    Crispy garlic chicken
    Alan Z.

Been here twice and had drastically different experiences both of the times. I ate in and it was decent. Got the crispy garlic chicken and the food came out oddly fast like they had already prepared it and just needed to plate it. Quantity was good and veggies seemed pretty fresh. Rice was small and expensive though so I was like okay might as well go again and order take out so I can make rice at home. I got the orange beef and it tasted okay but the amount of food was half of how much I got in the restaurant. So my suggestion is to eat in the restaurant but not order rice.

Great service and well suited for large lunch parties. Service was quick and friendly. Food was delicious and the restaurant provides large portions.

Amazing Mom&Pop restaurant- run by a wife&husband duo wh oare so sweet. She is very kind always and even remembers my favorite orders. I love that they have great flavors and prices that are affordable for all of us during this time. They partner with some delivery apps but we have found ordering by phone to pick up has been the best option for us. You must try their Pad See Ew, Green Curry entree and we love their Cashew Chicken but have also enjoyed Pad Thai there - perfectly sweet&savory combo. Highly recommend.

"Special Noodles" with spinach, shrimp and peanut sauce...yum !

Our Saturday lunch at the Royal Palm was a delight. The food, the service, the ambience...all were excellent! The restuarant is very clean and the tables are set beautifully. The quiet atmosphere and view of the street below gives great character to the dining area. We ordered the Royal Palm Special Noodles (wide rice noodles with spinach and peanut sauce and choice of meat or seafood). I had shrimp, my wife had scallops. The table salad was lettuce and juliened carrot, radish and carrot-ginger dressing; crisp and cold and fresh. The contrast of hot noodles and shrimp on rice was heaven! If course we had Thai-iced-tea to round out the meal. I believe the server was also the owner, she was so attentive and up-beat, just a joy to talk to. She said there is parking underneath the restaurant, and suggested we come back on Sunday when the full evening menu is served all day. We definitely will be back! Food quality, freshness, presentation; restaurant cleanliness, decor, character and atmosphere, attentive service with enthusiasm...what more could anyone ask for ??? - 5-Stars for sure!

Pad Thai, Royal Palm Special Noodles and Cashew Chicken to go

Been to this place quite a few times over the years, but don't really have a strong impression. We ordered 3 most popular dishes to on their menu, and still is not impressed. Their Pad Thai is missing the red color and flavor. The Royal Palm Special Noodles is mushy and coated peanut sauce on top of raw spinach. After a few bites, taste kind of gross. Cashew Chicken is ok, nothing to write home about. I guess my final experience will end here.

We got a matcha float with mochi and a hojicha float with mochi. We love the hojicha better. The matcha is prob one of the better I've tasted, but not often you can find hojicha ice cream and milk tea. It was creamy and mildly sweet. So good, refreshing and satisfying! The mochi were ok. It was very bland and not sweet at all. I do prefer my mochi to have a little sweetness to them, like a sweet bite. This was like chewing a bigger non sweet boba ball. So I'd pass on the mochi here and maybe do all ice cream. If ever we're in Seattle would visit again. Update: we came here a few yrs later. The drinks were still good as ever. My husband got a frappe and loved it. We had a salmon bowl which was decent. Not something I would order again here but we were so hungry from traveling and meeting friends, we needed some food. This time no line out the door. We got a seat inside. We came in June this yr, nice weather outside but inside was super hot as they did not run the AC. They had the windows/doors open but no breeze and mosquitos were inside attacking. I can't imagine a good breeze when the cafe is wedged btw two huge buildings. It made our visit this time very stifling.

This comes in a very large cup, with layers of matcha ice cream, cornflakes, vanilla whippedd cream, and mochi at the bottom. I'll be honest that the matcha ice cream wasn't my favorite. I'm not a huge fan of matcha in general, but I have had examples where the sweetness balances with the earthiness better - and this felt like it leaned too much into the earthiness side of it. It just tasted off when mixed with everything else. What was exceptional, though, was the second and third layers. Mixing the cornflakes with the vanilla whipped cream/yogurt layer was awesome. The crunchy texture provided with the creamy vanilla flavor really worked - and it felt like what the essence of a parfait is with the textural and flavor contrast. I think I would've liked this a lot more if the top had been vanilla ice cream instead - submitting a request to have that as an option on the menu. This was pretty expensive. It cost 14 dollars for a single parfait. That's just a crazy amount. I know it's pretty big, but it's simply overpriced. Overall, it's a decent but not very practical dessert. 5.5/10

We got two chicken sandwiches - original and southern bird (a bit spicy). Both delicious and generous servings, but also be warned they're messy to eat! They cut them in half for us so they were easy to share. Much appreciated. Also got strips (comes with curly fries and your choice of two sauces). And an extra order of curly fries that def wasn't necessary for our fam of 4 (2 adults, 4 yr old, and 2 yr old). I got a white peach sangria slushie, too. Not the biggest serving, but tasty! All that ran me just over $70 including tax and small tip as of July 2026. Not a bad deal, and we came home with leftovers!

It 100% lives up to the hype- amazing double fried chicken sandwiches and even more amazing ice cream! I love the different variations of chicken sandwiches they have. We tried the original which had their delicious herbaceous green sauce/aioli and the Homer which tasted so fresh with the veggies and whipped garlic sauce that accompany the fried chicken. The curly fries are a must if you're here & looking for a savory snack. The ice cream is a must, too! We particularly loved the seasonal miso caramel and wish it wasn't only seasonal. There was a line out the door when we went on a weeknight, so I imagine a line is to be expected when you come by, but it moves very quickly as you order at the counter. You'll wait for the ice cream at the counter but if dining in, they'll bring the food when it's ready. I personally didn't mind having dessert first! There's some indoor seating and some outdoor seating. Super casual vibes. Service is pretty quick overall. And we love the convenience that it's right by the light rail station.

I'm usually a little…read moreskeptical of soft serve places since they often use nasty-looking mix, but I'd heard they use milk from Hokkaido, Japan, which is known for its dairy, so I came in expecting something rich -- and it absolutely delivered. They offer two flavors, Hokkaido Milk and Matcha, and I went with the swirl because I wanted the best of both worlds. I usually prefer my ice cream plain so I can focus on the flavor itself, but they do offer mochi and syrup toppings if you want to dress it up. I was actually a little surprised to see the strawberry syrup was sold out, which weirdly made me even more intrigued -- but in the end, I still stuck with the ice cream as is. The shop itself is a small pickup window attached to a larger Japanese restaurant, and it seems like a very cost-effective way to run the business. It also appeared to be operated by just two people, which made the whole operation even more impressive. When I went, there was a long line that stretched a good way down the street, but the wait moved quickly -- I spent about 15 minutes waiting to order and had my ice cream within minutes. The Hokkaido Milk was the standout for me: incredibly rich, creamy, and smooth. As someone who loves a good vanilla profile, I was very into it. The Matcha was also done really well, with just the right bitterness to balance the sweetness and complement the milk. I tried to isolate each flavor in every bite so I could appreciate them on their own, and I'm glad I did. By the time I finished, I was completely satisfied, but low-key wanted another round. I exercised great self-control though :D

I wasn't impressed by the portion size or how diluted the matcha tasted, but I still remembered enjoying the Hokkaido milk soft serve. REGULAR - 6.50 + Hokkaido Milk +2 for M.B.R (Mochi + Brown sugar syrup + Roasted soybean powder) The Hokkaido milk soft serve was smooth, creamy, and subtly milky without being overly sweet. The flavor itself is pretty mild, so I'd definitely recommend adding the M.B.R. The mochi was a bit stale, but the brown sugar syrup added a nice depth of sweetness, and the roasted soybean powder gave the soft serve a nutty, toasty flavor. These two toppings definitely elevated the soft serve for me. Overall, a quick and casual dessert spot in the area. We sat at one of the tables outside and enjoyed our soft serve.
