After a relaxing day at the beach, we decided to stop by Lotus on the Beach, and it was the perfect way to end the evening. We called about 10 minutes before arriving, and even without a reservation, they were able to accommodate us. The beachfront setting is beautiful, especially around sunset. The combination of sea views, the relaxed atmosphere, and the fusion of Asian flavors makes this a wonderful spot for dinner. I ordered the Thai basil sauce entrée, and it was absolutely delicious! The flavors were bold, fresh, and perfectly balanced. The portion was generous, yet as a pregnant foodie, I happily finished every bite because it was that good. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meals as well. The Mongolian beef was flavorful, and the sizzling steak cubes arrived hot and tender, making them another favorite. I have been meaning to try this place for a while, especially since I work in the area, and I'm so glad we finally stopped in. We came by on a Sunday late afternoon for what we thought would be a quick dinner, and it ended up being such a lovely meal. We ordered the pad thai, pad kee mao, banh xeo, and the mango trout. Even though the restaurant was fairly busy, everything came out in a timely manner and tasted so fresh and thoughtfully prepared. One thing I really appreciated was how flavorful and tender the meats were in each dish. You could tell the proteins were marinated and cared for before being added in, instead of just tossed into a noodle dish as an afterthought like I've experienced at other places. It made such a difference. The mango trout was such a standout. The trout was a great size, and the mango was firm, crunchy, and fresh, which I absolutely loved. The banh xeo was also delicious: thin, crispy, and served with fresh herbs that weren't wilted at all. The nuoc mam was perfect too, not overly sweet, light, balanced, and just right with the banh xeo. Portions were generous, and we ended up taking food home because we couldn't finish everything. That is always a good problem to have. Most of all, I really want to mention how welcoming the service was. Lynda took such great care of us and made the whole experience feel warm and personal. You can tell this is a place with heart behind it, and I truly hope more people in the neighborhood give it a try. It's not easy running a small business, especially in a beautiful but busy area like Alki, and restaurants like this deserve to be supported. We'll definitely be back. "Thai me up" and send me back to Alki beach........I went to Seattle about a month ago. My mother and I spontaneously stopped here while on vacation. While waiting for the food I knew I found a good spot since the reviews on Yelp and Google were mostly 4 or 5 stars. We lucked out and got a parking spot right near the restaurant. The place is very serene and beautiful inside. They also have a few outside tables and a bar bench overlooking the busy bay front where you can soak up the sun and watch the boats wiz by. The portions are large and delicious. I've actually daydreamed about them in the last month. We have a lot of Thai and Asian fusion restaurants in the Portland, Oregon area but I haven't been wowed in awhile - this place was a wow moment. The flavoring of the food was so comforting and wholesome. We ordered the yellow curry (Massuman) and a Tom Ka soup. Both were excellent. A woman nearby ordered a stirfry chicken and vegetables and that was massive. She looked like she got 2-3 portions - I definitely think she took home leftovers. I had the U-Babe which had great ube flavor but was still a bit strong. The non-alcoholic Guava Iced Tea was also delicious. All the food was incredible. A really cute spot across from Alki beach in Seattle for drinks or Thai food. There is a long bar out front so you can sit outside and enjoy the views and weather, if amenable. We were waited on right away, and service was excellent. We opted just for drinks in the afternoon. My son got a Mai tai and I got a lychee martini. Both were very good. My son has also eaten here before, and he says the food is okay, albeit a little expensive, but to be expected right on the beach. Atmosphere is killer. The view at dusk over the water is astonishing and the food is wonderful. We ordered the yam fries and the pork belly and egg entree and they were both wonderful. Sweet potato fries can get soggy but their fries were the crispest I've ever had. A plate of 5 dumplings placed in light tangy sauce, and must share I enjoyed very much. Next was my entree of Pork Chop & Fried Rice. I'm always a fan of the chops but these were exceptionally amazing. The chef has done something special and changed the way I look at pork chops. Monday 12/1/25 5:30pm 3 other 2 tops at the time. After all the hype about this place, we decided to give it a try. We love Thai food, and from what we've heard, our expectations were high. The Food- We had Crab Rangoon, Crispy Chicken egg-rolls, Crispy Garlic Chicken, shrimp Panang Curry, and Phad Thai. I love when all the food comes out 1 dish at a time, but also with in 1 minute of each other all the way through the order, with little or no time to enjoy anything and a crowded table with full plates. We ordered Apps and drinks, 15 min later we ordered entrees. So no, not all at once. Crab Rangoon wrappers were soft except the tips, but also all different shades of doneness with bits of black fryer bits stuck to them , very strange. Egg-Rolls were all evenly cooked, but dry and tasteless filling.. couldn't get past the dirty fryer oil. There is only 1 place that should be serving Crispy Garlic chicken, and it's not this flavorless, lifeless, tempura coated chicken scrap with a sugar based sauced, place. You all know where to get good Crispy Garlic Chicken in West Seattle. Even weirder than the Crab Rangoon, was the Panang Curry with its gritty, peanut butter texture. This texture of the curry was a first for us. Phad Thai... completely missed at least 3 of the 5 flavor profiles needed to make good Phad Thai, even squeezing every drop of lime juice from the wedge, it remained lifeless and dull. **No question as to hot spicy we would like anything, because applying dry crushed chili at the table just doesn't cut it. ** No sliced Thai chilis in Fish Sauce available (serious red flag) I know it's "fusion" but what is it fused with? Vietnamese.. hmmm ** Stone cold plates, one would think they took the plates directly out of the freezer and put hot food on them. This is not an exaggeration, I commented to the server as soon as I took the plate from her... because no where to put it in the table, until we did the crowded table shuffle. **No refill on water, (we sat behind the host desk, so the could clearly see we were on E with the water. Do you get a lot of food? Yes you do, is it the same amount as every other Asain restaurant.. yes. We honestly wanted to enjoy this new, locally owner Alki Restaurant, but it just wasn't good. P.S. I would suggest ordering your entrees once you have FINISHED your appetizers and the plates have been cleared. read more

Wonderful addition to Alki Beach. The food is phenomenal and the drinks absolutely yumm! We went on a Sunday afternoon and got a table by their huge windows overlooking the beach. So beautiful! We got the fried tofu, fresh rolls, Vietnamese pancake and one of the vegetarian stir fries. Everything was very flavorful and beyond amazing! For drinks we got the U-Babe and Mister Tan. Both were so darn good. The waiter/bartender was very friendly and checked on us quite often. They don't take reservations on the weekend. Maybe that will change! Absolutely worth the trek to West Seattle. A few more vegetarian dishes on the menu would make me want to be a regular here! read more

Came here with a group of 6 while we were taking a day trip to Alki Beach. I discovered this place through a mutual and what attracted me were their vibrant drinks. Lotus on The Beach serves elevated Asian food. My group ordered two Banh Xeo, two Brisket Beef Udon, and one Golden Nest. They were all fairly delicious. I really liked how big their Banh Xeo was, it was nice and crispy. For drinks we got Spring in Tokyo, U-Babe, Lychee's Cosmopolitan, and a Cos-no-politan. The drinks were the selling point like I said earlier. My Spring in Tokyo had foamy jelly cherry blossom flowers. It was sweet and just to my liking. Everyone else's drinks were phenomenal too. Looking forward to come here during another trip to Alki and maybe I'll just get the drinks! read more

Everything was delicious and flavorful. We were impressed with their meticulous attention to detail in every dish, from the finely chopped scallions beautifully layered on the rockfish to the slice of orange on the chicken wings dish. WHAT WE ATE: Mango Summer Roll with Shrimp Lotus Sampler Chicken Wings with Habanero Lotus Special Salad Phad Kee-Mao Lemongrass Rockfish And here's the kicker: they have one of the best cocktail menus in town! The wife & I shared the fried rice w/ pork chops which was enough for both of us. This dish was amazing as well. Service was excellent. While visiting Seattle I had the opportunity to stop by Lotus on the Beach. I needed a snack to get me by until dinner. I had the coconut shrimp appetizer, which was cooked nearly perfectly as they are crispy, well-seasoned, not to much coconut just enough. I had to hurry into a meeting, I was unable to try the main courses, but the appetizers certainly left a strong impression. The cocktails, thoughtfully crafted and visually appealing, with creativity that matched their impressive taste. We had the Spring in Tokyo and Fire for Effect. (Smoked Old Fashioned with maple). The service was attentive without being intrusive. The ambiance was nice, offering a welcoming yet sophisticated environment. I look forward to returning when I have more time to explore the menu further. This is certainly a restaurant I would recommend and I definitely want to return to for dinner. read more
