    Bun rieu
    David H.

Can't believe I've never been here before. I was nearby at golden gardens and randomly started craving bun bo hue, so I did a quick search for a nearby joint. Came across Green Tree, which specializes in both viet + Chinese cuisine. Came in and was seated immediately.... Then I saw they had bun rieu on the menu so da game plan switched up IMMEDIATELY (iykyk). Then I had to do it with the banh xeo and shooooot I'm glad I did. Yall the prices are SOLID here... and so are the serving sizes + taste. Do yourselves a favor and slide thru.

Small, delicious Vietnamese restaurant in a cute neighborhood! We stopped in on a cold rainy night and enjoyed the beef noodle soup and spring rolls, which were great! The spring rolls were fresh and delicious, and the pho was simple but exactly what I needed. The service was a bit slow and our food didn't come out until after a couple tables that ordered after us. But otherwise everything was good, so i'll just assume it was an off night for them and would certainly give it another try!

Ever since Green Leaf closed its doors we've looked for a viable alternative- and it looks like we found it. Vermicelli and pork were delicious and full of veggies. Spring rolls were most excellent. This place has great old school vibes and I can't wait to come back for the scallion pancakes and other delicacies. Prices were great and portions are large.

Quaint little viet/Chinese place in greenlake. We came in for weekend lunch and were seated right away. Their menu first of all, is ginormous. There is so much variety even within just the viet section. I appreciated that. The service was also super quick and nice. I ordered the spring rolls with grilled meat and the lotus salad with grilled chicken. The spring rolls were okay, but wish there was more meat/meat more flavorful. It was overpowered by the noodles and vegetables. The lotus salad was really good. Baby lotus root is always a fun texture, and it's very nicely pickled with fish sauce. The grilled chicken wasn't bad either. Overall, an average viet restaurant. Maybe best of its kind in the immediate greenlake area.

    Pho with extra noodles
    Robert S.

I got pho meatballs and well done beef with extra noodles, sweet and sour pork and a side of rice and ice Thai tea. The pho comes in one side and I was sure if I wanted the chili sauce since it's either homemade or not but it look in color light , not it's usually deep red. Even though the pho had what look like steam from it the person I was with said , it looks hot. I replied it's not and put my pinky in it, I get it times are tough and business need to survive, it's to me was like a college place. Where the locals can get some Asian type food without driving miles away, they only have 12 or so tables and it get busy quickly with I think two are running the place, so hats off for trying , btw they forgot the the tea

Grill combo, pork bahn mi, sugarcane prawns, rare beef pho
    Mike N.

I decided to drive north to try this restaurant. It's located approximately 40 minutes from SeaTac Airport and shown quite a bit on social media. There is very little street parking in the area, so you'll probably end up paying. The interior is quite small, so you may have to wait a bit for a table if they're busy. I went around 2 pm on a Sunday, so there were a few open tables. They were cool with us ordering a bunch of items and sharing, even gave us small bowls to split the pho. The worker should really write down the orders, though. She forgot twice and came back to ask... and still forgot my iced coffee The sugarcane prawns were the only thing I probably wouldn't get again. The bahn mi was average, but under $8. The pho broth was tasty and the bowl was like $13. The grill combo was ok, I think we should have asked for rice paper to roll it in with rice noodles.

    Diana C.

The food was good. I had an app and then ordered the bahn mi as an entree (it's definitely big enough to be one). The menu is pretty big and there's quite a few vegetarian options and also probably a couple vegan ones. The server was polite and friendly, though she didn't really check in too much. It was pretty quiet with only a few other tables. No AC but it wasn't too warm today in the 70s. I'd probably order the pho instead next time and see how that is, as my friend had the beef pho and said it was pretty good.

Dropped by after a long morning of holiday shopping looking for a warm bowl of noodle soup. Started with a savory and crunchy Vietnamese pancake - very shareable portion stuffed with veggies and shrimp. Followed by a medium sized bowl of pho- tasty broth, good rare beef and plenty of noodles. Left warmed and satisfied- would return next time I'm in the neighborhood

Tried this spot and everything was just alright. We were seated instantly, bout half full when we got there, and the service was nice enough. Things were decently priced with a bowl of pho and bun bo hue under 15 each, but I thought they both tasted eh. The pho when I got it wasn't hot, just warm and that was weird. It doesn't have classic cuts like tripe which it does say on the menu but thought it was weird, I thought the pho broth was just a little light. Overall just okay. The bun bo hue I thought was also not very flavorful and a bit bitter, would skip that one here. Banh xeo was just alright I felt like it wasn't as filled as I wanted and had mainly beansprouts compared to the meats. For the price it's just fine. We also got a strawberry lemon drink and they totally forgot to give it to us and I had to ask about it when we were halfway done with our meal.

    Alex N.

Wow I found a steal! $7.50 for a banh xeo?! Crazy! It was delicious, while it wasn't the best banh xeo I've had, I'd get it again and again for the price. I highly recommend and they have a huge menu with great prices! I'd come back!

Delicious pho! So hard to find places that have seafood pho...usually most only offer prawns so I was delighted to get some squid in my pho which is my favorite! My seafood pho was flavorful and yummy. An affordable cozy place to stop for a hot meal. Table seating available. Service isn't rude but isn't super friendly either. The only words uttered to me was thank you as I was walking out the door. Arrival and taking my order no words were spoken to me at all and no smile. However the service was attentive and I was given all the sauces and condiments needed so it didn't bother me. As long as service isn't bad I don't mind the lack of talking. Food was good so I would definitely return. Prices are affordable and food is satisfying. I would recommend Green Tree if you're in the area :)

Green Tree Vietnamese Restaurant (Greenwood, Seattle) A reliable local favorite with a big menu and friendly faces. This cozy spot has a huge variety on the menu and everything we've tried delivers consistent, tasty comfort without breaking the bank. It's the kind of place you pop into for a casual bite, not a blow-your-mind adventure in Vietnamese cuisine, and that's just fine. In the height of summer, it can get quite warm inside since there's no air conditioning, which is common in some older Seattle restaurants. In winter, you might just leave your coat on at the table, adding to the laid-back, practical vibe. What keeps me coming back is the dependable food and the genuinely pleasant staff. Service is warm, helpful, and no-fuss, just as a neighborhood favorite should be.

Food is amazing! Don't hesitate to try it! I'm so glad I walked in and will definitely be coming back! The service is fast and friendly and the ambiance is adorable. The only thing I would change would be the live plants I have allergies to pollen it was a bit tough with the door opened and live plants! But totally worth it! Try it out you'll love it. I ordered the tamarind drink, salt pepper shrimp, hot and sour soup and some wings to go! Plenty of parking in this area too,

We showed up with half our party since the rest of our group had a hard time looking for parking, but they sat us right away and didn't give us a hard time at all. The decor is cute - darker lighting with spotlight on their cultural elements. Not gonna lie, when a restaurant over emphasizes its Asian decor, usually I have pretty low expectations for the food since it will likely be Americanized. This place proved me wrong! Their menu was a mix of Cantonese dishes, Taiwanese elements, Shanghainese dumplings and noodles, and Szechuan mala flavors. We probably over ordered but seriously enjoyed all the dishes. From most to least favorite: - Ginger & Scallion Fish Fillets: Sooooo fragrant and honey. LOVE! - Typhoon Shelter Beef Short Ribs: The fried garlic seasoning is fantastic, usually seen with crab or seafood but with short ribs it was excellent and super flavorful too - Black Truffle Wagyu Fried Rice: A pretty big portion for the price! The aroma of the truffle was fantastic but not overpowering - Half Hong Kong Style Honey Roast Duck: Hard to find good roast duck in the US so was happy to see it in the menu, skin was crispy and flavorful and the sauce was authentic as well. A tad too salty if I were to be nitpicky which is why it's not higher on the list - Traditional Kurobuta Pork Soup Dumplings: Good but not standout, not the star of the show compared to places that specialize in dumpings - Stir-Fry Green Beans: A little bland, can skip The Hong Kong Style iced lemon tea is just okay, but it's hard finding one truly authentic around here. Still enjoyed it! For the price point, ambiance, and quality of food, I was blown away and highly recommend!
