We're still superfans of Uptown China. This last time we even found convenient parking in back (usually it's super tight back there). We had the House Special Chicken, the Ma Po Tofu, Pot Stickers to start and Brown Rice. Best were the Pot Stickers and the Ma Po Tofu. The House Special Chicken could have been called House Special Water Chestnuts due to the mass quantities of them. We would like more different veggies please next time! In the booths, at least two of the upholsteries have holes in them, gulp! Our server was super nice and I was a fan of the 70s throwback music being played. Will we be back though? Of course we will.

I was optimistic about this Chinese restaurant, but unfortunately, I understand why it has such low reviews. The biggest problem was the food. I had their orange chicken, and I was able to also try their lo mein. Both quality in taste felt below restaurant standards. The orange chicken wasn't that flavorful and sweet. It cost $19 and it doesn't include a side of rice which is an extra $3. The lo mein was pretty standard. Both dishes tasted like fast food quality honestly. The service was good. The food didn't take that long to make an the server was nice. The prices of the food were high considering how low the quality is. The ambiance was okay. It had plenty of seating. But the style seemed plain. Unfortunately, I wouldn't come back here.

As always, we had a great lunch, and nice conversation. Our waitress, Doina was excellent with a beautiful smile. We felt welcomed in and enjoyed our time! This is always one of our favourite places to go for good Chinese! The music was really fun this time too!

Great for groups big or small, plentiful vegan options!! Huge portions, all delicious. The service was kind and swift, we were heathens and came in as a group of 10 without a reservation, they sat us without question, even moving tables when 2 more arrived! They split the bill easy at the end too. Half of us are vegan or vegetarian and the my have an entire vegan menu which made that easy. 3 of us shared the crispy eggplant and it was plenty. The spicy mushrooms had a delicious meaty texture too! I didn't try others dishes, but there were no complaints :) Friends remarked in the strength of the uptown margs, so could see this as a good pregame spot for a big night too.

Walnut Prawns. A taste of heaven on earth.

Uptown China is consistently fabulous! If you have never gone there and ordered Walnut Prawns you have missed a true flavor of heaven on earth. Honestly that good! You will thank me. The relaxed but polished atmosphere, fast service friendly owners and servers add to my five star rating. Go forth and try the Walnut Prawns! (Their other food is great too, in case you have shrimp allergy or want to just till Heaven to try the prawns...

Id give this à 3+. Good solid Chinese fare. Pleasant service, generous portions. The restaurant is well laid out and clean. Although we were there during a Krakens game and the place was full, we were seated and served quickly. We split an order of Singapore noodles, spice level 3. I did not find it overly spicy and the portion was easily split between the two of us. We were still a bit hungry so ordered some spring rolls. The filling was good, but the outside was a tad greasy. I'll come back to try some of the dishes I saw on the adjacent tables, especially that eggplant!

This is ok for plain Chinese food. I ordered Sesame Shrimp with Broccoli, and it was very bland, not much spice or taste. The broccoli that came with it was perfectly plain. Husband had Sweet and Sour Shrimp and thought it was good. They've apparently changed their spring rolls, so they're crunchier inside but not as tasty. As usual we had to go looking to pay the bill.

Overall good Chinese place to enjoy below Queen Anne area. Good foods, good services, clean place and no waiting on weekend, food portions are generous, and prices are okey. Took the kids here and they ordered the foods a they ate them all without complaining.

5* for the food - we loved everything we ate 2.5* for the service - they were incredibly incredibly slow and we had to wave them down repeatedly for the check, the one server spilled the soup all over when she delivered it but didn't notice as she was rushing away because she was in such a hurry The ambiance was fine. Very normal. Overall this spot remains our favorite for the food because of the vegetarian menu and food quality. But that said we will probably stick to take out.

My 10-year-old daughter is usually very suspicious of fish. Like, if it even smells "too ocean-y," she's out. But somehow this place turned her into a seafood enthusiast for the afternoon because she absolutely demolished her cod fish and chips. Not a crumb left behind. We were all staring at her in disbelief I ordered the 16oz clam chowder, which was rich, creamy, and hit the spot perfectly because Seattle weather basically demands chowder. My husband got the salmon fish and chips and let me just say... the salmon absolutely showed up the cod. No offense to the cod, it tried its best lol. Also, can we talk about the fries for a second? I don't know what kind of magical potato situation they have going on back there, but my husband and I could not stop eating them. Crispy, salty, addictive little things. Overall, the food was amazing, we left full and happy, and my daughter discovering she actually likes fish might've been the biggest surprise of the trip. Would definitely come back!

It's located next to Din Tai Fung and has seating but there was barely anyone there. They did a great job bagging everything to go including a well wrapped sourdough bread bowl. The clam chowder is definitely some of the best. The bread bowl is okay. I didn't really care for the market chowder which was a smoked salmon chowder. The chowders come with a piece of bread and a bag of oyster crackers.

Dough Zone -- Strong Food Undermined by Poor Hospitality…read more Rating: (3/5) Dough Zone continues to attract crowds for its affordable dumplings and dependable comfort food, and to be fair, the kitchen still delivers solid flavors. Unfortunately, this visit was overshadowed by a frustrating service experience that took away from what could have been an enjoyable meal. Ambiance - 4/5 The restaurant maintains its familiar modern-casual atmosphere: lively, efficient, and designed for quick turnover. Despite the busy environment, the space remains relatively comfortable and clean, making it an easy spot for casual group dining. Authenticity - 4/5 The menu reflects classic Northern Chinese comfort dishes and Taiwanese-inspired small plates fairly well. The xiao long bao and noodles still capture the approachable flavors that made Dough Zone popular in the first place. Flavor - 4/5 The food itself was enjoyable. The xiao long bao were flavorful with properly developed broth inside, and overall execution from the kitchen remained consistent. No complaints regarding the dishes themselves. However, what became frustrating was a conversation regarding the Dan Dan noodles. I asked whether the dish contained pork -- a perfectly reasonable question, especially considering authentic Sichuan-style Dan Dan noodles traditionally do contain minced pork. Instead of answering professionally, the waitress responded dismissively: "Since when does Dan Dan noodles have pork?" That response was both inaccurate and unnecessarily condescending, particularly toward a guest who clearly understands the cuisine. Service - 2/5 This is where the experience declined significantly. The waitress came across as rude, dismissive, and surprisingly uninformed about a very standard Chinese dish. Hospitality aside, basic menu knowledge should be expected. To their credit, the service lead attempted to recover the situation by comping one order of xiao long bao, which I appreciated as a gesture of accountability. Without that effort, this review would likely have been lower. Cost - 4/5 Dough Zone continues to offer good value for the quantity and quality of food. Pricing remains one of its strongest advantages, especially for group dining. Final Thoughts Dough Zone succeeds where many casual dumpling chains do: affordable, tasty food served quickly. But strong kitchens can only carry a restaurant so far when front-of-house hospitality breaks down. The food earned the 3 stars. The service nearly brought it down to 2.

They only have 2 high premium fishes available: otoro and amberjack. However you can only get 1 of each, which to me defeats the purpose. I also got a bulgogi inari and it was $5 / piece which is pricey. Another thing is that they use a lot of rice, too much rice. Service is ok, they ring you up and bring the food to you if you ordered through the menu. It's a very relaxing and chill area as well.
