[[HIGHLIGHT]]This sports bar is on the more casual side.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Also was my first time on West 6th and it was interesting to see the different demographics compared to Dirty 6th. This might also change from day to night, as not many POC watch college football. One of my new friends had already claimed a table near the main screen. They were showing the Alabama/Florida State game. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have an abundance of water coolers and fans everywhere at each angle.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I thought this was great and definitely felt rejuvenated after leaving Victory Lap. The food was great too, hopefully some nice people nearby partook of our leftovers after we went to bar #3

GIANT onion rings. Quesadillas with shredded chicken or pork. Nachos and queso.

Pro-tip: Weekly HH (7 cocktails for $7), with loveusic starting around 8 PM. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Average American spot, best for group gatherings, mingling and enjoying live music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Rating: 3.5/5 [drinks only] Our friend took us on a bar-hopping tour, and Rustic Tap was one of the stops. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place has a cozy, homey vibe with a mix of seating options--from campfire-style setups to bar seating and regular tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I tried the Sure 'Nuff (Deep Eddy Lemon, Peach Schnapps, and Pink Lemonade), which was super easy to drink and tasted great. The self-serve water stations were a nice, convenient touch. We sat in front of the stage and caught a couple of songs from the live band before heading out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, Rustic Tap is a fun, laid-back spot to hang out with friends and enjoy some live music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Rustic tap is THE sports bar to go to in Austin. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great drinks, plenty of room to hangout or sit at a picnic table, good music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's hands down my favorite place to watch a sports game. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When there isn't sports on, it's fun to watch live music there too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'll also shout out their food as I love their snack menu. I always get their flautas as a late night snack and they always hit.

Came here on a Thursday night, the bar was busy and packed with corporate finance bros with name tags and Thursday football crowd. There were multiple fireplaces surrounded with comfy camping chairs, which was a nice touch. We didn't order any food but they do have normal bar food. They have a nice selection of local beers. Out of the cocktails we ordered, El Tigre was the better one (3.5/5). I'm not a fan of their take on ranch water (2/5).

Your sports bar on 6th street near downtown Austin. Not sure how you can park nearby for free so that's a minus. Very frat bro and corporate bro vibes to this bar and super crowded on a Thursday night but it's got ample outdoor seating and food much like Heights Biergarden in Houston. Their drinks were fine and not too watered down but their ranch water wasn't my favorite.

Large space for seating, all outdoor seating. Stage for a band and dancing if your heart so desires. The place is crowded on Saturday nights so the bartenders are stretched thin so the service isn't great, and the drinks are even worse.

Holy shiitake mushrooms. What's not to love about this place? The local beer selection is delightful. The bartenders will happily answer any questions you have. The food is a MUST! Don't sleep on the chips trio. Which is better, the salsa or queso? We couldn't decide...

Draught House is German inspired with a nice, big beer garden and the way the inside looks it seems like you may have walked right into a German restaurant or drinking establishment with all of the dark wood and lighting. I believe you can get food from a food truck , possibly things like sausages which I'm sure are good but we brought in some food from a grocery store as we wanted something lighter and more vegetable forward. Their beer selection here is quite large and choices are pretty numerous. I decided to go with an Amber Ale it was very good! The name of it was called Cold Comfort. Flavor features to enjoy with this particular beer are malty, sweet, caramel and breadiness. The beer had a nice carbonation level too! All the flavors blended and melded together quite nicely which was nice. They certainly do know how to make beer and it was nice to get a beer type that I don't get as often. Lots and lots of other intriguing beer options aside from the one I tried here!

In the warmer weather which is plentiful in Texas sometimes I shift my focus towards Mexican Lagers and when we were visiting here that sounded amazing. So I went with the Primos Lager. It was an excellent Mexican Lager and totally what I wanted in the flavor profile. Occasionally other Mexican Lagers can be a letdown but not in this case at all... nope... not one bit. In the flavor profile you will taste a grainy flavor, maltiness (but it's not heavy handed. It's very well balanced), citrus and lime are present as well. The Primos is so easy to drink that you could easily have more than one in one sitting... but I behaved and just had the one. Great brewery with fairly large outdoor and indoor seating however it can fill up real fast on Fridays and weekends.

The sourdough pizza was really good--almost like a focaccia/Detroit-style hybrid, but with the sauce layered on the bottom. Super flavorful, crispy edges, soft inside... honestly just hit. Also--my husband was way too excited (in the best way) to see boiled peanuts on the menu, so of course we had to start there. Great call. We'll definitely be back.

The building is quite large and inside is cool as the seating is quite spacious and a large number of people can enjoy food and drink at once. Definitely not a tiny, small placed brewery...but it's true... everything is bigger in Texas! When we were at Pinthouse I spotted a Mexican Lager which is a type of lager I love and especially in warm weather... a perfect summer beer for me! The name of the beer was Burro's Breakfast. In the flavor profile of this beer you will find a naturally sweet corn flavor, some maltiness along with a tart and dry finish. The beer is light bodied like most lagers of this type and smooth in body. In addition to having a beer we also decided to get some lunch. So we got a chicken sandwich a piece along with coleslaw and had a very nice lunch. Coming to Pinthouse Brewing proved to be a good stop as we made a pretty extensive tour of the breweries in Austin.

So we thought we would make a whole night of it. Tiffany did make reservations for us for 7pm and even though this is a bar hopping neighborhood, even at 7pm it was pretty busy. Streets were full of people. Anthem had a vibe. I felt the energy as soon as I waked in. The cozy booths with the U shaped seating with plush green velvet fabric. Wait staff wore Hawaiian shirts. Sitting up behind me on a ledge was the Easter Island statue. Insert (Night At The Museum) here, dumb dumb give me gum gum. Anthem was our first stop tonight. Just drinks and a dinner. I ordered the Peach Fuzzy drink. Not too sweet, refreshing, peachy, and beautiful garnish of a flower. I ordered the Yummy Fries which looked like a salad. Gorgeous presentation. Fries were actually waffle sweet potatoes. Pickled ginger, sesame seeds, furikake, aïoli and a few other wonderful ingredients. Could not get over how beautiful everything looked. Presentation outstanding. Service delightful. Had a wonderful time at Anthem. We both did use the ladies rooms before leaving. Inside the bathroom there is a sign about safety and if you need assistants. I did take a picture of it. On our way out, Brian the manager, said good night to us and waved. We later saw Brian at another place. And I'll write about that in my review for that place as well. Brian, you're Doll, thank you for your hospitality.
