We stopped in here for lunch. Had been here before for happy hour beers before the name change, but not for food. This time we were hungry. Mot a lot of people there, but it was mid-week at 1:00 pm. I ordered the Double B Burger and a beer and the wife ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. Service was quick and the food to a little bit of time, but when it came, the fries were fresh out of the fryer and the burger was hot and tasty. The brioche bun was perfect, and the burger was cooked perfectly. My wife loved her wrap, but indicated the sweet potato fries were a bit over cooked and greasy. My fries were perfect. From the moment we walked in, we were treated with excellent service. The interior is very nice serving a blend of upscale Texan , brewery and cozy. I ordered the pimento burger which was excellent. After driving past Hell or High Water for several years and saying "we really should try that place"... we did! Really glad we did! We had a good meal. Mel was our waiter, and he was awesome... attentive but not intrusive! We started with a top shelf margarita which was a little heavy on the salted rim, but a quick wipe with a napkin fixed that. The cocktail was very good. For food we tried the reuben sandwich (with sauteed spinach), the fried shrimp (with baby gold potatoes and sauteed asparagus), and the fish and chips. My first observation was the food came out so hot, we had to let it cool for a minute or too! Perfect, we like really hot fried stuff! The reuben was good, a bit of a twist on the traditional with provolone cheese and "home-made russian sauce." Tasty... The fried shrimp were also good, breading just right, the tartar sauce was OK (we make our own at home, hard to beat). The fish and chips were the highlight... fish (cod) lightly battered, fried golden crisp, atop a mound of fries. We don't eat fries often, so they gotta be good... these were. Delicious! I assume it was a waiter who asked if he could help me. At this point we left. There is an extremely small signage with hell or High Water sign. Wasn't feeling the vibe. First visit. I live nearby, hadn't ever tried them and had a craving for Fish and Chips. I was so hungry that I started eating and forgot to take a pic. Good fresh, hand breaded fish (Cod I think), with nice freshly cooked Chips (fries). I don't think they are homemade, but they were good. Nicely served with Malt Vinegar. We also had some breaded Mozzarella. Those tasted fresh home made. Good fast and friendly service. Ambience was nice and relaxed. As I'm not really a drinker, I won't comment on that. Nice place. Excellent place! We stopped here after doing the North Pole Flyer with our kids, needing dinner and a drink. The hostess greeted us immediately and quickly got us to a table. We ordered a pretzel and the nachos right away, and things came out quick! Our kids both ordered the kids chicken tenders with fries, while my spouse ordered the fish and chips and I ordered the cowboy burger. It was all amazingly delicious. The burger was huge! I actually didn't set it down once I started attacking it for fear it would lose all structural integrity-it was that good! Loved the seating area-it was welcoming, clean, and even with the UT game on didn't feel overwhelmingly like a bar. There was also a beer garden in the back that looked like it would be a great place to relax and enjoy a drink. We stopped in here about a year ago, it's out of the way and we accidentally came across Hell or High Water Brewing. This past weekend we were out and about and I felt like having a beer and a pretzel, for a year now I've been comparing bar pretzels with this place. I can't provide a review on the food here but I can tell you it's worth driving out of your way for this crispy outer, soft inner and overall delicious pretzel. The service here has been great the couple of times we visited and it's a really nice quaint establishment. The beer selections have been good and we've had a couple of nice IPA's. We have had too many breweries in Austin closing, it's nice places like this that need to get our business so we don't lose another. read more

My husband and I are always on the hunt for a great brewery. We found one! We headed in for happy hour on his birthday and loved it! We were pretty much the only people there when we arrived but it was full as we left. The staff is very personable and pulled up a chair to talk for a bit and share the bars story and future. The happy hour margaritas were yummy, tall and strong! Yes, I drank margaritas at a brewery... My husband is the beer drinking. We enjoyed the 1/2 price pork nachos and street tacos. The food here is reaaaally overpriced for what you get, though I'll admit the chicken fingers were actually pretty good. The Cobb salad was tiny and for almost $20, it's ridiculous. That said, the experience left a sour taste for reasons beyond the menu prices. I mentioned to our server that it had been my birthday the night before, and he replied, "How old did you turn? 29?" I said, "No, 27." Now, look--I get that some people think they're being charming or funny with comments like that, but honestly? Why guess a woman's age at all? It felt like an awkward attempt at flattery that actually made me feel self-conscious and uncomfortable. The implication that I looked older and he was trying to "soften the blow" really struck a nerve. It may seem small to some, but it's a good reminder that you never know what someone is insecure about, and guessing age--especially for women--is just not it. Despite the weird vibe, I still left a 25% tip because I believe in tipping well when someone is doing their job. But please--servers, bartenders, whoever--just don't comment on people's age. The service was subpar; our waitress was kinda rude and giving blunt comments (which is ok) but you probably shouldn't be a waitress if you aren't hospitable... The food is so overpriced. $120 for 4 people, and two of the people got chicken tenders and fries!! The Parmesan truffle fries were all Parmesan, and they were $7.50 for a serving. I think any restaurant that has fries separate from the entree is stupid, in general, but it was so overpriced that it made it even more upsetting. This has become one of our go to spots in Liberty Hill! They recently completely the outdoor patio section so we had to go and check it out. Really love the extra seating! It's got TVs, space heaters and fans depending on the weather, and a great spot to listen to live music on the weekends. Our server Matthew was awesome and the food and drinks were great! We usually get the Fish and Chips (always cooked perfectly) and on this occasion I enjoyed the Hibiscus Devils Punch Cocktail-so delicious and strong! I've been wanting to visit his brewpub for quite some time. It is reasonably spacious with a full bar and plenty of craft beers on tap. It's all craft beers here, no Miller, Coors, Bud or Ultra here. There's lots of seating outside behind the establishment, but in July when it's over 100°, it's worth staying inside. However, during the summer their AC is inadequate and the inside temperature hovers in the mid 80s. The food is pretty decent, but the fries are pretty average. Came here on Sunday afternoon. Place looked cool and fun. We were sat immediately in a table near the bar. Our server , who seemed to want to be somewhere else, offered us waters and took our drink orders. I ordered a four beer flight and enjoyed each one served. The Padre Muldoon was my favorite! We ordered the pulled pork nachos and the cowboy burger. The nachos were fantastic! Big portion, good taste and a little heat! The salsa served on the side was tasty and spicy. The burger was really good and also a little bit spicy. The fries were phenomenal! We walked in and it was really nice and clean. The outside area is a perfect place to hangout and eat. It was dark, but they had a really nice Christmas decoration set up going on as well! It was very festive! The service was great! They were just the right amount of attentive. They gave us time and didn't rush us to order and filled up our waters in a timely matter. We got one app and it was the Sheriff and Deputy, which is just queso and salsa with chip. It was good. For our meals, there were 5 adults and 2 kids. Between the adults we got the Steak Sandwich, the Texas Alfredo, the Cowboy Burger and the Meza's Camarones. Everything was cooked to perfection! The real star was the Texas Alfredo. It has great heat and the chicken cutlet was cooked perfectly! The beer! It was really good. Got the flight, the favorites were the Padre Muldoon and Red Sleigh! One of my favorite breweries for a well rounded experience. The staff is great. They are down to earth and unpretentious. They have a good product and are willing to help with recommendations. The beer is very good. Depending upon your tastes you can almost certainly find something you like. The food is great pub-grub. My personal favorite is the pretzel. The patio is very hot in the summer but great from fall to late spring. They usually have sports on at the bar if you want to check that out. What a wonderful brewpub in downtown Liberty Hill. They have recently ramped back up due to a little virus scare that I heard will disappear magically once it gets hot. Hey, it's hot and humid #covid_time_to_bueno_bye. This pub has a comfy bar area, formal dining, and a pretty large (and too sunny and hot) patio area. They do have live music on certain evenings. We sat in their bar area and was pleasantly surprised that they also serve alcohol. There were quite a few specialty drinks on the menu including Mexican Martinis. They do have quite an assortment of TX craft beers but sadly their own beer is not quite ready for prime time. Soon, we were promised. I quaffed a couple of Real Ales while Plus 1 went for a Pilsner. HH has quite an eclectic food menu. There is something for all like a pimento burger, pulled pork nachos (which are the bomb!), salmon, wings, and even a charcuterie platter. The service was beyond fantastic! Everyone was friendly and we wanted for absolutely nothing during our visit. We are planning a return visit as they are releasing an IPA and I believe a stout. Super friendly and accommodating staff. A perfect little getaway outside of Austin. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and were immediately seated outside on a nice little patio with an umbrella. Our waitress zoomed over and had several people helping her to ensure we got our drinks and our food quickly. She was so sweet and we appreciated her telling us about the non-menu beer flavors (and letting me sample a couple based on what I would like). The black IPA was a little heavier / sweeter, and the recent hazy ipa was pretty standard. I ended up getting the kolsh, which was awesome, my boyfriend got the amber which was REALLY REALLY good too! Bravo on the beer. We ordered the Sheriff and Deputy (chips, white queso, and salsa) - the queso was exactly like Georgia queso, but a little thicker with some peppers/mix-ins. A simple but awesome patio snack. Didn't get any pictures, but a wonderful stop after hiking around the Balcones Canyonland area. Be sure to grab a brewery sticker too! read more

Really cool local place. The first time we ate there my wife and I both got the bourbon chicken plate and were unimpressed as the chicken appeared formed, and it was marginal in the taste department. The food was good. I had the chicken street tacos and the flour tortillas were soft and fresh, chicken well seasoned, and the sauce had the perfect amount of spice. Husband had the pimento cheese burger and he enjoyed it. It came with fries that were crispy and well seasoned. We sat outside. The outside area is nice with plenty of umbrellas for shade. They also had a live singer on Saturday night which provided a good atmosphere. The only complaint is that there was a construction dumpster nearby and sometimes we could smell garbage. I assume that is a temporary problem and it would not keep us from returning again and sitting outside. Staff was friendly as well. Recommend! read more
