Jack Allen's is a restaurant you always get delicious food! There are always specials and if you don't see anything on the menu that fancies your cravings, there is always soup of the day. The service is usually exceptional, however there are times when it is a little slower but understand that is the exception. The restaurant always looks clean and organized. It breathes farm fresh.

Took the family to Jack Allens Kitchen in Hutto, one of my favorite places to dine. Very nice restaurant with convenient parking in the garage next door. It is located in Hutto just off of Highway 79 by the silo. We arrived at 5:30 for an early dinner and although the restaurant was not busy, we had to wait for a table. We were then seated in a booth and greeted by our waiter, who provided menus and took our drink orders. I ordered my favorite, which is the sweet chili shrimp asian noodle salad. It includes sautéed shrimp, spinach, cold, Asian noodles, shaved, red, onions, cherry tomatoes, avocado, toasted almonds, with a creamy sweet chili dressing. It is delicious. Highly recommend it if you're in the mood for a nice seafood salad. Service was not up to standard this visit. My grandson asked for a water to go with his Coke and buttermilk dressing for his burger, but we had to request them twice before the waiter brought them. Jack Allen's kitchen is the best restaurant in the Round Rock/Hutto area. If you haven't tried it, you're missing out on a fine dining experience.

I went with a large group And the staff was so kind and patient. We went on a Friday night so you can imagine how busy it was, but they made it feel like we were the most important. We ordered appetizers, drinks, and entrees. The jalapeño cornbread was delicious and a great shareable! The chips and guacamole are also a good option, especially for a large group. The mocktails were pretty good as well. For dinner I had the blacken shrimp enchiladas and it did not disappoint. It is so filling and if you want you could take a good portion home. I had a really great experience and would definitely return. Get there early because it a local favorite

Jack Allen's is always great. They have unique recipes and they have always been delicious each time I have visited. The service is always great. This is a great pick for a date night or family dinner. They do have a kids menu. I like the twisted cobb salad. You really can't go wrong with this place. You might want to make a reservation because they do get busy in the evenings.

You just can't go wrong coming here. We came in here from work, my entire department and enjoyed great food, laughs, and delicious deserts. The service is always great! And the oracle itself is inviting and great for intimate gatherings or group ones like ours. Some of the people never had been to this location as they came from Dallas. They all want to come back next time. I'm glad we have locations close by and we're able to enjoy some good outtings. For happy hours there's always a special and their drinks are great!

I've lived in the Austin metro area for many years but had yet to try Jack Allen's Kitchen. I was surprised by how fresh and affordable everything was. The ambiance felt very warm and inviting. Our server (can't remember his name unfortunately) was very helpful in recommending items on the menu. Things we had: Jalapeño Crab dip: So good!! We shared one order between 3 people and wish we had more, so something to consider if you're a larger party. Pimiento Cheese: it was our first time so our waiter brought us a sample of this and I really liked it! It was creamy and flavorful. 13 spiced chicken pasta: overall, this dish was okay. The sauce was absolutely delicious and the chicken was grilled to perfection. However, their noodles (red pepper and spinach linguine) kind of had an odd taste. I will say it got better as I ate more (maybe my taste buds were adjusting?) but I would likely not get this again unless they offered regular linguine as a substitute. Fried pork chop: my husband really enjoyed this meal. I stole a few of his sweet potato fries and those might have been the best sweet potato fries I've ever had! We also tried their frozen margarita (as apart of their all day happy hour on Mondays) - they were really good and strong! I would definitely come back and likely try some other items I had my eye on.

Is it possible to post too many reviews of the same place? Nah. We love bringing out of town guests to our favorite local spot. Always enjoy our favorites and sampling a little bit of everyone's dishes to see what else we need to add to the rotation. Service is always impeccable, clean, lively environment, fabulous food with Texas flare!

On our way to South Padre, decided to stop in Round Rock to visit Jack Allens Kitchen for lunch. I ordered the Killer Cheeseburger which was a half pound monster of meat and cheese which was delicious. The side of sweet potatoes was also generous and very good. Service was outstanding and the interior was warm and inviting. Would definitely stop by again if I was in the area!

Went for my birthday, but have returned a few times since then. The spinach ravioli is my go to, but their hamburgers and chicken sandwhich are also good options. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming and they give you free dessert on your birthday. The dessert did not disappoint! The bread was probably the best part of the meal, I would go back just for the bread. Overall great restaurant and usually they are able to get you seated fast, food also comes out quickly!

Nice welcoming front desk staff, friendly wait staff and some nice food . Ambiance is good. The menu has a variety of dishes for everyone's taste. There's this on-the-house crackers and cheese while we wait to browse thru, which is really nice . Except for the wait times, everything is nice ! (not too bad ~ 20-30 mins , but we have had to go someplace else at 2 diff occasions . Same for the cedar park location )

Jack Allen's is one of my favorite places to dine. I have been to 3 different ones here in the greater Austin area and all are wonderful. The service is really good. Sometimes you may need to wait, however the time they tell you is pretty accurate. Today was really good. No waiting and our server was excellent. The interior is inviting and clean. I always look over the menu and order a few different items. If I can't decide I will get the soup and salad...it never disappoints. Today, I ordered the Steak and Eggs. Another excellent meal. There was plenty of flank steak spiced just right and covered with cheese. The Enchilada was easy to cut and the eggs were done as I asked. Usually, I never order dessert, but today it sounded good. I had a Berry Cobbler with ice cream. The Cobbler was still hot when it arrived and was done with perfection. It was quite large and I shared it with my dinner mate. So if I said it before, alI'll say it again...visit Jack Allen's in Round Rock, Cedar Park or North Austin and enjoy a very good meal!

We stopped in here just for drinks as that was really our main thing over this relaxing weekend. We let our server, Helen, know up front that was all we were doing. She was very upbeat and personable. Super helpful and did talk us into a dessert. We where in a booth and this was the downside. The side of the booth i was in was rocking and you could feel a bar or something similar when you sat down. I went to move to the other side, the whole bench came off, almost caught my legs. Helen tried to put it back together. It was bad, the other side was not broken but uncomfortable as well causing me pain sitting there. But the drinks were good and the dessert was fantastic. Helen was great and we may be back for the food but pperhaps at a table this time.

I order the yard bird. it was an oven baked chicken with veggies. good, but not worth $22. I could've made it at home. everyone else at the table basically ordered pancakes with eggs or French toast because the menu was literally that limited, there was no "oo I want to try that!" moment. The service was great as we were a big party. The staff kept coming to our table to apologize on the long wait times; which was confusing because there was barely anyone in the restaurant... but the parking lot was full? where were all of those people? I don't know. the experience wasn't bad but, it didn't hold up to the standard of whiskey cake that I'm used to. especially for $66. the Katy location was so good, it even smelled like whiskey cake. and I remembered this restaurant brand having more culinary forward items like their blue cheese chips during happy hour. (which i lovedddd) If I'm ever out in Round Rock again, I may give it another try, but it won't be for brunch.

The Bichota cocktail was a standout--sweet, refreshing, and with just enough of a kick to keep you sipping slowly. The Old Fashioned was equally impressive: sweet yet balanced, served in a stylish glass with a unique holder that made the experience feel elevated. For food, the chicharrón with fried yuca and tostones was perfection. The pork was fried to a crisp golden shell without being greasy, and seasoned just right--not too salty, but enough to make every bite crave-worthy. The yuca and tostones were cut to the perfect thickness for even cooking, with a satisfying crunch outside and tender inside, especially when dipped into their garlicky sauce. The cheese sticks are an absolute must-have--crispy outside, oozy inside, and dangerously addictive. And the arepas? Exceptionally good--stuffed with beans, cheese, beef, and sweet plantains for that perfect salty-sweet balance. Every plate showed attention to texture, seasoning, and presentation. Price Considering the quality of ingredients, creative plating, and generous portions, the prices felt fair for a fusion dining experience. The cocktails were crafted with care and worth every penny. Appetizers could easily be shared, making it easy to get variety without breaking the bank. Environment We sat outside and it was amazing for groups, dates, and inside it is super cool. Overall: If you're looking for a place where Latin flavors meet creative execution, this spot is worth the visit. The bar and restaurant seemed nearly empty otherwise and the bartender didn't look busy or rushed at all. Luckily we had intended to make a night of it, so we were able to wait. It was hard to hear each other talk, though, due to the networking event. When the drinks finally came, mine was AMAZING. Like, one of the best drinks I've had in Austin, and maybe one of the best of my life? Weeks later I'm still thinking about it. I got the Going Bananas and it was simple perfection. The food also took a while to come out, but at least we had drinks to tide us over. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and was disappointed. The toppings were spare and didn't offer much to elevate the dish, and the chicken itself, while tasty, was very dry in parts, to the extent where I was dipping it in ketchup to get it to go down easy. The bun and fries were good. Our server seemed to have evaporated into thin air after delivering food, so we had no water refills and had to vye for attention to pay the check. Eventually the bartender came and helped us pay, and seemed terse and annoyed when we asked to split our check. (Three middle-aged women...seems more likely a split than combined?) All in all, we were there about 3 hours total, mostly because service took so long. Such a bizarre experience. I would NOT come here if you are on any kind of timeline. The only way I'll come back is to sit at the bar and have drinks only.

Wow, this place blind-sided me. An amazing experience in all facets. First, the restaurant is…read morebeautiful inside, so upscale and absolutely clean. Our server was Chase, who was very knowledgeable about the menu and took ownership of the whole experience. You can tell he enjoys being there. I got the off-menu All Day English Breakfast, which - shut the front door - was the best I've had in the Austin area. No puddings, and regular bacon instead of rashers, but otherwise super traditional and fantastic. The bangers stood out - YUM. We also got some candied bacon for fun which made the whole meal even more excessive, haha. It was superb, and a generous portion that the two of us easily shared. I'm hooked. Reasonable prices, great food, beautiful interior, fantastic service, easy parking. What a fun surprise to start 2026.

Any beer connoisseur will understand the technique the demands and the workmanship that goes into creating draft beer and what I really love is I fell in love with the Hill country kolsch, it's a blend of a light beer so I prefer light beers like ultra or Miller so to me it taste like a more full flavored Miller light and what I really appreciate is that it's not like a heavy IPA so it allows me to free up space in my stomach so I can go for the killer pizza. Hands-down, one of the best cheese, breads, high-quality cheese crispy, crunchy cheese bread with what I really love are those crispy crunchy edges that are on the crust it's addictive. And then you're able to dip each cheese bread into that jalapeño ranch or that creamy queso. I'm telling you this right now their house made jalapeño ranch is like crack. They should bottle it and sell it if they decided to bottle it I would buy a bottle should I say I think it's better than Wingstop? Go try the pizzas as you can see. I ordered the works pizza we can see all the beautiful cuts of meats. All fresh meats, all beautifully individually, sliced fresh crunchy crust with melted cheese. Just a great bite. If you're a carnivore this is your pizza. I wanted to jazz things up and go for the honey bear pizza and I requested that they add white sauce as the base and then drizzle on top of the olive oil. I'm happy they made that pizza for me because you can taste the white sauce mixed with the olive oil and the nice salty shavings of prosciutto.

An auspicious start to date night...we were supposed to have dinner at a restaurant and learned…read morethat it had closed. Plan B was to find another nearby restaurant...and so we did. Going through the Daniel Fast, we have a new appreciation for vegetarians and in even more so for vegans. Many places we have gone to during the Daniel fast has not been vegan friendly. Cracker Barrell Old Country Store did not have many vegan options. Understand that this restaurant is known for its down home cooking loaded with gravies, butter and bread. My hubby had a bake potato with green onion. I had grits. Not the most exciting dinner, but it hit the spot at the time. Cracker Barrel had everything from Valentines Day and Easter (Yes Easter!) to Christmas. If you wanted it, they had it. My hubby and I reminisced regarding the type of candy we ate as a child. Cracker Barrel had a wide variety of candy, clothing, cook wear and outerwear. They also now have their own rewards program. We noticed today that Cracker Barrel has its on branded goods...pretty cool. Their country store is always delightful. I couldn't resist this cute little Christmas stuffed animal (70% off...yep my shopping love language).

Very disgusting & unsanitary. This place was extremely busy, but that's expected on a Sunday afternoon. We waited approximately 30 minutes before being seated & another 20 minutes for food. The fried chicken was SO hard, almost inedible. The fried apples were gritty & the hash brown casserole wasn't seasoned at all. I think the only thing I enjoyed most was the biscuits that were brought out before the meal.
