Unpretentious and very welcoming, Josh defies the typical wine connoisseur stereotype. He finds a moment to make sure everyone is attended to even on the busiest of evenings. His staff are also delightfully authentic people. They are equally welcoming and just real for lack of a better word. When I come here I'm treated with a warmth that I only experience at places I'm a regular but here they immediately engaged as though I've always been here. They joke, tell stories, and share laughter that puts me at ease. Barrels is a comfortable wine bar. We headed to a restaurant after and got $14 glass pours that we preferred. In addition to the drink, I got to chatting with the barista and they were very friendly and knowledgeable about coffee and bean roasting. We had a mini history lesson and just came out of the stop very happy. I'm excited to go back and try some of their other menu items!
