Been to Monsoon several times throughout the years and has been a staple. Came for lunch at Monsoon and shared a couple plates with the group. We ordered the vermicelli bowl combo set, the green beans, sticky rice, and the Bo la lot. The vermicelli combination bowl had perfect amount of protein, came with one shrimp and one imperial roll. Good for sharing or for one serving. The green beans were very saucy, needed some type of carb to balance out the flavors but overall it was good. My favorite was the Bo La lot and the sticky rice! Overall, everything came out hot and fresh to order. Highly recommend!

Team gathering dinner with reservation at 6pm , and we were able to get a semi- private room , which fits in about 30 people. Outside sign does not look impressive, the door handle stands out, and insider decorations were complicated and a little bit too much, maybe that is how club looks like. The waiter took our drinks order fast and served us in 5 mins or shorter. The food was pre-ordered, and the cousin is Asian fusion -- vietnam China and India elements mixed naturally. And the tastes were surprisingly great, highly recommitted beef cube, tender and juicy; also recommended the fried rice -- vegetarian or crab meat one. Both were seasoned just right. Meanwhile, highly recommended the garlic sauce asparagus-- I can eat the whole plate by myself, flavorful with very fresh juicy asparagus. I would put five stars on this restaurant considering I don't have to deal with the check. Food wise, recommended. The only thing to be concerned is the parking, very limited spots.

Came back to try the dim sum and was a little bit disappointed in how few vegetarian options there were. The congee is all made with chicken stock and the rice rolls have meat in them premade. The things we did try were tasty though. The server was helpful and we sat on the patio again with our pup and were perfectly dry and comfortable despite the chilly and rainy day.

Food was decent. I wish the ribs had fallen off the bone. Good flavor but nothing out of this world. Service was good despite it being quite busy. Loud environment, would like to try sitting outside if I eat here again.

I'm swept away by Monsoon Seattle! Located in the Stevens neighborhood, near the prominent neighborhood of Capitol Hill, in eastern Seattle, Monsoon specializes in classic Vietnamese comfort food served in a stylish setting. It comes from the Banh siblings, Eric and Sophie, who have quickly become the duo representing the entrepreneurial spirit of the Emerald City with two locations of Monsoon, one in Seattle and one in Bellevue, and three locations of Ba Bar which has a more urban bar atmosphere, the Banhs are known around town as the "Saigon Siblings," which is also the name of their restaurant group as they have brought elevated Vietnamese cuisine to the masses in the Seattle metropolitan area ever since this particular location of Monsoon opened over a quarter century ago. What brought a group of friends and I here on a warm weekday afternoon was that we were in town on business and we were at the nearby Volunteer Park and we were looking for a place to enjoy a nice and quick group lunch for four. The fact that Monsoon also has a happy hour from Mondays through Thursdays was a major draw as we also arrived on a day in which we were eligible for the special pricing, but as we would peruse their menu only a couple of items on their Happy Hour Eats menu our table would be actually interested in dining on upon this visit, as there were a number of smaller items that made perfect for noshing on while drinking at their bar, but not for larger parties that wanted to try more of what they had to offer. Since we arrived at an hour that is considered lunchtime, the lunch menu at Monsoon is separated into categories including Small Plates, Vermicelli Noodles, Classic Lunch Bowls, Banh Mi, Monsoon Pho, Entrées, Vegetables, Side & Additions, in addition to their Happy Hour Eats, Drinks and their regular Cocktail beverage menu. Since I was with colleagues, I decided to order their Honeybush Fizz from their Non-Alcoholic Refreshment menu, which had peach, honeybush tea, lemon, honey and soda. From their Happy Hour Eats menu, their Crispy Imperial Rolls, which featured Carlton Farms pork, white prawns, glass noodle, wood ear mushrooms and nước chấm, which was sold for $2.50 less than what we would normally purchase the dish for, so we were all on board to order this signature menu item. From their regular lunchtime menu, from the Appetizer section, we ordered their Pork Spare Ribs, which were Carlton Farms pork ribs covered in five-spice dry rub, hoisin barbeque sauce, and green onions; their Green Papaya Salad, which was a combination of shredded green papayas topped with grilled prawns, mint, caramelized shallots and ground peanuts; Hamachi Fresh Rolls which was combination of Hamachi, avocado, lettuce and crispy shallots wrapped in spring roll rice paper. And from their Vegetables section of their menu we ordered their Wokked Brussel, which was topped with garlic, shallot, and soy sauce. Our drinks would come out first as they were nicely presented with my nonalcoholic beverage being crisp and refreshing. Of our five entrées, I really enjoyed the Pork Spare Ribs, Green Papaya Salad, and the Hamachi Fresh Rolls in particular as they were all nice in size plate-wise which allowed us to share all of our plates, which helped to keep the conversation going as our culinary adventure would carry on. Our total bill would be about 75 dollars for just our food, with our beverage order additional as well as the gratuity and tax, which in hindsight was rather reasonable overall. Would we come back to Monsoon, in a Vietnam minute as they have lively food served in a robust atmosphere. On weekend days, they serve a Dim Sum brunch with traditional favorites like Shrimp Dumplings and Pork Buns alongside Banh Mi and Pho on their relaxing deck surrounded by lush greenery and string lights only adds to the fun of dining out in the Emerald City. After twenty-five years, the Saigon Siblings still have what it takes to create tasty dishes in a happening setting, and Seattle and its visitors wouldn't have it any other way!

Food was on point, the egg rolls were great, served to my preference with noodles and lettuce. Cat fish was really good, served as an individual serving was really approachable I had the combo platter, an I have to say, never had lemon grass chicken like that, and it was a refreshing surprise!

These were my favorite items from our meal - I recommend all of them: Pork Spare Ribs Seafood Fried Rice Crispy Imperial Rolls The ambiance is so cute. At night, it's lovely lighting that really compliments the beautiful decor! This is not a "come as you are" restaurant, you should definitely dress up - I thought I'd be overdressed, but I fit right in with the vibe. Definitely recommend for a solo dinner, date night, or really any type of dinner in between haha. Loved it and can't wait to go back to Seattle and visit Monsoon again!

Modern high end Vietnamese. Good food, drinks and ambiance. This is a good choice for casual dinner as well as a business. I've been here for both. Monsoon always satisfies!

Pretty good fusion Vietnamese food in Seattle! On the pricier side for sure but flavors are there and if you're looking for a cute date night spot, monsoon would do the trick. Got the catfish claypot (ga kho) and portion was on the smaller side but it tasted similar to home cooked catfish :). Fried vegetarian imperial rolls were also good and very crunchy. Curious about their dim sum course so will be back at some point to try that.

Excellent Vietnamese food and they have a great herbal tea that I forgot the name of but was very refreshing. Excellent service as well and very cool / stylish interior environs. Also multiple locations throughout Seattle and Bellevue. Highly recommended!

The whole space has this intimate, luxurious atmosphere that makes the experience feel special the moment you walk in. We tried the Japanese Breakfast, which is a savory cocktail and such a pleasant surprise. It genuinely has miso soup notes. It's very unique and creative. I also had El Boho (flavorful but not overly sweet). The staff are always friendly and very knowledgeable when it comes to recommending drinks. The prices are on the higher end, but personally I think they're totally worth it for the creativity and overall experience. For one, the bar service was mediocre for my $26 cocktail. I get more conversation from the bartenders at the Red Onion.... And because they bartender wasn't paying attention, he forgot to put our food order in....probably didn't need it anyway, I need to diet. And then we get the check and they automatically add 22%...if you are a quality establishment offering exceptional customer service, you don't need to tell me what to tip...guess you are not. And they they have the nerve to ask me if I want to tip another 18%, 20%, or 25% when I sign the check on their Toast device... I'll go out for a quality cocktail experience at Needle & Thread, The Doctor's Office, or maybe the Red Onion, lol. But I won't be coming back here ever again.

Parking can be a wee bit tricky so waking, ride share, or public transit will be your best options. But if you have to drive we found a paid lot a few blocks away While this wasn't the best tiki bar we've ever been to, it did stand out for the presentation of drinks, the cool (and massive) octopus, the immersion, and overall vibe is nice and atmospheric They have four non-alcoholic options which I really appreciated as the one driving for the night! They also have standard as well as unique takes on tiki drinks. We were surprised to find so many options with vodka and tequila which isn't common in a more traditional tiki bar We had the: - "Kiki Premier Mai Tai" which wasn't as rum forward as we would have thought, especially given how many rums it had in it; but overall it was a classic style Mai Tai and tasty with quality rums - "One Eyed Willy" which has a fun presentation in a chest with smoking dry ice. This one you could taste the rum more and overall it was a really enjoyable drink and experience - "See A Light" which is a non-alcoholic option and the taste was just as good as the presentation. Came in a lovely angler fish tiki mug with the light and everything! The taste was complex and something that thought went into creating - "Four Boys" another non-alcoholic option that was the coolest visual as it came in a "steaming" crock pot. The taste was very unexpected, in a good way, and is a drink I would get again Overall the drinks were about a 4/5 but with the charming atmosphere and whimsical presentation it's a 5 star experience that is just fun

First and foremost, you need to make a reservation. I did end up needing to move my reservation up because of scheduling but it worked out and the staff were really nice about helping me. This is a speakeasy inside Rumba, I did not know that going in. It's incredibly cool to walk into the bar. The decor is amazing. It's super small though with a few tables and bar seating. It was kinda loud when I was there since most tables were filled. My server was nice as well and was able to answer all my questions. Ambiance was exceptional and is such a cool place to visit. Most of the cocktails came with fancy show of some sort and were extravagant - and equally delicious. I got The Inside Passage, but there were at least three others I was trying to chose from. There was a lot of thought that went into the presentation of each of the drinks and I love that attention to detail. Since it was around dinner time I did want to order food and drink. They did not have the Kikisoba (they ran out) and that made me sad, but I was able to order the Rumba sliders and a basket of fries. I'm not a huge sliders fan, and I did order the caramelized pineapple on the side. The sliders were incredibly flavorful and the perfect size. For anyone wanting to visit Seattle, I do highly recommend this place. It's a really cool vibe and the food is really good too.
