The food at Thai on One was a bit of a mixed bag. While everything was edible, most of the dishes were just okay. I ordered the Tom Kha and the Papaya Salad, both of which were standard but lacked a certain depth of flavor. The Avocado Curry was fine, though nothing to write home about. However, the Crispy Basil Fried Rice was easily the best part of the meal and had a great crunch and flavor. The ambiance was decent and provided a nice enough setting for a meal. Interestingly, the service was better than the food. The staff was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the night. quaint thai spot in belltown! my friend and i came here since we were nearby and shared a chicken pad thai and crab rangoons. the pad thai was pretty good, since it was on the moister side (side note i hateee a dry pad thai). we did have to ask for a slice of lime to add, though. the crab rangoons were alright, could've had more crab, and the wonton had more of a stale crunch over fresh. i also enjoyed the thai tea, you really can't go wrong. service was amazing, our waiter was such a cutie patootie! def a good lunch spot for a quick bite to eat. read more

Not a busy restaurant but deserves to be! I had dinner with a group of friends and we were surprised by how delicious and genuinely spicy the food was. I got the Pad Thai Sen Yai with Tofu and you know it's made to order because it comes out hot! Came here for dinner on a last minute random pick with wife and son. Something near our hotel but also something we cant find back home in west Texas was the agreement. This one was our pick. It was still happy hour till 6 so we got some deals as well since we got there at 530pm. The place was dead with just 1 other diner when we came in oddly enough. I got the beef salad and chicken larb salad on the happy hour menu and then the chicken satay dish from regular menu. My wife got the drunken noodles (w/ chicken) and my son got the chicken wings with a bowl of rice. Let's just say that not much remained at the end of our visit because it was all fantastic! Everything was super fresh and tasty for all of us. The dressing they make in house for the chicken larb and beef salad is terrific! The marinated sirloin steak bits were super flavorful and very tender. I was very impressed by that alone. The two salads were full size plates also, note smaller happy hour portions at lower cost so that was nice to see. My wife said her noodles were also on point and better than some she gets back home which she does often. My chicken satay skewers were perfect! I love getting this at any Thai spot as it always lands well for me and they did here too. The peanut satay sauce is also on point here as well! Great service, quick, kind, helpful suggestions. Had a wonderful lunch at Thai On 1 today. I had spent the morning walking the waterfront and then up to the Olympic Sculpture garden and was super hungry. Looking at what was around, this place popped up and was open all day until 9. They have lunch specials until 3, as well-SOLD! Really nice space that's bright and sunny. I also needed to charge my phone and asked for a table near an outlet, which they were happy to accommodate. I got the tofu basil lunch special which came with the tofu and veggies, along with a small spring roll, a side of pad Thai and brown rice. It was a nice variety of a little bit of everything. So many delicious dishes, not enough stomach to fit it all... I've been here a couple of times and always over order because all the food sounds so good. They have a pretty big menu, so there's something for everyone! Not only is the food delicious but the service is also exceptional. My friend recommended this place to me a couple of months ago and I've been hooked since. My favorite dishes are the Crispy Garlic Fried Rice with prawns, Chicken Wings, Crying Tiger and Yum Gai Zap. These dishes are full of flavor but not too overwhelming and a great balance between sour, sweet and savory! For most of their dishes, you have to pick a spice level between 1-4 (I think) and although I'm an avid spice eater, 3 was packing a little heat for me so beware! Their drinks are delicious as well- I loved the coconut dream and the pina colada tower! I believe they use Thai coconut milk instead of regular coconut milk, so there's a more unique flavor. A bit expensive, but food is pretty decent! I was craving some Thai food and decided to order a to-go order online when I came across this place. As it was close by, I decided to give it a try. I ordered the chicken pad Thai at a medium spice level, and my order was ready pretty quick. If you're like me and enjoy a nice kick of chili without it getting too overbearing, medium will be perfect. From the first bite, I was able to taste a combination of flavors - the spice, the sauce, and the veggies as well. The chicken was juicy and tender, and the noodles were easy to wrap with a fork. The portion size was pretty generous as well, and I had leftovers for the next day. Was it worth $20+? Probably not, but if you're in the area and want a quick, reliable Thai fix, I'd definitely recommend Thai on One. read more

A true gem in Seattle. I found it surprisingly empty on a Thursday evening for dinner here with a friend. Honestly, we were drawn in by the mimosa tower (includes a full bottle of champagne, Thai rum, fresh fruit and juice), obviously shareable, get at least 3-4 drinks out of it per person, and only $30. Choices were guava, pineapple, or mango. I hope they keep this option. The few guest tables I saw during our visit all had ordered this tower. The food was legit. We ordered wings, garlic fried rice with beef (so tender, lots of garlic, but tasty), and crack chicken (crunchy, sweet, tons of peanuts). We were stuffed and took it home. Friendly service. Well that was disappointing. I was expecting that the "crispy fried chicken breast" in the Yum Fried Chicken Salad would be something approximating sliced fried chicken breast. But this wasn't Yum, it wasn't crispy, it didn't seem fried, and I'm assuming it was actually chicken. What it was most like was the chicken nuggets you'd get at 7-11. Cornmeal breading with mushy formed chicken inside. And to top it off, they put the dressing NOT on the lettuce, but on the chicken, ensuring maximum mushiness. Was excited to eat some thai food final night of recent getaway to Seattle. This did not hit the mark unfortunately. Ordered pad thai, pad ka prao (ground chicken), fried spring rolls and sweet sticky rice for dessert. The pad ka prao was decent. Still out of three times ordered this trip, this was the least notable. The negatives were the remainder of the dishes. The pad thai was quite sweet and tasted more similar to a frozen dinner pad thai than more authentic pad thai. The spring rolls were major disappointment. These are store bought frozen spring rolls that are most common when ordering from americanzied Chinese restaurant. Even though this is only an app, still is a bit upsetting to pay close to 10 dollars for an appetizer of this quality. Most of the time thai restaurants will house make apps (especially fried spring rolls) and the fact they didn't serves (in hindsight) the lack of quality of other dishes (such as main entrees). They were out of two different dishes that we tried to order initially as well. My wife ate two bites and set hers aside. Spent 75 dollars after tip (as service was good) on two dishes, app and dessert. Extremely overpriced both for quantity and quality. We went to another restaurant afterward for small plates to salvage final night of our vacation. In conclusion, I do not understand how this place survives in a competitive southeastern asian food market such as Seattle. This would not even be above average for Indianapolis which is a solid notch below seattle in authenticity and quality of thai cuisine as a whole. I do not like leaving negative reviews as I want local businesses to thrive as this is people's livelihoods. However, when there are obvious corners cut and discrepancies between what consumer is sold and the quality expectation, then I feel necessary to warn patrons before they spend money. Hope that this place puts more efforts into crafting their product as in long run will pay off as could definitely be much improved! read more

**PLEASE READ** I live down the street so i'm here pretty often! The food always hits every time! Some of the best Thai food around! Not only that but the place is so nice inside very clean and kept up. But the best of all is the service!! They are so incredibly kind and this place deserves more recognition. I think maybe because of the location it gets passed by but more people need to know about this restaurant! Just today I walked over to get some lunch and I was surprised when the doors were closed. I stood there for a second to find out what I was gonna go eat instead since they were closed when the sweetest man opened the door and said they closed because they were getting no business and invited me inside and personally cooked me some food and even insisted I take it for free!!
