The pros: super cute decor & plenty of activities for the family! Interesting menu. The cons: Really slow service from the kitchen. Our waitress was fast & efficient, but the kitchen was not. The food was ok, but I've never been served a Patty melt where the bread was toasted, not grilled. Is it even a Patty melt if it's not grilled??? There were plenty of open tables, but they stuck us right next to the kitchen door. That was somewhat annoying. I think Camp Briteside is a really cool concept, and it can get back on track with some work. It would also be cool if there was some kind of S'mores dessert option!

We went on a double date on a Thursday night. It was so busy, they were on a wait. Adorable decor/ theme. When we did get seated I have to say the service was incredibly slow. Both the bartender and our server were very nice, but we waited nearly an hour and a half to eat. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. I ordered the chicken sandwich with pimento cheese, bacon, and slaw. I would order it again in a heartbeat. The onion rings were perfect. My husband liked his smash burger a lot too. We had a really good time. I would absolutely bring the family back to play outside.

The greeter at the door seemed genuinely glad to see me and seated me quickly taking my drink order. When it arrived it was exactly right. Then Whitney took my food order. She too seemed very pleased I was there. When my food was ready a young man from the kitchen brought it. It was scrumptious (Mahi-mahi with all the fixings!!) My meal was as good as anything I ever got in New Orleans at Antoine's or in NYC. It was peaceful and I had choices of baseball, football, soccer, hockey and tennis. When I left 3 people told me to come back which I shall do very soon!! Margaret H. Williams Georgetown, TX (new resident)

AWESOME !! Just what we needed on this side of the tracks! WE WILL DEFINATELY BE BACK. Rhea (our server) was spectacular! Lots of TVs and variety to watch-- plus they were Johnny on the spot with changing the channel as soon as UT ended to make sure A&M game was on & World Series too. Rhea even let us sit at a picnic table (not usually a full service table) which I was so glad since we had friends coming much later I didn't want to hog a section table. Decor/theme, location & ambiance was all great. Very cute. Kids had a BLAST! Wiffle ball & ping pong. Food: Our burgers were soo good & hearty. Finally a place who doesn't skimp on the meat. Even the kids burgers were LEGIT! Great flavor! Crispy fries:)) Wings were very good meaty & crispy. Queso was really good but could've been heated up more (barely warm) and pile on more chips. We ran out of chips w queso left but didn't want to bother her for more. Thankful for this place Definately need a fun S'mores dessert or maybe fondue option w choc graham crackers marshmallows Great job! Kudos to the owners on this new adventure!

A fun quirky type of place! It's definitely out there but we enjoyed the drive and I enjoy my child can run around in a fenced area. The service was meh- took a long time for my drink after my other party got theirs. And the food wasn't hot which should've been but it was fine. Our server was nice but food overall was good but nothing that said I have to get again! Definitely would try again but the perk is kids running around with other kids!

Went to check out Camp Briteside on Labor Day Monday for drinks and dinner. The camp theme on the inside is amazing and activities outside include wiffleball, ping pong, cornhole, connect four and a live music stage! The drinks were delicious and we loved the variety on the menu. We started with the fried green tomatoes, followed by the salmon and chicken fried steak as entrees and 2 signature cocktails. Banana pudding for dessert. Such a great addition to the west side of Georgetown! Looking forward to the live music.

The online ordering system is also incredibly convenient. I can place my order before I leave, see exactly when it will be ready, and time the drive perfectly. Everything is hot and ready when I arrive. There are good local pizza places much closer to where I live, but I still choose to drive about an hour to Obsidian Brewery because that's how good it is. Thoroughly surprised and impressed by this pizza. I chose this spot randomly because everything near me was closed (and we absolutely had to have pizza on this particular night). DELIVERY: They offer delivery and it was a smooth process. Easy online ordering. MENU: Excellent. Each combination of toppings seemed very carefully curated. Everything sounded good. PIZZA: Very good. We tried the Pepperoni / Basil and Mushroom Man. The pizza itself was nice and thin with a fantastic doughy crust that had little pockets of crispy blistering. Nailed the texture there (at least for me). The toppings were great too. The pepperoni did that little cup thing that it does when it curls up. Love that. The Mushroom Man tasted really good -- nice combination of ingredients (delicious mushrooms -- you can tell they were the real deal). Ultimately, this is my new favorite pizza spot in the area. Highly recommended.

As I was leaving the We Are Blood donor center on Bell Boulevard, I thought "why not check out a brewery I don't visit very often for lunch?" (kids, I am a professional. Don't try this at home--a brewery visit right after dropping a pint is probably not a donor center recommendation for most normal folks). A search on "breweries near me" revealed that this spot was 1 mile away. Winner. Plenty of parking front and side, the taproom was pleasant inside and out. I took a seat at a nearly full bar next to a good group of World Cup (ESP/AUT) watchers. Two big TVs over the bar, in a large taproom/dining area with 5 more, shared with the sort of "built-in food truck" called "600 Degrees Pizza" except it's a proper pizza shop, no wheels. There's a shaded outdoor patio with a bar window, and 5 more TVs, and a covered tent area beyond that, with a play area for the kiddos. Had a Ray Ray Hazy IPA, crisp and cold and delicious NE-style IPA. I walked over to the pizza counter and ordered a slice, considered the slice/salad lunch special but opted for the HH slice special, pepperoni at $5. Minutes later a guy delivered the single largest pizza slice I have ever tried to hold in my hand to my seat at the bar. Apparently they do a 6-cut TWENTY FOUR INCH PIE for slices, so my slice was 75.4 square inches of tasty gooey goodness. Unwieldy, and took some tactical consumption logistics calculation, but I finished every bit--a meal for me, and I was glad I skipped the salad. Very good pie, and VERY filling. One more small beer, from Jester King, as I watched Spain knock Austria out 3-0. Friendly folks on both sides of the bar, good beer, and good food in a nice taproom. I'll be back.

With this brewery I got a beer type I don't always get and when I do it's a nice change of pace and that is a Brown Ale. I took the opportunity to get one here and the name of this brewery's version is a fun one... it's called Velvet Nunchuks. The flavor profile in this one is good... in it you can have fun with detecting caramel, roastiness and maltiness. The beer is smooth and has nice mouthful due to that. Whitestone was a good stop even if it is a bit of a ways from downtown Austin.

I asked Nick if we were still okay, and it wasn't one of those fake "yeah, you're fine" answers. They welcomed us in, took our order, and went right to work like it was any other time of day. That's what stood out to me. There wasn't a shortcut taken because it was close to closing. They didn't grab slices that had been sitting around. They made them the way they're supposed to be made. Crispy pepperoni, bubbling cheese, perfect crust... exactly what you'd expect from a place that takes pride in what they serve. At the end of the day, cooking great pizza is what they're supposed to do. The difference is that 600° does it with the same care at 9:30 at night as they do at lunchtime, and that's rare. Thoughts on food - The buffalo chicken tasted less like well buffalo chicken (what I'd imagine more on a wing sauce) and more just like a chicken pizza. I'm not sure how to describe it but I think the sauce missed the mark for me. The Margherita was good, I am a veggie lover so I just wish there were more tomato's and herbs on that side, otherwise it could be a bit dry. The Greek salad was a great veggie item to split, and the tiramisu is better than what you'd get at HEB but I wouldn't put it number 1 on my list either. I wish I had solid pieces of lady fingers in each bite. I'm uncertain given the influx of pizza options in the area if I'd order a whole pie myself, I'm open to trying the slices.
