    Cuerno rojo and undercover cowboy
    Leah L.

After revisiting the other location during Barks for Beers, we decided to pop over here as well. Different beer selections here. More beer offerings at the other one. I had the undercover cowboy and he had the cuerno rojo which isn't on tap, it's poured from a can. We didn't mind that, but felt it was noteworthy for the review for anyone who may prefer taps. This location seems like it's a popular work spot, I think we were the only people who were t on a laptop.

I came here on a Thursday morning to try out their coffee. I had been to their Parmer location, but I've just made my way to their Leander location. When I arrived, there was no line, and the barista happily welcomed me in. I asked for a pour over recommendation, expressing that I didn't like sour-tasting coffees. The barista suggested I try their Mexico blend, which has a lower acidity than some other roasts. The pour over was ready in about 7-8 minutes, and I was called to the counter to pick up my mug and carafe. I appreciated that they did this, as I could pour out as much as I wanted and enjoy my time there. The coffee was smooth and well-balanced. Some acidity, which added a slightly sour taste, was present, but it wasn't too bad. Wifi was free and fast enough to get some work done. Ample parking was available. I prefer this Red Horn location over their other one!

Excellent place to get craft beer (I got Manufactured Idols, double IPA) and Bacon Wrapped Sausage) - all excellent!! Bit noisy - excellent family place!

Came here to work remote and grab a coffee and I really loved the vibe of this spot. The baristas here are so nice and friendly! I ordered a sugar free vanilla latte and the chorizo breakfast bowl. The latte was good but a little more bitter than I like. Still better than Starbucks though. The breakfast bowl was actually very good despite the funny presentation. I didn't love that it was served on a metal tray with paper underneath it because it was a little more difficult to eat without worrying about ripping the paper and getting that in my bite but as far as taste, it was very good. It came with a salsa verde and I asked if I could get some more salsa and they ended up giving me some of this orange salsa and a creamy green salsa and both were sooo good! Especially the orange one!! I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone who likes coffee or beer! Tons of seating here too which always nice :)

The birria tacos w/ the coffee milk stout in the background

We went here before going to a movie. There is plenty of parking at the brewery. The interior is massive with plenty of room. I had the Wonder Boy Hefeweizen. It was very smooth and refreshing. My boyfriend had the House United Coffee Milk Stout. It had a very complex flavor. It was one that grew on us the more we drank it. We had the chips and queso which were your typical chips and queso. We also had the birria tacos. The meat was very tender. My boyfriend thought the tacos and broth didn't have much flavor, but I was ok with the subtlety. The staff were very nice and answered all our questions about the beer. This casual, relaxed atmosphere is a great place to grab a beer and hang out with friends, or like us, get a quick bite before a show.

I went to Red Horn for a celebration of life and this was absolutely the best venue for such an emotional event. The staff was very helpful with helping me choose a flight of IPAs and I enjoyed nearly every pour. The pricing was adequate for the quality of the beer -- I found a delicious black IPA and went into the event room. I appreciated that I could bring in my own tumbler for water and the vibe was so laid back (which I was not used to in comparison to other breweries I have visited in Austin). I cannot wait to go back for coffee and food!

Red Horn is always a favorite! We love to come here for brunch on the weekends with our kids and just enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. The food and drinks are always on point. Our kids get "kid's temp hot chocolate", which they love and won't burn their mouths. Hot dogs, churros, and chicken quesadillas for the kids, Chillaquiles, breakfast tacos, and coffees/teas for the grown ups. The staff is always super friendly and helpful.

New Red Horn brewery location that we fell in love with ! We are regulars at the Parmer lane Red Horn and wanted to do a detour to this new location in Leander . Man we were surprised how good this one is! They have the same wonderful beer and coffee, but also amazing tacos and sides that the other location does not have ! The tacos were great and the beer was good as always . The Prosecco Rita was refreshing . They have WiFi internet and good live music on some days ! Will start going here regularly for the good food, service and ambiance .

Barely any eggs, and supposedly sausage with potatoes
    Eric F.

ordered a breakfast bowl with sausage, cheese, and potatoes for $10.50. When I received my order, I was disappointed to find that there were barely any eggs, and I couldn't find any sausage. I went back inside to inquire about it, and the server informed me that this is normal. Lately, I have noticed a decline in the quality of your food service, and I hope it improves soon, as this level of service is unacceptable for the price.

A nice casual brewery off the beaten path of 183. We stopped by on a weekend and grabbed a few beers. The atmosphere was airy, open and nice casual warehouse style brewery. The servers were all very friendly and helpful. We liked all of our beers (trail runner, strawberry something and a Mexican lager). My only knock is the nachos could have been a bit better. The toppings were delicious but the chips were soggy. Soggy chips obviously aren't desirable in the first place but they also make nachos very difficult. Even with that, I would recommend this brewery to anyone in the area.

In the grand tradition of industrial park breweries, this one is unassuming. Servers are very nice and helpful. Big space in back for rental parties indoors. The coffee milk stout was excellent! But there are plenty of other brew styles for those wanting something a bit lighter. Great tacos, but the chicken in the nachos seemed like it had been refrozen a few times before cooking. Sister brewery is just 11 mins away!

One stop shopping for primo eating and drinking good times…read more * * * Obsidian Brewery makes beer. I have no idea how the beer is. I may visit Obsidian Brewery time after time after time after time and never find out how their beer is. This is because a) They have an outstanding bar and b) They have an outstanding kitchen. For me, beer is a hardship beverage you drink when there is nothing else better available. When I go to a bar, I can sometimes be looking for mix-mastering. Usually I am looking for outstanding top of the line hard spirits. * * * When I walked into Obsidian, I looked at their bar. It was love at first sight. In front of me were twenty yards of three shelves of the most wonderful bottles I could possibly imagine. Half of them I had never heard of before. * * * I settled on a Buddha's Hand Gin. Buddha and Gin rarely appear in the same sentence Never mind the same label on a bottle. I ordered it straight up. I went immediately to Nirvana. Forget the meditation and the austerities. The Buddha's Hand Gin was as good as a trip to the Himalayas. Buddha's Hand is an obscure citrus fruit that grows multiple protuberances the way some horseradishes do. It is golden and looks like a hand. Ergo the name. The Buddha's Hand Gin is a citrus tinged gin with an edge more like orange zest than like orange juice. The additional botanicals make it strong, attention grabbing, fruity and yet combative. I was absolutely fascinated. Note that Buddha's Hand Gin is only one of the many items they have to explore there. I am totally ready to do more exploring. * * * The kitchen at Obsidian is also of distinction. The savvy local guide I came with adored his Thai Curry Wood Fired Rings. I went with a Cheesy Bread. This is open-faced grilled cheese on a thick slice of bread the size of a shoebox, with a wonderful homemade tomato sauce on about 1/3 of it. It is the best cheese pizza you have ever had. It is what cheese pizza is supposed to be if you don't use the standard canned ingredients that institutional providers sell to Domino's. I was as in love with my cheese bread as I was with my citrus gin. * * * The company was also outstanding. Which is just as well because Obsidian is a social place. Lots of Leanderthals having a fine time in couples and groups. This is not a loner's loser bar. You know - the dark rooms with misfits drinking their sixth beer while watching TV. This is a good folks good times full-of-sunlight place. So you definitely want to come with good folks. * * * Good food, good bottles, good people. And if you are feeling chipper, You can even have a homemade beer to celebrate.

The business has a music bingo on Friday nights (or every other) which can be over excessively load. I was with a group of 15+ people - fellow members of an International club visiting the location. The group decided to move out onto the patio because it was too load in the dining area to have a conversation. Shortly thereafter that, the host of the music bingo placed a load speaker out onto the patio and turned it up full blast. We tried to get him to turn it down, but he refused. Thus, our group disbanded leaving only 4 of us. It continued to be extremely load out on the patio and several people started to complain... so I took it onto my own to to turn the speaker down to a reasonable level - I received a applause from the other customers. Within moments, a staff member walked out onto the patio and turned the speaker up to a ear deafening level. I asked her to turn it down and her response was... "this is the way, it always is!" With an attitude like that I became upset - I gave her a piece of mind (a couple of word slipped out - nothing that she hasn't heard before in her life). Moments later, the manager came out and admonished me in a very disturbing manner, which again, was poorly handled. It will be suggesting to my fellow International members and my Meetup group, to look for alternative venues that will appreciate our business (there so many in Cedar Park). Apparently, Whitestone Brewery has more customers than they need. I didn't realize that I had not completed my review - this goes back to the beginning of the year. Note: the response from the Owner is completely inaccurate. Ryan wasn't even there the night it happen - only going on what his employees told him. I have witnesses (business owners that are very involved with the community) that observed the entire event and they were taken back by the whole disregard to customer service. Instead of being apologetic, he throws around statements that legitimizes his inadequacies. A real piece of work.
