The owner Jen always does an amazing job with the exotic and inventive variety of flavors in her food. Strongly recommended for the A+ quality service in regards to the friendliness, ambience, and taste of such fine dishes as the Pad See Ew, Pad Thai, Tumeric Noodles, Mango and Sticky Rice, and a personal sweet favorite of mine is their specialty pink bee honey iced tea. If you are visiting Seattle or happen to live in your area, definitely give it a visit. Fairly priced and extremely delicious!

This place is great! Only been here once but I do plan on coming back because they had too many good options on their menu. The service was very quick and friendly and inside was cute, everything is pink. I did bite into a bone in my soup but sh*t happens, ducks have bones! I just picked it out and the rest of the soup was great!

The sandwich I had was really good although quite messy. Maybe a bit too much sauce in there especially for a to go order, but it was very tasty so worth it. The Thai tea was probably too sweet and I wouldn't order it again. The service was great - they asked if I wanted my tea now to drink while I waited or just with my meal when it was ready, which was very considerate. The space is bright and fun with maybe 10 or so tables. There's a lot of construction going on outside but don't let that deter you!

I've heard great things about Pink Bee, so I gave it a shot. We walked inside. I noticed all the windows gave the place a bright atmosphere, and the tables had cute little vases with flowers. There is a Kiosk to order from, so that's what we did. Sat ourselves down. The worker was friendly and asked what kind of silverware we preferred (chopsticks vs forks). The Food: Chicken Pad Thai (medium spice level)- The portion was bigger than other places, which is a big plus. The flavors were strong and delicious! Only complaints are: I really didn't taste much spice, and it was a bit too sweet. Nonetheless, I would definitely come back for this. Pad Kee Mao (high spice level)- The flavors were nice, and vegetables seemed fresh with that crunch that means it's perfectly cooked. However, again, this really wasn't that spicy. The noodles were a bit too soft and broken apart, and it needed more of that basil that's usually in this dish. There is a shelf along a wall with condiments that you can use, so thankfully we were able to add the spice needed to make our dishes really shine. I'd like to try more dishes- there were some things on the menu that looked unique. For example, I saw that there are sandwiches with fillings such as panang curry- whaaat?! Sounds good.

I love going here! All the dishes I've tried are amazing. The Bamee Gai Yang and Turmeric Noodles were both so delicious. Exceptional service! Highly recommend.

Wow!! We've walked past this place many times and we finally stopped by for lunch. From the looks it's very unassuming, the food was the real show stopper. Very friendly service, didn't have to ask for a thing as it was brought to us before we could even ask. We tried the fresh shrimp spring rolls which were the best I have ever had. Delicious fresh herbs and served with peanut sauce and an amazing green Thai chili sauce. The mango juice was dressed up nicely. We ordered the yellow curry sandwich and the chicken satay sandwich. Both sandwiches packed a lot of flavor but our favorite was the yellow curry. It had a nice coconut sweetness to it that balanced so well with the fresh veggies. The table next to use had a few plates of food that looked and smelled fantastic. Can't wait to try other items!

Pros: good food, authenticity, hygiene score went up to "Excellent", friendly staff Cons: not much!

Have you ever had a day where you need a big strong hug BUT you really just want to be in your own head for the day and not talk? Well that's me today, and sitting in Pink Bee as the jazz plays, enjoying sticky rice and basil pork.... The chef singing softly in the kitchen, that's just the hug I needed to make my day better. Sometimes food is about hunger, but today food is about comfort here at Pink Bee. If you need a food hug, I recommend coming here and slowing down for some soul food.

OMG, these were some of the best sandwiches we've had. I had the mean sandwich and my partner had the steak tartare. Their homemade mustard on the mean made the sandwich. The sandwiches are substantial on their own but the bag of fried potatoes make this a filling meal. First time here and we'll definitely be back. Thanks!

My order was ready at the time that was specified (also received a text when it was done) and according to what I read, they keep your food on a warmer while they wait for you to pick it up. How nice! $20 for a sandwich seems pricey, but let me tell you, they definitely make a MEAN sandwich! The Mean - THICK pieces of juicy corned beef with housemade mustard, pickled red cabbage and mint. The cross section of the sandwich looks insane! The combination of flavors is excellent. The Hama Hama Oyster Po'Boy - Deep-fried Hama Hama yysters with housemade remoulade and lemon-pepper mayo. I loved this. The oysteres were nicely fried with not too much batter. You could really taste the oyster and appreciate the texture. The French roll was also very nice. It was similar to a Vietnamese Banh Mi roll. Soft, but with a light crispness on the outside. Fully Loaded Skins & Ins - Skins & Ins are basically a mixture of fried potato skins and potato chunks so you get a variety of texture: thin and crispy, or soft and meaty. The fully loaded option adds toppings similar to that of a loaded baked potato (white sauce, spices, scallions, and super crunchy bacon bits). This was a nice change from having the usual chips or fries with a sandwich. Parking can be somewhat of a challenge in this area, but if you're able to make it over then I think it's worth visiting.

Lorenzo opened Paseo in 1994, where his popular Cuban roast pork sandwiches were regarded as among the best in the country. After years of local expansion, Paseo abruptly filed for bankruptcy in 2014. The brand was subsequently bought out by a local entrepreneur, but the sale did not include Paseo's secret recipes (the reboot attempted to reverse engineer the sandwiches with varying success). So, in 2015, Lorenzo's sons revived Paseo under a new name, Un Bien, armed with their father's original recipes. Nowadays, Un Bien is generally regarded as superior to Paseo, and you can grab their Caribbean sandos at one of the three locations across Seattle. You can't miss the pastel pink-and-teal palette of the original shack on an otherwise drab block of Ballard. As you approach the wooden window, you are greeted by the aroma of sauteed meats and veggies. Communal laquered wood benches are lined up underneath a covered pergola. Fifties hits ring respectfully around the kitchen. My partner and I visited for late weekday lunch, and we ordered immediately. We opted to focus on the signature pork shoulder, so we split the #1 Caribbean Roast and #2 The Press. Across both sandwiches, we were impressed by the tender pork, rich onions, lemon-forward aioli, and marinade-soaked baguette. The standard roast pork sandwich added on pickled jalapenos and crisp romaine, culminating in a dynamic flavor that accentuated the meat. Meanwhile, The Press featured tart banana peppers, smoked ham, and melty Swiss, amping up the sweet and savory flavors alike; we agreed that this extra-messy sandwich just edged out the standard version. Our order took just minutes to be prepared, and the bill just topped $30. Despite the fanfare, I still found myself surprised by just how satisfying Un Bien's sandwiches turned out to be. Across all the food I ate in Seattle, only these pork sandwiches would be worth a return visit, even if I had to venture out of my way.

Messy, pricey, totally overrated…read more My family and I visited Un Bien and arrived approximately 45 minutes before closing. We ordered promptly, but were told we would only have about 10 minutes to use the seating area before it closed. When we asked for clarification because the restaurant was advertised as being open until 9:00 PM, staff confirmed they were open until then but said the seating area would close earlier anyway. After receiving our food, we were told not to sit down and were asked to leave the seating area altogether. The interaction felt abrupt and discourteous, especially given that we had arrived well before closing and had purchased food with the expectation that we could eat on-site. The food itself was average, but the poor customer service and inconsistent messaging about seating left a much stronger impression than the meal. There are other better places. Skip.

While other Serious Pie locations tend to be semi-upscale-yet-casual pizza joints, this spot felt more like an afterthought with its small, dark space and decidedly hole-in-the-wall vibe. The good news is, the pizza was still delish, as it always is at Serious Pie. We enjoyed the sweet sausage pizza that has become a fave over the years, along with a couple of beers which were served in plastic pint "glasses". Okay, I'm sure this makes me sound like a beer snob, but plastic?! Good beer just doesn't taste good in plastic. (Unless you're at a frat party?) Our server (who, by the way, was excellent) later told us he'd accidentally used the wrong glasses for the beer; so apparently it's something they're fixing. Yay! It was also darn cold inside. We had to keep our coats on the entire time. A door between the restaurant area and the semi-open entrance to what appears to be their central storage area would most likely help. Again, this all probably seems a bit petty. I'll own that. But as someone who loves Tom Douglas and his restaurants, and has had great experiences at other Serious Pie locations, this one was a disappointment. Especially since they're charging the same (some might say elevated) prices as they do at the other locations. Maybe if they called it something else, to differentiate it? Serious Pie Lite? Semi-Serious Pie? I dunno, but I expected just a little bit better from this iconic local brand.
