The chicken sandwiches are really tasty - my favorite is the Nashville Hot - it's not too spicy. The soft serve though, is what I would go to get again, since there are so many different flavors. The service is pretty standard. The vibes of the restaurant is very summer-heavy though, not a winter spot but any other season is alright for the outdoor season as long as it isn't raining. Beware if Parking though!

Aight, this place went pretty viral a while ago and a lotta yall already know bout this place so I'll just run down a list of my pros and cons real quick. For context, this was my first time coming here. I ordered take out (~20 minute drive back home) and got the Virginia boy sandwich + curly fries. Pros: - quick, friendly service - hefty-sized sandwich - the chicken itself was nice and juicy; I've seen a lotta reviews complaining about the chicken being "stringy" -- I didn't run into this issue - lotta fries included - ok prices relative to Seattle pricing lol Cons: - both buns were super soggy by the time I got home, a lot of the breading from the actual chicken was also soggy/peeling on its own; the hot honey sauce was barely noticeable IMO - re: curly fries, 90% of it were small/short pieces that were either super crispy or just didn't include much potato in its texture - it's beacon hill so don't expect parking to be too friendly or accessible lol I'd be down to try it again, but I think I would most def dine in next time + try their mozzy sticks + soft serve

This place always hits. It's my and my boyfriend's go to place. The sandwiches never fail us and their kale salad is delicious. They do monthly seasonal side serve flavors. Remember to get a punch card. Service is ok. You order at the counter and workers bring it to you. Decor is cute. Ambiance is casual.

My sister has been telling me about this place and we finally had some time to stop by after the Seahawks parade * GO HAWKS* They had a nice outdoor seating deck but also plenty of seating inside. There was no line and we were immediately taken care of. The staff was so nice and friendly! I didn't feel rushed at all and they had many menus around the shop. I ended up going with their seasonal milk tea soft serve. This soft serve lived up to the hype. It was nice and creamy and had a lot of body to it. The price was also very fair. My boyfriend also got a Agave lemonade and it was nice and tart. I'll definitely be coming back to try the chicken

Milk Drunk is a summertime favorite for us because of their soft serve. Their fried chicken sandwiches are substantial, as well as tasty. We recently stopped by for the current special - Fishy McFish. We also ordered the Virginia Boy, The Strips and Kale Salad. Both sandwiches were held at the counter for awhile waiting for The Strips to complete our order. When I got my sandwich, I was already underwhelmed due to the sogginess of the sandwich and the fish lacked the crisp exterior I was anticipating. It was a hefty piece of cod and the sandwich was tasty with the curried slaw. We were happy that curley fries come with The Strips, so we wouldn't have to order them as a side, but there were a lot more crumbs than curleys. Will this stop us from visiting again? - Nope.

Parking is the hardest part. But once you get past that obstacle, this place has amazing soft serve worth the effort. This time I wanted to try the Vegan strawberry swirled with matcha. Too good for words. Service by Kevin was excellent and swift. If you have time, highly recommend the kale salad and a fried chicken sandwich with pickle. Highly satisfying proteins bc of the l quality of ingredients and the flavors that come together.

refreshing & light! I have always wanted to try this spot and decided to come here after dinner for their icecream. There isn't a designated parking lot, so good luck finding street parking. There's a residential neighborhood in the back and we were able to snag a spot, but the street was pretty full as it's also next to a brewery. Upon walking into the store, it's pretty spacious and clean. They let you sample icecream flavors before ordering and have lots of fun regulars as well as seasonal flavors. In the store is a long booth along the side wall with about 5 small circle tables. we thought the portions would be small so we each ordered one. strawberry matcha swirl: the strawberry portion is a sorbet and the matcha is the milk base. the matcha isn't too grassy or strong, but you can still taste it. the strawberry isn't artificial or too sweet either, more fresh. pistachio: this is one of their seasonal flavors and so delicious! My cousins favorite icecream flavor is pistachio, but most taste too artificial or sweet and this wasn't. Her only critique is that she wished it had actual pistachio chunks in it mozzarella sticks: well seasoned breading & super yummy! the cheese pull is real. I didn't care for the marinara sauce on the side is a little plain/chunky for me but not too bad overall we enjoyed our items and will be coming back. I'm lactose intolerant, but the icecream didn't upset my stomach very much. The portion sizes and quality of the icecream was worth the price. Each icecream was $6.50 and our cashier was kind and patient as we decided what we wanted. We came a little after 30 minutes before closed, but were still able to order from the kitchen. Everything came out super quick too. The mozzarella sticks were out in 8 minutes and the icecream came out immediately!

Our first time visiting Beacon Hill and we chose Milk Drunk for a meal on a clear Sunday morning. This place is conveniently located kitty corner to the light rail station and man was it busy, busy, busy for lunch. We luckily snagged a seat by the window when we saw people leaving. It's a pretty small shop overall without much seating inside making it a bit claustrophobic given the small space and the line for food. There are some picnic tables outside but it was too cold for us given the near freezing temperature. The Homer ($14) - This sandwich is way too tall and can't be compressed well. It's something like 6 or 7 inches tall, piled high with kale and a thick slab of fried chicken breast in between the pillowy bun. It's actually really difficult to eat due to the height since it can't really be compressed, necessitating either deconstructing the sandwich, or taking alternating bites of the top ingredients and the bottom. The fried chicken isn't uniform in thickness, so while some portions are nicely moist, with just a touch of pink, other sections become tough and stringy. The breading is smooth and crisp and it adheres to the chicken pretty well, giving a fabulous crunch. I'm not sure how they assemble the chicken - I feel like it might be a bunch of tenders mushed together, then cut to size, given that the chicken is somewhat square shaped with clear cut marks on two sides. On top of the chicken is a large slice of tomato - I actually think for this sandwich, the tomato should be placed elsewhere, since the juices soak into the breading and quickly softens it. Underneath the chicken is a bed of crisp cucumbers, cilantro, and a rich tangy and very garlicky tzatziki. The top bun is slathered with what I think is a harissa infused mayo, giving more creaminess and a slight warming sensation. Other than the sandwich being too tall, I think the flavors are all complementary and the ingredient selection is well balanced. It's not too dry, not too wet, and not too messy to eat, other than having to deconstruct a bit. (4/5) The Katsu Melt ($15) - This is an interesting and totally different eating experience from the food Katsu Burger, a small chain around Seattle, serves. The very first flavor to hit is a very, very strong umami from either soy or Worcestershire, or maybe a mix. It's so strong it permeates the mouth, before eventually descending into a caramelized onion sweetness and fragrance, and finally a beefy flavor from the menchi katsu. The beef is really tender and flavorful, and is fried, albeit not with much of a coating, so it's not very crisp. Shaved cabbage underneath provides some additional crunch and thousand island on top some more moisture. Interestingly, the flavor of the thousand island, which I normally associate with being quite strong, is drowned out by the umami. (5/5) Mozzarella Sticks ($8) - An order comes with four huge mozzarella sticks, easily double or triple the size of the average baton. They cut 1x1 inch squares on the face of the cheese, allowing a 4 or 5 inch length, then bread it in a craggly crumb based breading, and fry. These are supremely stretchy thanks to the hot mozzarella within - I think we got one stick to 2 or 3 feet long before it broke. They apply just a bit of salt on the outside and a heavy sprinkle of pizza seasoning. They're enough to be satisfying on their own, but then the sticks are served with a cup of marinara. The marinara is a thicker consistency, fabulously sweet and acidic, balanced with salt and herbs. I think they add some harissa as well, given a slight heat and smokiness. It's the perfect complement to help cut through the amount of cheese in each stick. (5/5) Pistachio-Black Currant Swirl ($6.50) - This is an excellent soft serve. Unlike many commercial ones that feel like they are full of air, develop tons of ice crystals throughout, or start melting as soon as they come out of the machine, this ice cream is decadent, smooth, creamy. It's not quite as creamy as custard, not as thick as solidified ice cream; it's that perfect texture in between. I believe the flavorings they use are natural. The black currant actually tastes like currant with the bold berry tanginess, and is balanced with cream and sugar. I actually don't like eating black currant due to the strong almost woody berry-like taste profile, but it works perfectly in ice cream. The pistachio is a dull light green color, nothing like the almost lime-green color I've seen in the past. It has a fragrant pistachio nutty flavor, although it's delicate and doesn't stand up to the black currant in the swirl. For people who actually want pistachio, I would recommend ordering it separately. The black currant soft serve is actually vegan - I'm surprised that somehow they get it to be the exact same creamy texture as the pistachio! (5/5) This was one of the best meals I've had so far this year (and the best ice cream). I'll definitely be back. Bathrooms - One unisex room

We only did to go. Was craving some mozzarella sticks and this place is the best one i've ever had. Super cheesing and the outside layer has a nice crunchy flake to it. The soft serve was one of the best I've ever had. The flavor is vanilla, it's not too sweet and a very creamy texture to it where you don't get sick of it if you ate the whole thing. Picking up my to go, the service was very good and efficient.

Oh man, I love their soft serve but their fried chicken sandwich was pretty mediocre at best. Similar to some reviews, and something I noticed in Seattle as someone who just moved from Orange County, CA is you'll see a lot of spots mention a spot being "the best" and it never really is the best and you just leave disappointed. In this case people mention this as a top spot for the "best fried chicken". When I took my first bite of the Nashville Hot Chicken - i was like okay theres flavor here. But that quickly became an overwhelming amount of seasoning that doesn't meld well together and just becomes an intense spice whereas other Nashville chickens have a blend that just works well. The chicken was stringy and barely edible in some spots and I threw it away after like three bites. You can barely taste the coleslaw and pickles and the bread was soft and sad too. Loved those mozzarella sticks and soft serve and milkshakes though but the experience with the chicken left me not really wanting to come back.

KATSU MELT SEASONAL SANDWICH Came in today for the monthly sandwich special! First time I've seen them do beef. AMAZING. Fried ground beef, katsu sauce and caramelized onions on the bottom, cabbage, thousand island sauce on top. The sauces being on top and bottom was hype. I've had many of their monthly specials and this one was truly a treat. Stay tuned on their email updates for monthly sandwich and ice cream specials!!

Milk Drunk is great! I've been here on several occasions, for both food and dessert. The line always moves pretty fast and the food comes out quick as well. There's both indoor and outdoor seating. The chicken sandwiches are always large and filling. They are a bit messy to eat though because of how big they are so keep that in mind. I also really like the different seasonal sandwich options as well as their seasonal ice creams. They do a great soft serve swirl and I like just getting their milkshakes too. Overall, they are a great staple of beacon hill.
