The view of the stage from closer up in the GA area, some what stage right.
Will L.

We've been to a number of concerts at Showbox and generally enjoy the venue. Some pointers that will improve your experience: - They inspect all bags outside the front door. If you have a big bag, laptop, or other larger items, they force you to check them. Not outrageous, just be prepared for it. - Come early. If you're coming with general admission tickets, finding a spot to sit is next to impossible. You'll likely be standing (and maybe dancing!). That said, if you're reasonably early, you might find a spot where you can lean against railings or a wall. Of course, if you dig being right up at the stage, you need to come very early for that. - You can also get a VIP entry pass, which will allow you to jump the line for entry. - I don't think I've ever been to a concert at the Showbox where the audio was not really loud, sometimes ear-splitting. Bring ear plugs just in case. - We once had Emerald Club tickets. Now that's the real deal! They'll meet you at the door and walk you to your reserved table. The tables in the Emerald Club all have a good view of the stage, and you will be waited on for your drinks. (If you can hear the waiter, of course.) - Parking downtown can be expensive, and street parking can be a bit of a scramble. I usually catch the light rail to the Showbox. It's only a few blocks from the Westlake Station. Overall, a nice venue that we come back to time and again.

Boxes full of unsold merch. Have to pay VIP or fast pass just to get merch at this venue, and then they don't even know how to sell it all.

First off, we got to the venue an hour early so that we could get merch for the first world tour of the K-pop group called StayC. Unbeknownst to us, there was a fast pass. We got out tickets on presale and we did not see a presale for fast pass. So even though there is already a VIP, there is a huge number of people jumping ahead of you in line because of the extra sale of fast pass, which is basically a classist money grub move. So we got there an hour early, VIP line got in early, and then all the fast pass people jumped in front of our spot. It took an additional 30 minutes to get inside. The line did not move for twenty minutes straight after the doors opened. So to summarize, we got there at 5:30, the doors opened at 6:30 and we weren't in until 7 pm. The show started at 8:00, so we waited another hour on top of the hour and a half to get in, for merch inside. Then they cut us off because the show started. Okay, fine. We got in line for merch again 30 minutes before the show ended. A total of three hours waited! We were not the only ones! A huge crowd of people squished into the merch area and it was borderline unsafe due to heat and human compression. At the end of the show they sold like 5 hoodies and then told us to kick rocks. Why they even sold the few hoodies that they did? I don't know. There was a large amount of boxes full of merch that was visibly unsold. Never in my history of show going have I ever not been able to get my merch. The showbox is classist, only allowing VIP and fast pass ticket holders to get merch, and then not even attempting to sell all the items they had. Buying merch, especially from a K-pop group such as StayC is not easy online, due to them being international, all the way from Korea. The showbox only sold items to those who were giving them more money for VIP or fast pass. Totally classist, and mismanaged, treating regular patrons like garbage. Will avoid this venue at all costs if possible. Beware of this place being an absolute mess.

Great venue for a concert. Made it intimate and fun. Would have loved a few more benches or stools but who needs them when you're dancing. Layout by bathroom made it hard to not get lined up while balancing on the stairs. Female bartender managed a dual pay station bar with insane speed!!

ADA seating view.

I've caught him in Portland, OR, and out on the seas. Ronnie actually played Portland the day before! I've been meaning to check out Jazz Alley, so when I heard about the opportunity to be awarded tickets to the show, I jumped on it. Jazz Alley is a lovely setup inside. The space feels sophisticated while still cozy and welcoming. and the service was spot on. We arrived early for dinner and I ordered the Beef Tenderloin Brochette Salad. My friend ordered the sole. At first I was hesitant to order this salad, thinking the beef might be chewy, but the server assured me it was tender--and it absolutely was. Perfect medium rare and truly fork-tender. My friend LOVED her sole entree. The show itself had fantastic sound quality, along with the staging and lighting. I'll be back up at Jazz Alley for sure! I've already checked out the calendar. 2026 #5

Now on my earlier review I expressed that I would like to see Jazz Alley improve on its health department rating of "good" on a future visit. Well, the future visit was last night and the rating still "good." I am not sure what's the issue but I can't imagine they can not achieve "excellent!" Anyway, the dishes we tried were the Lobster and Scallop ( Maine Lobster and seared sea Scallops) mac and cheese with penne pasta and the Vegetable Lasagna which included pasta with eggplant, spinach, mushrooms, basil, ricotta, parmesan and mozzarella, served on San Marzano tomato sauce and topped with pesto were delicious. Kudos to the kitchen but they've got to get the overall food management thing under control.

I have to look far and wide for anything like that in Seattle.(Still a native, so put down the pitch forks) Here it was. It was $25/person and my husband and I are trying to be prudent with money. It is very, very hard to save when you can't go out for less than $100 these days. I work in education so.... yeah. I thought we were late to the show so I asked for a discount on the cover. They said the band just started and they couldn't do that. I apologized and said I wasn't trying to haggle at all. The staff was very kind to us, even tho we were waffling. I've come to expect the cold front. The bartender who served me at the comedy show just before the Tavern refused to make any human contact. He just handled my cash and handed me my drink, like a robot. I still have warm blood pumping through my veins. Tractor Tavern was so warm and friendly. They gave us time to talk about it outside. We stepped outside. The music was percolating through the glass. I am a classic rock junkie. I took us back in. At the bar, I asked for a double. The bartender moved to the side to reveal a sign that said "no doubles". I laughed and apologized. He was kind and made a friendly joke. I seriously don't expect anyone to be nice to me anymore. I expect a chilly silence. This was so welcoming and warm. I wasn't treated like a jerk even tho some of my questions could warrant that response. They allowed me to be new and be human. The music was amazing. Let the children lose it. Let the children use it. Let all the children boogie. Thank you for keeping the human vibe alive and friendly. We will be back.

I hate being fleeced on drinks after paying a high amount to get into a concert. The bartenders were nice as were the security personnel. I, my wife, and her friend stopped by for New Year's Drinks around 6, and about 6:30 or so, made the mistake of asking Tim Duvall, the clearly drunken before 7:00 PM owner of the establishment, whether outside food can be brought into the bar. This led to his regaling us with an extended and utterly unsolicited history of the bar. He then invited himself to sit with us, halfway into the seat before slurring a "Can I sit down?" to insert himself into our booth. We then moved to another unsolicited conversation, this time about politics. Now, to be clear - I have no doubt that I and a sober Tim Duvall probably agree on most of our politics. This did not stop him from berating me as I agreed with his point, loudly escalating and yelling as I tried to agree with him (again... to be clear, I DIDN'T disagree his political view) until he stood and began yelling that I was kicked out. As I stood to talk on him, he became VERY comfortable with putting his hands on me, grabbing my sweatshirt to move me. I was NOT about to challenge that as a Black man new to Seattle that doesn't know how the police would handle things. I need to be very specific about how quickly this man felt comfortable touching me, grabbing my sweater to "drag" me. This is the step that is WAY over the line. I would genuinely like to recommend this place, as I'm looking for bars that offer sugar cane soda.
