Visited for the first time since my last visit in 2021 and i missed this place. Glad to be back in the office to enjoy this place! The owners even remembered me. I ordered lunch for myself and dinner to bring home for my fiance to try. He absolutely loves this place. I ordered the Swimming Angel for him and I (again because this is still my favorite). He had to note that he appreciated that the chicken was actually cooked. Usually other locations have microwaved chicken, which is usually a dry clumped flavorless taste. However, here its cooked! They do say that if you are ordering for dinner, they can cook it and then cool it a bit so that you can reheat well for dinner. Overall, I will miss this place when I no longer work in Seattle. This tiny, hidden away gem in the heart of downtown, managed to stand up and survive the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and they did it with a warm welcome and a smile. It is small, but you are struck by the sense of familiarity because they aren't trying to keep up with anyone, they have mismatched chairs and tables crammed into a small space and it is somehow very welcoming. Despite the occasional wait, which is testament to their dedication to freshly prepared dishes, it is all worth it. They didn't just survive, they thrived, proving that commitment to quality and community can withstand even the toughest of times. They are priced fair and the portions are perfect. My go-to is the curry noodle dish, but I make myself try the other items on their menu because I know they are all delicious, too. I will try to take a photo before I attack my dish. Easily one of my favorite meals in Seattle. It's a bit hard to find the first time you go. As most people mention, it's near the WE WORK sign in the bottom floor of a building on 4th ave. Walk through the green marble lobby to the restaurant. This is not the kind of place you go to get good instagram photos of the restaurant. It's the kind of place you go when you want an excellent (and affordable) meal, in a clean location, from some of the kindest people I've ever met. I always get the yellow curry. It's shredded chicken, carrots, potatoes, and white rice with a yellow curry. No onions (thank goodness!!!!!) and a the perfect amount of spice to it! Most Asian food in Seattle uses all parts of the chicken in their dishes and here it seems to be only the breast (thank goodness!!) Its a great sized portion. The people working also deserve HUGE recognition because they're the kindest people I've met in Seattle. They will go out of their way to make sure every order is perfect and work hard to learn your name. If I had to have one complaint it's that they're only open m-f 8:30-3. I don't know how they do it, the chicken I think is precooked and used in several of their dishes, but you wouldn't know it, the teriyaki sauce was delicious, although a bit saltier than typical. It can be a challenge to find good cheap eats in downtown Seattle. Harbor Café is one spot I would put in this category. I was walking down 4th Avenue looking for a place to eat and came across their sandwich board on the sidewalk so I decided to venture in. If not for that board, I wouldn't have known that this place existed. It is on the same street as Potbelly and RN 74 in an older building near an investment brokerage. The restaurant is just past the elevators here. The offerings here kind of remind me of DeliNoMore except with a focus on Thai food. They offer breakfast items in the morning and for lunch they serve Thai dishes along with items like teriyaki chicken and some salads. There is also a daily special. Nothing on the menu is over $7.95. I went with the Thai curry noodle ($6.95) since it was cool outside. I paid for the meal and then took a seat across the hall in their dining area. My meal was then brought over when it was ready. I liked the dish. A comforting meal. Egg noodles were covered by a slightly spicy yellow curry sauce. The crispy noodles on top are sort of reminiscent of the ones that I had in the khao soi dish at Bai Tong. Service here is very friendly. The lady at the counter particularly who makes you feel at home. The same kind of hospitality I find back in Hawaii. I think I am being a little harsh giving a three here. This place is on the cusp of four stars, but I want to try more of the menu before giving it that distinction. If I were working in downtown Seattle, Harbor Café would be one of my regular spots for sure. read more

Pot roast special on Wednesdays is my favorite. They are open during covid closures, and I trust they're taking more than sufficient safety measures, for dining in or take out. Portion size is just right for work day lunch and affordable, and service is quick, and friendly. Tucked away in a vintage office building on Fourth Ave, to find them look for the sandwich board on the sidewalk outside. The owners basically do everything themselves, and are friendly, experienced, and committed. I also like the chicken soup, the curry noodles, and occasionally another curry dish. Seriously the best Thai iced tea ever. Tucked inside one of the big business buildings downtown, Harbor Cafe is one of your typical Financial District Monday through Friday business hours place. Which is sad, because I could've eaten this all weekend long. I found this place after taking the light rail downtown to our hotel, and since it was 1:30 on a Friday (they close at 3) and we were hungry, we wanted the closest thing to us, which happened to be Harbor Cafe. We walked inside, a little confused about the location, but the lady came out from the kitchen area and greeted us. She was so sweet and nice, along with everyone else who worked there. I chose the special noodle soup, and BF had the panang chicken, which was the special of the day. We placed our orders and sat in the tiny eating area (probably seats about 20), and they brought us our food a few minutes later. My bowl of noodle soup was essentially just chicken pho, but it was flavorful and piping hot. So good for the soul. BF's panang chicken was not too sweet and a good-sized portion. But what REALLY killed it all was his Thai iced tea. It was a made-to-order tea so it was still warm while it mixed in with the ice cubes. They gave a little extra in a smaller cup (unheard of in SF!) so I tried some and fell in love. It had delicious tea flavor and was extremely creamy and smooth. You could probably freeze this and it would turn into the best Thai tea ice cream you'll ever have in your entire life. Just for Harbor Cafe, for future trips I'll make sure I land in Seattle before 3 PM on a Friday. read more

Followed my co-worker to this laid back mom & pop joint. It was a little weird at first, but I really enjoy the service here and of course, the food! The owners are super friendly and really down to earth. They are always quick and consistent, which is what I like. The daily special is always good. Wednesday is my favorite, the pot roast. Glad I stumbled upon this place (figuratively & literally). Totally enjoyed my lunches! Pot roast with potatoes & veg was delicious(very homemade lunch like my mama would cook) and also the Thai curry noodle bowl with chicken (great curry flavor and egg noodles were great) was super tasty! Portions are perfect for lunch, not overly stuffed but definitely filling. I think all their items for lunch are $7 or cheaper. Hell yea! They have daily specials too so dont forget to check that. Order at the counter, go across the hall and sit and they will bring out your food, only about 10 tables or less in there. I have been to the Harbor Cafe dozens and dozens and dozens of times, and I LOVE it! I go because the food is delicious, competitively priced, of superior quality, with lots of variety, and the owners are wonderful people. I have tried many items on the menu, and I really like them all. The pork loin special on Tuesdays is one of my favorites as is the noodle bowl. It was a cold and rainy day. The rain felt like little tiny daggers because of the wind. I had to walk the 2 blocks to get here because of all the wonderful reviews I've seen on here. I go to counter to order, and the super-nice lady gives me some napkins to help dry me off.
