Savory eggplant
Teresa M.

Srivilai is a very unassuming family restaurant in West Seattle. I arrived on a weekday soon after opening and was promptly greeted. I went with the lunch version of the savory eggplant with fried tofu. It was cooked well and the portion size was perfect for lunch! It's not the best Thai place I've ever been, but overall it was lovely.

Very nice people. If I lived in the neighborhood I might stop by. But I was not a fan. The crab rangoon was filled mostly with surimi, very little perceivable cream cheese. I can buy better thai sweet chili sauce at my local grocery. Then came the phad Thai (mostly just a sweet flavored noodle with sprouts) and larb gai (pretty good, but served over wilted lettuce and no cabbage). Last came the soup (odd order). My thai soup loving other ate only half his small bowl. Wasn't a fan of the flavor.

We tried this unassuming Thai restaurant in west Seattle. Ordered Phad Prik Khing and Creamy Peanut Sauce at level 5. The Phad Prik Khing was flavorful and had an excellent heat level. Correctly cooked noodles and vegetables provided the appropriate textures. The Creamy Peanut Sauce was delicious. The sauce cooled the dish and ate more as a level 4 heat. Service was excellent. Good natural lighting as we sat near the window in the front of the restaurant. Good portions and reasonable prices. Looking forward to returning. Highly recommended.

Came in to try this place by myself on a Monday evening. It was nice looking and the servers were attentive. I ordered pad see ew. It arrived literally in 5 minutes I was actually shocked how fast it came out. It was way too dark in the restaurant however. I could barely see what I was eating. And the appetizers in my opinion are too expensive.

Pad Thai, crispy chicken, roasted duck curry, and curry puff
Ann W.

Thai food is one of my go-to cuisines, so I've tried many Thai restaurants over the years. Unfortunately, this restaurant just did not meet the expectation. Pad Thai was WAY too sweet and the noodles were all stuck together that were so difficult to pull apart. This gives me the feeling that the noodles were not made fresh and was likely microwaved. Crispy chicken was soggy and covered with heavy flour, also fairly burnt. Roasted duck curry tasted mediocre, nothing special. Curry puff had barely any curry filling - majority of it was the fried dough. All in all, I was not impressed and likely would not return. However, I do want to mention that service was wonderful and our waiter was very helpful! Ambiance was okay...

It is one of the…read morebest Thai restaurants in Seattle and is certified as Thai Select which certifies its Thai authenticity. They have locations both in Downtown Seattle and Greenlake, but I have only been to their Downtown Seattle location which has a beautiful view of the Puget Sound. The atmosphere is dark, trendy, and modern- perfect for a date night or nice evening out. While they are a white table cloth, sit-down restaurant, you can dress casually or dress up a bit - both are completely acceptable. This most recent visit I ordered the COCONUT PANANG CURRY with chicken ($25.95) and my friend ordered her favorite dish, SALMON GARLIC FRIED RICE ($28.95). On a past visit, I've had their CLAY POT SHRIMP & GLASS NOODLES (KOONG OB WOONSEN) ($27.95) which was absolutely fantastic and has had me hooked on Pad Woonsen ever since! I saw the COCONUT PANANG CURRY recently in my Instagram feed and knew I had to get it. It is served in a whole coconut (yes a real, fresh coconut!) and comes with a champagne flute of fresh coconut juice from the coconut they hollowed out and a side of Jasmine rice. The curry was rich, flavorful, and full of Thai basil and peppers. The coconut juice was light and refreshing and a great contrast to the thick curry. The SALMON GARLIC FRIED RICE (which I've sampled before), is gigantic, aromatic, and served with a giant grilled garlic butter fillet of salmon on top. The salmon is extremely moist, oily, and bursting with flavor. The rice is fragrant and has garlic paste, red bell pepper, carrots, and green onion. If you're looking for a tasty and protein-packed meal, this is the dish! Parking is honestly tough in this area as it's located on 1st. They have limited street parking and a few paid parking garage options around. I recommend light railing or Ubering here if you're not already in the downtown Seattle area. Service is always great and we always get our food quickly, no matter how crowded they are. The staff also take the time to check up on your table during your meal. Overall: 5/5 for food, 5/5 for service, 5/5 for atmosphere

Everything was solid, but the portions were on the smaller side. Compared to other Thai places, it runs a little pricier without being noticeably better on the food side. Service (5/5): We made a reservation and were seated immediately. The staff were friendly throughout our meal. If you're planning to visit during peak weekend hours, I definitely recommend booking ahead. Overall: It's a great place if you're looking for a nice, modern environment, but you're mostly paying for the upscale setting rather than the food itself.

I even ordered crispy garlic chicken at my typical local Thai restaurant to try to re-live the magic and all it did was make me miss Fern Thai even more. When entering they had a live keyboardist and singer playing Valerie which I was a fan of. We stopped in at 10pm on a week night and were sat right away and service was prompt and friendly. We chose fried calamari for an appetizer which was super delicious. My boyfriend thought the sauce that came with the calamari was too spicy for his liking but for me it was super sweet and paired perfectly with the calamari. We enjoyed the appetizer thoroughly and I would say it was my favorite part of the meal. My man ordered his favorite Thai dish Panang chicken Curry spice level 1. He said his meal was delicious but big portion so we both took to go our leftovers. I tried the curry and it was super tasty. I ordered my go to prawns Pad Thai and chose spice level 3. The Pad Thai was delicious and large portion but level 3 was not spicy at all so if you love spicy like me choose above level 3. Not the best Pad Thai I've ever had being honest but still yummy especially for late night. Definitely a great late night choice with large portions!
