The food is good, but not great. There is definitely a language barrier as we asked for a table of 6 and they couldn't accommodate us. Reason being, there was a customer waiting for take-out at a four top table next to another table. She didn't ask that person to move and we had to wait until she got her take out before she moved thr tables together. Beyond that, she couldn't answer our questions. We ordered a soda lemonade and it tasted like water with fruit. We told her its not soda and completely flat, plus it was a lime floating in the glass and barely any lemon flavor. She mumbled something and never came back. We had to flag her down to remove it from our table and bill. Beyond that, we ordered a rare pho that was pretty small, a bun cunh noodle, and 5 other dishes. Again, it was good but not great. Won't be back. Vietnamese iced coffee was the best item. read more

I saw the glowing reviews and immediately decided to head over. The place is small but it wasn't too crowded and I was able to get seated quickly. Server was nice and concise. There seem to be no AC running in the restaurant. It was one of those warmer nights for Seattle summer, and some people probably wouldn't go with pho with weather like that. But luckily my seat was located closest to the entrance which was left open, so I didn't have to sweat it out while I had my pho. I had the rare beef pho and was happy with the generous potion. The meat was thicker than expected but tender and flavorful. The pho broth was more on the saltier side than sweet which I prefer. Overall, it was a perfect bowl of pho. I decided to drive north to try this restaurant. It's located approximately 40 minutes from SeaTac Airport and shown quite a bit on social media. There is very little street parking in the area, so you'll probably end up paying. The interior is quite small, so you may have to wait a bit for a table if they're busy. I went around 2 pm on a Sunday, so there were a few open tables. They were cool with us ordering a bunch of items and sharing, even gave us small bowls to split the pho. The worker should really write down the orders, though. They have a big menu and good prices. The restaurant is on the small side and the ambiance is just okay, so I will stick with takeout. Quaint little viet/Chinese place in greenlake. We came in for weekend lunch and were seated right away. Their menu first of all, is ginormous. There is so much variety even within just the viet section. I appreciated that. The service was also super quick and nice. I ordered the spring rolls with grilled meat and the lotus salad with grilled chicken. The spring rolls were okay, but wish there was more meat/meat more flavorful. It was overpowered by the noodles and vegetables. The lotus salad was really good. Baby lotus root is always a fun texture, and it's very nicely pickled with fish sauce. I got pho meatballs and well done beef with extra noodles, sweet and sour pork and a side of rice and ice Thai tea. The pho comes in one side and I was sure if I wanted the chili sauce since it's either homemade or not but it look in color light , not it's usually deep red. Even though the pho had what look like steam from it the person I was with said , it looks hot. I replied it's not and put my pinky in it, I get it times are tough and business need to survive, it's to me was like a college place. The food was good. I had an app and then ordered the bahn mi as an entree (it's definitely big enough to be one). The menu is pretty big and there's quite a few vegetarian options and also probably a couple vegan ones. The server was polite and friendly, though she didn't really check in too much. It was pretty quiet with only a few other tables. No AC but it wasn't too warm today in the 70s. Things were decently priced with a bowl of pho and bun bo hue under 15 each, but I thought they both tasted eh. The pho when I got it wasn't hot, just warm and that was weird. It doesn't have classic cuts like tripe which it does say on the menu but thought it was weird, I thought the pho broth was just a little light. Overall just okay. The bun bo hue I thought was also not very flavorful and a bit bitter, would skip that one here. Banh xeo was just alright I felt like it wasn't as filled as I wanted and had mainly beansprouts compared to the meats. For the price it's just fine. Delicious pho! So hard to find places that have seafood pho...usually most only offer prawns so I was delighted to get some squid in my pho which is my favorite! My seafood pho was flavorful and yummy. An affordable cozy place to stop for a hot meal. Table seating available. Service isn't rude but isn't super friendly either. The only words uttered to me was thank you as I was walking out the door. Arrival and taking my order no words were spoken to me at all and no smile. However the service was attentive and I was given all the sauces and condiments needed so it didn't bother me. As long as service isn't bad I don't mind the lack of talking. Fam, I will admit I did a double take when I saw the prices. $11-12 for a good portioned size bowl of pho? Sign me up! The appetizers are expensive tho so is the drinks but still not bad compared to most places. I ordered fresh spring rolls with pork (they put BBQ pork in it) and shrimp. I didn't expect the crunchy stick in it (it kind of overpowered the shrimp and pork which is weird). But the peanut sauce is great! Not too rich and not too fish-saucey either (I love fish sauce and peanuts but I do be looking for that perfect balance of both when it comes to the sauce), the sauce has peanut pieces in it as well which I like. I ordered tendon and meatball pho, the broth is mild but it has a slight umami taste and it came out hot and cooked the noodles and veggies just right. Pho only comes in one sized bowl but the bowl is around medium/large size depending on what pho places you've been. I think this might be one, if not, the cheapest pho I've found when it comes to portion:price ratio (it's just a tiny bit cheaper than Pho Vietnam, another good cheap pho place but their broth comes out lukewarm). But they do skimp a bit on meat, I didn't get much tendon and meatballs but $11 for this amount of pho is still hard to beat especially in Seattle. For drinks I ordered their pickled lemonade.. it's made in-house, and it tasted like someone put some butter in a lemon-tasted ice water lol but I'm glad I've tried it since I've never seen it in other places before. The food also came out quick despite dinner rush, they usually leave you alone after that until it's time to pay. There's a limited amount of tables and the most I've seen seated is 4 people in a table so not sure if this place is ideal for 4-5+ crowd. The ambience is nothing special and the place is small but they do have a nice looking Christmas tree just in time for holidays. Overall you can get a meal for under $20, I got fresh rolls, meatball and tendon pho and pickled lemonade drink+taxes for $25, that's usually the price of getting just pho + taxes without appetizers around here! Im a struggling broke b and in this economy who isn't so I'll be back to try more of their noodle soups, particularly the bun bo hue (I don't like mine with pork blood and hocks anyway... Super cute Vietnamese restaurant in Seattle! Was recommended to us by a local and it did not disappoint. They have a comprehensive menu of beef soups, egg soups, noodle soups and many appetizers, among other things. There are vegan options available! We ordered our food to-go and all of our (4) meals came out super quick! I was impressed with and grateful for the timely service. I got the brisket beef soup, and once I added the hoisin and chili sauce it was HEAVAN! This is by far one the best pho/beef soup dishes I have ever tried. I would also like to compliment their vegetarian spring rolls; the sauce that came with them was so delicious, probably a peanut sauce. The roll had bean sprouts, crunchies, tofu and lettuce wrapped together and it just tasted perfect with the sauce. Would recommend trying out the next time you visit north Seattle. This is the best restaurant in the area. There's little Greenwood/Crownhill area sometimes makes me feel like it's not that nice of a spot to grab food anywhere. But thankfully to the spot, you may have some thing worth stopping for! I tried the spot for the first time tonight, just a simple bowl of pho, and if they can do that well, I am confident that they must do other things well. The service was extremely quick and accommodating. The restaurant itself was very clean, and seem to be running rather efficiently. Green Tree in the Greenwood neighborhood (north of Phinney Ridge) is a no-nonsense homey Vietnamese and Chinese restaurant that is an approachable neighborhood gem. I found it via Yelp after visiting the Woodland Park Zoo Wildlanterns display; they open later than nearby restaurants adding to the convenience factor. We called when we were leaving the zoo; our party of seven readily seated upon arrival. All seven of us were happy with our food; the Vietnamese dishes do visually look more on point than the Chinese dishes. Service is also no-nonsense; separating the check was done at the register despite asking them to separate our check during ordering. We did have a confusion of an added noodles side that weren't specifically ordered by any of us. That was the one hiccup. Otherwise, all our food arrived in a timely manner. Lettuce, tofu, jicama, basil, crispy stick (fried wonton skin) The jicama and the fried wonton skin provide the necessary texture to make this vegetarian roll a winner. The flavor is primarily from the sauce. A good alternative to the typical shrimp and pork roll. Tamarind Soda, $4.25 - 4 Stars I ordered it mostly wondering what it is. They said it is house made.
