Great shaved ice spot, the large shaved ice bowl was split between three people, and it was more than enough. Service was friendly and it's a nice university spot for students wanting a cold sweet treat. There's limited parking out front and enough some seating inside even during the evening rush.

Nice shaved ice place! Got a small strawberry for two people. Would definitely recommend the regular size for sharing instead. Fruit tastes really fresh though and shaved ice is flavorful. Lots of seating inside with only one other group ahead of us on a Sunday as they opened. But service took a while since I think there was only one person.

The service was really nice, the snowy was really good but if you don't like too much sugar you would like to share with someone else or I highly recommend to order with light condensed milk. The food was really good tho! Ambiance really cute!!

I've tried three different bingsoos in the two times I've been here, and all were delicious. I've never been to a shaved ice place where the ice had a creamy / milky base to it, and I don't think I can ever go back. It made the bingsoo so much more enjoyable! The portion sizes were also huge, so it may seem pricey at first but you can definitely split with your group. The regular size was enough for three of us! The space itself was also clean and spacious. You don't get too much interactions with staff, as ordering is through a kiosk. There's also a self-serve water station. So far, this is my favorite dessert place on the Ave! Would highly recommend for when you're craving a sweet, refreshing treat!

The quality, presentation, and taste of the bingsu were all top-notch! The watermelon bingsu was piled high with juicy, sweet melon balls--so refreshing. The strawberry bingsu came with a generous swirl of whipped cream on top, and the sweetness was just perfect. The taiyaki had a crispy outside and a soft inside, filled generously with sweet red bean paste--such a perfect way to end the dessert round. Snowy Village The shop isn't huge, but it's always bustling with customers, giving it such a lively vibe. If you're looking for something sweet, cold, and absolutely satisfying, I highly recommend it!

Cute Asian dessert spot in U District, known for their bingsu. Ordered a "lite" mango bingsu, which was the smallest size and pretty pricey, at $11. The presentation was so great, and it was a decent amount of dessert. It didn't knock my socks off, but was tasty. Would go back if I was in the area.

TLDR: Flavors are TO DIE FOR. Only reason for 4/5 is because it's quite expensive. So it's a place I'd only go every one in a while to treat myself. Everything on the menu is a work of art so it takes about 10 minutes to get your order, longer if they're busy. Once you get it though, it makes sense ! The shaved ice looks so delicately balanced. Personal favorite is the pesto taiyaki; the pizza one is a close second. Seasonal mango shaved ice is the best, but is only available until August. Get it while you can! There is lots of seating and they play RnB music. Must bus your own table. Free water provided !

Love how milky and soft the bingsoo is! This place is still one of my fav dessert places in the area.

We went on a rainy Saturday night and had a delightful time! The space is airy and vibrant, and the food was fun and delicious. The shaved ice is made with milk, but they have an oat option for those of us with lactose challenges. My husband and I each got a "lite" size, and it was a perfectly fine amount of dessert. I'm looking forward to going back and trying other flavors and items!

Get the default size. The regular is a lot of food! My friend got the mango and I got the black sesame with condensed milk. It was all good.

Maybe I tried the wrong meny item but I was extremely unimpressed with the croissant taiyaki. Outter dough was crispy and tasted burnt. The croissant dough was not very flakey and the butter in the dough overwhelmed the dish. We tried three fillings. You could barely Red bean was barely because the dough was too buttery. The nutella filling basically just tasted like nutella on much too toaster store bought croissants dough. It lacked a creaminess or robust flavor. The custard filling was a plain vanilla but the custard had solidified into a thick gloopy filling. It was not a rich creamy custard filling you might expect. Over all food was not impressive but would give them another chance to try the Bingsoo. Ambiance was super adorable and service was prompt/nice

Came in about an hour before they closed on Friday. We had a large party but we were able to grab a table as another large party was leaving. The bingsu came out relatively fast and it was larger than I expected. However, my husband and I still managed to eat all of it. It was tasty and pretty much what I would expect it to taste like. The thing that stood out was that the taiyaki was excellent! It's not your typical one where it's bready. The outside texture was more croissant like (which they did describe) but it was just so delicious! My husband ordered the pepperoni pizza one and it hit the spot. I'd definitely come back just for the taiyaki. We had also stayed a little past 10:45 (sorry!) and they didn't even say anything to kick us out. So nice! We just noticed the time and hurried out.

Been coming here for years and this place never disappoints every time I have a sweet carving. The shavings are so fine and just melts in your mouth perfectly. Minimal clumps and the snow is perfectly sweet and not overpowering. Love trying out the different flavors they have and I recommend the mango (seasonal) and the injeolmi ( soy bean powder)

First, the negatives that didn't affect my rating: parking is a pain, but that's expected for this neighborhood in Seattle. Seating is also very cramped and tight during the dinner rush. Annoying, yes, but understandable. What did affect the rating was the food itself. The Oreo brownie bingsu looked beautiful, but honestly it just was not very good. I've had much better bingsu elsewhere, even at chains like Snowy Village. It felt more Instagram-worthy than actually enjoyable. The mango cheesecake crepe was even worse. My friend and I literally scraped all the filling off and just ate the crepe itself because the toppings tasted so artificial. The mangoes tasted frozen, the syrup was overly sweet and processed tasting, and the whole thing lacked freshness. For the price, it was genuinely disappointing. The final bill ended up being over $40, which would have been easier to justify if the desserts were memorable, but they really weren't. One last thing: I don't mind tipping when there's actual service involved, but this is essentially counter service where customers are also expected to clear their own trays afterward. Having the tipping screen pop up at checkout after that experience just felt excessive and awkward.

They offer two flavors, Hokkaido Milk and Matcha, and I went with the swirl because I wanted the best of both worlds. I usually prefer my ice cream plain so I can focus on the flavor itself, but they do offer mochi and syrup toppings if you want to dress it up. I was actually a little surprised to see the strawberry syrup was sold out, which weirdly made me even more intrigued -- but in the end, I still stuck with the ice cream as is. The shop itself is a small pickup window attached to a larger Japanese restaurant, and it seems like a very cost-effective way to run the business. It also appeared to be operated by just two people, which made the whole operation even more impressive. When I went, there was a long line that stretched a good way down the street, but the wait moved quickly -- I spent about 15 minutes waiting to order and had my ice cream within minutes.
