From the moment you walk in, you know you'll be in for a different experience! My highlight meal of the weekend in Seattle. Great staff - service was just on point. Water glasses filled, every runner was able to describe the dish delivered. And the manager was visible and made his way to make sure we were pleased with our dining experience. All our Tapas choices were a mouthwatering treat. From the egg shell caviar - scallop crudo - catalán croquet and my favorite - special of the day "Scallop with Corn" what a epicurean journey! Highly recommend - try to ask for the corner table, you'll really enjoy the view and the food will taste a better :)
Celebrated my birthday at La Loba last week and had a great experience overall. One thing I really appreciated was how easy it was to book a reservation for 10 people through Resy. The ambiance was cute and lively, and we were seated right next to the live band, which added a nice touch to the evening without being overwhelming. Since we had a larger group, we decided to order family-style so everyone could try a little bit of everything. We ordered the scallop crudo, oysters, 30-day dry-aged strip loin carpaccio, tartare, pan con tomate, patatas bravas, octopus al olivo, gnocchi con setas, rigatoni cacio e pepe, pan-roasted black cod, double ranch braised beef cheek, and tiramisu. The scallop crudo had a really nice Thai coconut flavor that I enjoyed, but the scallops themselves were quite small and I found myself wishing there was more of it. The oysters were a crowd-pleaser as always--fresh and delicious with no complaints there. The standout dish of the night was the 30-day dry-aged strip loin carpaccio. It was an absolute flavor bomb, and the presentation was unique, interactive, and fun. The tartare was decent, though I expected a bit more flavor. That said, the tableside preparation made it an enjoyable experience. I would probably pass on the pan con tomate next time. The tomatoes lacked depth of flavor and could have used a touch more salt. The patatas bravas were good--essentially one giant, crispy fry that was fun to share. The octopus was tender and flavorful, and definitely one of the stronger dishes. Both pasta dishes were good but not particularly memorable. The pan-roasted black cod paired nicely with the kimchi, and the braised beef cheek ended up being our table's favorite entrée. It was rich, tender, and packed with flavor. We finished with the tiramisu, which was a nice ending to the meal. Overall, La Loba is a cute special occasion or date night spot with a fun atmosphere and a few standout dishes. I'm happy I chose it for my birthday and enjoyed the experience, but I think I'd be more inclined to return if there were seasonal menu changes or rotating specials. For me, it's worth trying at least once, especially for the carpaccio and beef cheek.
Modern Barcelona cuisine in a beautiful, elegant urban oasis. Chef's tasting menu is delightful and decent value at its price point. Especially loved the scallop crudo, punk Caesar, braised beef cheek is outstanding. Awesome bartenders - Erik is the best!Tasty, house craft cocktails. The food was quite good, however, the service and environment were borderline unbearable. On the positive side: the 3 stars I am giving are entirely for the quality of the cooking and ingredients, which was strong. We enjoyed the appetizers and entrees (the only one not pictured in this review is the Patatas Bravas - a pave potato twist on the classic dish; crisp-tender and delicious). I did think that the iberico toast was overpriced for what you receive: it's $32 for 2 pieces. If you have more than two people dining, you're spending $64 for 4 modest pieces of tomato toast with a few slivers of ham on top. The standout for the entrees was the black cod - the skin was perfectly crispy, while the flesh was succulent. On to the negatives: we declined dessert due to the persistent noise (with the thumping music and the shouting diners, you feel like you're in the club, not in a fine dining establishment), and the lackadaisical attitude of our server, Skylar. His "service" was dismissive after we declined the tasting menu option at the beginning of the meal (even though we wound up spending far more à la carte than we would have had we chosen the tasting). The only moment that he was attentive was when it came time to pay - he loomed over my spouse while he used the POS, no doubt to make him feel pressured to tip generously (though said generosity was not merited under the circumstances).

Scallops and shave ice were super refreshing. Patatas bravas felt a little too fried. The pani puri appetizer had a nice flavor combo but also felt like charcuterie. The restaurant itself is tucked inside a hotel and decorated super nicely! Perfect for dates or outting with friends. Service was quick and attentive. I'd want to try the whole menu if I come back! Prices are definitely on the high side but worth it for the experience.
The food was all good, the drinks were good, but I would say as someone who has had Spanish tapas at pretty much every other spot in town, it's fairly overpriced. Also I was disappointed in the patatas bravas being essentially giant French fries with dipping sauce - I don't understand why everyone feels they have to innovate or deconstruct a perfect dish. It's simple but delicious bar food and that's the point. Anyways the service was perfectly fine. The ambiance was really the strongest point for me though - it's a really beautiful space within the hotel. The decor feels both sophisticated and like you're having dinner in the forest. I'd come back for maybe the drinks and 1 or 2 tapas or for a nice meal downtown, but if you're looking for authentic Spanish tapas, this is probably not your spot.
It's a pretty and lush green space inside the One Hotel. Good spot for photos both inside the restaurant and in the hotel lobby. The food here is pretty good: 1) scallops - 5/5. Delish flavor with coconut milk 2) scalloped potatoes - 5/5. Unique and deliciously flaky 3) black cod - 4/5. Tender and good 4) octopus - 3/5. Not my flavor palate 5) punk caesar salad - 5/5. Great mix of flavors and unique 6) bucatini - 4/5. Good flavor, al dente We also had several drinks, and our favorite was Shrimp with a Lobster Tattoo. Just be aware - it's pricy. Two drinks each and this amount of food later and the bill was about $500 for a group of 4.
You Will Be Disappointed. I was looking forward to going to La Loba, on the recommendation of a friend; in her defense, she went for dinner, we went to brunch. Perhaps the A team works the dinner shift, as there is zero service for the Sunday brunch shift. La Loba is led by a James Beard-Nominated Chef with experience at renowned Michelin-starred restaurants, which is why our experience at La Loba was so extra disappointing. As a guest, I expected more, and as guests, we should have received more. We were sat and our server takes our order. We did not see him again until the end our meal. Despite it not being busy, as they first opened at 10:00 AM, we were never checked on while we waited 20 minutes for waffles and tableside French toast. Perhaps we changed our minds, and did want to order coffee, or a cocktail, or supplement to our order (which I did), but was never afforded the opportunity as we never saw our server, and all other servers seemed incredibly busy just walking around the restaurant, not doing very much. This was not isolated to our table; there was another table where they were essentially left alone after their food arrived. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing brunch, La Loba will not be providing it, as there is a DJ playing music for ambience. The music was incredibly loud, where I could not hear my husband, who was sitting 3 feet away from me. When the food finally arrived, we were given a "show" (the tableside French toast), I am not sure why the server bothered to tell us what he was adding, as we could not hear him over the music and his mumbling. The food was unimpressive. My husband's waffles were hard and dry. My "XXL" French Toast was essentially a huge hunk of bread, topped with fresh berries, granola, nuts, vanilla gelato, and choice of local honey or dulce de leche. I had expected the bread to have been sliced and stacked, or for the bread itself to be somewhat flavorful. But no. Almost $40 for a hunk of hard, bland bread and some berries. The only flavorful aspect of the plate was the gelato. I could have forgiven the food if the service was better. Our server finally made an appearance to clear our plates and was shocked I didn't finish my hunk of bread. It was only at this point he asked if wanted anything else. We received our check as he hovered while we tapped our card to pay, and immediately cleared our table as we were getting up. If only he gave the same attention to clearing our table as he did in actually hosting us with hospitality, we would have returned for dinner. The food is not spectacular, or singular enough to override the non-existent service. The restaurant, like its food, is beautiful to the eye, but a huge disappointment when you actually experience it. A generous one star, because zero is unavailable. Just another Seattle restaurant with self-entitled service staff expecting a 20 percent gratuity for barely doing the minimum.
Came here for the new Brunch menu and they had so much to offer! Cocktails were a 5/5 and even had mocktails too! The food was also stellar and everyone finished their dish entirely, no leftovers in sight! I got the Spanish omelet and the rest of the table had the Benedict (came on a stunning biscuit), the hobos rancheros (complete with shishito peppers), and the bananas foster waffle (perfectly cooked bananas!). Our meal was amazing and we had the best time they even had a live saxophone player! The only improvement is our server got a bit annoyed he had to split the tab. Other than that 10/10 great brunch and can't wait to come back and try more!
This is my second time at this restaurant. I love the ambiance of the restaurant, it has very relaxing setting. Our server was Florent and he was fabulous. He was attentive and frequently came by to make sure everything was good. We decided to try the tasting menu this time and we were not disappointed. Everything we had was excellent. We all especially enjoyed the eggplant parmigiana. I will definitely come back when I'm in the area.
Beef cheeks and scallops were my favorite items of the night! Would go back for those two dishes alone, but I also want to try their beef tartare with roasted bone marrow. Guess this means I'm making a trip back soon! Skip the coconut bomb dessert. It left me wanting something to cleanse the palate. Service was exceptional. We mentioned we wanted chocolate to the server and she walked away so we thought she didn't hear...turns out she came back with a surprise chocolate torte dessert from Drift (the bar outside) for us! That dessert was so good - rich, but also light at the same time. Try it if you get a chance!
I'm a sucker for some tapas. And for raw scallops. So when I saw the main picture for this place as scallops, and it's a tapas place? Had to come try. It's located upstairs from the SLU Whole Foods. I parked at Amazon nitro garage since it's free weekends and evenings and walked over. Pretty convenient. I came in sans reservation for Saturday dinner, and was seated immediately at the bar. The ambience is dark, with lots of little table lamps, lots of greenery and wood. Was kinda loud as well. For food, my friend and I shared the scallops (ofc), the beef tartare, patatas bravas, and the sprouted cauliflower. Scallops were okay! The tom kha sauce was really yummy, and the candied jalapeño and chili salt added a nice crunch and zing. But the scallops themselves weren't very sweet and were overwhelmed by the sauce. Beef tartare was really good. Having it prepared table side is cute since they mix everything for you. It's maybe a bit more on the salty side, but I really enjoyed it. Brought out all the flavors. Patatas bravas were perfect. No notes. Crispy, hot, sauce was smoky and delicious. Cauliflower also delicious, but just a tad softer than we would've liked. For dessert, we got the pumpkin tiramisu, which tasted like a subtle PSL haha. I really enjoyed it, especially the cardamom cream on top, though it was mostly overwhelmed by the espresso flavor. Service throughout our meal was extremely attentive and friendly. Overall, a really great experience. Definitely on the pricier side, so probably better for special occasions. Also a special compliments to whoever is in charge of making all the sauces. Every sauce we had was spot on, flavors were amazing.
My boyfriend and I celebrated our one year anniversary here. We were greeted by a kind hostess, and an even kinder waitress! The waitress even gave us a couple champagne glasses on the house which was so sweet. We both did the tasting menu, they had a vegetarian option for me which was great. The food was well presented, and they spaced each dish wonderfully. Also, as a vegetarian their take on the patatas bravas was amazing! I absolutely loved it and it was my favorite dish I tried there. Their mushrooms were also delicious! Definitely visit this restaurant. The ambiance also reminded me of restaurants I've visited in Tulum which was lovely.

La Loba was an incredible dining experience and easily one of the most unique meals we had in Seattle. The menu takes inspiration from Spanish cuisine while incorporating flavors and techniques from a variety of global culinary traditions. Every plate was beautifully presented and full of bold, well-balanced flavors. Here's what we ordered: Tapas: - Patatas Bravas - Scallop Crudo Main dishes: - Pan-Roasted Black Cod - Double R Ranch Braised Beef Cheek Cocktails: - Hendrick's Oasium - Old Fashioned Piracy (not pictured below) The atmosphere was sophisticated yet welcoming, perfect for a date night, celebration, or special evening out. I recommend making a reservation in advance, especially for dinner. The service was exceptional. Our lovely server was attentive, knowledgeable, and offered wonderful recommendations that made our meal even better. read more

From the moment we walked into the 1 Hotel, we knew we were in for a great experience. The space is absolutely stunning--filled with lush greenery, natural rope accents, and such a relaxing, upscale atmosphere. There was a DJ in the cocktail lounge setting the mood, and when we made our way into La Loba, we were welcomed by a warm, friendly hostess. To top it off, three Cuban musicians were playing guitar and saxophone, which immediately elevated the entire dining experience. I started with the Tomato Martini, and it was chef's kiss--absolutely perfect. No notes. Our waitress was incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel so well taken care of throughout the evening. For appetizers, the scallop crudo is an absolute must-order. It was incredibly fresh and beautifully balanced. The octopus was equally outstanding, especially paired with the masa corn fritters, which complemented the dish perfectly. For our entrées, we ordered the Rigatoni Cacio e Pepe and the beef cheek, and both completely exceeded our expectations. They were hands down the best dishes of the night and some of the best we've had in a long time. Hats off to the chef's in the back! Between the beautiful atmosphere, live music, exceptional service, and unforgettable food, La Loba delivered on every aspect. We'll absolutely be back, and I can't recommend it enough read more

This restaurant was located inside a hotel. It's more of a modern classy dinner place, with smart casual attire. Not sure how the parking is since I walked over from a parking garage 5 minutes down the street. The service was great! We told them we were celebrating something and they gave us complimentary sparkling wine. Our waitress checked in on us regularly too. Bill came out to be pricey but I feel like it's something I'd expect from a nicer restaurant in Seattle. As for the food~ - Octopus Al olivo: 9/10 presentation was great, saltier than expected - bucatini: 9/10 the noodles were perfectly al dente and the sauce was cooked to perfection - patatas bravas: 10/10 perfectly layered and crispy, and the sauce that came with it to dip heightened the flavor - scallop crudo: 10/10 coconut-y and refreshing, tasted like a cold version of tom kha read more

My boyfriend and I celebrated our one year anniversary here. We were greeted by a kind hostess, and an even kinder waitress! The waitress even gave us a couple champagne glasses on the house which was so sweet. We both did the tasting menu, they had a vegetarian option for me which was great. The food was well presented, and they spaced each dish wonderfully. Also, as a vegetarian their take on the patatas bravas was amazing! I absolutely loved it and it was my favorite dish I tried there. Their mushrooms were also delicious! Definitely visit this restaurant. Romantic, vibey, fun and definitely gives you an "away on vacation" type of feeling! La Loba is a great place for a date, dinner with friends or if you're looking to unwind & enjoy great tapas and cocktails! I came with a group of 7 girls to dinner, no reservation but luckily they were able to seat us for a 2 hour slot. We had such a great time! Some of the dishes we enjoyed and rate are below: - Paletilla de Jamón 4/5 (a bit pricey for the iberico pork but delicious) - Pan Con Tomate 5/5 (table favorite, think bruschetta) - Patatas Bravas 5/5 (the best brava sauce ever with your XXXL fries) - Trinxat Croquetas 3/5 (a bit on the dry side but manchego cheese with cilantro vinaigrette was good) - Sprouted Cauliflower 5/5 (can't go wrong with broccolini with garlic confit and garden pesto) - Spinach Cavatelli 4/5 (portion is really small, enough for 5 or 6 small bites. Merguez sausage is tasty with the pecorino) - Bucatini 5/5 (would order this again! The pomodoro sauce with pork sausage was yummy!) Cocktails were also a hit! I highly recommend 2 cocktails I tried from the "Bright & Light" menu. You have to try the Monte Python & the Holy Grail - it has Amaro Montenegro, Ron Del Barrilito Three Stars Rum, Lime, Coconut, Pineapple, Clarified & Carbonated... omg it was so good I had to get 2! I also fancied the Shrimp with a Lobster Tattoo, a popular one at La Loba. If you're interested in a little table side service, get one of those fun Gin cocktails and your server will definitely bring the bar cart to the table! Overall dinner for us 7 came out to be around $900. We shared the appetizers and entrees, everyone had 2 cocktails then a bottle of wine to share. Overall, it was a fulfilling dinner and so much fun! I had a fantastic anniversary dinner at La Loba! Katelyn was amazing and made us feel so special and well taken care of. We tried the set dinner menu, which came with a big assortment of dishes to try. I was impressed by the thoughtfulness behind it; the courses felt cohesive, balancing rich flavors with lighter, refreshing dishes. My favorites were the caviar and egg, the strip loin carpaccio with puffed bread, and the granita dessert. The dessert was unlike anything I've ever tasted; the tart sorbet paired with the buttery popcorn mouse was an explosion in my mouth... I can still imagine the flavors, it was that memorable! The cacio e pepe definitely has Asian-inspired flavors with the squash and bonito flakes. I wasn't a big fan of this dish, but it was still tasty and well-executed. The drinks were yummy and strong. We appreciated the free digestif to celebrate our anniversary! The restaurant is lively, dark, and romantic. My girlfriend and I dined here in October before a concert, and honestly... wow. Everything about this place was a 10 out of 10. First, the food--absolutely unreal. I have to call out the * Scallops * Potatoes tapa But truly, everything we ordered was flawless. Not a single miss. Now let's talk about Talia, our server, because she deserves her own spotlight. She was amazing--warm, attentive, knowledgeable, and just genuinely made the whole experience even better. That kind of service sticks with you, and she nailed it. Restroom: near hotel lobby area Ambiance: quiet and dark. Not a fan, kinda hard to see menu or not photo friendly. Your party must order all tasting menu, you can't have 1 person have a la carte, the other order tasting menu. Menu: a la carte or tasting menu $95 per person. Birthday: they give you a choice of any desserts. My recommendation: go with a carte. As I calculate if we ordered a la carte style on all dishes given in tasting menu, we probably spend only half of the price. Let me give an example: we get the same 4 mini croquette for us to share the 4 of us, at the same time you get the same 4pc if you order a la carte. Same for the rest of the items in rest of the tasting menu. Service is good, friendly. They changed plates in between, which appreciated. Food wise: too salty, very salty dishes. Came here on a Tuesday evening and the restaurant was fairly filled but we were able to get a table for 4 in about 30 minutes. There is a parking garage, but when we went they unfortunately did not validate parking (luckily we got a fixed rate due to the hour and day that we went). First, when we walked in the ambiance of the place is dark and warm. The place is well designed and my personal favorite is the round booth seating. Secondly, my friends and I all ordered little small dishes because we wanted to try different things together. All of the foods tasted delicious, well balanced with flavors. For someone who is not a big fan of eggplant, the restaurant made me changed my mind when I tasted the eggplant parmigiana -- definitely recommend. They also offer a course plan, which I look forward to coming back and trying. Overall, had a pleasant time at this restaurant with both the service of the staffs (who are kind and accommodating) and the food. Would love to see parking get validated in the future, but you perhaps try to see the hotel or the market would. read more
I had an excellent time dining here at La Loba for a company dinner on a Tuesday night around 6 pm. It's a popular restaurant with a rainforest interior, classy atmosphere with dim lighting that's perfect for a romantic or special night. It's part of the 1 Hotel and has a separate area for the bar. The service was wonderful with attentive staff, staff who folded our napkins everytime someone left the table, and staff who thoroughly explained the dishes in depth. We had the tasting menu and one individual entree. - Gazpacho Shot: beautiful color mixed with vegetables, fruits, and other sauces. You can either take it in sips or take it whole. I decided to take sips to get that deconstructed flavor. Very refreshing and thick. Decadent flavors from the vinegar and horseradish crema. - Scallop Crudo: beautiful color and plating when it comes in a large bowl of ice. Hold with two fingers, cut once, and slurp. Unique flavors of spice and sour from the pickled jalapeño and candied lime. Went down smoothly. - Punk Caesar: The joke of the table was 1 leaf per person since the dish was very light. Interesting flavors from the Thai basil foam and dark chocolate with Parmesan. Very light and airy. - Striploin Carpaccio: The favorite appetizer of the table for its airiness, the crunch, and classic flavors of truffle and goat cheese. - Eggplant Parmigiana: beautiful colors of orange on this dish, very light yet filling with the eggplant. - Croquetas: heavy and filling with great flavors from cheese and cilantro. Before I go into the entree, the reason why I gave this a 4 because of an entree mishap with one of my colleagues. While 7 of us were served our entrees, 1 person didn't have their dish. It took about 20 minutes for the kitchen to finally bring out his order. However, in that meantime, they brought him the wrong dish as well. It's an awkward situation when everyone has their food except one person. I appreciate the staff and the manager for removing the item from the bill and offering my colleague a free drink, but I wouldn't have expected this error from a top tier restaurant. - Hanger Steak: loved this dish. Filling, hearty, and cooked well. Lean and clean, elegant as a machine. Excellent experience and would come here again. I highly recommend that you should too, if you're in Seattle! read more

Celebrated a birthday here and they gave us free champagne and a yuzu dessert:) We loved the ambiance with the dim lights and romantic setting but the place was a little hard to find since we didn't know it was inside the hotel. The food was interesting combinations that were very new and fun! The scallops reminded us of Thai curry while the lamb had an interesting use of grapefruit in the aioli. The food was thoughtfully plated and beautiful while not sacrificing on quality or balance. We felt satisfied portion wise and the food came out very quickly as well. read more
TL;DR: Lives up to the hype- but expect to pay for it. Worth a visit, even just once. Food: We only had the beef tartare, which was excellent. That said, the tableside prep felt a little over-the-top - my girlfriend felt awkward having to engage with the server doing the whole performance. Just a heads up. Vibe: Slick, upscale, definitely curated for a high-end night out. You'll feel it in the bill, but the space itself delivers. What could be better: Would love a happy hour option to try more without the full commitment. Our move was wine and tartare, then dinner elsewhere. In a very fancy and pretty hotel! Don't come too hungry unless you're ready to spend a lot. Expensive but super flavorful! Service is great and certain items like the tartare they mix in front of you. Scallop crudo - the coconut juice makes it feel similar to a tom yum! scallop is fresh and soft! 4/5 Beef tartare - The best beef tartare i've had so far. I love that they add bone marrow which brings in some extra richness and my favorite sauce is the green one! Comes with bread too. If you're not too hungry, you can be pretty happy sharing this with 2 people otherwise it's a one person portion. 4.5/5 Octopus Al Oliva - Octopus wasn't too chewy but also not as tender as some other places. Overall a 4.5/5 star experience. The interior is beautiful. Definitely that aesthetic restaurant that transports you to an earthy, Spanish , upscale restaurant. The tapas are small as traditional tapas are meant to be small shareables. The price is definitely on the higher scale. I think I enjoyed the tapas and drinks more than the main foods. The service was on the slower side but they gave champagne to apologize for the longer wait for food. Drinks were definitely upscale and sophisticated blends/mixers. Immaculate girls night dinner spot. The vibes here are insane. So stunning and gorgeous. Lots of beautiful greens and calming lights. Our server was so kind! I went to La Loba last month to celebrate a friend's birthday, and although I did not know what to expect, I was pleasantly surprised by the experience and wonderful food. The restaurant is located in a hotel with a dimly lit interior, with lots of greenery and a warm ambiance. There is a little band of live music performers as well, playing various tunes in the background. We settled on sharing various dishes, most of them being commonly seen dishes in the Vancouver food scene, but with a special twist in flavours and paired ingredients. The candied salmon was simple but delicious, a great recommendation for those who love sweet and savoury with hints of smokiness. I also really enjoyed the scallop crudo and found the tom kha sauce very unique (fresh, creamy, but slightly tart). The tableside beef tartare was also an interesting experience. Watching the process from start to finish definitely made the tartare seem special. I enjoyed the novelty of the 3 paired sauces (chives-jalapeno emulsion, gochujang, black garlic), but at the same time felt it was a bit much, as I didn't even end up using a lot of it. My friends felt the tartare flavour-wise was just okay. When the mains arrived, I was already feeling slightly full, so my review of these dishes may be slightly skewed! The rigatoni was exactly as advertised; my party found it sufficient but nothing out of the ordinary. I personally enjoyed the bucatini as it was simple but fragrant (lemon beurre blanc); however, some people may find this plain, especially if they have a heavier palate. The pork chop was juicy, and the porcini crust was unique, but I think it wasn't my preferred flavour profile (at least looking back, I couldn't think of anything too memorable with it). Last but not least, we ended with the pistachio tiramisu (not pictured), which was a delightful treat! In my rank of restaurant tiramisu, this one probably belongs in the top 5. The restaurant also delivered a strawberry shaved ice dessert as a birthday treat, and my friend ended up really liking it! It was a great way to end the meal. The service was prompt, and the cocktails are also really great here. My friend ordered one that was fresh, clarified, and fruity-type delicious (although I cannot remember its name, unfortunately - it is depicted though!). This is a special place, great for occasions or date nights. I may not return soon, as I am a bit far from Seattle, but La Loba definitely lives in my heart. read more

The missus got a day-before reservation for 2 people at 4:15pm, Friday, August 29th. We arrived promptly and were seated at the table for two immediately perpendicular to the front door (which is easy to find - at the top of the stairs, behind the elevators next to the whole foods, next to where Tutta Bella used to be). You get three menus - the main menu, tasting menu, and wine / drinks menu. They don't do beer - just wine and cocktails. The waiter (Skyler) mentioned the food is PNW and Spanish - the ingredients are mostly locally sourced. We chose the tasting menu - $85 per person (at time of writing). It comes with quite a bit of food, but we also ordered a bucatini and the patatas bravas on top of that. The waiter (Skyler) advised us this was plenty of food, so that was all we ordered. They request you order for the table (shared plates - tapas), and fully order upfront so they can portion and pace the meal accordingly. They offer still, sparking, or tap water. They consistently fill it up so I was never below 1/4 of my glass. That was nice. They kept refilling our water throughout - it's the little things. The first four courses tasting menu (tapas) were light and refreshing. The missus and I both liked the carpaccio the most. All were good, but the missus mentioned the other dishes were disproportionate in terms of the cheese and crumble. First dish (gazpacho) and carpaccio were the standouts. Next up was the platillos (2) - eggplant parmigiana and the croquette jamon. They both came at the same time. The croquette was moist and I liked the flavour! Eggplant was awesome - baked! We finished this course at 5pm - they're quite efficient. They cleared our plates and cutlery and replaced it at this point too. We got the patatas bravas at this point. The missus didn't think it was anything special, but I ordered it because I know the chef is from a small town 15 miles outside of Barcelona, and he felt this dish on his menu was special. Missus said it was greasy but very much "comfort food". I appreciated the complexity in the thin stack of potato layering, which looks like an enlarged fry (or a churro?), but nonetheless enjoyable for me. We had the choice to change our dishes again after the patatas, we said yes - it's nice that this is an option. Third was the platos principales. The missus ordered black cod - I ordered the beef cheek. These came out with the pasta dish we ordered. I liked both the cheek and the cod - we both thought that the cod had too much kimchi with it but the layering of flavours was quite interesting. The missus thought the mains weren't standing out - and I agree. They were all decent though - the pasta was hollow so it's like a really long miniature macaroni (heh). We finished (and packed leftovers) by 5:35pm - we haven't even been here an hour and it's gone by in a flash! They even packed the leftovers super fast! Last up was the dessert - granita - strawberry shaved ice with popcorn mousse. This was a nice refreshing end to the meal. Light, easy to eat, and even though I was full it didn't bloat me! Missus said they could have added more things like mint or something. We paid our tab and were ready to go by 5:45pm. Great use of 1.5 hours! Also, for a high-end tapas meal, after tax and tip it wasn't bad. Parking: nobody seems to talk about this. Given the lack of plaza parking in general, and given my preference for "free", we parked nearby at Nitro Parking Garage, since they're free on weekends and on weekdays after 4pm. Bathrooms: in the hotel. From the restaurant, walk through "Drift" (lobby bar), to the left past reception, and past both the hotel and the residential elevators. There's apparently live music today, on Thursdays and Fridays (flamenco band)? They started setting up as we finished our mains. Such a great spot. I feel like Seattle really needed an elevated tapas experience on the West side. They give a l unique take on traditional Spanish foods. Highly recommend the scallop crudo, patatas bravas, candied salmon, and the octopus. We just stuck to small plates since we weren't that hungry, but I'd try the mains on a second trip. Drinks were great. I was a fan of the Shrimp with the Lobster Tattoo. I'm not sold on the Loba considering they use tito's vodka which I'm not a fan of, but it's cute. Service was excellent. Hostesses were welcoming and professional. Bartenders were great at answering any questions about the menu or drinks. read more

First time at La Loba. Heard so much hype about this new restaurant on South Lake Union and needed to go and try the spot for myself! After my first visit at La Loba, I'm so excited to have a fine dining restaurant in Seattle that elevates the experience within their food and service. I have been recommending my friends and family to go to La Loba! O The ambiance gives you those tulum vibes. Since the restaurant is associated with 1 Hotel, it's a touristy restaurant. You can dress up or down - no policy. We did have an issue with the hostess and our reservation. However, the GM was super nice about it and he did help make our first time experience successful. Our group ordered several items to share, family style. Everything we ordered turned out flavorful. For appetizers, my favorites were: Scallop shooter - has a coconut flavor to it Green tartare - was served with rice paper. Highly recommend Coquette - one of my favorites Eggplant lasagna - a must. Couldn't tell there was no noodles in it Seared Salmon on a crostini - highly recommend. I'm blown away by the design, execution, and quality of our dinner here. Such an intimate tiki like fusion place that I highly recommend to bring your partner to celebrate special occasions. The cost of the dinner will give you a bit of a heart attack, but I thought it was worth it. European like service, our favorite music was playing, it wasn't loud, our plates were changed three times, food was the best it can be for Seattle - I am just shocked that this place even exists! The people here reminds me of home: California. I love the fact that this is tucked away in the heart of Seattle inside a gorgeous hotel. We might even do a staycation here at some point, bring our dog, and dine here again. I came to La Loba on a Saturday evening to celebrate a friend's birthday. The ambiance is nice - it's an urban oasis vibe being connected to the 1 Hotel in Seattle. The menu consists of hot and cold tapas, pastas and large plates. There was three of us and we ended up ordering 5 tapas, 1pasta and 1 dessert all to share. It was enough to fill us up. Overall we really enjoyed our food! We thought they were all pretty unique and tasty, and they had a nice presentation too. My favorites were the scallop crudo, candied salmon and eggplant parm. The scallop bucatini was pretty good too - the pasta was cooked al dente and the scallops were perfectly cooked as well. I think the only thing we didn't love was the 30-Day Dry Aged Striploin Carpaccio - it was a bit too salty? Maybe too much blue cheese inside the puffed bread. And the pistachio tiramisu didn't have as much pistachio flavor as we had hoped. Prices are on the higher end too for the portion size, so this is more of a special occasion/ nicer meal restaurant. Our waitress was great and overall service was wonderful. My friend even got a complimentary granita for her bday in addition to the pistachio tiramisu we ordered. Vibes and service were absolutely top notch -- definitely worth a visit for that alone. The place was packed, which added to the energy. As for the food, everything we had was solid, but nothing stood out as especially memorable this time around. We tried the octopus appetizer, the ragu, and the hanger steak -- all good dishes, just not blow-you-away good. That said, I'm definitely down for a revisit. It might've just been a matter of not landing on the right items -- looking forward to exploring more of the menu next time! read more
We're big fans of this groups restaurants in Las Vegas, so when we heard they were opening a place in one of our favorite cities to visit, we made a reservation! Explained they were really backed up and gave us some champagne while we waited, Service was good, quick and efficient. Jon was very friendly and helpful with suggestions on portions and things to try Chef Oscar came by to say hi, age was in town for the weekend I guess but was really nice to visit for a few minutes Food was amazing. Lot of similarities between Anima and here but different enough to make it worth the trip We have a bad habit of ordering too much, and we did so again. We had the scallops, oysters, candied salmon, palatilla, carpaccio, caviar egg, Bravas, black cod, cavitelli and the dry aged pork chop. In addition the chef sent over the green tartare and the endive salad Everything was delicious. The oysters come with trout roe, a little scoop of pico and some ponzu sauce. Very refreshing The scallops are done with Tom Kha sauce and some picked jalapeno. One of my favorite things and Anima and done right here The green tartare is so simple but so delicious. Made with just 3 ingredients it's bursting with flavor. One of our dinner companions said it was one of the best things he's ever eaten The endive salad was good but not one of my favorites. Filled with cheese and walnuts, it was tasty but paled to the rest of the offerings The palatilla was to die for. Wish I had 50 of them. So good, a highlight for sure The pork chops were amazing. The dry aging changes the texture and flavor and it was so good! Definitely the highlight of the meal for me. Drinks were good, had the pirates and the Monty python. Amazing food, gorgeous ambiance. Made me feel like I was back home in Miami, which was so nice on a cold January evening. We tried a lot of dishes. Everything except the pan con tomate was amazing. The pan con tomate def could've used a bit of salt & olive oil - maybe they accidentally left it off? Compared to everything else that app was super lack luster. Would 100% go back to have more cocktails and tapas. The "wolf in sheep's clothing" was an amazing super dirty martini. I'm still dreaming about the caviar eggs, Steak carpaccio, octopus, croquetas, hangar steak & deconstructed key lime pie. Service was on point. read more
We had a great time at La Loba. We got a Friday night dinner reservation a few weeks ahead of time and it lived up to the hype. The drinks were great, I got the Hunter's Moon and it was fantastic. The food was delicious. The smoked salmon and scallop crisp were some of my favorites. The desserts were huge, we ordered two but definitely could have gotten just one and shared instead. The staff was friendly and attentive and the energy in the restaurant was great. read more

SO GOOD! The tapas are what this place is known for. Tapas are appetizers that pretty filling, I would recommend choosing tapas instead of the main entrees, because there are so many to choose from. The restaurant is located in a hotel and the ambiance seems like you're on a tropical island. I would recommend coming for a special occasion.
