We decided not to order the AYCE because a couple of us can no longer eat that much. Our group of 6 ordered the large Mixed Combo and these appetizers: Do Si chicken, crispy chicken and the corn cheese. Everything was very good including the banchan. Service was also good too. I visited Do Si Korean BBQ on a Sunday and the restaurant was pretty empty when I first arrived, but it started to fill up as the afternoon went on. The space gives off Korean pocha vibes, and the best part of the experience was definitely the location. Being right across from the water with a nice beach view made the atmosphere really enjoyable. Service started off well, but once it got busier, it became a lot less consistent. Unfortunately, the food didn't match the price point. The quality of the meat was disappointing, and both the kimchi stew and corn cheese were lacking flavor. Even the side dishes tasted like they had been sitting for a while and weren't very fresh. They also don't offer a lunch menu on weekends, so for what you're paying, the food quality just isn't worth it. Overall, the only standout for me was the view. tried this new kbbq spot right on alki, and it was busy!! we had made a reso for a big group, and i highly recommend doing that regardless of group size or you might be stuck waiting for awhile. we chose the regular tier ayce menu, which had a pretty sizeable assortment of meat choices. a stand out for me at this spot was the beef tongue! the rest of the meat quality was decent but maybe not the best ive had. the banchan was also the star of the show, wow each one was delicious, i especially enjoyed the radish kimchi, the broccoli, the potato salad, and the bean sprouts. service was helpful and attentive, although they did feel a bit rushed due to the dinner time rush. the lay out of this place is definitely packed, so i probably wouldnt bring young kids here, lots of movement and hot plates goin around. also the ventilation was a bit lacking and definitely left smelling of meat all over. read more

I usually don't get to-go and I seldom review it, but dinner hit the spot and I'm making it everybody's business. I got Galbi Beef and Soft Tofu Stew with a salad and all the banchan. Really enjoyed coming to this new location on Alki. We came in on a Saturday and wow they were busy! It was a good thing that my daughter RSVP, because we were seated pretty quickly. I didn't really like the seating arrangements. The tables were so close to the other party, so there's no privacy. (Open and loud) But other then that, it is a nice place to come eat and there's a small bar that you can hang out at if your waiting on a table. We've been wanting to try this place for a while, and we finally had a free night to check it out. It definitely lived up to the hype! Everything was delicious, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the quality of the meat really stood out. I also loved that the table was already stocked with utensils and cold water--it's such a small detail, but it made the experience even better. I really enjoyed my dinner here and it's just a few steps away from Alki Beach - unbeatable. Service was exceptional. The staff, especially Mason and Brandon, the manager, were incredibly friendly and helpful, answering every question I had and offered great suggestions. Came here with friends to celebrate the New Year. I love KBBQ so I was excited to try it out. One of the first things I noticed was how helpful the staff was. We were addressed as soon as we entered, they explained how it works just in case, and throughout the meal they were always checking in and helping clear plates and what not. I loved the energy inside with its mix of K-Pop music videos, sports being shown and more. And then of course the food itself. The menu features favorites that you'd expect from a KBBQ place and it doesn't disappoint. I kinda wanted to give it a 4 because the menu is set to prime dinner for AYCE all weekend regardless if you're there for lunch. They had smaller portions for appetizers but it was fine since they were responsive when we asked for more appetizers. Loved the cheesy corn! Oddly, that portion was larger. I'm guessing it's to cut down on possible food waste. The food was great and the service was friendly and kind. They had background music and sports games on but it wasn't overly loud which I appreciated because you can still talk with the people you go with. First time trying KBBQ @ Do Si last night and it was fantastic!! We were a group of five with no reservations arriving 6:30pm on a busy Friday night. The place was packed so we were told it might be a 20-30 minute wait but ended up being 10-minutes. From the moment we arrived, it was nothing but great customer service! We were greeted by Mason who turned out to be our server, and is also one of their bartenders! Their banchan were all delicious and good portion sizes! And being an AYCE, we were able to restock our faves! We ordered LA galbi, beef bulgogi, pork belly, garlic soy chicken, and other ribbed meats--all of it perfectly marinated and delicious!! Now the bonus of the evening was really our servers Mason and Efraim!! We learned a thing or two about wine from Efraim and boy do these two have a wicked sense of humor! Kept us in stitches the whole night! The atmosphere was very lively! And we noticed more tables opening up around 8pm so if you decide to come here on a Friday, this seems to be prime time to getting a table quickly. Also, as with any KBBQ, be prepared to smell like you came from one when you leave, which definitely is not a bad thing if you're coming home to pets! For AYCE dinner there are only two price options, with the latter offering four dishes which we passed on that had two items we thought were more "exotic" for our tastes (e.g. jowls, intestine). Other than that, you can select four items from their meats and two items from their appetizer options each time you order--all of which you can alternate. And dessert are options of ice cream which hit the spot! They just opened in October 2025 and we hope they stay a restaurant staple on Alki. A group came in after us and ordered a Soju Tower which is an impressive tower of alcohol! Price wise, it'll beat the pants off any other restaurant offering something similar as they add more bottles of soju to make you end up in a dark alley questioning your life's choices. If you like KBBQ and are in West Seattle, definitely give this place a try!! We will definitely be back and look forward to seeing Mason and Efraim! read more

The meat quality was solid, and all the sides and sauces were flavorful. Some of the additional dishes like the fried chicken and corn cheese were great too. Since they just opened, it does get quite busy, so making a reservation ahead of time might help. The location itself is relatively small but cozy, and I liked that they have several TVs around if you want to catch a game while eating. Parking is limited to street parking since it's right on Alki Beach, but it's worth checking out if you're in the area and craving KBBQ. read more

First time eating out here! AYCE kbbq was delicious! We went on a Sunday so the premium was $46 & the supreme was $58. We went with the premium option. We got the beef brisket, beef belly, pork belly, & galbi and went with corn cheese & pancake as our sides. It was all really good. The service was great- we were checked on several times & sides were refilled for us. They gave a lot of food so we never made it to the second round . All and all we'd love to come back. Just tried this spot right on Alki in the old Duke's location...super prime time spot & we got to see the sunset, BONUS! I definitely recommend reservations, the place was busy & parties kept coming in the whole time we were there. They even have upstairs seating also just like Dukes used to have, I bet it has a nice view in daylight! When we got to our table, the banchan was already waiting for us. Pretty common banchan like sautéed fish cakes, 3 types of kimchi, smashed potato salad, pickled ultra thin sliced daikon, bean sprouts & some seasoned steamed broccoli...but we were so hungry we gobbled it up. I thought it was a nice touch that it was waiting for us at our reserved table. Our 4 top decided on the AYCE Premium at $45/ person. This is a pretty great deal, you get to choose from a long list of meats & seafoods both plain or marinated, 4 proteins at a time and 2 appetizers/ order with items like kimchi stew, japchae & cheese corn to name a few we got. They also have at least 3 different flavors of chicken wings, dumplings & tteokbokki in a mild red sauce with fish cakes. KBBQ is also served with salad but we asked if they had ssam and our server said that he could give us whole lettuce leaves & some ssamjang paste, but sadly they didn't have any perilla leaves but we just used our kimchi & thin sliced radish banchan in our wraps...so good with the freshly grilled meat. I'll definitely go back especially if I'm too lazy to drive all the way to Federal Way or way up north to Lynwood or further...that's where the real authentic Korean food is. Decent amount of seating for big and small parties. Great location //FOOD// - The grill is an induction like oven so it barely gets super hot like the spots that use a real fire/flame. This makes the meat just taste okay to me and not have that nice char I typically like. - meat quality is just okay. Nothing to write home about. Especially when you pay $45 you expect premium meats (at least from other joints) you expect better quality meats. If this spot was $20-$27 I could understand the quality. - Banchans were not extremely unique to me and tasted not homemade. I don't like to assume things but I feel like usually spots have a speciality banchan and this spot tasted like it was store bought. - Soybean soup was cold when I received it like it was sitting out for a while //SERVICE// Service is sub-par and one waiter was very dismissive and they never refill water, banchans or ask if you want to order unless you flag them down. I literally asked her for a grill change, she says okay, proceeds to help another customer and then makes eye contact with me as she does something else. We came with my parents, who just landed from Seoul, and left the restaurant feeling like we found our place. If you frequent KBBQ spots, you know many don't offer thinly sliced pork belly. What a surprise to see it on the menu. The marinade of the LA galbi was delightful. The thinly sliced brisket is the main course. If it were my first time, I would go for: the thinly sliced brisket, the thinly sliced pork belly, and the galbi. And cook it in that order. They say having galbi first will "steal your rice and your tongue," because it's delicious with rice, filling you up quickly, and the rich flavors will affect the more subtle offerings. I'd also ask for a grill change either before or during the galbi because the marinade can burn. My father insists, with the thick-cut pork belly and the galbi, they be turned over only once. It's a meal at times about patience and stubbornness. Perhaps, the most important, is how to prepare every bite. With the brisket, wrap it with radish. With pork belly, no sauce, dip it in salt. With galbi, with rice. The careful difference is grilling your kimchi. Cook it along the edges of the pan, and flip them when their color goes warm. This makes the kimchi sourer, a vital zing to the meal. For the sides, I would skip the kimchi jjigae and the tteokbokki, for now. My warning against the sides will stand. Yet the banchan, I thought, were nice. The one not to miss is the gyeran jjim, or they call it egg souffle. Just a beautiful one here. At first, I mistook it for being bland, but it's sensible as you dig into the bowl. The restaurant and staff were surprisingly sweet about my boisterous one-year-old son, who climbed over the ice cream fridge and took one out and spilled it on the floor. My thoughts come back to a sense that KBBQ is more often a ceremony, a practice, a way to show care towards one's family and friends, perhaps in a setting where it is more likely to be received, as opposed to a more private place, like the home, where one may feel embarrassed to exchange feelings of love and tenderness. And this is the most essential thing to understand when coming to a Korean barbeque restaurant. If you come here, perhaps without this understanding, without a guide, and without knowing what these things mean, it may deeply affect your impression and also thwart your newfound enjoyment and pleasure for something different. In the end, the particular cuts, the order of things, the placement, like the soups going on the right side, the rice going on the left, are all there not for ritual's sake alone but for the comforts of conscientiousness and reciprocity. We make the first wrap, and offer it to the one we love. We wait for the eldest to pick up their chopsticks before we reach for our own. When our neighbor is struggling with their grill, we rescue them without hesitation. KBBQ is enjoyed in the doing of things, and many times, doing things for other people. This is why, when I come upon those who would like to try KBBQ, and who are not yet familiar with it, I will make the effort to go with them, and show them how to enjoy it, because the enjoyment comes in moments of pouring a glass for another, of raising them in order of seniority, and though there is no seriousness over such hierarchy and authority, there is still a playfulness in doing something that can only be achieved if we are willing to go along with it, together. read more

I'm frustrated to be writing this review because I don't want to harm the business. However, on Christmas Day I had a very disappointing experience and was essentially asked to leave the restaurant early despite having a confirmed reservation. I followed up directly with the restaurant afterward; not to complain publicly, but to make sure they understood what happened and had the opportunity to address it or improve going forward. Unfortunately, I never received any response or even an acknowledgment of my message. Having a poor experience at a restaurant is frustrating enough, but being completely ignored afterward when you try to communicate in good faith makes it even more disappointing. read more

All was very tasty. The galbi was the best hands down! The japchae was also amazing and the flavor was so good with generous cuts of beef.
