This was such a hidden gem that chat gpt recommended for us. We went twice while on vacation! Such a cool experience and drinks were top tier. Great service 10/10

This was a pretty big disappointment if you are factoring in price 129 for 4 drinks with auto gratuity for a party of 4 Service, host was great and introducing us and getting us seated. But the rest of the team felt like it was more of a chore to check up on us. Quality of experience felt detached from the restaurant since we were tucked away at the bottom of the ramp. It was dark and felt secluded from what we would have liked to see for a first impression. We understand that we didn't have a reservation so this might have contributed to the low quality experience. Would love to give this place another try in the future since there's a lot of good reviews but we'd definitely recommend reconsidering if you're looking to walk in. Overall, expectations were low since we knew we wanted drinks and to hangout for a bit on a slow Sunday Our host was great at checking in and bringing drinks to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday after we informed the second bartender/server who replied with a "uhh yeah" after asking if they did anything for birthdays. Seemed off as a response and didn't really looked like they cared, aside from our host. Felt like it was more of a nuisance that we were stopping by from the team's demeanor. Judging from the restaurant's aesthetics it's definitely romantic and has that rich feeling to it. The drinks were well made and the Oaxaca old fashion is my favorite. Might be worthwhile to check it out with a reservation, but again we'd advise against walk ins if you want to have a memorable first experience.

Our friend took us to this spot, he said it used to be a speakeasy cocktail bar, and it's right under the Amazon Spheres. Reservations are available for parties of up to 6. I would recommend walking in and getting on the waitlist as soon as possible. It took us around 1.5 hr to get seated. All the drinks were unique and tasted amazing. They just launched a new menu recently. The drinks were balanced, and the presentation looked great. The only thing that caught us off guard when closing out the tab was that there is a 22% service charge.

An old high school buddy was up from Portland and recommended this place, an old stomping ground that they carried him out of on more than one occasion. It's a dive. An elegant mess. It's dark. It looks filthy, but it's not. They have a huge selection of libations that reads more like a book than a menu. The prices are a bit on the steep side, but they serve an excellent drink and the atmosphere is extremely intimate and kickin'. They also offer a few small plates, if you like. The waitstaff is incredibly tuned in and to their credit, in their menu, they have a clear message that they'll be charging a 22% service charge that the business will be keeping 100% of. No transparency. All above board. They don't expect or charge gratuities, but you are more than welcome to leave one. You can bet we did. 05/25

Love me a swanky cocktail lounge! The space is dark, sexy, sophisticated. Staff are friendly and helpful in answering questions about the menu. The cocktails I tried were both fab- rifs on classics, nicely balanced. We split a few small plates- the oysters are $$ but the best I've had in a long time. I'd skip the burrata which didn't have any of the pickled rhubarb or salt flavor that the menu teased, but the smoked salmon dip was a winner. Cocktail tables are tiny and there's really not room for more than one plate of food at a time. The reservation is only for 90 minutes, so plan strategically if you plan to order food and more than one round of drinks. It's definitely pricey, and it seems like you need a reservation even early on a Tuesday, so plan ahead if you check it out.

Great place for a fun drink experience! The food was yummy, fantastic hama hama oysters and a delicious flourless brownie. Drinks were exciting and if you are overwhelmed by choice or unsure of what you'll like, the server will ask your taste and deliver something spot on! The vibe is the best, low lighting and seamless decor make for an intriguing atmosphere - always something to look at! Take your time looking around inside, appreciating the interior is half the draw, in my opinion. Also delicious lighting for bathroom selfies if you are so inclined. :)

I love their robust menu and my drink 'Afternoon Tea' was phenomenal. I love that this bar has a very low key presence but once you're in it the impactful experience lingers around. Very friendly staff with accommodating service and care as well. 10/10!

This is an upscale cocktail lounge located right under the Amazon spheres. The place is dimly lit with quirky but interesting decor and gives off a sophisticated vibe. My group made reservations for a Friday night and we were seated promptly in a semi-private room. The menu offers a great selection of cocktails that cater to people with different tastes. My friend asked our server to surprise her with a light and fruity cocktail and she surprised us all with a cocktail in a cat shaped cup called Farrah's Foster. It turned out to be exactly what my friend was looking for! I ordered the El Boho which was also very light and fruity. Another friend ordered the Cortisone which was also delicious. Funny enough, the girls liked their drinks but the guys didn't lol. I don't think you can go wrong with the drinks here as long as you know what you like. The cocktails here are on the pricier side and they also include a 22% gratuity on top of your bill, but we enjoyed our time here and I think it's worth checking out.

This speakeasy is in the middle of the Amazonian balls (iykyk) and it's a very cute and small place that utilizes the space it has very well. Dimly lit, not too loud, fancy interior design, this is a great spot to go for after dinner drinks in Seattle. The drink menu is arranged in a way that the first few pages have drinks with a lower alcohol content and as you turn the pages further, the alcohol content gets stronger, allowing you to choose how you want the rest of your night to go. I ordered the Puerto Escondido and it came in a very cute pink cat mug with a hole in the back for the straw and liquid to pour into. Very fun cocktail lounge atmosphere.

Seattle Cocktail Tour Stop #948347 Swung by here and it was a bit of a double whammy cause ive never been to the amazon spheres when visiting home. Very dark and moody kinda spot, but its super nice. They do have food to go along w those cocktails, but I will say the cocktails here on a bit pricey, so you may only find yourself coming here to try 1 or 2 per visit, but I can say the one I got was pretty damn good. I guess you could also say the drinks here are great for the gram as well. The place was giving big time date vibes, but also it seemed like there were a bunch of amazon meetings with teams or clients around us lol. Worth a try. Check this spot out for their cocktails.

Amazing ambiance that I've been looking for. It's dark and moody like an eccentric collector's library. The service was lovely too, though the night we went we were one of the few parties there. The cocktail list is imaginative and extensive.

To rate this place in 3 words - elegant, stunning and dim-lit. But now let's *deep dive* into a more in-depth review. Located on the side/below the Amazon Spheres, it was quite difficult to find. Reservations open 2 weeks in advance and I strongly suggest to make one! The place was rather small and intimate. Luckily we got a booth and we all ordered 1 round of drinks. The name of the drinks were really interesting and creative with the "deep dive' theme. Because of it's small ambiance, eavesdropping on conversations nearby was inevitable. Out of all the speakeasies and bars in Seattle, this was definitely one of my favorites!

As a self-appointed connoisseur of speakeasies (a title I awarded myself after extensive…read more"research") Needle and Thread sits comfortably at the top of my list. While reservations aren't technically required, let me save you some heartbreak, make one. They only open reservations six days in advance, and this place fills up faster than brunch spots when the sun comes out in Seattle. Totally worth the planning. The experience starts downstairs at Tavern Law restaurant, where you let the host know you're headed to Needle and Thread. From there, you're directed to a mysterious locked door next to a telephone. Yes, an actual phone. Pick it up, give your reservation name once someone answers, and bam! You're buzzed upstairs like you've just passed a very classy secret test. Once inside, you're greeted and escorted to your seat, and the magic really begins. There's no drink menu because why limit creativity? Instead, the staff plays cocktail therapist, asking about your favorite spirits, flavors, and moods. Based on your answers, they craft a completely custom drink tailored to your palate. Every cocktail we tried was spot-on. Balanced, intentional, and clearly made by people who treat mixology like an art form rather than a guessing game. Bonus points: You can request the coaster they took your order on, which lists the ingredients so you can attempt to recreate it at home (results may vary depending on your confidence and liquor cabinet.) Not to be overshadowed by the drinks, the Sockeye Salmon Crostini was a fantastic fresh, flavorful appetizer and the perfect companion to a night of bespoke cocktails. They have other heartier food as well, but we had dinner reservations elsewhere for the evening. Between the immersive entrance, outstanding service, thoughtful drinks, and authentic speakeasy atmosphere, this isn't just a bar, it's an experience. If you're in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle, Needle and Thread is a must try.

Instagram : @yeapeats…read more I was excited to try Needle & Thread since it's often described as a speakeasy, but the "hidden" aspect didn't quite live up to expectations. Unlike other speakeasies that feel truly hidden, you actually just walk into Tavern Law, check in with the hostess, and let them know you have a reservation. They then guide you to a telephone where you repeat your reservation name before being let upstairs. It's a fun concept, but not especially secretive, and they're pretty strict about not letting you up early unless it's very empty. Once seated, we actually waited almost 20 minutes before being served with no acknowledgement. We ended up having to flag down the manager just to bring attention to our table, which was disappointing given the experience they're aiming for. The waitress asks a series of questions about your preferences--likes, dislikes, and flavor inspirations--so the bartenders can create custom cocktails for you. If you're knowledgeable about alcohol, this is probably a dream. If you're not (like me), it can feel a little intimidating, but our waitress was patient and did her best to guide us through it. The drinks themselves were excellent. Even the shots were customized, which was a nice touch. The vibe upstairs is chill and relatively quiet, making it a great place to relax and talk. Food is the same menu as downstairs at Tavern Law, so nothing new there. The only downside--and unfortunately a noticeable one--was an interaction with the female bartender (not our waitress). Based on the questions we were asked, my friend gave a mix of savory and sweet preferences, since we were told these were just inspirations. However, the female bartender came over sounding visibly annoyed and said, "So do you want savory or sweet? You're giving contradicting answers." The tone felt unnecessarily rude, especially since we were just following the process as it was explained to us. Overall, the drinks were great and the concept is unique, but between the delayed service and that negative interaction, it definitely put a damper on the experience.

A big part of the Founders Club experience is the bookshelf entrance, and I had really hoped my partner could experience that excitement for the first time, but it ended up feeling a bit anticlimactic. I started off with the 99 Problems ($28), which, unfortunately, I forgot to note what was in the drink. It was boozy, clever, inventive, and most importantly delicious. My second drink was the Imperium Old Fashioned ($24) made with Westland Whiskey "Roquette" Barrel, Clement Cask Strength Rhum, Old Delicious Apple Brandy, Pineapple, and Spice. It was an excellent, boozy, balanced update to the classic Old Fashioned. Although I went with drinks off their menu, I have no doubt that any of their skilled bar professionals could've crafted me a wonderful cocktail if I had simply requested a classic or something on the fly based on my choice of spirit and desired flavor profile. Cooling Water (4/5) The Cooling water was a nice drink as well. I would definitely say the flavors were a little light on this drink but the frozen lychee that was a cute garnish. Xa Lad (5/5) I thought the salad was really good with the dressing, the croutons were a little too crunchy on some of the parts. I would definitely order this again cause it was a good portion size. Nachos (5/5) The crab nachos were really good, the cheese sauce had some fish sauce infused into which gave it more of an asian flare. The way that real crab meat was incorporated was good as well. There was an assortment of veggies that tasted slightly pickled that made it a little refreshing. I think if they decided to do wonton chips, it would put it over the top but still very tasty overall.

This is a Speakeasy bar located on the upstairs of a regular pho and banh mi restaurant. Upon…read morewalking up, the staff asked us to use the tablet for queue despite no on waiting ahead. The space is small, with a main center bar area and few small tables around so I understand that it could just be crowd control. The menu had a lot of fun drinks and snacks, including pho in a cup, presented like an instant cup noodles ramen. We ended up getting a few things to try. Overall, enjoyed the creativeness of the drinks and vibe. Prices are a bit high, but we had a good time!
