    Eggplant Parm & Veal Parm
    Michael D.

One of the best Italian dinners we've had in Seattle! Came for Happy Hour and got three of the app specials on that menu. The Calamari was fantastic! The breading was very well-seasoned and super crispy while the calamity itself was cooked perfectly tender. The side of marinara was delicious. The Caesar Salad was one of the best house-made dressings I've ever had. The romaine was fresh and crisp. And rather than large hard croutons, they do a dusting of croutons crumbs which gave every bite its own unique crunch. The Garlic Bread was great as well. The Veal and Eggplant Parmesan dinners were perfect. Definitely the best eggplant we've found in Seattle. Again, the marinara was excellent and the fresh mozzarella was creamy and delicious. Lastly, the restaurant is very beautiful with a nice, open view kitchen and large windows to its Cap Hill neighborhood for good people watching. Our server was very sweet and attentive. Will definitely be back!

We went here for Valentine's Day and they had a special Valentine's prix fixe that I decided to do that was really reasonable for if you're hungry and/or want to try lots of things. Everything we had was tasty. I would love to come back and try the eggplant parm! The service was good and the food came out fairly quickly but still in courses. It was very red and vibe lighting as it got darker with the neon sign and it filled up quickly. There's counter seating in front of the kitchen which was cool, table seating by the windows, or the bar (Bar Tango) which has a separate name but seems to be serving all the same things. If you go after 5:30 you probably need a reservation.

Decided to give this new restaurant on the hill a try. Service was good and attentive. I went during happy hour just to feel the place out as I heard it was on the pricier side. The food was decent, I wish there was a bit more flavor to the Alfredo sauce. It was a comforting dish though. Adding 4 shrimp costs an extra $9, which was not worth it in my opinion. Would definitely pick chicken over the Shrimp if I were to order that again. Calamari was good but I didn't love that it was served at the same time as my pasta. It was pretty heavy to eat both of those at the same time. I also didn't realize there was potato or some other vegetable that was also fried in the calamari mix. It was pretty good and the spicy marinara sauce was tasty to dip it in. The music and lighting was a nice vibe. Definitely a fun place to go. I would be interested in coming in again and trying their Caesar salad and lasagna dishes. Maybe something with a stronger flavor profile.

New Italian restaurant in Capitol Hill. It's certainly eye catching w the huge sign indoors that so bright that it works as a sign for the restaurant outside. Once inside it's got a cool, bar like atmosphere, with an open kitchen and red lighting everywhere. The photos of the food didn't turn out too great because of the lighting but the food was good. Eggplant parm: My favorite. The eggplant was cheesy and the tomato sauce perfectly complemented the cheesiness of the eggplants. Gambas: The plump shrimp bathed in a buttery garlicky sauce was a delicious appetizer Vongole pasta: This could've used a bit more seasoning in my opinion. The noodles itself tasted good but the sauce was very light. I would've liked to taste a little more of the clam in the pasta itself since I really enjoyed the clams, juicy and perfectly cooked.

tried the lasagna and bruschetta and they were both just okay. I felt like the lasagna was fine, a bit soft / mushy and the bruschetta was kind of basic in flavors just tomatoes and bread. Overall was just fine but wouldn't recommend it. Service was pretty nice, the waiter did forget one of my friends drinks but remembered the remaining 4/5 but they were nice about it.

We were craving pasta and also wanted to try a new spot so landed on the new uncle dom's. The prices are definitely on the higher end for meals however totally worth the price. The chicken parm was super juicy and crispy, and sooo much food that in total made three meals lol the location is cozy with mood lighting with complimenting drapery. Our server was super nice and attentive! The only slightly confusing part is the separate space called bar tango but it's actually apart of uncle doms? Has two menus but you can order from both. Not a huge deal just an interesting choice. All in all, will definitely come back!

Visited this place and tried the Seattle food week menu. The place had a line on its opening and we were seated in like 10 min. We had bruschetta and garlic bread for appetizers and both were very tasty! The pasta was also very fresh and tasty. The server was not rushing and giving us enough time between the different courses of the menu. There is enough seating and the staff is welcoming. We had tiramisu for the dessert and was a bit too sweet. Worth the visit for the food week menu!

Eggplant Parmesan (10/10) - savory and stacked eggplant, mozzarella, marinara. Quintessential

I honestly considered gatekeeping this place... Star of the Night: El Diablo. A decadent dessert you haven't tried in Seattle and will not forget how good it is. Came here on a Tuesday around 8 PM during SRW and wasn't expecting much with only one Yelp review and being listed as a bar. But we were beyond surprised. Two hosts greeted us and got us seated immediately. Our server was personable and attentive, and when I waved down a lady for a fork, she practically sprinted to get it with full enthusiasm, ASAP delivery. We scored the best seats by the window to people watch and getting a completely unobstructed view of the chef's counter. Seeing the kitchen in action made the meal feel alive, and made everything more exciting. SERVICE Our waiter was personable, and extremely attentive yet unhurried. She overheard my joke about needing to just "sit" for a moment once I was done scraping my plates clean, and it genuinely made me feel seen. As a customer dining in I really value feeling like my presence is wanted, not just another table being rushed in and out. STARTERS 6.5/10 Toasted Garlic Bread Im not a hater I just prefer my garlic bread to be more pillowy and soft. This one is crisp and offers a generous grating of Parmesan, and a side of that delicious marinara perfect for dunking. 7.5/10 Bruschetta alla Pomodoro Bread was the slightest bit buttery but I personally live for the juxtaposition between a golden crunch and a mountain of perfectly diced, ultra-fresh tomatoes. Drizzled with balsamic glaze and over a bed of lightly seasoned peppery arugula. Light yet satisfying, and got my palette ready for the mains. MAINS 9.5/10 Eggplant Parmesan Absolutely phenomenal with every bite. I love that the breaded eggplant stays crisp all the way through, which is rare yet so essential. The layers are beautifully defined, holding their shape as you cut into them. It's the perfect portion. I really should have taken half of it to go... but I devoured the whole thing on the spot. 9/10 Lasagna Solid rendition. Sauce is tart and flavorful. They mentioned it has been marinating for the entire day and it had me almost asking for a spoon just to scrape up the last bit at the bottom. Comes hot and in a generous portion, perfect if you're hungry and ready to dive in. DESERT 6/10 Tiramisu A delicate, airy dream. Mascarpone takes center stage giving each bite a creamy lift. The coffee flavor whispers rather than hits, but the soft rum note brings it all together beautifully. Not a showstopper for me but it's balanced and elegant and executed beautifully. 10/10 El Diablo Without a doubt the best dessert I've had this year. Fluffy at its core chocolate mousse is dusted over with cocoa powder like tiramisu. It's layered over meringue toasted like campfire s'mores, a little crunch from the nuts, topped with a drizzle of rich tequila caramel sauce, and with just the slightest hint of heat after that first bite... It's over. Can I please have another one of these to-go? The desert itself is generously sized, perfect for sharing. However if you love sweets, to keep the peace, you'll order one for your guest... and one just for yourself. TIP: go now before the Instagram crowd discovers it Not sponsored or comped just sharing because this spot genuinely deserves the love

Amazing chicken parm + pasta! Drinks were amazing!

Huge portions, great cocktails and chicken parm + pasta! Ambience is cute and moody, would highly recommend and will be back soon!

Picture this: beautiful interior, a mean dirty martini, delicious bruschetta (if you say it right), the most confusing lamp I've ever seen.

Chicken parm + pasta. The pasta was honestly even better than the chicken parm, though the chicken was great too.

The First Gentleman was attentive and we got our drinks and an appetizer timely. We ordered our second appetizer with our first server and thats where the service deteriorated. I could hear the table next to us ordered the exact same appetizer as we did 10-15 mins after we did and a new server who must had just clocked in brings them the order literally within 2-3 mins later and the male commented, "oh that was fast" and I thought to myself they got our order. Another 10-15 mins go by and I had to ask "do you know how long our order will take to which she seemed to get annoyed. It could have my energy because by that time I was annoyed. I'm not sure what happened to our original server but he must have gotten off. About 5-10 mins goes by and here it comes. That confirmed the table next to us got our order because of how long it took. They never apologized for their mistake. Doing all that time they never came back to see if we would like another drink. I had to flag someone down. The clincher was we got our bill and there was 22% service charge. That was on me because if I would have seen it I might not have gone. I'm not a fan of automatically charging a service charge. I'm a great tipper but it must be earned. By than I was really annoyed and thought to have a conversation with the manager but let it go. I would not go back. The craft cocktails are spendy but I had no problem with that because they're creative and they earned it by being creative. But the energy and the environment wasn't like the other speak easy bars I visited. It was boring and to top it off the service charge of 22% and the service that came with it sealed it for me. Make sure to read the website on their thought around the 22%.

When the city reopened in 2021, I was eating here almost every day; partly because of convenience, but mainly because the food and service never miss. I've hosted everything here: birthday celebrations, after-work hangs, and dinners with friends and colleagues. Every single time, it's a hit. People walk in, fall in love with the vibe, and walk out talking about the food. The consistency is unreal. They even order food to go. The flavors? Bold, intentional, and layered in a way that makes each dish feel crafted, not just cooked. The presentation is always stunning; plates that look as good as they taste. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they send out. Drinks are equally impressive. Their cocktails are balanced and creative, the kind that make you slow down just to appreciate the mixology behind them. And for anyone planning group outings: reservations here are a breeze. They're incredibly accommodating with large parties, and the service stays sharp even when the place is packed. Attentive, friendly, and perfectly paced; they know how to take care of people. Dead Line checks every box: atmosphere, flavor, presentation, service, and seamless hosting for big groups. It's easily one of the most reliable and enjoyable spots in downtown Seattle, and it's stayed that way for years.

Roquette was a surprisingly small space with a wonderful vibe serving up "destination" bar-worthy cocktails. It reminded me of some of the neighborhood gem cocktail bars that I'd frequented on the East Coast. I grabbed a seat at the bar. Roquette's lineup of cocktails were varied in flavor profile using a wide range of spirits. They also served non-alcoholic offerings which looked equally intriguing as their boozy selections. I started off with the 99 Problems ($28), which, unfortunately, I forgot to note what was in the drink. It was boozy, clever, inventive, and most importantly delicious. My second drink was the Imperium Old Fashioned ($24) made with Westland Whiskey "Roquette" Barrel, Clement Cask Strength Rhum, Old Delicious Apple Brandy, Pineapple, and Spice. It was an excellent, boozy, balanced update to the classic Old Fashioned. Although I went with drinks off their menu, I have no doubt that any of their skilled bar professionals could've crafted me a wonderful cocktail if I had simply requested a classic or something on the fly based on my choice of spirit and desired flavor profile.
