First time visiting their brick + mortar shop after being a loyal patron of theirs for years at the CID festivals. I think their fish sauce wings are one of a kind -- salty, umami, and oh so crispy. And the garlic noodles are spectacular as well. I ordered the 10 piece wings with fish sauce, as well as the Hainanese chicken rice. I didn't opt to get their drinks because I've had it before years ago and thought it was just ok but they do have plenty of interesting flavors. They package everything really well to go, and my total came out to around $40 for the two items. As for the food, I really enjoyed the Hainanese chicken rice! It was flavorful, tender and the sauces were all fantastic pairing. The fish sauce wings, however, are where I docked a star. It was still crispy but on the dry side. I also only got two wing pieces out of the 10 piece order. The rest of the 8 were all drums. Next time I will specify that.
These garlic noodles are probably the best I've ever had. So flavorful. So incredible. I'm not a wing person and the nouc mum wings are sooo good. The Hainanese chicken rice was okay, especially after trying the noodles. Rice is good with all the sauces.
This place is seriously so good!! The fried chicken is worth the hype I've been seeing on social media. I came here after stopping by a drink place across the street. I dined in and got ten wings and picked the fish sauce and honey chili crisp flavors. Fish sauce was good but didn't stick to the chicken very well BUT the honey chili crisp was where it's at. I don't know if I was just in more of a saucy mood, but it covered all of the fried chicken and had the best sweet and spicy kick to it. def recommend sauce if you get the wings. The chicken has this great crisp to it and is juicy inside. I got the side of the chicken fat rice which is a dream since I eat rice with everything and it's not always offered at fried chicken shops. We received a free Hong Kong lemon tea since we dined in. We watched the soccer game on the tv while eating and there was a steady stream of customers coming in to pick up. The menu is fairly large and offers a lot of options besides fried chicken to please the crowd. Drink selections looked good too. Service was kind and i plan on coming back soon!
Good place to get garlic noodles and chicken wings, smoothies and Boba. Service was good, decent amount of parking, food is very casual and quick. Overall, my favorite was the mango coconut smoothie. The chicken and noodles were OK. Overall, I'll come back.
I will definitely be coming back! I came here with friends after a 5K, and thankfully, we only waited a few minutes before getting a table. Other groups were waiting quite a bit, so we got lucky. While there is limited seating for dining in, they do have a dedicated area for those waiting. There was a promotion for a free tea with a purchase, which was really refreshing alongside the meal. We ordered the Hainan chicken rice and the garlic noodles, which were both excellent; I definitely recommend ordering one of those as they pair perfectly with the wings. For the wings, we got fish sauce, lemon pepper, sweet chili, and gochujang. Every flavor was great, but the fish sauce really stood out as my favorite! Overall, I will definitely be coming back, especially to place a to go order. There are games available if you are lucky enough to grab a seat, and the service was very friendly and quick, especially given how busy they were.

This has to be one of the best meals I've had in Seattle! It's a little far and tucked away, but very well worth the trip. When you walk in it's a pretty small place with some tables spread out. You order at the counter and then they bring you your food when ready. We got the garlic noodles, fish sauce wings, and lemon pepper wings. Since we came before 2pm we also got free lemon tea! The food came out relatively quickly and was the perfect amount, if not a bit too much, for the two of us. Everything was absolutely delicious - my tastebuds have never been so happy. The garlic noodles were so flavorful and had the perfect savory-sweet balance, while the wings were juicy, crispy, and soaked up the flavors so well. I did prefer the fish sauce since I tend to like that flavor better in general, but the lemon pepper ones were also fantastic. Overall, definitely a spot I'd return to!
Came here as an early dinner date with a bestie and we both enjoyed the vibes and food. I ordered a thai tea and the garlic noodle plate with snow cheese wings. The noodles were a 5/5 and the wings were a 4/5. The snow cheese is reminiscent of the cheesling coating from BB.Q Chicken (which i'm obsessed with) but the chicken meat itself lacked flavor. The thai tea was delicious as they usually are. I ordered a meal to go (lemon pepper wings and thai tea) for my husband and he enjoyed the wings and also gave them a 4/5. the crunch is amazing but the flavor was slightly lacking. the employee who helped was really kind and helpful with questions we had and taking the order. would love to come back and try their poke nachos (which are only available on weekends)
I remember this place used to be located somewhere in Chinatown, but I more remember them for being vendors for many CID events throughout the years. I was really happy to hear they now have a physical location to get to, so I drove to get here on a Sunday at 4pm. They share an excruciatingly tight parking lot with places like Ba Mien Seafood Market and Moochee, and I would advise using street parking near these lots or farther up Myrtle Street and even 38th Ave S; I usually have better luck finding spots around those areas. The inside was playing a combination of V-pop and K-pop throughout my visit, and included a handful of tables for groups of 2-4 people. You order what you want up at the front. They're best know for their fried chicken, but I got their mango lover's smoothie this time as it was a pretty hot day. Very refreshing, and the mangoes themselves were very fresh as if they just turned ripe. Didn't matter that drink was pretty sweet, since it's just as how I remember getting it during several CID street festivals! I will need to update this review when I come for their fried chicken and probably also their khao man gai.
Last time I had Mangosteen's fish sauce wings and Boba Bar milk teas was awhile back when they were formerly located at The Boat on S Jackson in Seattle's CID. I had the opportunity to visit their current location with fellow Yelp Elite All Star, Carol C earlier today (4/11/26) at their current spot in South Seattle/Othello near S Myrtle & MLK Way. The parking lot is shared with many other businesses and the slots are weirdly configured, kind of tight, so exercise patience and caution. Other options include finding offsite street parking or use public transit (bus or light rail). That being said our timing was perfect, arriving right before the weekend lunch rush. We were able to peruse the posted menus, see the daily specials, which included the last weekend for Taste of Nations dining deals. Place your order and pay at the counter. One can dine onsite, others chose takeout. Orders are brought directly to one's table. Bus your table at the end. Carol C ordered a Hong Kong lemon iced tea, garlic noodles with fish sauce wings, and also added some lemon pepper wings. I did the same with the Hong Kong lemon iced tea, garlic noodles with shaken beef, and added an order of fish sauce wings. The iced tea was a bit sweet for me after a few sips. The rest was polished off later by The Homie. The garlic noodles were flavorful, beef was tender, and I enjoyed the red and yellow peppers. I did end up making a side pile of onions and green peppers, just not my preference. Overall the entree was okay, just a bit oily. Fish sauce wings were as I remembered and also brought home to share. While the overall dining experience was fine, experienced helpful customer service, what was ordered was accurate and received in good time, I would only return if in the vicinity. Thanks Carol for getting us there without incident to/from despite the traffic, weather, and parking situation!
soooo good! we tried the garlic noodle, fish sauce chicken, and lemon pepper chicken. My favorite was the fish sauce chicken!! honestly everything is good here. for drinks mango liver and peach creme was good too!! good spot to dine in or get take out. close to the light rail, small parking.
We decided to check this place out for lunch after seeing all the posts on Instagram about it and I thought it was good, but not enough to drive all the way from the Eastside for. Parking: they are in a busy plaza, so even though they have Parking, it can be hard to find. Plus spots are small as well. You order at the counter and they bring out the food for you. It's a pretty chill and laid back environment. Foodwise: Hainese chicken and rice - pretty good, rice was soft, chicken was tender, but bland. They have sauces but on its own, it should be flavorful enough. Garlic noodle with wings - noodles were good and very garlicky. Fish sauce wings had a good crispy texture but salty. You definitely need to eat it with the noodles. Overall the dishes were good, just nothing exceptional.
We got the hainanese chicken and garlic noodles with buffalo wings. First off, best garlic noodles ever. The noodle texture went so well the tiny bits of garlic pieces. It was super flavorful and I'm still thinking about it. The wings were packed with meat and they don't skimp out on the sauce on it! Hainanese chicken was pretty good but the rice could've been better. It felt a bit hard and lacked flavor compared to the other rices I've had with hainanese chicken. Unless that's how they wanted it here. We came on a monday night for dinner and it wasn't busy at all. There's a good amount of parking in the complex but I know it can be packed on the weekends. There's staff was super nice and the place was very clean!

This is honestly one of my favorite spots! The food is simple and basic in the best possible way -- just really, really good comfort food. The fish sauce-based sauce is absolutely amazing. It's savory, flavorful, and seriously addictive. I'm not even exaggerating when I say I almost wanted to lick every last bit off my fingers The garlic noodles are another favorite. They're buttery, garlicky, and so flavorful without being too much. They pair perfectly with pretty much any of the chicken here. And the chicken rice... I could not stop eating it! The rice itself is so fragrant and flavorful that I could honestly eat it on its own. Pair it with the tender, juicy chicken and that amazing sauce, and everything just comes together perfectly. It's simple food, but somehow so satisfying and comforting. I really enjoyed everything we ordered, and this was definitely one of those meals that left a lasting impression on me. My only complaint is that they're pretty far south from where I live! If this place were closer to my house, I could seriously see myself eating here every day. Definitely one of my favorite comfort food spots. read more

The most delicious chicken quarter leg and wings! The skin was crispy and light, meat was tender and juicy, and the sauces were amazing! Order at the counter, and they bring the food to your table. We ordered the 10 piece wings and split it between 2 flavors, fish sauce and honey chili crisp. Honey chili crisp was way too sweet. The fish sauce is the best thing ever. Coated really well and went perfectly with the wings. Not "fishy" in anyway. We also ordered the chicken on red rice, the chicken leg was AMAZING but the red rice was a bit weird. Not for me, tasted like Sazon and ketchup. Shaken been on garlic was so good. This is a must. Very casual atmosphere. More of a quick bite type place. Very good food. We will be back!! read more
hainanese chicken 5/5 ($16) chicken was perfectly cooked. chicken fat rice was also cooked perfectly and was divine. i tried a bit of each sauce and the soy garlic was my fave. however, they were all good so if you stop in make sure to try them all! fish sauce wings 5/5 (5 for $10) very good crisp without too much breading. i was initially going to get my favorite lemon pepper, but after reading reviews i had to try these out. mango creme 5/5 ($7) incredible!!!!!! there's real mango chunks that make this so refreshing. restaurant was clean and tidy. staff were so helpful and kind! parking lot is kind of small and there are many businesses in this plaza. a block away from the light rail othello stop, so no need to drive. overall, i would highly recommend checking this place out. everyone is right about the fish sauce wings! read more
Omg the fish sauce wings and the garlic noodles!! Sooo tasty! My husband picked it up for takeout! Definitely a new favorite spot for Seattle fried chicken wings! The wings and noodles were so good, we wish we had bought more! We also tried the Hainanese chicken but it was just ok for us.The mango and cream drink was very tasty and refreshing! Overall a really tasty spot and we will definitely come back for more wings and noodles! read more
I've had many really good fish sauce wings and I believe Mango steen's has the Best in Seattle so far. The chicken is cooked to perfection! It has a light crisp crunch with a juicy interior. The flavor is bursting with a combination of sweet, savory and tangy, making it absolutely irresistible and addictive. Highly Recommend! read more
Have been a couple times since they soft opened during soft open you received a milk or fruit tea with a purchase over $10. Wings and shaken beef are still as good as when they were a pop up. I especially like the fish sauce and lemon pepper wings. Beef is tender on the garlic noodles. Service is always friendly and helpful in making decisions. Parking in that strip mall can be challenging but we have lucked out so far and have been able to find parking both times. No actual signage yet look for the Cajun Crawfish sign for now. Just went here for lunch and everything was so good! Super friendly staff/owner? Gave us great recommendations. We got the chicken & rice and two different wings - fish sauce and teriyaki and both were excellent. The avocado mango coconut smoothie was also a hit. Our toddler crushed the chicken and rice so you know it's a huge compliment when a toddler likes something. They have plenty of seats for causal dining. Very reasonable prices. You know it's kid friendly because they have a couple of high chairs, a booster and also a table for diaper changes in the bathroom. My least favorite - the parking. On a busy day, the parking lot is a hot mess express since they have the grocery story there. I'd try to street park if you can. I'd be patient with parking though because getting in/out of the lot can take a while especially when people are driving slow. Would dine in again 10/10! read more

Whoa. I wasn't expecting to be impressed but I'm genuinely excited to come back here to eat. I found this restaurant while looking for places still open past 8pm. We ordered the garlic noodles with fish sauce-flavored wings and the hainan chicken. The garlic noodles are just fine but the chicken was near-perfect. Incredible crisp. Salty fish sauce flavor paired with a nice tang. Not quite sure what was used to season the wings but I'll be coming back to eat it again. The hainan chicken tasted typical to the other hainan chicken I've tried elsewhere. It comes with a small cup of soup (pictured below you'll see that it is delivered half filled). It's comforting but not the standout dish for this shop. Come here for the fried wings! read more
Mangosteen's Chicken Shop is worth the journey if you live far. Their new digs are located in an outdoor strip mall in the Othello neighborhood with a decent-sized free parking lot. However, if you have time and are able to do it, I recommend taking the light rail because where you get off is basically right across the street from the strip mall where Mangosteen is located. A must-get flavor combination is to order the fish sauce chicken wings, lemon pepper chicken wings, plain garlic noodles, and a mango smoothie of your choice. Both of the ones I tried were yummy. The owner/chef is friendly and knows his way around food. You can order food to go or dine inside on one of the tables. I am excited to come back to get my chicken wing-garlic noodle-mango smoothie fix again very soon!!! read more

Hands down, the best place for fish sauce wings and garlic noodle. I first tried their wings when they were still operating as a pop-up, but the opening of their permanent location, I can now drop by anytime I'm craving fish sauce wings! read more
I went at 11 AM when they opened. There is a large free parking lot but FYI it is very busy and full. The restaurant is also very close to the Othello light rail stop. Staff are super friendly. There is a lot of indoor seating. It was very clean inside. They also had an excellent cleanliness rating! I ordered the fish sauce five piece wings with garlic noodles. The wings were super crispy and flavorful. I loved the noodles as well. I would totally come back. read more
This place!!! Literally 11/10. The crispiness of the chicken + the sauce + the size of the wings were everything. The people there were also super sweet! Service was quick and everything was nice and hot when we got it. The space is clean and chill. It's definitely a must go when you're in Othello and you're craving wings! So glad they have a physical spot now! I always get wings when I see Mangosteen at festivals! The chicken is always delicious! Super crispy, juicy, and flavorful! Their drinks are also tasty but no textures. Service is very friendly and efficient. It can take a little while for the food to come out but that's expected with the soft opening. They're still working out the kinks. Super chill minimalist environment. Great place to grab great food and catch up with friends. It's in a strip mall with a bunch of other businesses and they don't have their sign up yet so it's a little tough to find. But they do have a parking lot and they're right across the street from the Othello link station. read more

Service is amazing, staff is very attentive and nice. The chicken is very tender yet lack of flavor. They do have a lot of sauce that you could use to add the flavor though. The mango smoothie is out of the world tasty! read more

Went here for a lunch. Service was quick, restaurant seemed clean. Food served within a few minutes of ordering. Pad Thai and veg fried rice was very good. Basil tofu with brown rice for $19 seemed a very small portion. Basil tofu had no taste and was not good at all. I would have given 4 stars if tofu dish tasted well. read more

Highly, Highly recommend Mango Steen! Great little spot to get some wings or other things. Service is quick and nice. They truly have some of THE BEST wings! Nice and crispy with great flavor. Definitely get the OG fish sauce wings. We've also had their garlic noodles, Shaken Beef Garlic Noodles and recently they had available Poke nachos. The Poke nachos are made with wanton chips, making them so light and delicious. These are not always available as it depends on the availability of products. You can't go wrong with anything you order here. Also try their smoothies/boba/teas. We've tried the Avo mango, these flavors just go so perfectly together. Also, the mango cream and Thai tea. We will be back for more wings, but also to try the Hainanese chicken and well everything else. read more
Came in for dinner and it was empty. They ran out of hainanese chicken for more than a day. They only had wings and noodles. They honestly have my favorite garlic noods. Happy I had them again. It was delicious as always. There was a bit more garlic this time around. We also got 20 piece fish sauce wings and got a side of the tomato rice (they called it vietnamese fried rice). They forgot the rice. Even after waiting a while the wings were still crispy and not soggy from the fish sauce. It still had a nice crunch. The meat inside was a bit bland. The fish sauce tasted like my mom's which was great. The tomato rice was such a disappointment though. It tasted very acidic and vinegary. We asked if they used vinegar and they said it was tomato. Not sure what kind of tomato sauce/paste but it was not pleasant to eat on its own. read more
