Checked out this cool bar in Georgetown known for having tons of local beers. Full Throttle Bottles has plenty of bottles as well as cans. It even has quite a few things on tap. Get a sample of the beers in the area. There's also entertainment provided including live music. A good way to find out about local beers. It's got selections from mostly the Pacific Northwest. There's quite a few and not just those around Seattle. Has quite a few different styles among the choices. It's about $8 a pint. That's kind of a lot, but a lot of these are regional breweries that make smaller batches of these. Best one we had the last time was the Uprise Brewery Fast Forward IPA. This was one of the ones they had on tap. Find it by looking for the cool mural on the outside of the building. It's closed Mondays. This is located next to the Georgetown Trailer Park Mall so you can also go look for some junk or whatever. read more

Another Georgetown gem. Full Throttle has a great selection of packaged beers and ciders to go and the bar. Comfortable size with a few tables for sitting and a great atmosphere. I went on a Saturday afternoon during a street fair, service was quick and the staff was knowledgeable. A great place to try out new favorites and then take them home. Great beer on tap, great beer selection to-go, fun staff and downtown Georgetown has some great spots to hit like Mirage brewing, mezcal tasting nearby, and plenty of others. Just remember if you buy beer to-go you can't open it on premises or you'll make the staff sad, they got a sign behind the bar dedicated to this phenomenon. Not much else to say about this place that hasn't been said but they had a different selection than other goated bottle shops like Bottleworks in Wallingford so definitely worth checking out for great beers. Highly recommend anything from Heater Allen (the bock!) and Cosmos the export stout from otherlands if they still got bottles. read more

A great small business in the heart of Georgetown selling bottled beers, beers on tap and non alcoholic beverages. If you want a variety of tasty beer at its peak of freshness, you come here. Some of the larger stores that sell beer don't move much inventory, so you could get beer beyond it's recommended consumption date. At FTB you get a great variety of local beers that are new and fresh unlike most other large beer stores. read more

I really liked this spot. It's right next to my favorite Mexican spot, so a perfect place to grab a drink while waiting for a table. I liked the interior, it felt comfortable and had a good vibe. There were a lot of good beers on tap, I had a sour from Oregon. There's also quite a few bottles, some Belgians as well. Overall, a good stop I'll definitely be back again sometime. read more

Stopped by to look around while visiting a nearby brewery and ended up buying quite a few beers. For craft beers, their selection is A++++. You'll find all styles including from out of state breweries. I'm from California and they had some great beers from some of the best breweries near me. Prices were also very reasonable. I didn't think any I bought were inflated. A smoothie beer from Skygazer that I tried was one of the best beers I've ever had. The staff were also friendly and helpful. This place is on my list to stop in on future trips to Seattle. read more

What can I say, the place has everything needed to make it dope af. The owner, John, who recommends badass beers while explaining the origins of the art on his walls--dope. The beer selection-- yeah, dope. The prices-- stop it. I hesitated to write a review for this place at all because I don't want it to end up like Chuck's or Beer Jct and be crawling with beer-snobby hipsters (which I acknowledge I am one of them). BUT it's too good. I want this place to be recognized as the craft brew mecca that it is and I want John to be duly successful, even if it means I will have to tolerate crowds. Go here. Drink here. Spend money and bring your friends. PS and FYI - Children are NOT allowed in this venue. I like kids and appreciate that parents need a drink sometimes, but I personally love a beer-centric tap house that knows kids don't really belong there. FTB has gone through changes over the years, but no matter who you talk to, they will say this is one of the best places to buy your adult beverages. They are knowledgeable, generous, and kind with how to get you the best drinking experience. Featuring a generous tap list for an establishment of this size, if you're looking for some classic examples of your favorite brews, I don't know that you can walk away unsatisfied. Even brews that I wasn't into have been a welcome experience and helped me better appreciate the subtle flavors in craft beverages. Not only can you pull up a chair here now and bring in take out from a local eatery, but for far longer they have been one of the best bottle shops to grab that special something at home when you just want to Netflix and chill yourself after a long day of working the grind. We stopped in, by chance, while waiting for our table at a restaurant nearby and I wish we had just stayed at Full Throttle! Full Throttle re-opened last month with a better than ever selection of beer, wine, cider, and even mead. We were lucky to come in and find a local mead from Denmark that we were able to share with our friends. To make the experience complete, Full Throttle includes a variety of cards and games to enjoy. They games were all in good condition. Worthy to note - they do not currently serve food but are looking at adding it to the menu. Until then, they welcome all outside food AND dogs! (SCORE!) I came here to purchase a bottle of either champagne or cremant for a bubbles tasting party. I am more of a whiskey and beer drinker so I had no idea what to purchase for this party. I spoke with the owner who was very helpful in providing options which were very affordable. The bottle was in a tasting competition against approximately 14 bottles and the one he helped me choose won 1st prize (cash prize by the way). He also helped me get a few locals beers for my enjoyment as well. I was very pleased with the services and all of the recommendations made. Nice to see this place reopen, finally. The new owner has put in benches and tables, and has about 10 or 12 beers on tap. There is still a large row of refrigerator space for bottled beer, cider and wine. As it is newly opened in this setting, it is still a work in progress. But it is exciting to see that the place is back. For a selection of some rare beers and a place to hang out, this should be a good option. read more

I love this bar. The staff are all amazing, super friendly and polite. Despite this being a craft beer bar, there's not once hint of snobbery or elitism in the establishment. They're always happy to help and give great advice on their product, and it's always a fun atmosphere. The bottle selection is outstanding and diverse. You can get the best of the best lambics and barrel aged beer, or a 6 pack of the cheap stuff. The 12 tap draft list, while not as big as some of the other spots in town, always has great variety and is well sourced and thought out. You're going to find some cool beers on tap here that aren't around anywhere else, and it always run the gauntlet from lagers, to ipa, to stouts, sours and even cider. Speaking of which, there's a real cool selection of cider, wine and mead for non beer drinkers. Definitely check it out next time you're in Georgetown! read more

Wow what a disaster one employee can make. Went in here Sunday after brunch to have a beer and buy a nice sixer. One couple in the store, with a employee manning the counter. I asked for his advice on draft beer choice, indicating that "I like Manny's," a local favorite. This guy literally scoffs at me, out loud. He starts ignoring me as if I'm some idiot for liking mannys. I asked about a "Brett pale" draft they had. The guy scoffs again. "You said you like mannys now you're asking about the Brett?" He asks derisively. I ask for a taste. He brings a very tiny taste. It tastes fine to me. So I ask what it is I supposedly won't like about this beer. He scoffs again. "This is made with Brett yeast. Beer is made with yeast" he said to me like I am a total idiot. Not being sure what his point is, I ask "can I have another taste of that?" "No. No you can't." I ask "you won't give me another taste of that?" "No, I won't." After a few choice words to this arrogant little weasel, I left. I live in the area and I had been to the pre-remodel store at least 20 times to buy beer. I will never, ever go in there again. And no one else should either. To have a scoffing, arrogant, dismissive little beer snob somehow acting out his absurd concept of superiority towards customers in that way is unforgivable. I know it's hard to find good help these days, but you gotta do better than this. I've never stormed out of a store this angry before. Because I've never been treated so rudely. PS - the Brett Pale tasted like regular beer to me. Nothing special. Nothing unusual. Nothing to be particularly arrogant about. Frankly Manny's is way better beer. read more

When I showed up with my toddler in hand, not realizing this store is now 21+, the staff went out of their way to assist me in making a beer purchase legally. One even offered to hold my toddler outside while I shopped! My kid was having none of that, but they still helped me make a selection and purchase it without entering the store! There are many things I love about this place, but my favorite aspect is the combination of down to earth vibe paired with top notch beer and wine. During my hour hang with great vinyl spinning in the background during their weekly funky fridays, I was energized by owner Jon and staff's passion for sharing and supporting local (no InBev, etc) beers. I also love their unique German tradition of fruhschoppen hour (11-noon) where all drafts are a dollar off. Great prices are the froth on the top of a great experience! read more

Now this place... I like. The first thing I noticed was the sign on the door that said something like "grab some food from our neighbors and come on in". I LOVE THAT! The only other place I can think of that does that is Optimism and it's such a plus. I like how it supports the local community. I liked this place before even coming in. If you've ever been to the Beer Junction in West Seattle, it's like that, but I like this one more. So many local brews available, some I have never even heard of. I could have spent an hour looking at all the different options. Call me basic, but they had a seasonal pumpkin spice cider from Seattle Cider co so that's what I got. $3. You could either buy a pack or individual cans, and that goes for basically all the drinks in there. The prices here are probably the best you'll find. Next time I come in ill grab some food, I'll something that's on tap, and have a good time. read more

My husband and I frequent this store a lot, and typically we've always had a good experience. I came in today to buy orange wine, and the guy working had no clue about the wine selection. He told me the owner knew more about the wines and didn't do anything to try and help. If you're going to sell it, please make sure your employees are somewhat knowledgeable about the selection. The guy working there was not helpful at all. I will try to find a different shop in the city that carries orange wine and has a helpful staff. read more
