Last time the Pho was to die for, today lackluster flat note flavor not sure what happened. Tastes like and and looks like dirty water absolutely no flavor. It's like they ran out of spices or something.I tried to enhance the flavor with some plum sauce didn't work definitely will not be coming back. At one time they had the best tasting Pho in the greater Seattle area. Today no so much. M wife and I had driven all the way from Gig Harbor to enjoy it. Really Sad real let down. read more

I haven't been to Market Pho in a while and I was craving something salty again after my long run, so I decided to go. I was happy to find out that they expanded their beverage menu to include fruit tea and boba!! They told us it's their first day with the new boba offerings. I was actually thinking about stopping by DIY tea after Market Pho so I was happy that I can get both boba and pho at Market Pho. I was very curious about the drinks, so I ordered peach tea with my pho and got brown sugar boba to go, when I was checking out. I like my fruit tea sweet (like not too crazy sweet but something that I don't feel like I'm drinking regular unsweetened ice tea with a whiff of fruit somewhere) and it was just the right level of sugar. The drink is giant (16oz -- it's probably not for other people but it is big to me) but the fruit tea went well with pho, and I was very thirsty so I downed it fast. I also liked they put pieces of canned peach and they stuck a long plastic spoon in the drink so that you can scoop out the peach and eat them. It's fun. I didn't have high hopes for the brown sugar boba but they got it right. It's a lot of drinks but I'm just going to say it's going to be my study snack for the night. The texture of brown sugar pearls is great but there's a room for improvement - some of the syrup did not integrate well with milk so I got some goopy pieces of syrup in my mouth, so it would be nice if the drink has a more smooth mouthfeel. But it tastes just fine, actually better than DIY, so I'm definitely coming back for more. People at Market Pho are lovely and I think that's also why I keep returning to the restaurant. Hands down the best pho restaurant I've been to in a long while! Market Pho in Ballard has a great location near transit and other shops, and finding parking is easy. The pho itself is exceptional, and the staff took time to guide me through the menu and help me choose the perfect dish. What really sets this place apart is the customer service. After landing from a long flight dealing with travel delays from government shutdowns, I arrived pretty frazzled. Andy went above and beyond by kindly letting me charge my phone while I enjoyed my meal. That kind of thoughtfulness makes all the difference. They also have TVs for watching sports games, making it a great spot whether you're dining solo or with friends. In addition, I overheard an homeless guy ask Andy for a cup of broth because he was hungry, without second thought Andy fed him. By all means, give this place a try you will not be disappointed! read more

I ordered bun bo hue and it wasn't the traditional one that you will get with the blood cubes and pork feet in it. It was just a regular spicy noodle soup with some sliced meats only. I was very disappointed with the ingredients. However, the food comes out very fast, but also the food gets cold pretty fast. I guess they do not cook the noodle with its soup, they may just pre-cook the noodle and add the hot soup? Staffs were very friendly and working efficiently. The restaurant looks very clean and has plenty of seats so there was no waiting time to be seated. I would recommend if you don't care how delicious the noodle soup is but just want a decent meal with fast serving and not breaking the bank. read more

So happy there's a good Vietnamese restaurant in Ballard! Thanh Brothers is gone and now it's Market Pho and I'm glad about that. I never ate at Thanh Brothers because I generally don't eat pho. I know, I know, don't yell at me. I just don't eat soup much. I'm a dry food kind of person. So I was thrilled when Market Pho appeared and I saw that their menu included dry dishes along with the pho! I enjoyed my lunch of rolls: fresh rolls with tofu and peanut sauce and an order of super crispy pork egg rolls. My hubs devoured his chicken banh mi that came with a hot toasted baguette. It crunched when he bit into it! The vibe felt very casual and family friendly. Really liked that there were several Vietnamese families in there having lunch and chatting with what I think may have been the owner. Service was friendly, thoughtful, and fast. Overall, Market Pho was a great place for a good meal in downtown Ballard. We look forward to going back and trying more of their dishes! read more

The service was great and the food was excellent. My vegetarian pho was delicious and well seasoned, which is rare for veggie broths. I will absolutely be back here! It smelled amazing when we walked in so I knew we made the right choice. It was maybe a little chilly by the window but the pho warmed me up and they have multiple sizes which is nice. read more

I've been getting let down by my go to Pho spot, Than Brothers lately so I tried something new and Market Pho did not disappoint. I ordered Spring Rolls and a Large rare beef and brisket Pho for pick up and the bill came to $28ish dollars. This is a little pricey. The spring rolls were half the size I'm used to but the price was comparable, because it was also less than what I am used to. So I'm good with that. The broth was really good. They could've included more plum and spicy sauce. 1 little packet each for a large. C'mon guys! I even asked for more in the "Special Notes" of my online order. Growing up in Washington gave me a great love for Pho- it's what I eat weekly. I've been spoiled and have had some amazing pho on the Eastside in the last decade- so when I recently moved to Ballard I knew my #1 mission was to find the best Pho spot in my neighborhood so I could continue my weekly indulgences. Market pho is a 3 minute walk from my condo and the first spot I decided to try out on this pho journey. So glad I did. Quick service, a ton of seating (you can go with a group or solo- I went solo and listened to podcasts while eating), and most importantly- THE BROTH IS GOOD AND THEY HAVE TENDON! Absolutely will be a regular here. The only thing I think would be helpful to new customers is letting them Know that when you're done eating you just go up to the front to pay. read more

We found this place on a date-day in Seattle. We are big pho eaters and have tried many different places - this one is definitely in the "really good" category! They had 4 size options which we loved because the small was perfect for a lunch-size meal and the taste was great! The staff were super friendly and the ambiance was welcoming and bright. Their fresh rolls were pretty good too. Honestly the only thing I didn't love was the bathroom, which wasn't terrible, just not super clean. great pho, food was made very quickly, and server was very welcoming and sweet. they have different sizes for their bowls of pho while i loved; a small was perfect for lunch and i would get a medium or large if i knew i wanted to bring home leftovers. very reasonable prices as well. will definitely come again!! read more

Maybe I picked up on an off day because the reviews for this place are positive but I found the broth flavorless. Also, not enough broth for the noodles in my opinion. This pho business is delicious the soup broth is light and full of flavor. Rich and not salty. Hot soup in summer oh yes. it's refreshing filling but doesn't bog the energy. This business was acquired after the previous owner retired bringing new items to the menu. Hanh makes the beautiful broth simmered for two days.
