Nice view, but the drink was just okay and the service was the worst I've experienced. The hosts were friendly and seated us promptly, but our server didn't come over for 10 minutes, and when he finally did, he simply placed two empty cups on the table for water without greeting us or acknowledging us. We then waited another 15 minutes before anyone came to take our order. The male server with blonde curly hair clearly seemed more interested in chatting with certain customers than serving others. After waiting so long, we ended up going inside to place our order ourselves. When the server finally approached and asked if we wanted anything, I told him my sister was already ordering inside. He simply said "okay" and walked away without any apology for the delay. The view is beautiful, but it's not worth being treated this way. I especially loved how all the cocktails had tech-themed names, it added a fun touch. We ordered one of their signature drinks and absolutely loved it (my favorite was "clickbait"). We also split the butter chicken flatbread, which was pretty good. Honestly, if we had more time, we definitely would've tried more from the food menu. The view was nice but the food and service were mediocre at best. First off, when we arrived it was just bar service (no table service) so we ordered all our drinks at food at the bar. Bartender was short with me when I asked a couple questions about the wine. I ordered a flatbread and a grazing board with chicken liver mousse. They told me they had to make the mousse which would take about 5-10 minutes which I said was completely fine. Food finally got to our table, grazing board took close to 30 minutes after we ordered. The chicken liver 'mousse' was more of a grey soup. It was not at all the texture it should be at but somehow was still extremely cold? It was embarrassing for them to serve it like this and had the audacity to say "freshly made, as good as it gets". I really should have said something while I was there but again, service was mediocre at best and I could not find anyone available (it was not even busy, there were plenty of empty tables). You definitely pay a premium for the view. Likely will not be coming back. read more

More than 50% of the reserved tables were empty at 11 pm on a Saturday. They should also include some table side service if they want to create an intimate atmosphere. Overall, the place was super loud, not cz of the music but because of the people screaming. The cocktails were average. We tried a mangattan and a cosmopolitan. ALTITUDE Sky Lounge is located on the 16th floor of Astra Hotel. It has a great view of the Space Needle. You can also see a glimpse of Lake Union. Once you arrive at the hotel, it is very clear how to navigate your way up to the rooftop bar. However, it was a bit challenging operating the elevator as it seemed we needed to scan a hotel key card to access the different floors. My friend was celebrating her birthday and made the reservation for the party. It was a beautiful, sunny Saturday evening. Unfortunately, I forgot to bring my sunglasses, but the bar has sunglasses for customers to borrow during their time here if needed! My sister ordered the Ultraviolet Dreams (purple potato-infused tequila, coconut-ube black sea salt cream, Cointreau, lime) $21 and I ordered the Tech Bubbles (reposado tequila, mango-gochujang shrub, lime, Topo Chico) $20. These were both cocktails off their usual menu. The drinks were pleasant, but definitely on the pricey side. There are also small bites on their non-drink menu. We had a cake for the birthday girl, luckily the bar was able to provide plates and utensils, but for a cost. I don't remember if our waitress said it was $3 or $5 per. Regardless, it was more than I anticipated. All in all, it was a good experience. We were well taken care of with the staff here. They made sure to check back with us frequently. read more

We were staying at Hotel Astra and this lovely dramatic sky bar is located rooftop of Astra. You must reserve on their website to visit the sky bar. I'm glad they limit capacity for a better experience. No shows are charged so cancel if you change your mind. You go up in the elevator and when you pop out you will be asked for your name on reservation. It's a 2 hour booking but if it's a slow weeknight you can usually stay longer. There's patio heaters and cool gas fire pits on the coffee tables as well. There is an appetizer menu. We had the charcuterie board. It was tasty. I had wine and Dan had a 7 & 7. Drinks and service are good. They have a small pizza oven up there and make small pizzas that looked good. We were having dinner downstairs so we didn't eat more. We came to Altitude Sky Lounge with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday and brought our own cake. The staff was kind enough to store it in their fridge when we arrived, and I expected there might be a cake-cutting fee, which ended up being $50. I don't necessarily have an issue with the fee itself, as it's pretty common at upscale restaurants and lounges. What was disappointing was the service surrounding it. When it was time for the cake, we had to ask four different servers to bring it out. Every time we asked, we'd hear, "Oh, no one brought it out for you yet?" but nothing would happen. After waiting well over 30 minutes, the cake finally came out. To make matters worse, no plates or forks were brought with it. We had to ask multiple more times for utensils, and eventually we gave up and grabbed plates ourselves from the bar. After another wait, someone finally brought us forks. If you're going to charge a $50 cake-cutting fee, I'd expect the service that comes with it. Instead, we had to repeatedly remind the staff, wait over half an hour for our own cake to be taken out of the fridge, and even serve ourselves by collecting plates. Charging for a service that we essentially had to coordinate and complete ourselves just doesn't make sense. It really put a damper on what was supposed to be a special birthday celebration. read more

It had jalapeños in it which took us off guard because the description did not say it would have jalapeños in it despite the name saying it's a firewall. This is the description for it "Mezcal, Persimmon Shrub, Lime, Cointreau, Agave, Tiki Bitters". Both drinks were small and bill ended up being $47. We had some friends from out of state stopping by as they waited for their Alaskan cruise the next day. Decided it would be a great night in Seattle for a rooftop bar scene, it was so beautiful. A perfect night out there, the space needle twinkling in the back and just the view of the city on a beautiful summer evening. The $300 reservation fee that was needed for a party of our size was insane, and one of the only nice servers said, "I can't believe you fell for that it is such a scam. Most concerning, I believe one of my friend was drugged here after only two drinks and became completely unresponsive, paralyzed and with almost no pulse. This was the only place we went all night, which was extremely frightening. I also saw a man recording one of the girls in my group while she was taking the shot she later got sick from.
