Great spot for pho and banh mi in the Roosevelt neighborhood. Their broth is flavorful without being too salty, and their brisket is very tender. My dinner buddy really enjoyed their vegetarian pho broth with tofu and vegetables. They're really generous with the vegetables and have a good variety! There is a pretty significant difference in size between the small and large size pho, and only a dollar difference, so if you're hungry it's worth getting the large. Veggie spring rolls are great, and tofu banh mi is excellent as well. read more

However, today may have been an off day for the team and there were a few new faces. After a long day of work, I just wanted grab food and go home. I ordered takeout for my family's dinner tonight, and unfortunately, the portion sizes were inconsistent. The beef curry and chicken curry were only half-full containers, and the three large orders of rice were also barely half-full. Additionally, the spring rolls appeared fresh, but their quality was questionable. It may have been an off day, and certainly a couple of new staff. However, it was disappointing considering the usual quality of their food and price point. Before writing this review, I had already prepared the curries in a pan. Therefore, they are not pictured. An Nam Pho is a great neighborhood option. The Pho has a very satisfying broth taste and aroma, and the streak & tripe I picked for my bowl was of good quality. Given the price point and "Large" size I ordered, I wouldn't have minded a few more pieces of protein. The noodles, however, seemed endless! The surprise star were the fried eggrolls. These were stuffed with an outstanding shrimp and pork blend. I'd honestly stop in for an order of these to go as a quick snack... I used to pass by this place all the time when I'd hit that Roosevelt LA Fitness but this was the first time actually checkin em out. Dined in and ordered a large brisket+meatball pho, which was pretty solid (esp factoring in size + quality + price). Definitely a better option than a lot of other pho spots in the u district area. They also offer other dishes e.g. bunbohue, rice dishes, banhmi, vermicelli, etc etc. almost got their bunbohue but the worker said it doesn't include that good ol blood so I opted for pho instead. NGL, towards the end of my meal, I saw someone order a vermicelli bowl and so I had to get one to go lmaoooo. IMO their vermicelli was a bit better than their pho but. First time coming here and the portion was huge! Pictured are two large pho, only $14 each. I love how there's different broths to choose from. They even gave us complimentary fried egg rolls which was nice and fresh and had taro inside. This place was clean and quiet. I'd say for the price and quick service this is definitely worth a visit if you're in the Roosevelt area or need a good hangover pho for cheap. $13 for a large pho I feel like is a great deal for prices these days. Fried rolls were okay but not something you absolutely need to order. The Banh Mi was really good for the price. I forgot to see if you can add egg which is probably extra, but for $8 and a good size to eat then or save for a late snack I would recommend buying with the pho. I picked up some pho for my sick partner and I and this absolutely hit the spot for us. Our order arrived very quickly, about 10 minutes and the staff were super friendly! We got two large portions of pho but truthfully, one order would've been enough to feed the both of us. I'm lying in bed very excited to have pho again tomorrow. The steak was super super tender and I'd even consider getting an extra portion next time. The broth is very aromatic and what I'm used to in terms of pho broths-- didn't even need to add any addition condiments since it was already so flavorful. This place is really, really good. Everything you want from a pho joint. Classic decor with fish tanks, dim lighting and excellent food. We came on a rainy day and there were about 5-6 other tables occupied. I got the steak and brisket pho, my partner got bun bo hue - we also split some spring rolls. Everything was excellent. This is my neighborhood Vietnamese restaurant and I've come here a couple times for both dine-in and take-out. An Nam is conveniently located near the Roosevelt light rail station. They serve authentic Vietnamese cuisine and sell Thai food as well. Their prices are pretty good compared to other places that I've seen in the Seattle area (not even just for Vietnamese food but in general). In the past I've ordered the large steak and brisket pho ($10.95) as well as the grilled pork vermicelli noodles ($10.95). The meat on the pho was good and the broth was flavorful. The grilled pork in the vermicelli bowl was very tender. Both were great deals for the price and some of their other dishes like their banh mi were also solid. The times I dined in, we were seated away quickly and received good service. The food came out quickly and the staff was always friendly. I was out shopping in the area, saw the reviews, so thought I'd give it a try. Lunch hour, place was probably about half-full. Not a bad sign. I ordered the Chicken Pho (with chicken broth), and a Thai tea, for take-out. The young woman working the counter was new and made a small mistake. I didn't notice it, but the other person working the counter politely corrected her. No big, really. However, it was nice to see how polite they were to each other. The same with me too. I sat down to wait for my order, expecting to wait 5-10 minutes. Nope. I barely had time to sit, and the food was ready and brought to where I was sitting. I don't know how they could possibly have made it that fast. The woman was all smiles at my astonishment. Anyway, I got home, opened it all up, prepped a bowl for the noodles, the chicken, the various veggies and sauces, the lime, and the broth, and had myself one very nice meal. Very interesting lunch at An Nam Pho. Well, we went for the pho, what the name tells they should be pro at. Somehow, Pho did come except there was no side of fresh basil , bean sprouts, jalapeño and lime. It's not that such plates were not prepared and sitting at the counter. Not that we were there during busy times. I guess, it just didn't occur to them what they are supposed to serve with a large order of pho. Sorry, folks, that's a reason for one less star. Polite and courteous team of young men taking care of the restaurant, customers and take out orders. These days most of such restaurants are so busy and making their $$$ on take out that dining in customer really don't matter. Do you experience the same? Well, you are not alone. Needed a place to eat while I was in the area and found this to comfort our hunger. In a group of 5, we all ordered different types of pho. Except one ordered chicken teriyaki. I ordered the steak and tripe pho, small. We all ordered smalls, but they were bigger than we all expected. The broth wasnt watered down and had flavor. Was a bit short on meat than noodles. More generous on the noodles than the meat. The teriyaki was coated with sauce, but didnt drown the meat. Overall, we will come back here again. Good pho to enjoy for dinner. read more
