Quaint neighborhood hang out. Lots of variety in the beer selection and super friendly waitstaff. If you aren't interested in beer and wine, they do have coffee and a variety of bar snacks. The vibe is like a Starbucks but with adult beverages! Give them a try

Great spot to grab a drink in the neighborhood! There are tasty options for snacking or drinking and the service is super friendly. Try the Momo's michelada!

Fantastic selection of beer and super friendly bartenders…read more But this review is about their food truck that's run by Little House Kitchen (according to their online ordering platform). And BTW you can only order online with a qr code (this is always a bad customer experience imo). And just like this, the customer service isn't up to part. The fish is fantastic with a crispy hand batter. The fries were the absolute worst. Not crispy and tasted like I took some non name brand fries and threw them in an air fryer. And for $13 I expect more than 4 oz of fish. Sure there were plentiful fries but when they're that bad we both wasted money. But coming back to the service, with 3 empty bottles of malt vinegar and an empty ketchup dispenser and one guy working, of course I'm going to rate the service as bad. But let's face it, we come for the BEER!!

Imagine Lala's feels like a chill, comfy neighborhood bar where you can actually enjoy yourself, and the ambiance, and have a conversation with whoever you came with, instead of a tourist clogged beehive? Because BOOM that's Lala's South Pole. I'm not even a big Christmas person, and I am smitten. Charming, quite, festive. It feels like a hidden gem. I probably shouldn't be reviewing it so it can stay that way, but no one like a gatekeeper. Also, absolute baller pizza from Brooklyn Pie Co. I had to really talk myself down from going back the next night just for more pizza. The service is... well what you would expect from a "trendy" Austin dive bar, as in... None, but that's part of the charm kind of? I've actually tried a lot of new pizza places lately and this is what stands out in my mind. Drinks wise? It's a bar. They serve you alcohol. Nothing special, but nothing wrong with it either.

I placed my lunch order using the QR code, but in the future I would probably go inside to order, as it felt like multiple steps. My son and I ordered burgers -- he got his with fries and I got mine with tots -- and my daughter ordered the hot honey turkey biscuit. It took quite a while for the food to come out, but what I will say is that the burger I ordered is literally one of the best burgers I have ever had. It had the right amount of savory, sweet, and crunchiness, along with the juiciness of the burger patty. I don't live in that area, but the next time I'm nearby, I would go there just to get that burger!

Getting to Buddy's is easy as they have a designated parking area out back. Once parked you're greeted by their patio area where there is a door for entry into the main bar. They are dog friendly, a very big plus considering most don't allow dogs at all. The bar itself is a bit divey with a domino and pool tables setup in the main area. The patrons are all very welcoming as are the workers, it definitely gives you a warm feeling to be there. We ordered 3 mixed drinks, which were all solid and the total came out to $18. Can't beat that price up north. One of the biggest highlights was the live music in the back. They have live music consistently throughout the week so you can always catch a performance. It is very easy to pass time in this bar between the music, games, and just good company overall. We didn't have a neighborhood bar yet but this place might just be the answer to that (a lot of that has to do with how comfortable the patrons and workers make you feel).

This warrants an update because my initial review was nothing more than a couple of sentences and written long after I'd visited multiple times. Brewtorium opened back in 2018 and I've been multiple times during our twice yearly trips to visit family (prior to relocating to ATX). Ok, so... Going from four stars to five and I'll explain in a minute. First, I want to say how incredible the service is. As are the pours and food. Never once have we had a bad experience. It's a really welcoming spot with stellar beers. I love that they offer a mix of food options from traditional German brewery food to traditional American brewery and pub food. Here is why we're going up a star: during our latest visit, I walked over to our table after ordering and spilled my beer everywhere. Before even getting a sip lol. A staffer immediately came over with towels, cleaning products, and a fresh replacement beer. All without making me feel foolish or embarrassed. Next, we attended an event in the private room and it was perfect. Service continued to be above and beyond. Finally, I'd like to thank the brewmaster and his team for The Lost Mambo and to beg that it stay on regular rotation and not seasonal. Gang, this is the greatest beer!! My absolute favorite. It's an Italian pilsner (only 5.5 abv) w/lemon biscotti. Wow. Wow. Wow. One of my fave breweries. Hands down. Support local. Drink beer...or not (they've got mocktails and n/a beer options).

While busy, we got through the line incredibly fast, had a lovely interaction with a staff person, and got a seat at a large table with no issue. Definitely a good spot for a group. Great place!
