Got a to-go order of chicken pad see ew (spicy) and crispy spring rolls. Food was just ok, nothing memorable about it. The pad see ew wasn't spicy at all unfortunately and didn't have much flavor to it. The crispy spring rolls were standard.

My bf brought me here for lunch for Valentine's Day. We got here a little bit after noon, so it was pretty empty, plus we made it right when happy hour started. The place was nicely-decorated for Valentine's Day, and the staff were really welcoming and friendly. My bf and I ordered the Crab Rangoon, Chicken Entrails (which I don't see at Thai restaurants, so had to try), and Margarita from the happy hour menu, and they were all delicious. I ordered the Lover's Dream from the Valentine's special menu, which is stir-fried ramen noodles with shrimp and lobster. My bf ordered the Kaplau Gai Kai Doa. They didn't ask us for any spice level, so maybe they don't any spices, so I had to ask for the spice rack. We both enjoyed our lunch. My bf finished all his food, and I was happy I had leftovers for later.

We came to Jai Thai for a birthday celebration. There was no wait at all for the 7 of us (seated right away). The outside of the restaurant is very pretty with the drop flowers while the inside is dimly lit for the mood. When we sat we were able to order but it seemed like we were ordering with three different individuals at first. We got our food fairly quick except for one dish... Their dish came out about 7-10 min after everyone elses. We did a bit of a family style approach to our dishes and ordered to taste all. Dishes for the table were: Pineapple Fried Rice, Yellow Curry, Phad See Ew, Fried Calamari, Garlic Chicken. The service was ok. I had ordered a curry to go and they forgot to log it in. I was waiting a few minutes after the table had paid for the check. They rushed the order in, which I appreciated.

Came for a late night dinner and enjoyed our food. I think we might've been the last customers before closing but we never felt rushed once and staff was kind, friendly, and attentive. Water was always refilled. I loved the decor and super clean interior! Food was soooo yummy however we think they might've messed up and switched our spice levels..my boyfriend can't handle heat like I can and had ordered the lowest spice level however my food had no spice and and was sweet (still sooo tasty) but he was coughing and drinking that water lol. He still enjoyed his food but we'll make sure next time to double check they give us the right spice level so we can thoroughly enjoy. Portions were great in my opinion, no skimping on the prawns! We both agreed we would return and like to try a cocktail the next time as well. Would recommend for date night!

Listen, here is the thing about Jai Thai. It may not be the best Thai food in town (although everything I had was just fine), but it has what many restaurants in Seattle lack; nice ambiance, plenty of space, and really good service (everyone we encountered was smiling and warm). It's just a pleasant place to be. We got Fresh Rolls, Pad See Ew and a garlic stir fry. It didn't change my life but it was an enjoyable meal. I would recommend for a casual date, where maybe dim lighting and romantic vibes are more important than having the best meal of your life.

My friends and I stumbled onto this cute Thai eatery when wandering around Fremont. It was a chilly and wet Seattle day and we needed some warm food to fill our bellies! This place was quiet on a late afternoon but still felt cozy. The prices are not bad if you get a lunch special and the portions are quite large. I got the peanut sauce over chicken and it comes with a side of pad Thai and brown rice. I had to take home half of it! I would give 3.5 stars if I could because the food was pretty good but doesn't quite stand out when compared to so many other Thai places in Seattle. The service was fine, no complaints but nothing to rave about.

I was pretty surprised by the reviews here as I ate at Jai Thai over the weekend and loved it! The decor is actually what drew my friend and I inside as it was quirky but beautiful and also decorated for the holidays. We were seated immediately and waited on very quickly by two women who were both so friendly! My friend ordered the cashew chicken and I had the angel wing entree in yellow curry and, while I'd never had angel wings before, they are my new favorite meal ever! I really enjoyed our time here and I even told several people about it later in the day (lol). I'd recommend stopping by and I'll definitely be back.

Ended up here because another restaurant had a long wait. It's a nice restaurant and we were seated immediately. We started the meal off with an appetizer of pot stickers which were very good. We ended up getting the Phad Khee Mao, and in my opinion the flavor was a bit off and had a fishy taste to it as if they had used the same pan to cook the noodles as they did fish. Would not return do to this experience.

Cockroach in food. Sat down an had beers and where our app came out there was a cockroach in it. Super gross. We left. Would not recommend

Delicious! A perfect dinner place for large groups! Everything was tasty, especially liked the Phad See Ew and the Tom Kha soup.

They have locations both in Downtown Seattle and Greenlake, but I have only been to their Downtown Seattle location which has a beautiful view of the Puget Sound. The atmosphere is dark, trendy, and modern- perfect for a date night or nice evening out. While they are a white table cloth, sit-down restaurant, you can dress casually or dress up a bit - both are completely acceptable. This most recent visit I ordered the COCONUT PANANG CURRY with chicken ($25.95) and my friend ordered her favorite dish, SALMON GARLIC FRIED RICE ($28.95). On a past visit, I've had their CLAY POT SHRIMP & GLASS NOODLES (KOONG OB WOONSEN) ($27.95) which was absolutely fantastic and has had me hooked on Pad Woonsen ever since! I saw the COCONUT PANANG CURRY recently in my Instagram feed and knew I had to get it. It is served in a whole coconut (yes a real, fresh coconut!) and comes with a champagne flute of fresh coconut juice from the coconut they hollowed out and a side of Jasmine rice. The curry was rich, flavorful, and full of Thai basil and peppers. The coconut juice was light and refreshing and a great contrast to the thick curry. The SALMON GARLIC FRIED RICE (which I've sampled before), is gigantic, aromatic, and served with a giant grilled garlic butter fillet of salmon on top. The salmon is extremely moist, oily, and bursting with flavor. The rice is fragrant and has garlic paste, red bell pepper, carrots, and green onion. If you're looking for a tasty and protein-packed meal, this is the dish! Parking is honestly tough in this area as it's located on 1st. They have limited street parking and a few paid parking garage options around. I recommend light railing or Ubering here if you're not already in the downtown Seattle area. Service is always great and we always get our food quickly, no matter how crowded they are. The staff also take the time to check up on your table during your meal. Overall: 5/5 for food, 5/5 for service, 5/5 for atmosphere

Even though I really wanted to love this place, this place was definitely overhyped; I'd say it's about the same level as A Ma's, which I also didn't enjoy. It might be because the place has gone super viral as we ended up waiting 80 minutes on a Saturday night, so quality control might be more difficult at this point. Tip: the iPad will say the wait is 30 minutes, do not trust the iPad. Hainan Chicken was tasteless and overcooked. The texture was way too chewy and was my least favorite preparation of the night. Gai Tod (fried) was better with a crispy outside, but still a tad overcooked. Gai Yang (grilled) was definitely the best version of chicken and is solid enough if you live nearby, but definitely not driving out of your way or waiting for. Rice wasn't super fluffy and I just prefer garlic rice over ginger. The chicken stock is probably the best part of the rice plates. Upside is the joint is definitely family owned and they do their best to provide good service in spite of the chaos. They'll take your order before you get seated, so the food comes out fast and are generally very sweet when checking in.

Vibe - When I walked in, it felt like I was in a nighttime district on the streets of Thailand, eating and drinking whatever they had available. The vibe was that of a dark ambiance, with neon lights shining throughout the restaurant. Hospitality - The front-of-house staff was well-mannered and courteous, and they seated us quickly on a Monday night at 8:00 PM. It was a relatively busy night. However, we ordered fairly quickly, and the food came out within 10 to 15 minutes. Food - Food-wise, we ordered the Fried Papaya, Crispy Fried Rice, Khao Soi, Tom Yum, and Crispy Pork Belly Fried Rice. Gosh, I have to say, I was blown away by the flavors and the portion sizes! Typically, four dishes can serve three people, but I felt like these could have served five. The fried papaya salad was lightly battered with a typical papaya salad dipping sauce featuring a base of fish sauce, green beans, tomatoes, and chilies. It was good. The crispy fried rice was served with lettuce wraps, and OMG, I kid you not when I tell you this is some of the crispiest rice I've ever had. It's hard to find, but when you do, you can't wait to take another bite. I thought the khao soi overall was not bad. I enjoyed that they put the fried noodles on top so that you can mix them into the curry when it's brought out. Lastly, the pork belly was well-cooked with a crispy, crunchy exterior, and served with delicious Thai-flavored fried rice! Drinks - We ordered the Thai lemon iced tea and the Thai tea cremosa. Both tasted good. Overall, I was very satisfied with this place, and if I lived here, I could see myself grabbing some late-night bites with the homies.
