We went there before the show across the street to kill some time. I got a glass of Jefe and I'm not sure what exactly cause it but it tasted like smoked salmon. The kind you put on a bagel, ya know. I have had this beer before and I know it is supposed to be smoky BUT not fishy?!?!?! Also the bathrooms' choice of stall doors is questionable. Who decided that double door opening was a great idea for a bar bathroom (or any crammed bathroom overall). I was sober and took me a moment to properly get it to close. Imagine someone would need to use it after a few drinks...? The only good things were so far a big outdoors area in my opinion. We didn't get any food since we were there after dinner.

Came in for a friend birthday and it truly loved the outside. Inside kind of vibe. It's very cute for big groups and very spacious outside. The ambience overall is very cute and gives off a day party. Kind of vibe. The food was also very good. No complaints about the food or the drinks. Overall food, drinks and ambience. We're all fine. What's keeping me from giving this place? A better rating was truly just the bar staff. When I walk into a bar, I want to feel like I'm coming in to hang out with friends. Not like an Outsider, who doesn't understand the vibe of the people versus the actual music because they did not match at all. You can tell that the bartender was on the ox and clearly only worried about what songs we're going to get him through the day. I wish that there would've been someone who knew how to read the room and could've made us feel more welcome, especially considering the fact that there was about 20 people in my group. But also baffled me was the fact that the bartender was giving us such a hard time knowing that majority of this group likes to frequent the bars in the area. Personally, I would not be back, unless I absolutely have to for an event.

This is my first time here on a Friday night around 6pm. I got lucky with parking in there a lot, but it was pretty full even by the time I got there. The vibes of the place were pretty cool. It was a good place to come with a group of friends and sit at the bar or kickback in a booth or a picnic table outside. Inside, they had pool tables in the back and karaoke room and outside that day they had, a live DJ. as for my food, I wasn't pressed by the price point. It was nice to pay six dollars for a burger which filled me up, but I'm not sure would fill up other people. The burger itself was juicy, flavorful and the bun was plush! The sweet potato tots I had a high hopes for, but they definitely fell short , and would not recommend those. They were too dense on the inside.

Filled with throng of college kids and thus cheap beers & food! Went here for an office meet-up for a casual team-outing. We were lucky to get a table and also had a chance at the pool table. It was $2 with coin ingested machines. Got the cocunut rum. The vibe was really good outside in the open space. Will return. Parking situation could have been better.

Interesting layout with lots of spaces within the bar. For example, a gambling lounge (machines), karaoke lounge called Show Pony, and also part of Copperhead as well. The DJ spinning when we were there was fantastic. Our bartender was fun and attentive. Beers are cheap. Yay. I also really dig the layout of the large patio.

Old fashioned drink-manager does a great old fashioned

We came here once to take out my cousins and discovered they have a Tuesday steak dinner special, so we ordered that special which comes with Roasted Brussel sprouts that are delicious. Don't really like Brussel sprouts but the way they make it here is soo good. The steak is yummy and tender. We also ordered some drinks and thats where the one less star comes from because of the lack of service from one of the bartenders. She was the representation of selective service and neglect. She would tend to certain customers but we were that group she didn't care to pay attention to us and dont go to her if you want an old fashioned. If it wasn't for the excellent service and professionalism of the manager, that night would have been a bad experience and would have me upset. He had a talk with her and he took care of us the rest of the time. We were grateful he noticed and took over. The place has a dim bar vibe but they have so much room and have an outside area that you can play certain games like cornhole etc. TVs around

Bar area showing college volleyball over pro football in Texas

Joined Yelp just to review the fact that this "sports bar" apparently lets the clients pick the games on Sunday and once chosen no one else can get it changed. Buzz Mill has $3.25 PBR and at least they don't choose to not put on games. Very disappointing experience as per usual if I am being honest. Basically if you don't know the bartenders don't bother. No beer menu but $7 for a Shiner and showing volleyball during peak football season.

I've been here twice and loved it each time. The first time was on a weekend night a few years ago with my fiancé for the bar scene, and we had a great time chatting with our friends & playing cornhole. The second time was this past Monday, to celebrate a flag football championship with my team. I got food this time around, and all of it was delicious. Their burger was 5/5, their sweet potato tots were also 5/5, and the corn dogs were a solid 4.5/5. Fries were just okay. Also, the bartender Sam was very friendly and she did a good job working the bar.

Anyone know if this place is 21+ only?

It's a bar so I'd say yes. There's usually a door guy checking ids when it's dark

The bartender claimed I was drunk and cut me off anyway. I was at the bar talking to a girl while waiting to get a drink (the wait was long because the service is very slow, despite the bar not being very busy at all). She was clearly into me, and the bartender kept jumping in trying to talk to her too (instead of doing his job making drinks). He was doing all sorts of things to try and flirt with her and make her laugh: pulling out and showing her buckets of pre mixed cocktails, running and sliding under the bar, etc. She was engaging with both of us , and right in the middle of that, I get cut off out of nowhere. No explanation other than claiming I looked drunk, which I very clearly wasn't. It felt very clear what was going on--he wanted me out of the way. I left and asked the bouncer on my way out if I seemed drunk. This was literally two minutes later. He said no, not at all, and asked me why I would even ask that. I then told him exactly what happened and asked him to let the owner or whoever was in charge know about this extremely unprofessional conduct so they can discipline the bartender. His response was that the bartender has discretion to cut anyone off, and let me know the bartender is supposedly married so he couldn't have been flirting with any of the customers. Well, sounds like his logic is flawed--not only COULD he flirt with his customers, he WAS, and was therefore cheating. I hope his wife finds out. This is perfectly representative of Austin customer service lately and not normal in other places. I was in Tampa for an entire month earlier this year and this would've been unthinkable there. I'm not coming back.

If you're coming here definitely do yourself the favor and Uber as parking is incredibly difficult to find there. Getting in is very quick and efficient and once you're in you're greeted by live music and a fun open space to get drinks and hang out with friends. There are multiple different places to get drinks from which is nice as you can choose how long you would like to wait in a line. Drinks are not unreasonably priced and they were good as well. The ability to sit throughout the area, get up and dance, or just listen to music makes this a great spot to stay entertained for a while. We came when there was an event being put on by Zyn where they were giving out free drinks to nicotine users which was funny because why not get you hooked on nicotine AND alcohol. But seriously, there are typically food trucks and more things going on here but the Zyn trucks took up those spots which was a bit of a letdown but we're assuming that's just a one off event. Between a good band, decent drinks, and a good amount of seating options, this is a good spot to sit down with some friends and just vibe out for the night. We'd give it a recommendation if you're looking for something fun but not too much fun on a night on East 6th.

The service was great, albeit there wasn't a big crowd. Everything came out quick and the staff were super attentive. The music was fun and vibes were great! I got to say that some happy hour prices were totally reasonable. Not boozy libations... but ok. However, $17 for a small cocktail? Joking right? Prices were from $5-$17 for everything from draught, premixed, and mixed but I feel like for that price point you are competing with bars that can be more creative with their drinks for a few bucks more. Is it worth a go? Sure! Recommend. Looking for basic cocktails at a reasonable price point- maybe. However they do focus on Mescal themed drinks if that's your thing so it's a bit of a niche. Comparing this place to legends like Roosevelt room isn't fair- but at least RR are heavy pourers! I left far from boozy which was fine for a weekday. IMO- Charge less for cocktails on happy hour. First of all - I am a happy hour girlie - I love a deal on a cocktail and a snack. Happy our is daily from 4 - 6 pm and it features $1 oysters, select $10 cocktails, and $2 off wines by the glass. In addition to oysters, there are awesome items like fingerling potatoes in Caesar dip, pasta sopresina with mussels, chicken wings, and a burger on the happy hour menu. I was really impressed with everything, especially the pasta. We ordered a side of foccacia to soak up all the sauce, it was divine! I started with La Brasa for my drink - which was a spicy tequila based cocktail with mango. I also got an Aperol spritz which was the size of my head, I loved it! We finished happy hour with a sweet treat that our local expert said we MUST try - the lasagna mille-feuille. This is a layered lasanga-inspired dessert with cream, crispy pastry, and candied pecan. For being so rich in flavor, this dish was light and airy and the perfect way to end our happy hour. The service here was friendly, and the place was packed! We made it for happy hour and left while live jazz was just starting. While it was a dreary day on our visit, I could definitely see myself having cocktails and oysters on the patio if it was a sunny day - it's so cute out there! While we didn't drive since we were traveling - there is a lot at the restaurant which is on the small side, and a parking garage across the street.
