Awesome brewery right on Alki with an amazing view of the beach. Fun outdoor seating with tables and beach chairs. Full menu of craft beer on tap. Reasonable prices. They allow BYOF so bring your own food. Great glassware too. Clean restrooms. Easy ordering. Overall highly recommend this spot for beers by the beach!

Thank you Yelp! Yet another excellent recommendation for a brewery that I may have missed. While visiting Alki Beach on a wonderful hot summer day I used the search word "beer" to find a spot for a brew. I found this perfectly located brewery directly across from the beach. With plenty of outside seats. Some shaded, some not. I could not resist sitting in the ground level chairs. An excellent seat to pop a squat and relax to people watch. Tip, if you are wearing shorts be careful as these chairs feel like they can be a splinter hazard. The bar is smallish and I grabbed a seat inside when the sun began to hit the front chairs. I was very happy with my beers too! Started with a pilsner, 5.4 %. See photo of on tap list, top name, which I shall not put in this review. Perfectly light and refreshing. The second one was my absolute favorite, and I had to purchase a four pack to go. The Rasberry Gose, 4.6%, which almost tasted like a cross between a rose, seltzer, and pink! It was so good! This is definitely a local watering hole which was evident by the conversation between the bartender and some patrons at the bar. I would have given it 5 stars, but, the bathroom was, well, ewwwwww. Would it prevent me from coming back? NOPE. That Rasberry Gose was undeniably delicious, and the vibes were great. And you can bring outside food. Do it, enjoy sunshine and beer. SYOY.

Located right off Alki Blvd and directly across from the beach, Future Primitive Brewing has a prime spot in one of Seattle's most tourist-heavy waterfront areas. The location is definitely the main draw--you're steps from the beach, with a few outdoor chairs and an enclosed patio area where you can sit and take in the activity around you. The brewery itself has a laid-back, slightly worn-in feel. It's a bit rundown in places, but that seems pretty fitting for the casual, beach-adjacent vibe and doesn't take away from the overall experience if you're expecting something polished or upscale. It can get quite noisy, especially given the corner location and steady foot traffic from tourists and beachgoers. The atmosphere is lively, sometimes bordering on chaotic, but that's part of the tradeoff for being in such a busy, scenic area. Overall, it's a solid stop if you're already in the Alki area and want a casual beer in a very "beach town" style setting--just go in expecting energy, crowds, and a no-frills environment

My first adventure to this spot on Alki. Awesome experience! I really enjoyed the Offset cider & the hot spice wine on a chilly Winter Solstice night. The pretzel & pimento cheese was warm & satisfying for my snacking needs. I was massively impressed with the woman behind the bar that was dealing with a masssssive moron. He made his name very well known- So, with that! Dear Brett, You're a loud, entitled idiot & you need to be nicer to the folks that work at this establishment. Screaming at your friends that you'll, "always be the crazy asshole" as they are asking you to not be that way..... truly telling.

Gross food with rude service. The pretzel wasn't cooked all the way. The beer cheese was cold and tasted like garbage. The guy pouring was extremely rude. We ordered 4 beers to share between 4 so we could get a good taste of the selection and they were nothing to write home about. Our group will never be back because of how we were all treated.

We couldn't decide between lunch and dinner, and we ended up going during happy hour. We were able to get some of their food and cocktails at a nice price. We sat inside, even though I had requested outside on my reservation, but the inside decor is very cute too and we were close enough to the open patio. I tried their geoduck clam chowder and Caesar salad and both were delicious. My husband and son got the fish and chips. They both loved it. The fish had a super crispy coating but not too much coating so the fish still shined. Quality was present in everything we ordered. I ordered a lemoncello spritz and my son ordered a pina colada. My spritz was ok but not much lemon flavor. My son loved his though and ordered a second one. We were all too full to order dessert, but I had mentioned in my reservation that this was for a birthday and nothing was said by our waitress, which makes me wonder why they ask in the first place. However, this place has a beautiful atmosphere right next to the beach across the street and phenomenal food, so I am sure my son will be back and so will we when we visit again. Interestingly, they have a lunch menu that includes a lot more such as a po boy sandwich that has caught my eye for next time.....

The menu is pretty simple and basic but you can tell they use fresh and clean ingredients! (1 star off because of the limited menu.) I would return if I were in the area for a light bite to eat.

We heard that they had a great burger, so couldn't wait to try it and the rumors were right. The burger was delicious. What we didn't know is how good the fries were. It makes me rethink all the fries that I've had lately. I don't even know why I've bothered, they've just filled my tummy. These fries were delicious. We enjoyed a couple great cocktails and I had a yummy nut brown ale that was made in a healthy way I guess so I didn't get the headache that beers usually give me. The steak salad dressing was really good. The steak was a little chewy but otherwise the portion was fair and it was tasty. Id be willing to try other dishes here but i don't know if id be able to order anything but the burger.
