip sirloin, medium rare - perfect pink! For accompaniments, we had the brioche breads and sauteed mushrooms with oysters. We concluded with a chocolate mousse cake for my wife. Our thanks to Ashley, Vera, Gabriella, Patty, & Joseph for their kind, warm, welcoming attention & great service.

Wedge salad had the perfect amount of smoke flavor: 8oz filet was cooked perfectly and the cauliflower and carrots were perfect.

My husband and I are already interested after one visit in checking out pricing for possibly renting out the space for an event of our own. The bathrooms are gender neutral BUT when you go in there the different stall doors have only one label, guys or gals, on the door which is very confusing to people entering the bathroom or waiting for stalls and thinking maybe the guys labeled stall only has a urinal or something but they're all the same toilet. It has a very classy, purposefully dated look but was extremely cleaned and well maintained. They also have free guest Wi-Fi. The cocktails are a little pricey for the area, but the venue space and the quality of the drinks were well worth the price. They actually have a quite expansive menu of drink options as well. Definitely needs more seating options for the drink window area if they plan on having more open hours days for people to randomly come in and enjoy a specially crafted drink. I can't wait to see what this place turns into!

Just a perfectly crafted cocktail that respects tradition but adds a little dark, sultry wink. It lingers just long enough to make you lean in for another sip. 10/10. Grumpy never tasted so good -- and I wouldn't mind getting into trouble with it again. The bar itself? Classy without being stuffy. The kind of place where you can show up dressed up or dressed down and still feel like you belong. Dim lighting, great vibe, zero pretension. I'll absolutely be back, service was stellar. The waitstaff were all very kind and attentive. The food felt very overpriced for what we received. The brunch fruit bowl I received consisted of four thin slices of strawberry (not even one strawberry), two pineapple chunks and no more than 15 blueberries. The ham and eggs Benedict was borderline flavorless and the egg white was cold and runny. I love a good poached egg, but it was more liquid than poached. The tequila sunrise was musky and the flavor of the tequila overwhelmed the rest of the drink. I really wanted to like this place! However, I spent $35 on a pretty pitiful brunch meal. The restaurant seating area and decor were all nice. The bathroom had no music and is small and cramped (you can't get paper towels without either blocking the door or a stall). The people were kind and attentive enough that I probably would try it again? Maybe Sunday brunch or a different meal entirely.

The food was genuinely excellent, and the service was warm and attentive throughout. The bed was also a standout -- more comfortable than what I've experienced at most four-star hotels. I also loved the in-room Nespresso machine, which was a great touch. The only drawbacks are the location and setting. It's not ideal if you want to be close to a more metropolitan, walkable area, and being right on the creek means there can be quite a few bugs, especially in the evening. Retro looking furniture at the entry with finger dialed phones...my nieces and nephews would likely not have any idea what these little machines called telephones were. The bar was a mix of old - building built in the 1960s....new - modern mirrors and bar. There was signage at the front of the bar that stated to seat yourself and place your order from the bar (different set up...for sure). We ordered the hummus plate minus pita bread plus more cucumbers. Alan, our server was very accommodating to make that switch. We had herbal hot tea (chamomile and pomegranate berry).
