The Mexican martini shaker with the balance of my drink

Jack Allen's rocks Consistently outstanding food, fresh farm to table type atmosphere Bartenders provide outstanding service and make fantastic, cocktails, well balanced, and packing a punch The Texas redfish was an outstanding dish. A friend recommended it highly to me last time I was in, and I made a note to try it so glad I did. If you have not had this delicacy, you need to try it you will be thankful that you did. It is full of flavor. It is just simply scrumptiously delicious! Jam packed bar - NBA playoff game on TV All made for a great late afternoon meal

Spectacular service. Excellent birthday meal - we will be back! Kiddo's 14th birthday and he wanted a good burger and guacamole. Jack Allen's we said! The Fat Jack is always amazing! The crispy chicken sandwich was so flavorful, the crispy redfish was huge and delicious and their kids tenders were thoughtful and not just junk food. Their sweet potato fries and regular fries were excellent. The kids had sparkling blueberry lemonade mocktails and loved them. Mama added their habanero sauce to her fish and LOVED it. The guacamole is always excellent and (score) on Mondays they have happy hour all evening so we got it 1/2 price. They brought him a birthday dessert (he chose the blondie) and the family loved it. My husband got a cantarito drink and loved it. We will be back! Special thanks to Kayla and our amazing server Catalina! Thanks for making us feel so welcome on the heated patio. Please like my review and photos if you find them helpful!

Jack Allen's is a restaurant you always get delicious food! There are always specials and if you don't see anything on the menu that fancies your cravings, there is always soup of the day. The service is usually exceptional, however there are times when it is a little slower but understand that is the exception. The restaurant always looks clean and organized. It breathes farm fresh.

I went with a large group And the staff was so kind and patient. We went on a Friday night so you can imagine how busy it was, but they made it feel like we were the most important. We ordered appetizers, drinks, and entrees. The jalapeño cornbread was delicious and a great shareable! The chips and guacamole are also a good option, especially for a large group. The mocktails were pretty good as well. For dinner I had the blacken shrimp enchiladas and it did not disappoint. It is so filling and if you want you could take a good portion home. I had a really great experience and would definitely return. Get there early because it a local favorite

Took the family to Jack Allens Kitchen in Hutto, one of my favorite places to dine. Very nice restaurant with convenient parking in the garage next door. It is located in Hutto just off of Highway 79 by the silo. We arrived at 5:30 for an early dinner and although the restaurant was not busy, we had to wait for a table. We were then seated in a booth and greeted by our waiter, who provided menus and took our drink orders. I ordered my favorite, which is the sweet chili shrimp asian noodle salad. It includes sautéed shrimp, spinach, cold, Asian noodles, shaved, red, onions, cherry tomatoes, avocado, toasted almonds, with a creamy sweet chili dressing. It is delicious. Highly recommend it if you're in the mood for a nice seafood salad. Service was not up to standard this visit. My grandson asked for a water to go with his Coke and buttermilk dressing for his burger, but we had to request them twice before the waiter brought them. Jack Allen's kitchen is the best restaurant in the Round Rock/Hutto area. If you haven't tried it, you're missing out on a fine dining experience.

Jack Allen's is always great. They have unique recipes and they have always been delicious each time I have visited. The service is always great. This is a great pick for a date night or family dinner. They do have a kids menu. I like the twisted cobb salad. You really can't go wrong with this place. You might want to make a reservation because they do get busy in the evenings.

I have been a fan of Jack. Allen's restaurants since the beginning. I've truly never had better, more consistent service anywhere else I have ever gone. These folks really know how to do service exceptionally well. For our anniversary, the staff even signed a card for us and had a gift waiting as well! Food is also so very delicious. Consistently. I've tried so many different things on the menu. Their pimento cheese is hands-down my favorite and really the only that I eat. Their chicken fried chicken with that delicious gravy is definitely worth a go. My longtime favorite has always been there chorizo stuffed medallions. Holy moly. I love the farm to table concept and how it supports communities near ours. I always feel good about being a patron at this restaurant and it's easy to do with such great service and amazing food.

You just can't go wrong coming here. We came in here from work, my entire department and enjoyed great food, laughs, and delicious deserts. The service is always great! And the oracle itself is inviting and great for intimate gatherings or group ones like ours. Some of the people never had been to this location as they came from Dallas. They all want to come back next time. I'm glad we have locations close by and we're able to enjoy some good outtings. For happy hours there's always a special and their drinks are great!

I've lived in the Austin metro area for many years but had yet to try Jack Allen's Kitchen. I was surprised by how fresh and affordable everything was. The ambiance felt very warm and inviting. Our server (can't remember his name unfortunately) was very helpful in recommending items on the menu. Things we had: Jalapeño Crab dip: So good!! We shared one order between 3 people and wish we had more, so something to consider if you're a larger party. Pimiento Cheese: it was our first time so our waiter brought us a sample of this and I really liked it! It was creamy and flavorful. 13 spiced chicken pasta: overall, this dish was okay. The sauce was absolutely delicious and the chicken was grilled to perfection. However, their noodles (red pepper and spinach linguine) kind of had an odd taste. I will say it got better as I ate more (maybe my taste buds were adjusting?) but I would likely not get this again unless they offered regular linguine as a substitute. Fried pork chop: my husband really enjoyed this meal. I stole a few of his sweet potato fries and those might have been the best sweet potato fries I've ever had! We also tried their frozen margarita (as apart of their all day happy hour on Mondays) - they were really good and strong! I would definitely come back and likely try some other items I had my eye on.

Is it possible to post too many reviews of the same place? Nah. We love bringing out of town guests to our favorite local spot. Always enjoy our favorites and sampling a little bit of everyone's dishes to see what else we need to add to the rotation. Service is always impeccable, clean, lively environment, fabulous food with Texas flare!

On our way to South Padre, decided to stop in Round Rock to visit Jack Allens Kitchen for lunch. I ordered the Killer Cheeseburger which was a half pound monster of meat and cheese which was delicious. The side of sweet potatoes was also generous and very good. Service was outstanding and the interior was warm and inviting. Would definitely stop by again if I was in the area!

I said this was my first time here, and that I was excited to try them. She was super polite, very friendly. She sat me at a booth. She walked away for a quick minute and came back with a water glass and a small pitcher of ice cold water. My server came around. And gave me my menu and said you gotta try the whiskey Cake. Cake? Did someone say cake? Yes please. With cake on my mind. I thought I better balance this out. So I played it safe and got the grilled chicken salad. Also she said everything is house made from scratch, such as the cocktails, juice, salad dressing and so on. I did order a juice from the bar. It was the Jessica Wabbit with mint, carrot, lime, ginger, and some other flavors. The drink was handed to me first. Lovely flavors, could taste the fresh mint, fresh ginger. A little sweetness with the pineapple. Brilliant mix of flavors. The salad was very large. Dressing was fresh, rich with basil and garlic. Chunks of bacon and wedges of hard boiled eggs, avocado chunks, blue cheese scattered around, and the grilled chicken, warm juicy and beautifully chard. Love that charred flavor. The salad dressing was really delectable. Wonderful salad. Next came the whiskey cake. This cake should be its own food group. The cake itself has a beautiful flavor, it's a little dense, in a good way. The sauce is outstanding, it's toffee and sweet. Heavenly really. Pecans on top are spiced. I could only eat half of the cake. I'll snack on that later tonight. The food was outstanding. I would love to come back and try other food items. Service was perfection. I had so many wonderful conversations with everyone I came in contact with. I was wished well by everyone I passed by. Even in the bathroom, the host was coming out and she asked how my visit was. I mean, just the most genuine southern hospitality. Top notch service! Parking lot was packed. And they do have a pretty large lot all around the building. So you know this has to be The Place for an afternoon lunch or family dinner.

The whiskey cake is probably this restaurant's saving grace as the cake is decadent moist, and the combination of the pecans with the caramel and the whipped cream all just make it so delicious. It was definitely worth the wait to have it at the end and in retrospect, it probably would have done well to have first since the food that we ordered was a little more on the lackluster side. I found it hard to be impressed by the prime rib and Gouda stack as they were no defining flavors for this rather expensive sandwich and the mac and cheese was also not very memorable. When it comes to the service provided at the restaurant, there were many times where it felt as though our table had been forgotten to be waited upon, despite there not being many other people at the restaurant. Overall, I think my experience at Whiskey Cake was OK and while I may not return for the food necessarily, I would for the cake.

For food, the chicharrón with fried yuca and tostones was perfection. The pork was fried to a crisp golden shell without being greasy, and seasoned just right--not too salty, but enough to make every bite crave-worthy. I am so torn on this place. My friends and I were looking for a cute spot for a moms night out…read more(just 3 of us). We decided to make a reservation at Odds Bar and give it a try. Arrived right on time and the parking lot was PACKED, though the restaurant appeared nearly empty except for a loud networking event going on in a devoted side room open to the main area. No one at the desk to greet us, just a sign to seat ourselves, so we did. Guess reservations don't really matter? It was quite a while before anyone approached us, but when a server finally came he was very nice and helpful. We ordered drinks and entrees. It took an ABSURD amount of time before the drinks came out...maybe because of the event? Not sure. The bar and restaurant seemed nearly empty otherwise and the bartender didn't look busy or rushed at all. Luckily we had intended to make a night of it, so we were able to wait. It was hard to hear each other talk, though, due to the networking event. When the drinks finally came, mine was AMAZING. Like, one of the best drinks I've had in Austin, and maybe one of the best of my life? Weeks later I'm still thinking about it. I got the Going Bananas and it was simple perfection. The food also took a while to come out, but at least we had drinks to tide us over. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and was disappointed. The toppings were spare and didn't offer much to elevate the dish, and the chicken itself, while tasty, was very dry in parts, to the extent where I was dipping it in ketchup to get it to go down easy. The bun and fries were good. Our server seemed to have evaporated into thin air after delivering food, so we had no water refills and had to vye for attention to pay the check. Eventually the bartender came and helped us pay, and seemed terse and annoyed when we asked to split our check. (Three middle-aged women...seems more likely a split than combined?) All in all, we were there about 3 hours total, mostly because service took so long. Such a bizarre experience. I would NOT come here if you are on any kind of timeline. The only way I'll come back is to sit at the bar and have drinks only.

Wow, this place blind-sided me. An amazing experience in all facets. First, the restaurant is…read morebeautiful inside, so upscale and absolutely clean. Our server was Chase, who was very knowledgeable about the menu and took ownership of the whole experience. You can tell he enjoys being there. I got the off-menu All Day English Breakfast, which - shut the front door - was the best I've had in the Austin area. No puddings, and regular bacon instead of rashers, but otherwise super traditional and fantastic. The bangers stood out - YUM. We also got some candied bacon for fun which made the whole meal even more excessive, haha. It was superb, and a generous portion that the two of us easily shared. I'm hooked. Reasonable prices, great food, beautiful interior, fantastic service, easy parking. What a fun surprise to start 2026.

If you're looking for a clean, pure straight up brewery with killer pizza, you have to come to…read morePinthouse. Any beer connoisseur will understand the technique the demands and the workmanship that goes into creating draft beer and what I really love is I fell in love with the Hill country kolsch, it's a blend of a light beer so I prefer light beers like ultra or Miller so to me it taste like a more full flavored Miller light and what I really appreciate is that it's not like a heavy IPA so it allows me to free up space in my stomach so I can go for the killer pizza. Hands-down, one of the best cheese, breads, high-quality cheese crispy, crunchy cheese bread with what I really love are those crispy crunchy edges that are on the crust it's addictive. And then you're able to dip each cheese bread into that jalapeño ranch or that creamy queso. I'm telling you this right now their house made jalapeño ranch is like crack. They should bottle it and sell it if they decided to bottle it I would buy a bottle should I say I think it's better than Wingstop? Go try the pizzas as you can see. I ordered the works pizza we can see all the beautiful cuts of meats. All fresh meats, all beautifully individually, sliced fresh crunchy crust with melted cheese. Just a great bite. If you're a carnivore this is your pizza. I wanted to jazz things up and go for the honey bear pizza and I requested that they add white sauce as the base and then drizzle on top of the olive oil. I'm happy they made that pizza for me because you can taste the white sauce mixed with the olive oil and the nice salty shavings of prosciutto.

Lunch at Pinthouse Pizza with my granddaughter was a win. Full stop…read more We started with salads: * Pinthouse Salad (baby spinach, red onion, candied pecans, cranberries, blue cheese, poppyseed dressing): Solid. The poppyseed dressing was just okay, but the salad itself was so good I'd absolutely order it again without hesitation. * Caesar Salad: My granddaughter liked it overall, but said there was way too much shaved Parmesan. Not a deal-breaker, just a heavy hand. Now, the pizza I ordered a 10" personal pizza with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, red onions, and arugula. The pizza itself? Really good. The arugula, though... listen. It was everywhere. Overkill. I ended up taking most of it off and tossing it onto my spinach salad -- problem solved, no waste, still delicious. My granddaughter went classic with a cheese pizza, and she loved it. Said it's one of her favorites, and she's been here before -- which says a lot coming from a young person who does not hand out compliments lightly. What really sealed it for me: * The servers were amazing -- friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind * The place was very clean * The vibe was relaxed and welcoming, perfect for an easy lunch and good conversation Overall? Great food, great service, great time with my granddaughter -- and that's the kind of lunch that sticks with you. I'd definitely go back. And yes, I'd order that spinach salad again... arugula optional.

An auspicious start to date night...we were supposed to have dinner at a restaurant and learned…read morethat it had closed. Plan B was to find another nearby restaurant...and so we did. Going through the Daniel Fast, we have a new appreciation for vegetarians and in even more so for vegans. Many places we have gone to during the Daniel fast has not been vegan friendly. Cracker Barrell Old Country Store did not have many vegan options. Understand that this restaurant is known for its down home cooking loaded with gravies, butter and bread. My hubby had a bake potato with green onion. I had grits. Not the most exciting dinner, but it hit the spot at the time. Cracker Barrel had everything from Valentines Day and Easter (Yes Easter!) to Christmas. If you wanted it, they had it. My hubby and I reminisced regarding the type of candy we ate as a child. Cracker Barrel had a wide variety of candy, clothing, cook wear and outerwear. They also now have their own rewards program. We noticed today that Cracker Barrel has its on branded goods...pretty cool. Their country store is always delightful. I couldn't resist this cute little Christmas stuffed animal (70% off...yep my shopping love language).

Very disgusting & unsanitary. This place was extremely busy, but that's expected on a Sunday afternoon. We waited approximately 30 minutes before being seated & another 20 minutes for food. The fried chicken was SO hard, almost inedible. The fried apples were gritty & the hash brown casserole wasn't seasoned at all. I think the only thing I enjoyed most was the biscuits that were brought out before the meal.
