Hmmm $20 bucks for a cover?? I dunno about that... The place seemed empty inside and not many people were dancing. (Was playing house music all night) This place had 3 different floors, but most people will chill in the patio/roof top floor. Drinks were okay and reasonably priced ($11-$16). Located in SODO, so there are plenty of street parkings available.

I'm highly disappointed in how my friends and I were treated at monkey loft on 10/29/22. I was verbally insulted and screamed at by these two people. The male is a bouncer and the woman is a "ticket" person. They were so disorganized within them own selves that they took their own frustrations out on innocent people just trying to attend Monkey loft. They seemed to be extremely high strung like on some type of substance that caused them to be aggressive. I have a video of how I was mistreated by these two individuals who work at Monkey Loft and would truly appreciate some type of action to be taken place.

Old Navy Jacket

It really pains me to write this review. However, my experience last night should be documented. First off, the music and vibe in this place is awesome. I grew up listening to house music and I'm usually the one who gets others to dance. I can groove and it's infectious. Their dj's know how to spin and my friends have taken me here while I was in town. I even told the lady behind the ticket counter how much I've waited to come back to this spot. I recently moved to Seattle about 1 month ago and couldn't wait to go back. At the door last night I overheard the last at three door talking about coat check. I thigh this would be a good idea because I was bundled up on a 40 degree night. I paid the extra 3 dollars because who wants to lug a big coat around while dancing? So I danced and had a great time. Although, I noticed I could not find my coat ticket. Coat tickets at dance clubs are worse than socks and laundry. Since I remembered my number #53 and could describe my jacket I thought I wouldn't have any problems...right? This is where the night took a turn. I told my story to the lady and she got angry. She told me that I would have to wait until the end of the night at 4am to retrieve my coat if it's there. Now remember...I had just recently spoken to this person upon entry telling them how much I could not wait to come back. However, it was like she was talking to someone off the street looking to steal a coat. Next what happens is equally bizarre. I remembered the number "53" and told her it was a black vest puffer with "Old Navy" behind the collar. She made me wait to clear people in line as I was unsure I'd she was actually going to make me wait to get a winter jacket on a 40 degree night. The line clears and she verifies the description of my jacket to look for it. "Why she didn't just look up by the number I told her is also puzzling". Ironically, the jacket was one of the first hanging up since I got there early around 10:30. When she gave it back, she was STILL rude about it saying that I thought Old Navy would be on the back. You we're descriptive. In my head I was like..."is this chic for real?". So many thoughts run through my head and I'm more than disappointed. I showed her the collar with "Old Navy" on the back and put money in the bowl just to be an a##hole and return the favor. This person's spirit has nothing to do with the music or vibe in the club. It's like night and day. I am new to Seattle but ironically most people I know here are in music industry and were actually the ones who introduced me to this place. I don't know if this was prejudicial or not (I'm an African American male) but honestly the way this woman acted it doesn't matter. Unfortunately this encounter was more than enough to check out other places. I can dance anywhere.

Popped in once with some friends one night. Overall had a fun experience. House isn't my first choice in music but vibed pretty well with everyone there. Easy to meet new people and make new friends. Welcoming to all. The environment and ambiance marches the energy given: vibrant, fun and loud. The only downside is the long line at the bar and restrooms. Fortunately there are two areas with restrooms. One inside and one outside in the loft area. I can proudly say this place is on my list of a fun night out!

Three floors with different vibes and music. Haven't seen anything like this is in Seattle so far. The dress code is laid back and it seems anything goes. This isnt really a NYC type formal dance club. It's has a more laid-back vibe. The bar on the ground floor is more of a lounge. The 2nd floor is more of a European dance club and the 3rd floor has a rooftop/open air dancefloor overlooking the Starbucks HQ. On the night I was there the crowd was very diverse in terms of both age and ethnicity which was surprising and great to see. The bar servers cocktails that are worthy of a speakeasy. 5 stars overall!

Best house music club in Seattle! Awesome rooftop too. And when the kitchen is open, which is not always, the food is delicious!

Definitely not worth the overcharge at the door. No separate bathrooms, you're in a line for a good 30 minutes at least.

$20 cover. Security is TRASH. Drinks are overpriced and taste horrible. Music is decent. You're better off throwing a party in your garage.

Ever since I moved here from Los Angeles in 2012 I've been looking for a club that plays terrific deep house music and has that underground vibe.

Mostly goth I think, with a sprinkle of punk. Leather is definitely in at this club. Security is everywhere. You must be vaccinated to get in, and show proof! They frisk you at the door and THEN they use the metal detector wand on you. Once inside there are a variety of VIP booths. If you are a nobody like me, and even get NEAR one of these, you are immediately met by nasty security folk who rudely shoosh you away. "These booths are VIP only.." There are also roaming security people. So many of them I was in awe. I guess they really have to be on alert for the riff-raff? "Well what the heck were you doing there Tony if you're so old?" Hey watch it, you'll be old too one day! That said, I'm not sure . Oh yes, I somehow misread an event on EventBrite and bought a ticket. Since I'm from out of town I had assumed this place was an actual stage! And that there was live music. NOT. It's all DJ stuff. Well, interestingly, YELP decided to use MY picture of the light show over the bar as the headline shot. So, maybe I WAS there for a reason? Anyway if you are a youngster over 21 and under 30, you will most likely have a good time. I seem to recall going to discos quite a bit when I was that age. The space is kind of a maze once you enter. The dance floor is a decent size, with lots of booths for the best seats. In fact, the DJ even got off his stage to start walking along the high beams of the booths and was interacting with everyone. It was a fun vibe. It took forever to get drinks though. We decided to not stay very long due to how crowded it was and with such a long line to get drinks on a Saturday night, close to midnight. Staff was friendly though and liked that they played some good music, like hits from the early 2000's! Oh yeah!

Now, first things first--the atmosphere? Absolutely darling. Soft lighting, fresh flowers on the table, and everything just so clean you could practically eat off the floor (though of course we behaved ourselves, bless it). It had that cozy, peaceful feeling that just makes you want to sit, sip your sweet tea, and talk about all the Lord's blessings. And the food... well, let me testify. I ordered the fried chicken, and honey, it was crispy in a way that felt almost divinely inspired. Juicy, flavorful, not a single corner cut. The mashed potatoes were smooth as silk--honestly, I told my husband they reminded me of what manna must've tasted like if it came with butter. And don't even get me started on the biscuits. Light, fluffy, and served warm--just the way the Good Lord intended.

There's a good amount of seating in the platform area and a large open floor in the middle. I never really do coat check because I'm paranoid about not having my things on me, but the one here is easy and reliable. The only real issue was the photo booth which only worked for the first half hour or so. I'm assuming it ran out of film or something because at some point, it just kept taking people's money without taking any photos, which was brought up to the staff. This isn't necessarily on Showbox since the photo booth is provided by a vendor, but I would've appreciated an "out of order" sign. If this happens to you, you can visit the vendor's website and call for a refund!
