salmon cho chee

super yummy food with generous portion sizes. we got the pad khee mao, salmon chee curry, and the lad nah talay. ample seafood protein with the lad nah talay and super delicious! the servers were super friendly and sweet as well. they were very accommodating even at 9pm.

Pad See Eew with Tofu

Pad see ew with tofu so luscious and smoky it could rewrite the dictionary definition of comfort food and garden delight with tofu that's crisp-tender in a way Fremont's rain clouds only wish they could be, arrived on groovy sidewalk seating perfect for people-watching and existential dread. The service was almost suspiciously kind and the ambiance made it feel like the only living room in Seattle that nobody's roommate had claimed for a podcast. The real joy here is blending into the neighborhood's parade of eccentrics while treating the taste buds to a sassy, honest Thai fix

Before you enter this restaurant. Please have a mindset to embrace a FULL authentic Thai hospitality experience. You will hear the wok roaring, staff yelling in Thai for different dishes in the open kitchen and a BIG amazing personality of the host who keep on serving us whisky at the end to thank us to accommodate the chaos during peak hours. The restaurant is a small little hut with about 10+ tables. A lot of people order for take out but make sure you bring your patience. If you want to dine in, be prepared that you have to set your own table and put your order on a napkin and pass it to the kitchen. That's ok. As in most Asian countries, that's what you do in order to enjoy good food in small family run restaurant. Food is authentic, excellent portion and great price. We ordered Spring Roll, Garlic Chicken Wing, Green Curry, Pad Thai, Pineapple Fried Rice, Pad Prik Khing, Pad Se Ew, all in spice level of 3 which is pretty dang hot. If you want mild, I would suggest 1.

Decided to try Kwanjai Thai Cuisine for lunch. It's a few steps away from Fremont Coffee Company. Dropped in on a Sunday (noon). No ambiance, no frills service. Most entrees are $12.95 USD. We opted for level 2 (medium) spice. - Brown rice ($2.00 USD) - good portion. Enough to share between two. - Massaman curry ($12.95 USD) - potatoes were a touch hard, beef slightly chewy. Liked the peanuts but curry was slightly too sweet and thin. - Pad kee mao ($12.95 USD) - wide flat noodles had a good bite. Good portion of meat (pork), decent wok hei. Average Thai eats at KTC.

Great service--we were seated right away and the staff was so friendly! Food was really good and the outdoor seating was nice. Portions were plenty big and we had leftovers. I really enjoyed the pumpkin curry.

This place is super cute and as outdoor seating. We didn't have to wait and the staff were super nice! Food tastes amazing. I have walked by this place a lot and finally got to try it! Would recommend

GREAT food for the price; definitely runs a bit spicy! all orders got out to us in less than five minutes. the only con is there's no AC.

Kwanjai Po is a no frills Thai restaurant in Ballard. Food came out quick and service in general was fast. The Pad Se Ew with tofu was pretty standard - good sauce, not too oily, soft noodles. The tofu had a good grilled flavor. The Tom Kha was the star of the meal. A little sweet, a little sour, a little spicy. You could taste the coconut milk, galangal, and lime leaf in the broth. I never usually like Thai soups, but I think it's because they've never been as flavorful as this one!

I've been here multiple times, and every dish I've had NEVER DISAPPOINTS! This is my go-to Thai spot. Pad Kee Mao - DELICIOUS! I personally enjoy this, because you can really taste the basil and there's a nice light spice. Plenty of veggies that are cooked perfectly. I love their Tom yum and Tom kha soups too! I like ordering these when I'm feeling a little sick. Located on the main strip of 39th. Find parking on the street or paid parking lot across. Easy to find - it's the blue house!

Honestly, Ma provides that home cooking vibe and you can taste it in the food. Tom Yum is a must

Lab neh with tofu (vegan)
Matt B.

I stoped in for dinner on a Friday around 6:30pm when it was beer busy. Luckily, I still got a table for 1. I got the fresh rolls ($7.95 plus tax) and the lab neh with tofu ($12.95 plus tax) -- both vegan. The rolls came out in around 10 mins, sliced up in bite sizes pieces, and served with a sauce that looked like half peanut sauce and half chili oil. Good but honestly nothing special. The rolls are missing some oomph to raise it to delectable territory. 3/5 The lab neh came out soon after and was kind of tangy. There was plenty of wide rice noodles, but they lacked that soft termite one hopes for with this dish. The gravy was nice and amped up nicely with spiciness but it was awkwardly tangy and missing depth. Good but far from a top tier lab neh. 3/5 All in all, decent Thai spot in Fremont but, at least based on what I've had, this was solid by underwhelming.

Noi Thai Cuisine is where my Thai best friend and I go whenever she is in town! It is one of the…read morebest Thai restaurants in Seattle and is certified as Thai Select which certifies its Thai authenticity. They have locations both in Downtown Seattle and Greenlake, but I have only been to their Downtown Seattle location which has a beautiful view of the Puget Sound. The atmosphere is dark, trendy, and modern- perfect for a date night or nice evening out. While they are a white table cloth, sit-down restaurant, you can dress casually or dress up a bit - both are completely acceptable. This most recent visit I ordered the COCONUT PANANG CURRY with chicken ($25.95) and my friend ordered her favorite dish, SALMON GARLIC FRIED RICE ($28.95). On a past visit, I've had their CLAY POT SHRIMP & GLASS NOODLES (KOONG OB WOONSEN) ($27.95) which was absolutely fantastic and has had me hooked on Pad Woonsen ever since! I saw the COCONUT PANANG CURRY recently in my Instagram feed and knew I had to get it. It is served in a whole coconut (yes a real, fresh coconut!) and comes with a champagne flute of fresh coconut juice from the coconut they hollowed out and a side of Jasmine rice. The curry was rich, flavorful, and full of Thai basil and peppers. The coconut juice was light and refreshing and a great contrast to the thick curry. The SALMON GARLIC FRIED RICE (which I've sampled before), is gigantic, aromatic, and served with a giant grilled garlic butter fillet of salmon on top. The salmon is extremely moist, oily, and bursting with flavor. The rice is fragrant and has garlic paste, red bell pepper, carrots, and green onion. If you're looking for a tasty and protein-packed meal, this is the dish! Parking is honestly tough in this area as it's located on 1st. They have limited street parking and a few paid parking garage options around. I recommend light railing or Ubering here if you're not already in the downtown Seattle area. Service is always great and we always get our food quickly, no matter how crowded they are. The staff also take the time to check up on your table during your meal. Overall: 5/5 for food, 5/5 for service, 5/5 for atmosphere

Everything was solid, but the portions were on the smaller side. Compared to other Thai places, it runs a little pricier without being noticeably better on the food side. Service (5/5): We made a reservation and were seated immediately. The staff were friendly throughout our meal. If you're planning to visit during peak weekend hours, I definitely recommend booking ahead. Overall: It's a great place if you're looking for a nice, modern environment, but you're mostly paying for the upscale setting rather than the food itself.

I even ordered crispy garlic chicken at my typical local Thai restaurant to try to re-live the magic and all it did was make me miss Fern Thai even more. When entering they had a live keyboardist and singer playing Valerie which I was a fan of. We stopped in at 10pm on a week night and were sat right away and service was prompt and friendly. We chose fried calamari for an appetizer which was super delicious. My boyfriend thought the sauce that came with the calamari was too spicy for his liking but for me it was super sweet and paired perfectly with the calamari. We enjoyed the appetizer thoroughly and I would say it was my favorite part of the meal. My man ordered his favorite Thai dish Panang chicken Curry spice level 1. He said his meal was delicious but big portion so we both took to go our leftovers. I tried the curry and it was super tasty. I ordered my go to prawns Pad Thai and chose spice level 3. The Pad Thai was delicious and large portion but level 3 was not spicy at all so if you love spicy like me choose above level 3. Not the best Pad Thai I've ever had being honest but still yummy especially for late night. Definitely a great late night choice with large portions!
