My friend highly recommended this spot when I was in Seattle after a cruise and it did NOT disappoint. It's a small bungalow hole-in-the-wall type of spot. Very plain and cute. There was only one man that was doing the serving and the hosting/seating, and waiting. But he did the best he could despite all the other people there. The food was chef's kiss!! Every single dish we tried was delicious. We started off with the chicken gyoza pan-fried and got 2 different fried rices, Thai basil and regular Thai. Both were 10/10, exploding with flavor and perfectly spiced (we ordered 4/5 spice). Then we got the Khao Soy, which I can't recommend enough and the chicken Kra Pow. My friend ordered the garlic lover's and one ordered the pad Thai. Every dish I tried on the table was delicious. We had zero complaints. We were given our to-go boxes and checks on time and were able to get in and out at a timely manner. I highly recommend this spot and can't wait to be back! read more

D'Jan's: Sudden bad food quality, and I was insulted when picking up. The food used to be so wonderful at D'Jan's in the past. Delicious flavors, service quick and excellent. But on a recent Sunday, my husband ordered from D'jan's via voice. He ordered three entrées, a side of fried rice, and three sticky rice desserts. Since I was already on the road after picking up our kid, I said I would also pick up the food on our way back. D'Jan's said it would be ready in 25 to 35 minutes. That was a longer timeframe than in the past, but I didn't think anything of it at the time. We arrived at the restaurant, and continued to wait for our to-go order. The dining room was empty, except for one guy drinking tea. A couple of delivery drivers picked up food too, but no one other than that. Nearly an hour after the order went in, the silver-haired man working behind the counter apologized for the long wait. Because, he said, there were "so many items in the order" (really? Three entrees, fried rice, and sticky rice?). Then our food came out, and he asked if we wanted any utensils. I asked for chopsticks. He gave me a weird sort of smirk, and said, "how many? Five?" Allow me to insert here that I'm female, over 50, and yes, I'm overweight. The health insurance I can barely afford doesn't cover GLP-1, and I can't afford to pay for it out-of-pocket. I put on extra weight WFH during and after Covid, and haven't been able to lose it, despite exercising regularly, watching portions, and obsessing over calories. Also, what we usually do with such a take-out food order is eat 1/3 of the meal, then get two more subsequent meals from the leftovers. But I hardly think that my physique or order size deserves such a thinly veiled insult. To a paying customer, no less. And before anyone says so, no, I didn't mis-read it. I've seen that look before, and I know very well what it means. Even our daughter noticed it. Thanks for the ice-cold public social example, mister--nothing like starting the cultural pressure and body-shaming examples early in life for my kid. I rolled my eyes, and said, "sure" to five sets of chopsticks--two of which I didn't need. He looked even more amused (like he'd gotten away with something), and came back with five packaged sets of chopsticks. Now, of course, one cannot know what another person is thinking, unless one can read minds. One can only observe a person's actions and listen to spoken words. Here, the smirks and comments strongly implied a great deal. When I got home, I discovered that there were only two sticky rice servings in the bag, not three. But we were charged for three. And yes, before the food came out at the restaurant, I paid and tipped generously on the total amount, with sales tax--I always do. I know I should have checked the order contents at the restaurant. But in the past, I'd had no need to. And to top it all off, the formerly delicious food from D'jan's was bland and flavorless. There was an unpleasant, dirty fryer taste to the Sweet and Sour Chicken that our daughter ordered. The pineapple fried rice smelled like feet, tasted terrible, and was missing some of the usual ingredients (like green onions, a few tomatoes, and fresh cucumber slices). This experience broke my heart, because we used to love D'jan's, and were loyal repeat customers. In the past, the food was delicious, and the service was fast and friendly. But after this sad, cruel, and not-getting-what-we-paid-for experience, we won't be back. read more

Delicious food with authentic Thai taste. I had chow mein and green curry. While chow mein is usually considered Chinese, the taste is unmistakably Thai with Thai basil. Green curry tasted as good as Thailand. Staff is very friendly and kind read more

This place should get a Michellin award for excellence and great service and food , it was worth the trip and will come back for more! Kudos to management staff read more

Fresh salad roll with peanut sauce was large fresh, crunchy and refreshing - loved it. Pad kee Mao was also excellent with fresh green beans in there, which was more special and healthy. Beef salad was a little too saucy/too much dressing. Penang curry could use more substance - felt more like soup with not much in it. Roti was okay, a little greasy but hits the spot. Pad ka prao chicken/basil/rice was okay, a little salty. read more

I was really craving Tom Kha Soup this evening. I found it to be watery with giant tough chunks of woody lemongrass. The Crab Rangoon tasted super funky. I ate one and tossed the rest out of caution. The fresh rolls were very wet. Hard pass. Update: My first time getting food poisoning. Wish I could rate this stank spot zero stars. Do not eat here. read more

Cute little spot near the U District! Very cozy and calming environment, really enjoyed the ambiance! Waiter was friendly and helpful with the menu for our group! I had the curry and it was excellent! I ordered one star and it was a bit spicier than I expected, so if you're sensitive to heat, go just a little less than you might otherwise order. But the curry was incredible! By the way, some of the dishes don't come with rice, so if you want some, you do have to order that separately for a nominal cost. Not a deal breaker, just thought I'd throw that out there so people are prepared. Definitely worth another visit! Highly recommend. read more

Charming little spot near the U District with a cozy, calming vibe, loved the ambiance! Our waiter was friendly and helpful with menu suggestions for our group. I had the curry and it was fantastic! I ordered one star, and it was spicier than expected, so if you're sensitive to heat, consider going milder. Heads up: some dishes don't come with rice, so you'll need to order it separately (small extra cost). Not a big deal, just good to know. read more

Brief: Delicious Flavors, Friendly Servers, and a Warm, Welcoming Environment This is a UW Gem, the flavors are fresh, seasoned well, and cute little location. We've been here at least half a dozen times and their offerings are pretty unique. I personally like the Roti and Satay a lot! We always order a round of Gyoza (especially at happy hour!) This time we had Pad See Eiw (beef), Yellow Curry (chicken), and Garlic Fried Rice (subbed to have brown rice with beef!) Service is overall friendly and the townhome it's built into is very comfy. You can't really hear the street either; I think you'll like it! read more

I can't support this place anymore. Not only is their building super run down & dirty looking, their food quality is waning. Their garlic lovers entree should be called "garlic protein" - as there is mostly protein only & hardly any veggies. The cabbage they've included is literally about 1 tbsp of shredded cabbage - like the type they throw on a plate for garnishing. I ended up with 3 pieces of broccoli & a ton of onion & carrot as my "veggies." read more

I just want to say I love this restaurant I order from here regularly and as a vegan you can't go wrong w their fried rice! Service was exceptional. Venue is adorable. Food, at 3 spice level, lacks a kick. Also, while the food was good anyway -- extra creamy in place of spice -- the portion was rather small. That's the main reason for only three stars -- I wanted more food in my sauce! Bottom line: Potential but please add more tofu to my sauce. Thank you. read more

This place has a cute and welcoming vibe and a pretty dining room. There is also a huge patio out back! The menu includes all of the things you are probably expecting plus a few more unusual noodle dishes. I would also say they have more veggie options than is typical at a thai place, with most of the appetizer menu being vegetarian in addition to the usual noodle and curry dishes. They also have quite an extensive salad list. On this visit, I branched out from my typical favorites to try the flat noodle with special yellow curry and was glad I resisted the urge to go for my tried & true. Overall, the dishes were flavorful, the noodles were fresh, and the dishes were not drenched in oil. Service was a little slow so this wouldn't be my pick if I were in a huge rush since that seems to be a fairly common comment. read more

The atmosphere is pleasant. I was not too impressed with the food. Seem to lack good flavors. The lettuce rolls were kind of bland and came with spicy peanut sauce. I wanted to get the dipping sauce made fish sauce and rice wine and little strips of carrots vinegar but the wait person did not seem to know what I was taking about. It is called Nam Jim Po Piah. Not saying this place is bad. It was just not all that good. read more

This really isn't a special occasion place. I regret coming here for my birthday. The owner takes no pride in the outdoor area. It is full of weeds and dead plants. There is a lot of deferred maintenance on the building. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted with a spectacular lack of enthusiasm by the man at the counter. The restaurant was completely empty. The waitress, a very pretty, petite Asian woman was efficient but rude, brisk and impatient. She frowned a lot, never smiled. All the take out activity was distracting. It wasn't a fun birthday for me. I wish we had gone somewhere else, The food is good although on the salty side. Fresh, clean, well prepared. I see why people appear to come here strictly for take out. read more

I wanted to love this place. Quaint little restaurant, aside from the black mold around the edges of the walls. Nice comfy cushions to pad the hard chairs was thoughtful. service was ok. Although I was disappointed that they had no honey for the tea. Food was NOT. My friend ordered sweet/sour chicken. It was fried so hard neither of us could bite through the outer shell, sauce flavor was mediocre at best & we were REALLY hungry so that was saying a lot. I ordered chicken satay which had a grossly thick peppery sauce on it, the peanut sauce was NOT sweet, in fact it was disgustingly tart, think it was the fact that the put the peanut sauce on a tiny dish WITH the cucumber salad & it probably ran together. Next I ordered Thai fried rice with chicken & green onions,no veggies. I guess assuming they used jasmine rice was stupid. It was sticky calrose rice, EXTREMELY BLAND with chicken that also had NO flavor whatsoever. Even though I asked for spicy level 2. For the 1st in decades I had to ask for soy sauce not ONLY for flavor, but to be able to SWALLOW the horribly dry substance. $50 later hoping the homeless ppl we donate these togo boxes to can appreciate this more than we did. Gotta be honest... will NOT be back read more

UE for the win! I tried to order from a dumpling place and they cancelled on me through the app - luckily Djan's was the next suggestion on the list and I was able to order an even more exciting meal. I was thrilled to see Char kway tiao on the noodle menu here so of course had to have that along with the crab fried rice. Both dishes were phenomenal with good flavors and presentation. Everything arrived within the hour of ordering on UE and it was hot, fresh, and oh so delicious! They did not disappoint! This will be my go-to Thai place from now on. read more

I actually discovered this place by needing a late night delivery! We ordered original Thai fried rice, sweet spicy chicken with rice, pad kee Mao and pad prik king with chicken. Ordered via DoorDash. Food tasted okay, but they skimped on protein a lot. I got pad Thai, pineapple curry and chicken wings. I ordered take out via Uber eats. I was in the mood for Pad Thai so I got that and wanted to try the Krapao. Added in the lychee cheesecake just because. I'm so happy I ordered from this place. The Pad Thai was perfect. Sometimes when I get Pad Thai take out it's dry but that wasn't the case here. The portion was large too. Flavorful, spicy and sticky! Loved it. The Krapao was good! I like that it came with over medium egg. I usually like Krapao with pork and this was with chicken but it was yummy. The only disappointment was the lychee cheesecake. It was just a plain NY cheesecake slice and was probably previously frozen. I still ate it because it was good! But it just wasn't lychee flavored or have any lychee fruit alongside it. So one star was taken off because of that. But I would def order here again when I'm in Seattle. read more

Came here on Sunday evening around 7:30 and it was still kind of busy. So that's a good sign that the food is going to be really good. Sat at a small table for two against the wall with a view of the outside window. Ordered chicken and vegetable potstickers which were good but I could order those at any Chinese restaurant and they would taste the same but at least they were crispy. For my entree I ordered "tempura" chicken in spicy sauce and I asked for them to put the sauce on the side and not on the chicken because I don't want the chicken to get soggy and it arrived with the sauce all over the chicken. When I brought it to the waitresses attention she got confused and said she'd never heard anyone ask for that and that they don't do that. (Then why didnt she tell me when I ordered it that way) I just want my crispy food to be crispy And I like to dip my food into the sauce This restaurant is down the street from my work and it's a convenient location but I wouldn't go there again. read more

My wife's siblings were hanging with us, so we made it an Uber Eats night. Got 2 chicken yellow curries, a chicken panang curry, and chicken tom yum soup; all with the lowest heat possible. We also ordered the fried veggie rolls and tofu tempura. The curries were all delicious. No complaints and the panang was so rich and smooth. The tom yum was kinda on the watery side lacking some flavor, but still decent. The tofu tempura was amazeballs. I could eat that on it's own but the sauce took it to a whole nother level. Lastly, the fried veggie rolls were just okay. They had a unique taste, almost like they had meat but were still just blah--- I still can't tell if I liked them or not but leaning towards the not. Make sure you remember to order a side of rice if you want it with your curry. I thought it came with it, so we had to scramble last minute to buy some cooked rice. But that was my bad. I actually like that they don't automatically include it, so the curry comes out a tad cheaper. read more
