Buckwheat noodles

Really nice noodles. They were restaurant made and not manufactured. The staff was good. It was low noise environment for dinner.

Noodle/Bar is a small restaurant tucked away in SLU around the REI area. It has pretty dim lighting so it's pretty great for 1:1 dinners or dates. I'll start out by saying that I really enjoyed the Shaken Iced Tea & the vegetables. The Strange-Flavor Cauliflower, aside from its hilarious name, was so flavorful. I wasn't sure how mala and mint would mix together but it was great. I also liked the Cucumbers, your classic Chinese cold cucumbers! I didn't think the noodles were anything special. Actually, it felt like there was too much noodle in each dish; not enough sauce, soup, or toppings to balance it out. I will say that I'm happy that they take substitutions for vegetarian options. Not sure if I'd come back since I was disappointed by the main dishes, but I would recommend trying it out.

A convenient noodle store in SLU. The place is spacious and clean. The noodles themselves were tasty, but nothing spectacular. I think they were cooked well and not soggy, but I wasn't impressed by the flavours. The food didn't really have an identity, it felt like they were a place that just wanted to make asian style noodles. Despite having a large space, they were extremely understaffed when I went. They had only 2-3 employees and tons of customers, so the service was very slow. It took 20 minutes for them to serve water and over an hour and a half for the food. To their credit, they did give us a discount for waiting so long.

Pros: they are speedy and the flavor was good. Cons: seems that they are focused on to go and the service was very a bit brusk. The noodles where a touch undercooked (makes sense with to go to insure they don't overcook). And these are some pricey noodle bowls, that are a conservative size. Would expect a bit more in all areas to make me want to return.

They only have different types of noodle dishes, and I would say taste is average. It is definitely NOT authentic but it's not bad. They only have 1 server in the whole restaurant so she was very busy attending all the tables, and therefore service is definitely subpar. Place has dim lighting. Street parking.

Awesome little spot to pop by in South Lake Union. We were passing through town and needed a good stop for lunch. This did just the trick. The atmosphere is open and airy with nice mitts and wall coloring. There's a good number of tables and ample lighting with windows on two sides. Service overall was fine, nothing notable given there were only maybe 6 customers in the restaurant at the time but got the job done. The food itself was quite tasty and had nice hits of flavor. I went with the spicy peanut noodles with pork which was delicious. I wished the pickled cucumber was on the sweeter side but other than that it was a hit. My gf got the other spicy noodles which she enjoyed, just didn't think they were that spicy. We also split an order of dumplings which were tasty. A fun lunch spot if you're in the area for some casual and tasty eats.

Ambiance and service was fantastic! Everyone was super friendly and made sure that we were well attended to The noodles themselves were just meh. It was too salty for our liking and definitely is not authentic if that's something you're looking for.

A hidden gem located in South lake Union. This place succeeded my expectations. Service here is immaculate. I appreciate how vegetarian friendly this restaurant is. The best thing that we got was the ribs and the yibin burning noodles.the dumplings were authentic and flavorful. I highly recommend this place and would come back.

3.5 stars This is a cute neighborhood noodle place. We came on a Sunday for lunch. Arrived at 11:30am, and there was no wait. The service was quick and attentive, however, food was lacking. We got the sesame noodles, Yibin Burning noodles, and combo noodles. We all agreed that the flavor was a bit dull with a mostly savory taste and a little bit of spice. Not as flavorful as we imagined.

A cute noodle bar in Seattle! I had finished my morning work coffee shop hopping and stumbled across this noodle bar. I arrived just before the lunch crowd on a week day but was seated immediately. I got the House Egg Noodles and the Chinese greens and both were brought out very promptly. The noodles were al dente and had a bit of bounce to them. I don't see lotus roots often in non traditional Chinese restaurants so I was pleased to find them included in this dish. The ingredients were very cohesive and I finished the entire bowl. The greens were snappy and fresh and a nice compliment to a bit of a heavier bowl. I would recommend this spot for a weekday lunch whether dining with a group or solo!

Food: 1/10 I ordered the Combo, and I could not have been more disappointed in my life, given the number of good reviews I had seen for this place. The wontons in the noodle soup were pretty standard, as were the noodles, which tasted like commercial-grade lo mein. The broth was the main issue. It was completely bland yet very salty and slightly spicy. Unfortunately, it made everything taste pretty bad. I wouldn't come back to try the noodles or broth, but I am open to trying their other offerings that are not those. Service: 5/10 The server was nowhere to be found when I arrived, and I had to go and find someone myself (probably kitchen staff) in the open kitchen area to place the order. If the waiter is going to go on break or something, I think it's important to have other staff aware and ready to fulfill any necessary roles, especially front-of-house. After the waiter returned, they were very helpful and even offered to switch my noodles for something else since I didn't like them. There have been very few occasions where I absolutely did not like the food, but the server was extremely nice despite the lack of service in the beginning.

These noodles hit the spot, specially after a rainy fall morning. Not only was the restaurant ambiance lovely, but the service was so good. Our waiter took the time to walk us through their menu and gave amazing recommendations. A must try when in Seattle!

The udon were really good but if you let them sit for a long time they get a bit soggy and lose their texture, mainly a concern if you eat really slow though. My girlfriend and I stopped in before a flight, which in hindsight was a mistake. We ordered around 12:30 PM (niku beef udon, garlic pork udon, and chicken karaage), and it took nearly an hour to receive everything. The karaage came out first after about 40 minutes, then one udon about 10 minutes later, and the final dish close to an hour after ordering. Because of this, we weren't able to eat together unless one of us let our food go cold. On top of that, the restaurant itself was uncomfortably cold, which made the long wait feel even worse. It also seemed like many other tables were experiencing similar issues--orders coming out at different times or missing entirely, with customers having to repeatedly follow up. What stood out most was the lack of communication. There was no acknowledgment of the delays, no check-ins, and no apology--not when the food was dropped off, and not even when we left. Given that we had to pay upfront and the price point was $20+ per bowl, it made the experience feel even more disappointing. While the portions were decent and the noodles seemed handmade, the food itself didn't feel particularly special to justify the wait or cost. I truly hope this feedback is helpful. With better timing, communication, and overall service, I think the experience could be much better.

Luckily I was able to snag reservations, but you do sit pretty close to the tables around you. We didn't mind since we had a corner table. To share, we ordered the chicken curry nasi lemak, sayap ayam pedas, and kaya toast. All three dishes were phenomenal, each with its own distinct flavor. The sayap ayam pedas was a huge portion for just 2 people, but we couldn't stop eating. The combination of soy sauce and fish sauce was not overpowering at all and the chicken itself was so juicy. The chicken curry in the nasi lemak was delicious with the coconut rice. Along with the anchovies, egg, peanuts, and sambal, it was a choose-your-own-adventure kind of bite. The kaya toast was the perfectly sweet dish to balance out all the flavors. I especially loved dipping it in the poached egg for a satisfyingly runny bite. I left feeling so full, but so motivated to come back and try more dishes. Highly recommend!

The roti jala is an always-order, and great for sharing. The laksa is really good, and a great option for vegetarians. I personally like the nasi lemak, but just be careful not to add all of the chilis they provide you, as that can really overwhelm the flavor of the dish. The nasi biryani is good -- the beef rendang is wonderfully flavorful but not the most tender rendang I've had. Portions are satisfying, thankfully, since all the entrees are about $20 and up. This place runs like a well-oiled machine. Food comes out quickly and you feel well attended to here.

The start of the journey began with the requisite parking fiasco and issues that are perpetual in the Seattle ID...but that should never, and I mean never, stop an important mission like finding a truly delicious noodle restaurant. When we went in, it was pretty empty. We were immediately sat, and ordered. The hot jasmine tea quickly followed. Our Calamari came out quick and was delicious to the point I nearly had to fight my son for the last piece. I quickly surrendered as he does stab people...see above...he parried my fork and stabbed the last piece before quickly finishing the move. Our mains came out shortly after we finished the calamari. The 14yo ordered beef brisket noodle soup. He said it was delicious, but too spicy after he added too much chili oil. The wife scoffed at the idea that there's such a thing as too much chili oil and ate some of his soup. This was after she dug into her hot pot. I did get a chance to sample the delicate pork pieces and the flavorful rice. The slightly crispy rice at the bottom of the pot were so delicious. I had the Singapore style fried noodles. Really tasty. The noodles had so many flavors from the vegetables to the meats (shrimp, chicken meat & egg, and pork) and the sauce. I enjoyed the meal, and look forward to discovering more dishes to try on our adventures trying to find parking. JuFeng, thank you for the delicious meal!
