Underrated spot. Came here on a Wednesday evening, drank a couple cocktails and enjoyed live Jazz. The music, drinks, and vibe were all excellent. Not often that my wife and I will enjoy each other's cocktails since I like spirit-forward whisky based drinks and she prefers cocktails a bit sweeter and more tart, but these were flavorful and well-balanced. Because what happened to me... was personal. There are three drinks on the menu that basically scream, "someone in here grew up on hip-hop and never emotionally left the 90s." We've got: ATLiens Aquemini 2 ____ a Butterfly (fill in the blank, but if you know, you KNOW Kendrick Lamar, 2015) Now listen this is not "aqua-mini." This is Outkast. Andre 3000. Big Boi. Southern rap royalty. It is pronounced Ah-kwim-in-eye The waitress looks me dead in my soul and says, "Oh, you mean the Aqua-mini." I was transported out of my body. Now here's the issue: I would've let it go...if a Kendrick Lamar song wasn't also on the menu. Because why are we confidently mispronouncing Outkast while casually referencing Pulitzer-level rap on the same drink list? At that point I realized I was surrounded by people under 34 who had never had to wait for TRL, decode a CD booklet, or defend Southern rap. No one in my group shared my emotional breakdown. Not one gasp. Prices & Drinks (important part): Let's talk about the $18 drink situation. I paid $18 for an Aquemini and received...vibes. Not buzz. At $18, I expect at least a whisper of alcohol. Instead, I got decorative hydration. My husband's Blueberry Smash? Better. More flavor. More personality. So now I'm sitting there thinking: I paid premium pricing for a drink I had to defend and pronounce correctly myself... and still left sober. Food: I was a little hungry and ordered fried shrimp (not on the online menu) The shrimp was fine. Just fine. The dipping sauce tried its best, and I respect that effort. Why is everything either wagyu, mussels, duck, or something you need a culinary degree to pronounce like gruyere but I can't just get a basic bar plate? Wagyu sliders, chicken bites would have been nice because I don't usually go out thinking, "Tonight feels like Wagyu and mussels at the bar." Service: I'm from Los Angeles, so I'm familiar with urban sketchy with a side of vibes. The activities near the parking spaces was very sketch. I was with a group of 8, including my husband so I felt protected by numbers. Inside, it was a Friday night but surprisingly empty. The music was loud enough to feel like a party, but quiet enough that you could still hear each other. We tried to rearrange seating to accommodate our group and the waitress said "I'm not walking around you, so keep this aisle clear." Which was fair, but also, there are gentler ways to say "I need this walkway." Or tell us the better way to set up seating in the empty bar. I didn't have a second drink frankly because I was never asked. Most places I go the waitress will come and ask if I want another drink. I visited Provisions with a couple of my friends on a Saturday, Valentine's Day. We walked so we didn't have to worry about parking. There was a good number of other customers when we arrived, but we were still seated promptly. There was also a singles' event being hosted by the couches area. The employees were nice & accommodating throughout our meal. Fortunately, we also made it to their happy hour. I had their samo cocktail, my friend got their blueberry smash, & our other friend went with a white wine. We also ordered the patatas bravas, truffle bread, & crispy mussels for the table. We accidentally got served the crab beignets, instead of our truffle bread, but they brought it out to us after & gave us the crab beignets free-of-charge. Would visit again! read more

I came here on a first date and sat at a small table facing the bar. Drinks were delicious and def had the craft cocktail vibe down. We happened to be there during a pop-up event that had great food! The chandelier and teal colored couches are my favorite, and really elevate the space. Unfortunately, I had a scary experience with my date... but the bartender saved the day! I had gone to the restroom (which was lovely btw) and when I was walking back the bartender stopped me to let me know he saw my date doing something weird with my drink, and offered to make me a new one. This place is all the vibes and is one of my favorite cocktail lounges in Seattle. New York/Manhattan is one of my favorite places in the world and I've always loved Belltown because it feels a little bit like the NYC Lower East side to me. BT Provisions has always felt like your local, immaculate NYC lower east side cocktail lounge to me and that's one of the reasons I love it so much. Upon entering, you're greeted with low lighting and interesting quiet vib-ey music. Upon sitting at the bar, you can see the beautiful building, instagram worthy neon logo light, and the bar with a fantastic view of 2nd ave out the window. They have a full kitchen (I've never tried the food), but I can attest that the cocktails are fantastic. John and Matthew have served me here before and the service is top notch! I'm always a fan of new cocktail bars that open up near me and this place is no different. Belltown Provisions is located on the corner of Blanchard St and 2nd Ave, next to Have a Heart. Note that they're currently closed Mondays and Tuesdays. The inside is not huge but has a lounge-y feel that's intimate and different from a lot of the other bars in the Belltown area. My first drink was the ole what's her name ($14) which is spirit forward but has a slight peaty flavor. This drink uses a peaty Irish whiskey which is unique because I usually don't associate Irish whiskey to peaty flavor profiles but it works. It's like an elevated old fashioned with extra levels of complexities. My second drink was the we pillage we plunder ($14) which is rum forward and slightly sweet. It has a bunch of bitter notes from the carpano antica and the various bitters. Between the two drinks I preferred the ole what's her name more. I also like the flavor descriptions that they have above each cocktail as it's helpful for cocktail newbies and watering hole experts alike. They don't serve food right now but what they lack in that they make up for in their solid cocktail creations. I'll definitely come back and try more of their drinks. read more

Walking around aimlessly around Seattle, looking for a place for pre-dinner drinks. Then I remembered I had bookmarked Belltown Provisions on Yelp! I'm so glad we were able to squeeze this bar in during our trip. Belltown Provisions is located on 2nd Ave. We went around 5pm on a Friday and it was totally dead. We actually thought it was closed since it looked dark inside. But luckily, they were open! And because it was so empty, we were able to have a seat on these plush, cozy couches in front of a very instagrammable plant wall! A staff member dropped off some water on the table & told us to order our drinks at the bar. There wasn't too much interaction & was totally okay for us. The drinks took a little while, but they were very intricately made so I welcomed the wait. We didn't order any food (they had a small food menu). Just drinks for us! And the drinks were delicious. I unfortunately forgot the name of my drink & didn't take a photo of the menu (rookie move!) but I think the title of the cocktail had the word pink in the name? And it had vodka.. anyways it was straight up delicious. It was citrusy, just sweet enough & you couldn't taste the burn of the vodka.. a dangerous combination! Our entire party really enjoyed their drinks too! It was quite nice having almost the whole bar to ourselves, but I can imagine this place being really fun later at night when it's more social! read more

I've been here 3 times now just for their drinks. I admittedly come here because I'm able to sit inside with my dog and they happen to have great drinks. Each time I've ordered a different cocktail off their menu and have highly enjoyed each one. I've had a chance to talk to the owner, John, who has a lot of exciting plans for this place. He's operated other popular restaurants in LA and has lots of experience in the industry. Currently, they are in the midst of setting up pop-up food for specific days. This place is still a work in progress as it just opened this year during COVID, but I enjoy the decor and cocktails. I'm excited to see how this place grows to be a Belltown staple. read more

JESUS. THIS PLACE IN ALL CAPS IN AMMAAAZING! We dined with Chef Kyle tonight and his food was excellent as ALWAYS! The ribeye steak is a must! He prepared ours "medium" with his special Blue Cheese Sauce drizzled over the top. It melted in my mouth. We have used Chef Kyle for some of our personal and corporate events and he never disappoints. We had no idea that he was now partnering with Belltown Provisions! The restaurant was already very nice but now it's at an entirely different level! If you're in Belltown or even if you're not, you have to come try this place-lol! Their service is grand! A Belltown Provisions review wouldn't be complete without the back story. This bar recently opened a couple months ago and is about 2 blocks from where I live. I've been here probably a dozen times now and tasted almost everything on the menu. We've gotten to know the owners a little bit. John and Joey are the owners. John's background is managing high-end steakhouses in Malibu. He is a trained sommelier and taught at UCLA. He has amazing taste and strives for perfection in every detail. Joey has been a bartender for more than 15 years and has an immense amount of knowledge on cocktails and a wide amount of incredible ingredients and spirits on hand. These guys know what they are doing. I'd describe the feel as a lounge. There are comfy spots to sit at the bar or lounge in couches with 6 of your friends. It feels private, despite being in the middle of many others. The food is incredible. The burger might be my favorite in Seattle and is cooked beautifully (small amount of pink). The tostada, crab sliders and fish tacos are also very good. read more
