Pro-tip: M-F 30% off pizzas. Pizzas are individual pie-sized, so the discount makes it much worth it. Cool neighborhood vibe, and usually gets busy given that. Service kind and attentive. Food is average. While the chicken Parmesan was $30, it was indeed good and the best item we ordered. Would certainly order again! The Brussels sprouts, stated as a popular dish, were too oily. In fact the pizza was very oily too. Didn't love that. The desserts were also just okay. The tiramisu, in my opinion, was too dry, but the Panna cotta (surprisongly a chocolate flavor) was better.

Visiting Austin and my grandkids wanted Pizza. As always I check for nearby locations on Yelp. I posted pics. Everything was delicious. From the appetizer menu. I ordered the buscata with peppers ( probably misspelled cuz I don't recall the correct name of this dish). Pizza and side plate of beets. The beets were delicious it had a sweet pecan nut flavor glaze. The beets did not taste earthy. Service was great. It surprised me that not many people were there. They have happy hour discounts on pizza that starts at 3pm. I think it was 30% off that Thursday. Not a bad deal. The location was clean. The entrance of this place looks run down but the food is actually delicious.

From beginning to end we had a lovely experience here! They let us even change our reservation from 7 to 8 people last minute! Everyone enjoyed their visit here last night! We started with garlic knots and calamari which were delish esp the garlic knots! The sun was in our friends eyes and she requested the server just turn the blinds the other way which she immediately did! Our entrees came shortly after and everything was yummy! We all tried each others dishes and they were all great! I highly recommend the bolognese! The chocolate mousse was also wonderful! From what I saw, it was decently priced. We will absolutely be back to try other entrees in the future!

Cipollina is a quaint neighborhood Italian spot that's great for a date night if you're looking for classics done right! I made reservations for 2 at 8:15 pm on a Saturday night. We arrived about 5 minutes early and were seated right away. FAST FACTS: * Parking - the free lot in front of the restaurant is small but there's also street parking nearby * Reservations - available online through OpenTable * Online ordering - available online through their website * Happy hour - Monday through Thursday from 3-6 pm with 30% off bottles of wine and pizzas * Closed on Sundays SERVICE - Our server was just okay... she never shared her name but she was quick and efficient with taking our order and getting food out to our table. She wasn't overly personable but she got the job done. PRICING - The total was $108.25.00 after tax ($8.25) but before tip for a small chopped salad ($12), Cipollina pizza ($18), two chicken parmesans ($30 each), and a tiramisu ($10). I feel like the pricing was reasonable for the portion size and quality of ingredients. Complimentary bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar are served to the table (although we had to ask for it to be brought after seeing other tables with it). CHOPPED SALAD (8/10) - Fantastic salad packed with tons of fresh veggies! The Italian dressing is absolutely delicious and there was the perfect amount coating all the chopped ingredients. The pieces of provolone cheese and salami add a nice savory element. I'd order this again! CIPOLLINA PIZZA (8/10) - Great option to share as an appetizer! The pizzas are prepared in a wood burning oven, which you can taste in the thin crust. The mushrooms were plentiful and the agrodolce added a nice touch of sweetness in every bite! The chèvre cheese was packed with flavor and the balsamic reduction drizzle tied it all together. I'd order this again! CHICKEN PARMESAN (8/10) - Delicious and classic! The chicken was an ideal thickness, cooked well (still juicy), and the breading was seasoned well. The mozzarella was perfectly melty across the top and the highlight was the homemade spaghetti noodles! It's a great portion size. I'd order this again! TIRAMISU (9/10) - This was one of the better classic versions of tiramisu I've had! It was served nice and cold, the lady fingers were soaked with espresso, and the mascarpone was perfectly creamy! It's ideal for sharing. I'd order this again! This was my first time at Cipollina's but I would definitely go back and will recommend it to others in the west Austin area! The only things keeping it from a 5 star rating are average service and nothing that stood out with the dishes.

Really enjoyed my time here. I had never heard of it but the food was delicious. The pesto pizza and Cesar were amazing! I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant as well. The pizza oven made a nice aroma and there was plenty of seating. Our waitress was super nice and patient with us. They do happy hour on pizza and wine Monday through Thursday. They also take reservations!

I ordered the Tagliatelle Alfredo and I was a bit disappointed to be honest. It was not flavorful at all. It was a good portion size, but not very tasty. I usually don't need to add extra condiments whenever I eat at a restaurant, but I needed to add black pepper and red chili flakes to make it more edible. I went on a weekday and it seemed to be moderately crowded, but the waiters were a bit slow. I know pasta is usually a heavier meal, but I think this was a bit too much. It was very buttery and the dish did not have much actual flavor or seasoning. Parking is limited, but I was able to find a spot on a weekday at least. Perhaps I ordered the wrong thing, but I don't have a strong urge to return.

    Spaghetti and Meatballs! Yum.

5 stars across the board. Clean and comfortable. This is definitely my schtick, rave reviews for local spots we adore. Vicky was an amazing server, attentive, great recommendations, stellar experience. Calamari and Bean Dip with crudités to start, hit the spot. Prosciutto Pizza was crispy and delicious. My husband fell in love with the spaghetti and meatballs, which was everything you want in a classic Italian dish. I had the Redfish, so crispy and moist... nothing but satisfied customers here.

Finally made my way to Cipollina after years of passing it in Clarksville thinking "oh I need to give that place a try". The curb appeal is very nice and if the weather isn't insanely oppressive, I'd say it's worth trying to get one of the few tables up front. Inside isn't bad to look at either, really enjoyed the dim, cozy ambiance all around. As for the food, the margherita pizza was closer to olive oil bread with tomatoes and cheese. That's not to say I didn't enjoy it, but my pizza snob instincts wouldn't allow me to compare it Little Deli or All Day. The chicken parm was very tasty and cooked well, both pasta and chicken. I was pleasantly surprised with the flavor of the sauce and the texture of the pasta. At $30 it's pretty pricey for what it is, but I can say it was one of the better ones I've had in Austin. Don't forget to also take advantage of the friendly neighborhood vibes that are excellent for a post meal digestive walk!

Overall my experience and Cipollina was okay. You first walk in and it feels like a neighborhood spot. Felt like a great intimate spot for date night. I will specify I went during New Years Eve and it was a pre fixe menu. The place was packed. I ended up going with the white bean puree, meatball (shared with a friend), the golden beets salad, seafood risotto, and the tiramisu. The food was okay. The appetizers were good the meatball was flavorful and the white bean purée was a tad bland. The golden beats also came bland but with the pistachios and herbs it was a great combo. The seafood risotto was on the overcooked side. The tiramisu was my least favorite. It was really dry didn't see a soaked lady finger, felt more like cake.

Another delicious meal, and great service. I had a cup of soup to start, which was a tomato, spinach blend, and very light and tasty, served with fresh bread for dipping. My wife, who wasn't that hungry, had golden bears and roasted Brussels sprouts. Large serving of both, and both were well-prepared and delicious (according to my wife). I had the chicken parmesan, a large portion if tender chicken surrounded by a lots of melted cheese and a tasty red sauce, served with spaghetti. Coffee for dessert topped of a delicious meal.

I have been wanting to try this restaurant for years and was finally able to do so. What a lovely and delicious treat it was. Reservations are accepted here, which is nice. Parking is a bit limited too. The food is so good. We ordered the shishito and burrata appetizer, which was excellent. Some peppers had spice but it wasn't too bad. For entrees, we ordered the tagliatelle Alfredo and the ricotta/pesto pizza. Pure excellence. We added a nice Pinot noir to our meal which was perfect. The service and ambiance was great too. All in all, it was a lovely evening at this well known West Austin gem.

The best spots to eat at are under the umbrellas out front, facing South Congress Street. You won't wait long for a slice. Check out the Brooklyn mural inside. My favorite thing about this place, other than this pizza, is the Willie Nelson mural. The toppings are about what you'd expect- the pepperoni is not heaped like a meatlover's pizza or something obnoxious- more thoughtfully and tastefully placed. There aren't strange flavors like sheep's cheese and apple, like you might expect to find on some Austin pizzas. Instead, it's just margherita, cheese, pepperoni for the to go. (I think...)

We waited maybe 20 minutes to order then another 45 minutes for food, which wasn't that bad for a busy Friday night. We were crowded outside, and we didn't really have enough table or chair space. That's to be expected when we descended upon the restaurant with such a large group. For six people, we ordered three pizzas to share. We definitely could have shared with more people because we had some pizza left over. We got The Works, Shroomin' Goat, and Texas Chicken Ranch pizzas. The Texas Chicken Ranch was by far our favourite. It was really good, while the other two were alright. The crust was weirdly bubbly and amorphous looking. There was a lot of crust. The Works was okay. The sauce and meat weren't particularly tasty. The Shroomin' Goat was a vegetarian pizza with a lot of arugula, which is not my type of pizza, but our vegetarian friend said it was okay. Great vibes at Pinthouse overall though, and I have enjoyed their other pizzas in the past.

There is nothing more delectable than their unique and unbelievable slices of pizza. On top of that, their Caesar salad, and everything else in between is incredible as well. The only "issue" with Allday in Hyde Park is that you are always waiting in line. Their location in Hyde Park is their second location and is their most popular by far. Though the wait in line at any hour is worth it. Sometimes you just don't want to make that commitment. That's where their location in Terrytown shows up as the true superstar. Located right off of Lake Austin, the Allday Pizza is attached to Flo's Wine Bar and Bottle Shop as a walk up window. There isn't a lot of parking at Flo's, but plenty of free street parking right next to Allday on Pecos Street. What is crazy is that when we walked in at 12:15 PM on Sunday, might I add, there was no line to order. Plenty of people going to town on their pizza, but no line to order. This was incredible. In Hyde Park, a 12:15 PM arrival would mean a 1:30 PM meal. Not here! The outdoor space is shaded and well covered which was great for a rainy day like today was. You can also sit inside Flo's with your pizza and enjoy some wine alongside it. You can do no wrong here! Another reason I wanted to go to the Terrytown location was because unlike Hyde Park, they serve by the slice cuts of the Cacio E Pepe that I've been dying to try. After our order, we grabbed some plates, cups of water and napkins, and our food was ready in mere seconds. I had a slice of the Stracciatella, the Pep & Pepp, and of course, the Cacio E Pepe. The Stracciatella is creamy and delightful and the Pep & Pepp has a minor kick but really balances against the Stracciatella. The Cacio E Pepe was fantastic. No tomato sauce, but the peppery flavor (that you would expect in a cheese and pepper pizza) was outstanding. It tasted like a well done sauce on crust. My girlfriend got a Tomato Tomatoe that I tried a bite of and was impressed. The lemon pepper panko is just like the one included in the MVP Caesar Salad and it really did a lot of heavy lifting in the slice because it is simply so incredible. The salad which I got a bite of is delectable. How do the greens taste so fresh? Why is the dressing so delightful? It's still the best Caesar I've ever had. Because there was no line, we indulged a bit and got a Dirt Cup to share for dessert. It consisted of their Dark Chocolate Soft Serve, chocolate sauce, an Oreo crumble made in-house, and gummy worms. The soft serve gelato is nuts. I haven't had it at the Hyde location and this was my first impression. What a star on its own. I have not had a single bad menu item at Allday. You can't go wrong. Hyde Park's location might feel a little more sophisticated with its beautiful architecture, full bar with wines, cocktails, and beers on draft, and a little bit more expansive of a menu, but the Terrytown location feels a little more peaceful. It is in a beautiful area of Austin and the ability to arrive and be done with a meal in about 45 minutes is magical. I think Allday in Terrytown might take over the Hyde Park location as my favorite restaurant in Austin, but it's a close race like debating if Wemby or SGA deserves the MVP more. Both are ceiling raisers and the best food you can have in Austin. RIYL: The best food you can have in Austin with little to no wait.
