The drinks were really good, and I liked that they had several unique options too. The bartenders were friendly and helpful. The bar is quite dark, but it's got a really unique feel with all the art hanging on every possible wall space. You can buy the art too which is really cool! It very much felt like hiding out and having a few drinks!

My friends and I were visiting from California and thought we could use a couple of drinks to relax after a long day. We came across The Hideout and end up loving the place! *Note that the bars now require all guests to show a proof of fully vaccination.* We were a party of four, but the other two friends had to go back to the car to get their vaccination card, so me and the other friend had some extra time to study the menu and chat with one of the bartender a little. Apparently, it was JR's first day. She studied the menu with us and gave us some pretty good recommendations according to what we are looking for. I noticed that she would look at the recipe before she makes each drink. Props to her for taking this job so seriously and making sure that she's making the drink on point. All four drinks in the pictures I included are really good. I don't think I've ever been to a place where I enjoyed every drink that were ordered for the table. Will most definitely come back to The Hideout again the next time I'm in Seattle. Hopefully JR will still be there!

Came down to this low key bar yesterday for a drink and I'm totally disappointed! I was surprised by how rude and unpleasant the guy who made my drink. To think of all the good times a bartender surprised and made a nice cocktail for me, this one was mean, the 2 stars is entirely because of him. I asked him if there are any sweet cocktails he'd recommend for me and also added, I'm okay with any kind of alcohol base- vodka, gin/rum. He stopped me in between and asked 'you want sweeter right?' I didn't mind and continued telling him about the alcohol. He stooped me over again and said loudly 'ok I ll make you a sweet drink, im sure you ll like it. It's so good' As I was in a good mood, I didn't mind and was catching up with a friend. To my utter disbelief he made me a mohito and repeated loudly, this is your sweet drink. I was taken aback and didn't know what to say, he quickly gave us the bill, the damn drink was $16, I can make mohito hundred times better than him. First you don't listen to a customer while talking and then give a boring drink, Listen people!

No food. Expensive drinks. If you want a dark room to drink go for it. But I'm a sober companion so not a lot to draw me back.

The whole space has this intimate, luxurious atmosphere that makes the experience feel special the moment you walk in. We tried the Japanese Breakfast, which is a savory cocktail and such a pleasant surprise. It genuinely has miso soup notes. It's very unique and creative. I also had El Boho (flavorful but not overly sweet). The staff are always friendly and very knowledgeable when it comes to recommending drinks. The prices are on the higher end, but personally I think they're totally worth it for the creativity and overall experience. This is the spot I bring all my out-of-town friends to because the ambiance, vibes, and drinks are just that good. Truly one of Seattle's gems.

The First Gentleman was attentive and we got our drinks and an appetizer timely. We ordered our second appetizer with our first server and thats where the service deteriorated. I could hear the table next to us ordered the exact same appetizer as we did 10-15 mins after we did and a new server who must had just clocked in brings them the order literally within 2-3 mins later and the male commented, "oh that was fast" and I thought to myself they got our order. Another 10-15 mins go by and I had to ask "do you know how long our order will take to which she seemed to get annoyed. It could have my energy because by that time I was annoyed. I'm not sure what happened to our original server but he must have gotten off. About 5-10 mins goes by and here it comes. That confirmed the table next to us got our order because of how long it took. They never apologized for their mistake. Doing all that time they never came back to see if we would like another drink. I had to flag someone down. The clincher was we got our bill and there was 22% service charge. That was on me because if I would have seen it I might not have gone. I'm not a fan of automatically charging a service charge. I'm a great tipper but it must be earned. By than I was really annoyed and thought to have a conversation with the manager but let it go. I would not go back. The craft cocktails are spendy but I had no problem with that because they're creative and they earned it by being creative. But the energy and the environment wasn't like the other speak easy bars I visited. It was boring and to top it off the service charge of 22% and the service that came with it sealed it for me. Make sure to read the website on their thought around the 22%.

When the city reopened in 2021, I was eating here almost every day; partly because of convenience, but mainly because the food and service never miss. I've hosted everything here: birthday celebrations, after-work hangs, and dinners with friends and colleagues. Every single time, it's a hit. People walk in, fall in love with the vibe, and walk out talking about the food. The consistency is unreal. They even order food to go. The flavors? Bold, intentional, and layered in a way that makes each dish feel crafted, not just cooked. The presentation is always stunning; plates that look as good as they taste. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they send out. Drinks are equally impressive. Their cocktails are balanced and creative, the kind that make you slow down just to appreciate the mixology behind them. And for anyone planning group outings: reservations here are a breeze. They're incredibly accommodating with large parties, and the service stays sharp even when the place is packed. Attentive, friendly, and perfectly paced; they know how to take care of people. Dead Line checks every box: atmosphere, flavor, presentation, service, and seamless hosting for big groups. It's easily one of the most reliable and enjoyable spots in downtown Seattle, and it's stayed that way for years.

The front of the bar is standard tables with the back of the bar having cute seating areas. I got the gingerbread expresso martini which was really yummy! Our drinks did take a while to get to us despite sitting right at the bar but we did have a table of 7 so understood. We got our appetizers before our drinks: Brussel sprouts (SO YUMMY), oysters, and truffle fries (towered in parm!). These went down super quick. I then ordered the pork arepa for my entree and wow...not what i was expecting but will never regret! One of my favorite dishes I've had in a while that I'll keep thinking about. All the flavors worked so well together and the arepa itself was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The pork was sweeter due to the marinade and not salty at all which i preferred. Will 100% be back!

Belltown

Roquette was a surprisingly small space with a wonderful vibe serving up "destination" bar-worthy cocktails. It reminded me of some of the neighborhood gem cocktail bars that I'd frequented on the East Coast. I grabbed a seat at the bar. Roquette's lineup of cocktails were varied in flavor profile using a wide range of spirits. They also served non-alcoholic offerings which looked equally intriguing as their boozy selections. I started off with the 99 Problems ($28), which, unfortunately, I forgot to note what was in the drink. It was boozy, clever, inventive, and most importantly delicious. My second drink was the Imperium Old Fashioned ($24) made with Westland Whiskey "Roquette" Barrel, Clement Cask Strength Rhum, Old Delicious Apple Brandy, Pineapple, and Spice. It was an excellent, boozy, balanced update to the classic Old Fashioned. Although I went with drinks off their menu, I have no doubt that any of their skilled bar professionals could've crafted me a wonderful cocktail if I had simply requested a classic or something on the fly based on my choice of spirit and desired flavor profile. Yes, the prices on the two drinks I ordered were pretty steep, but they were comparable to prices I've paid in Las Vegas. Plus, I don't have a problem with paying a premium for a well-made cocktail made with premium ingredients in a comfortable, welcoming setting (the drunken guy next to me who tried to engage with me in a political discussion excluded). Bottom-line: Roquette was a revelation. It served up two of the best cocktails that I've had this year. I can't recommend it enough and it'll be at the top of my list of places to hit the next time I'm in town.
