I think snowy village has the best bingsoo in seattle. They have so many different flavors and the ice is always soft and fluffy. I usually go for the fruity ones, Strawberry/Mango and I like that they put fruit throughout the whole thing. They use sweet honey mangos unlike other bingsoo places in Washington, which makes a huge difference. My friends like to get piggy, which is an oreo/strawberry mix, but it's not on the menu. You usually order through the self kiosk stand and it can be hard to find a seat depending on how busy it is. Snowy Village is BACK with higher quality bingsu and more flavors, therefore coming back into the favor of my family and returning to the top spot of our favorite dessert places While the wait at both locations (Bellevue, U-District) is usually quite long on warm days and the summer/spring season, it's worth it. Even as the wait at this location can be even longer, I don't blame anyone (usually it feels that the Snowy Village here in Seattle is pretty understaffed so I make sure to really tip the workers). Snowy village is one of my favorite spots for Korean-style bingsoo! It's different from shave ice in that it uses a milk base, so the ice is creamy. I was surprised to find that snowy village now offers non-dairy options! As a lactose intolerant person, I was very excited. There are a limited number of non-dairy flavors. It uses an oat milk base and coconut milk ice cream. Unfortunately, I think I prefer the milk-based ones better. The ice is more dense in the non-dairy, and the coconut ice cream just isn't as good as regular ice cream. I am so happy that it's an option though!! The regular size easily feeds 2 in my opinion. There was ample street parking outside the shop and there is a restroom in the shop. There is a lot of seating and self-serve water.
