We visited this cool bar initially because we had a coupon for a free cocktail from one of the apartment buildings we toured. We went on scooters on a hot day, and it was a great place to cool down and have a tiki drink! Our bartender was so nice and welcoming, and we had the whole place to ourselves. Very cute interior - loved the record wall and sign near the restrooms. There is a fun photobooth with hilarious photos people have taken too. They had just released a new drink menu, and I tried one that was made with vegan cream of coconut and tequila. It was SO good and refreshing. Prices are reasonable and they have a great happy hour too! We will be back at night time! read more

went to check out little drinks lounge across the street from RedRose! was able to go visit during their holiday winter pop-up! They had a select list of Christmas cocktails or shots that you could take. (they use premium liquor in the themed cocktails and cocktails you order). I love the decor and the service that was given there! we ordered a pretzel that was delivered out pretty quickly. The photo booth and photo wall was a nice touch to the bar that adds a unique style to them! would highly recommend checking this place out if you're just wanting to hang out with your friends and or wanting to take someone on a date! read more

I ordered the vaya con dios, judgement day, and the fifth element on their summer menu. definitely worth the experience if you're visiting and it's a nice everyday happy hour option if you're an austinite. the bill came out to $57 which isn't bad for three flavorful drinks, a shot, and two little corn dogs for a party of one. i'll definitely be back!! p.s. Stopped by Little Drinks Lounge for a post-dinner cocktail, and it's truly the cutest local bar. The indoor seating is small but cozy, and they offer plenty of outdoor seating. Inside, they have a pool table, a photo booth, and always play classic movies. I've caught everything from '80s hits like 16 Candles to horror films like IT. I ordered the Girlfriend (can't remember the full name), which was made with gin, lemon, honey, bubbles, and peaflower. The peaflower doesn't add flavor but turns the drink purple--it was incredibly refreshing. I sat at the bar and noticed it's a popular choice among other guests, too. The bartenders are super personable and genuinely seem to enjoy their jobs, which makes for a welcoming, fun atmosphere. It's a neighborhood place. You wouldn't go out of your way to come here. That said, it does a pretty good job. As the name suggests, it's small -- a tiny main bar area, a small adjacent room with tables, plus an outside patio area. Kinda cramped, but kinda cozy. The service was excellent! No fancy drink specials, but they can make the basics. All the drinks were tasty. And the prices were a nice change from either downtown or further north on Congress -- I got four drinks for $51. When I want a few good, cheap drinks without going far, I'll be back. read more

Interesting little bar located below some apartments on Soco. The place is small, but there were open tables when we arrived on a Friday evening that had cute modern chairs. They also have a nice patio space for a warm day. The decor is eclectic and interesting to look at with plenty of Instagram-y walls/art. Their drinks are reasonably priced and we were able to walk up to the bar and get served quickly. I don't think this would be a good space for a larger group. They serve food, but we didn't order any and stuck to beer. There was a weird smell when we were there. We all commented on it and couldn't quite get past it. I welcome you with open arms and all smiles as this spot is definitely worth coming in to have a cocktail, beer on draft, and be sure to pair it with a hot thin crust NY-style pizza from Pedroso's Pizza trailer! This spot is probably the darkest bar in the South Austin area with their black out crushed velvet curtains, cushiony dark green & black booths, and super cute pink neon signs - which is all a great things for a bar especially on hot summer days when you just want to drink in a dark cool place. You're the coolest little brother for sure and I am so excited to have you in the neighborhood. Came in with my best friend to try out their happy hour menu on a Friday afternoon and we were pleasantly surprised how low-key the vibes are here + the great happy hour specials they have. On week days from 5:00PM - 7:00PM they have $2 Lonestar, $2 PBR, $2 Miller Lite, 1/2 price pints of beer (they have about 8-10 local drafts), $5 Old Fashions, and $10 pizzas were on special when we came in. We definitely took advantage of the $2 beers and got lost in conversation while watching others get a game or two on the all black out pool table. Every day Little Drinks has a special deal on cocktails and drinks and will reward you handsomely on Sunday/Monday/Tuesday Industry nights with some great shot specials. Be sure to ask the bartenders or check out their signage on the bar tops. The gender neutral restrooms are selfie-worthy so be ready to want to take a picture of yourself with the album artwork that is plastered all over the walls from ceiling to waist level. I especially loved the prep/extra mirror space between the restrooms with the coolest Support Your Girl Gang neon pink sign. Grab your girlfriends and get ready to post your gang in front of it. Be sure to grab a photo from the photo booth, where you will also find the 2nd pink neon sign above it, so that you can add your pic to the others who frequently come to Little Drinks. Plenty of space and picnic tables outside in front for fresh air, outdoor hangs, and zooming car watching up and down Congress Ave. It does fill up outside pretty fast, especially as the night goes on, but there is plenty of standing room and seats to hang out on as well. Parking was super easy for us (street parking up and down Alpine Rd- the road that is a huge hill) but also spots right in front of the storefronts directly off of S. Congress + free parking in the retail spaces right behind Little Drinks in the condo, The Davis, area. I am definitely going to make sure to tell my friends and coworkers to join me for a week day happy hour as I dig the vibes and really appreciated the swift service from the bar staff. Awesome charming spot. Had the pleasure of swinging by during my weekend trip to Austin. By luck, I happened to be served by the owner herself. Friendly, personable, and held awesome conversation. Her old fashioned was not bad at all! They were playing movies on their projector screen, added a nice odd sense of security, entertainment, and distraction. The bar was very close to where I was staying and was a perfect spot to chill after new years eve night. Favorite drink has been the frozen mezcal pineapple. They have just about everything you'd expect except for good wines. They're still new but I'd reccomend you give them a try! I like the feel the bar's atmosphere is a split between classy and divey, which is unique in this city. I had a few beers at the bar. I asked the bartender if she had an option for a Mezcal drink. She asked if I liked Green Chartreuse, which I do. I didn't have the opportunity to try the pizza, but I most certainly will return to do so.
