I stumbled upon Eat Asian Tapas late one evening, and honestly, I'm still thinking about the wonderful experience several weeks later. This place nails the that perfect combination of super cozy atmosphere, attentive staff, and a menu that feels like a culinary adventure... but one that you can actually afford! I can't write a review about Eat Asian Tapas without gushing about the Wagyu Tartare I shared with my husband that night. It was definitely the star of the evening. It was silky, melt-in-your mouth perfection with just the right balance of heat and acid, and it felt like every bite was layered and deliberate. I loved it and can't recommend it highly enough! Everything else we tried that night was excellent. There is a wide variety of dishes at different price points, and the staff are excellent about suggesting drinks that pair nicely with each of the dishes. Yes, there's great tapas here, but there's an even more amazing drink list. I'd say the only downfall about this place is the parking. There appeared to be a parking lot around the corner with a $25 sign, but it was closed and empty. Ride share, walk, it doesn't matter... whatever you do, just check out Eat Asian Tapas. I hear the menu changes regularly, but if you ask loudly enough I'm sure they're keep any of our favorites on constant rotation.

Wow just wow! This is a really nice place for a romantic date night or an intimate hangout spot for a small group. The service is authentic and charming! It is a small cozy spot with just a few tables but they really do make the best of the space. Ok now on to the food! Ttokboki + Potstickers (5/5) The ttokboki texture has the perfect amount of bounciness and the sauce that comes with it is so good it's addictive. The potsticker has a small amount of crunch but soft on the inside. I take that potsticker and also dip it with the ttokboki sauce as well. Chicken Ganjung (5/5) I saw someone write on Yelp that this is the best fried chicken in Capitol Hill. I put it to the test, and my taste buds absolutely agree. The delicate outside crunch, delicious sauce, and ultra soft and juicy chicken makes this a pleasure to eat to the very last bite. Beef Tartare (4/5) This beef tartare comes with thin slices of korean pear, pine nuts, micro greens and an egg yolk on top. It is recommended to mix all this up together. I think this is a very good flavorful dish but it is a tad on the salty side. It would be nice if this comes with some toasted bread to balance out the saltiness. Also, the meat came out slightly frozen which I asked them about and they said it's normal and by design but I prefer it to be warmed down a lot more for a more palatable experience. Terra Beer (5/5) This beer came out from a bottle but I really love that the glass was frozen so my beer tasted extra cold and crisp. This is one of those restaurants that truly value quality over quantity and that deep level of detail shines through the in the presentation, service and especially taste! This is a place not just to eat but to me an amazing culinary experience that's not going to break your bank. I'm so excited to come back and try everything else on the menu!

Picture we have fried ebi with mayo (which is their take on honey walnut shrimp), soondubu, and Korean fried chicken. This is their soft opening. Personally, the fried ebi had way too much mayo on it. It was drowning. I think it was fried well, though with not too much batter. I also thought the Korean fried chicken didn't taste like traditional, Korean fried chicken though it was still tasty. I got more of the sweet chili sauce flavor than anything. Soondubu was on the sweet side which they warned us about. I thoroughly enjoyed it. They even offered to top off the broth for you. The service is amazing. The waiters were incredibly attentive. They even offered a sample of their Soju. I recommend the lychee one. They were playing a good R&B mix and I love R&B so I had a great time

Last night was our 2nd time at this restaurant within 1 week and we were not disappointed. We had such an amazing time there. The food was sooo good and well presented. The service was phenomenal. The chef tailored the dishes to our likings. The restaurant was warm and cozy. We loved the ambiance there.

Simply amazing! A cozy homey restaurant where Lil Pocha used to be -- never actually had Lil Pocha, but definitely didn't need to after enjoying my meal here at Eat Asian Tapas. Was pretty hungry so I ordered a good amount of food. - Yukhoe (11/10): Was my first time trying it and was divine -- perfect balance of sweet, savory, freshness, crunch from the Asian pear, nuttiness from the pine nuts and sesame oil, and a subtle garlicky kick. Good portion size too. Definitely coming back just for it! - Kuramomo Spicy Chicken Thigh skewer (6/10): Nice grilled flavor and tender, but a lil too salty and gochujang heavy for my liking. Small portion too. - Pork Belly Skewer (7/10): Nice grilled flavor as well, and classic pork belly goodness, but also small for the price. - Kimchi Cucumber (8.5/10): House-made and well seasoned, paired great with rice. - Spicy Pork Ssam Salad Roll (8/10): Like a Korean meat Viet spring roll. Refreshing and spicy pork had good flavor, had a surprising addition of bell pepper that I wasn't expecting haha, but solid portion size for the price. Other than that, service was incredible and friendly, and the ginseng soju shot was complementary! Highly recommend if you swing by Capitol Hill and hope it's here to stay!

    Chicken gizzards!

This place was cute and vibey, the soju was delicious, and the food was good! We got chicken gizzards (bomb), army stew, and a fried chicken skewer. They gave us free escargot salad for free (I was eying it anyway!) and that was great too. We tried the pineapple agave soju and it was so delishhh. To all the tequila lovers- try it, trust me. If you are craving Korean pocha food and want some soju, try this place for your next date night or girls night!

    Tonkatsu and galibtang

It is hard to find good food in Seattle when most of it is not really worth the hype, but Eat Asian Tapas just blew me away. Their most popular dish, which is a must try, is their steak tartare. The flavors of sesame combined with pear, pine nuts, and egg yolk, are all beautifully made to enhance the quality of the dish. Texture and flavor were truly a unique experience. We also had the shishito peppers and corn cheese esquites which were fun and yummy bites! As for main course, we had the tonkatsu pork and the galbitang. The tonkatsu was good as the sauce reminds me a bit of rosé, but slightly sweeter. It also came with the side of shredded cabbage with delicious sesame dressing and potato salad. Lastly, the galbitang was my favorite. The soup is light yet flavorful packed with umami. You can tell that the soup was made with high quality ingredients and love, like a home cooked dish. The beef was cooked to perfection as it was tender. Overall, chef/owner Ji was welcoming, kind, and helpful, making this whole experience and ambiance worth it.

I went on a weekday evening and was able to walk in without a reservation and the host sat my party immediately. The space has an industrial vibe, minimal decorations and an open kitchen in the dining area with another kitchen hidden in the back. We started off with a gochujang margarita which had a little spice but the flavor of the gochujang got lost and I couldn't really distinguish it. The NY Tiki Time cocktail was a stunner, the flavors of the citrus, pandan and rum blended smoothly together. I had to take a photo when the drinks arrived. For the apps we ordered the yellowtail and octopus. The presentation really was remarkable and well plated. The yellowtail was in between layer of thinly cut turnip that had a lemon verbena component to it. It was shaped into a flower and placed on a plate in naengmyeon broth. The octopus was tender and in a delicious cream sauce with some roe as decoration. For the mains we got the squid fried rice with kimchi, bacon, smoked quail egg. We also ordered the branzino gui with seasonal vegetables. Both were well seasoned and tasty but I think I enjoyed our drinks and appetizers the most. The staff were slow and intentional with their service and no one seemed in a frantic hurry. The tone of the place was calm and none of our servers gave off an overly pretentious attitude (my biggest gripe with fine dining). Will most definitely come back as soon as possible and can't recommend enough.

The yellowtail dish was lemony and the thiny sliced turnip was an art itself . My friend really liked the squid ink fried rice. The rice was made very well but personally I always find squid ink rice to be bland and a bit uninteresting, so the kimchi in the fried rice added some contrast. The restaurant was pretty empty on a weekend night. Service was ok. I love the glass and high ceiling.

Service was super friendly and quick. My friend and I shared the pork sliders, brussel sprouts, beef cheek ragu rice cakes, wagyu ssam, and the ginger crème brulee. Everything was so surprisingly yummy. Pork sliders were juicy, flavorful, nice fluffy bun. Good proportion of bun to filling. Brussel sprouts at first were your average well made sprouts, but when we reached the bottom of the dish where the sweet potato puree was, it changed the entire flavor profile of the dish! So good. Maybe better served in a wider bowl so we could appreciate the puree sooner haha Beef cheek ragu was super good too. Flavorful rich sauce and I loved that the rice cakes were extra thick and charred on the outside. Made for the perfect texture: lightly crunchy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. Wagyu ssam was great too. Not as standout as the other dishes, but solid steak pieces that were perfectly tender. I think my favorite has to be the ginger crème brûlée. The ginger flavor is light, and the hardened sugar on top tastes like crystallized ginger candy when chewed. The doenjang caramel drizzle balances it out as well. Overall, a fantastic meal. It's definitely on the pricier side, and all the dishes could use a bit less salt, but I will definitely be thinking about that crème brûlée for a long time

It is set up like a cute korean style bar with small round tables which make sharing easier. They have a pretty good selection on their menu and we ordered a couple of items to share. The Rose Ttoekbokki with cheese was very yummy, but it kinda tasted like pasta with rice cakes instead of spaghetti. I think that is the point of this dish, so if you want a more traditional spicy flavor then get the other ttoekbokki option (spicy rice cakes). We still loved this one and the rice cakes were so chewy and delicious. The cheese corn was very yummy and exactly what you would expect. It pairs perfectly with the other dishes. My friends also shared the Seafood ramen and Beef bulgogi. They liked both dishes. One of our favorite things were the side dishes actually! The tofu was so yummy, and the bean sprouts were so crunchy and well seasoned. We even asked for extra! The only aspect that makes it difficult to come more often is the price point. Since the dishes are so big and shareable, it is easy to split amongst a group, but it is a little less affordable to come here for dinner and drinks.

This place doesn't have potato salad--that would be too pedestrian. Instead, you get pickled perilla leaves, pickled okra, pickled eggplant, pickled dried radish, and more. Also, my wife is vegan, and they had an entire vegan menu available, all ready to go. We used to live up in Shoreline and loved this place years ago. We were back in the neighborhood and decided to pop in on a whim. It is all spiffy and new and under new management. The owner and head chef was there, and she is a delightful lady. The service is top-notch, as her daughter was working there. The staff was very attentive. It feels less like eating at a restaurant and more like eating at your favorite Korean friend's mom's home after being spontaneously invited for dinner. The restaurant is meticulously clean and elegant, which makes you just want to eat. In fact, the food was so wonderful that I hardly spoke a word between moaning and eating. To cap off our meal, they provided this delicious cinnamon ginger drink to help settle our very full tummies. I wished the owner would come running out with packed banchan for me to take home, just to make sure I was eating well at home -- just like in those K-dramas.
