Peppermint Bark Espresso Martini
Neel K.

WOW!!! This is my new favorite bar in Seattle. I had never had an espresso martini and have always avoided them because I was scared of being simultaneously struck with bitter coffee and burning vodka. BUT WOW, this drink tasted SOOO good. It had the perfect element of sweetness to cut the coffee's bitterness. The vodka is perfectly covered such that you feel a little sensation on your tongue from it on each sip and nothing else. When you exhale after each sip, the deeper coffee notes float on your breath and make for a very special two-part experience. 11/10 cocktail. ONTOP OF ALL THAT, their ambience is so good. Their leather couches and paintings make for a super chill atmosphere that still maintains a classy vibe thats perfect for dates or friend hangouts. FOR EVERYTHING HONESTLY!!!

What an absolute hidden treasure we found!! We came to Capitol Hill for drinks but with no plan. We stumbled onto Belmont and enjoyed it so much we came for both our nights in Seattle. Great drinks. They make a good Aperol Spritz. The Red, White & Blue is also a refreshing, delicious cocktail. If you're a whiskey fan, the Don Draper Old Fashioned is the way to go. They do a great Happy Hour here. From 5-7p everyday, they offer select cocktails and a hotdog for $8. And it was a surprisingly tasty hotdog, too! Service is efficient, and everyone was wonderful. Gives off an old-time bar vibe and is the perfect place for a date night.

Definitely a change of pace compared to the surrounding establishments and crowd. This great place for drinks and a conversation. Very relaxing atmosphere. Excellent bartender.

Perfect spot for a pre-theater cocktail before the Paramount. Their $10 Happy Hour runs until 7pm and this French 75 from that menu was delicious! Sunny outdoor seating also extremely relaxing and great for people-watching. Bar tender was also very sweet and kind.

If you're at Starbucks Reserve and want an espresso martini but the line is too long, then walk a couple blocks down to enjoy Belmont! The drinks are normally on the pricier side but are well-worth the money. The happy hour is definitely a good value proposition. They do the classics well with my favorite being their Don Draper Old Fashioned. Their espresso martini is a limited blended frozen drink - so get their early if you want one. The vibe is a relaxed, old-timey speakeasy with plush leather furniture and that film noir lighting.

This place is so cozy, and we loved coming here for a nightcap after a long day of showing our friends, visiting from San Francisco and LA, around the city. We walked by before dinner and were excited to pet their puppy. He's enormous, and we thought he was fake at first until we saw him moving around, lol. The owners were friendly and accommodating of us, even taking the time to give a backstory to them starting this beautiful lounge and bringing some of their SoCal vibes into the mix. We didn't order dinner but did order some apps, so we'll have to come back for the food because some folks in here ordered and it smelled delicious. The cocktails are the star of the show here; you really can't go wrong. There's clearly care in how they craft their cocktails, and we were really happy to have chosen this place to end our night. I highly recommend it. It's good for groups, dates, and business. We will definitely be back!

If you put this under a 5 star you are a hater. Great service. Very laid back spot. Good drinks.

Belmont is the perfect spot for a cozy date night. The atmosphere is inviting with its large leather sofas, palm trees, and oversized rugs, all illuminated by the warm glow of largely melted candle wax. We stopped in for happy hour (we learned happens every day from 5-7 PM) and were not disappointed. The Don Draper Old Fashioned had a classic, smooth taste, while the Aperol Spritz and Liz Lemon offered refreshing, lighter options. The highlight of the evening was the Bangkok Bling--definitely our party's favorite. Highly recommend for a relaxed and stylish evening out! Drinks came out in a jiffy and the service was quick and efficient. Pro tip: If it's a chilly, gloomy, rainy day, or if you really enjoy Chinese dumplings / noodles - place an order across the street at Biang Biang Noodles, they won't disappoint !

Good music, like the ambiance - dark library vibes with leather couches and armchairs. Cocktails are tasty and smooth, but not particularly unique or top notch. Servers were nice and quick, busy night, but not much of a wait.

We like to take guests here for chill but fancy drinks. It's a true lounge, where you can hang out and sip drinks and socialize in oversized chairs and couches. It's a classic decor and the servers are very helpful. I wish the drink list had a little more variety on it but I do like their specials that they do and usually end up ordering from there.

Love the vibes at Belmont. It's great for sitting down and chatting with a group of friends. Came here for a birthday around 10pm on a Saturday with a group of 13 and we were able to get seating luckily. They have a couple of couches and lighting is dimmer. Would be good to take a date here for more romantic drinks since you can actually hear each other. I got the banana stand which is banana martini. The drink itself tasted a like artificial bananas but I liked the brûlée banana on top

Just happened to stop in here when deciding on where to get a drink, and we couldn't have been happier about it! The vibe was wonderful, and our group got to sit in our own little section on a nice leather couch. We didn't have to wait for a table on a Friday night which was so convenient. These drinks were amazing! Specifically, the Bangkok Bling and the Banana Stand were a stand-outs. Highly recommend checking out this cozy spot for some incredible drinks!

I wish they had more food varieties! We loved our drinks here and wanted another round but ended up heading out to another place because we wanted actual food (like fries). Their snack menu includes popcorn, cheese plate, olives and more. However, i do really enjoy their ambiance and drinks. Will definitely be returning again sometime.

The whole space has this intimate, luxurious atmosphere that makes the experience feel special the moment you walk in. We tried the Japanese Breakfast, which is a savory cocktail and such a pleasant surprise. It genuinely has miso soup notes. It's very unique and creative. I also had El Boho (flavorful but not overly sweet). The staff are always friendly and very knowledgeable when it comes to recommending drinks. The prices are on the higher end, but personally I think they're totally worth it for the creativity and overall experience. This is the spot I bring all my out-of-town friends to because the ambiance, vibes, and drinks are just that good. Truly one of Seattle's gems.

The First Gentleman was attentive and we got our drinks and an appetizer timely. We ordered our second appetizer with our first server and thats where the service deteriorated. I could hear the table next to us ordered the exact same appetizer as we did 10-15 mins after we did and a new server who must had just clocked in brings them the order literally within 2-3 mins later and the male commented, "oh that was fast" and I thought to myself they got our order. Another 10-15 mins go by and I had to ask "do you know how long our order will take to which she seemed to get annoyed. It could have my energy because by that time I was annoyed. I'm not sure what happened to our original server but he must have gotten off. About 5-10 mins goes by and here it comes. That confirmed the table next to us got our order because of how long it took. They never apologized for their mistake. Doing all that time they never came back to see if we would like another drink. I had to flag someone down. The clincher was we got our bill and there was 22% service charge. That was on me because if I would have seen it I might not have gone. I'm not a fan of automatically charging a service charge. I'm a great tipper but it must be earned. By than I was really annoyed and thought to have a conversation with the manager but let it go. I would not go back. The craft cocktails are spendy but I had no problem with that because they're creative and they earned it by being creative. But the energy and the environment wasn't like the other speak easy bars I visited. It was boring and to top it off the service charge of 22% and the service that came with it sealed it for me. Make sure to read the website on their thought around the 22%.

When the city reopened in 2021, I was eating here almost every day; partly because of convenience, but mainly because the food and service never miss. I've hosted everything here: birthday celebrations, after-work hangs, and dinners with friends and colleagues. Every single time, it's a hit. People walk in, fall in love with the vibe, and walk out talking about the food. The consistency is unreal. They even order food to go. The flavors? Bold, intentional, and layered in a way that makes each dish feel crafted, not just cooked. The presentation is always stunning; plates that look as good as they taste. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they send out. Drinks are equally impressive. Their cocktails are balanced and creative, the kind that make you slow down just to appreciate the mixology behind them. And for anyone planning group outings: reservations here are a breeze. They're incredibly accommodating with large parties, and the service stays sharp even when the place is packed. Attentive, friendly, and perfectly paced; they know how to take care of people. Dead Line checks every box: atmosphere, flavor, presentation, service, and seamless hosting for big groups. It's easily one of the most reliable and enjoyable spots in downtown Seattle, and it's stayed that way for years.

We got our appetizers before our drinks: Brussel sprouts (SO YUMMY), oysters, and truffle fries (towered in parm!). These went down super quick. I then ordered the pork arepa for my entree and wow...not what i was expecting but will never regret! One of my favorite dishes I've had in a while that I'll keep thinking about. All the flavors worked so well together and the arepa itself was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The pork was sweeter due to the marinade and not salty at all which i preferred. Belltown

Following the sage recommendation of a bartender at Zig Zag Cafe, I made my way into Belltown over…read moreto Roquette. Roquette was a surprisingly small space with a wonderful vibe serving up "destination" bar-worthy cocktails. It reminded me of some of the neighborhood gem cocktail bars that I'd frequented on the East Coast. I grabbed a seat at the bar. Roquette's lineup of cocktails were varied in flavor profile using a wide range of spirits. They also served non-alcoholic offerings which looked equally intriguing as their boozy selections. I started off with the 99 Problems ($28), which, unfortunately, I forgot to note what was in the drink. It was boozy, clever, inventive, and most importantly delicious. My second drink was the Imperium Old Fashioned ($24) made with Westland Whiskey "Roquette" Barrel, Clement Cask Strength Rhum, Old Delicious Apple Brandy, Pineapple, and Spice. It was an excellent, boozy, balanced update to the classic Old Fashioned. Although I went with drinks off their menu, I have no doubt that any of their skilled bar professionals could've crafted me a wonderful cocktail if I had simply requested a classic or something on the fly based on my choice of spirit and desired flavor profile. Yes, the prices on the two drinks I ordered were pretty steep, but they were comparable to prices I've paid in Las Vegas. Plus, I don't have a problem with paying a premium for a well-made cocktail made with premium ingredients in a comfortable, welcoming setting (the drunken guy next to me who tried to engage with me in a political discussion excluded). Bottom-line: Roquette was a revelation. It served up two of the best cocktails that I've had this year. I can't recommend it enough and it'll be at the top of my list of places to hit the next time I'm in town.
